Luma finally found her way back to the entrance. It had been a long night for sure, but it was not one she would soon forget. With her stocking full of goodies and her 4 flitterrats, Luma made her grand departure.
Cecelia approached the designated location. A large section had been cleaned of vendor booths had been replaced with a wooden dance floor. Decorative twinkle lights were strung around for ambiance. It actually looked rather pretty. Off to the side was a stage for the Grendal performers. Cecelia was almost envious. Surely music for this type of setting would be something other than a cheery christmas tune. Amongst all the musicians she noticed a familiar face. Cecelia approached her former music teacher. "Surprised to see you here Professor, I thought only grads were playing today". Cecelia couldn't think of any other reason for Aiko to be here if he wasn't instructing student to perform. Typically you don't see members from the college at the Academy funded events. It retrospect had been quite a few years since she had seen him, so perhaps Professor was not the best title to address him with.
Winter nodded, making a mental note to ask for a book about familiars when she got home. "I hope he likes me...he did eat most of my peppermint bark though". She handed Jack down a candy cane. "You're nice people. I don't get to talk to people much. Everyone is too busy". To Talia, offering a candy cane, "They seem like they'd make good company then" To Lilah - "Also, you have pretty wings too. They look very soft" "Do you have a pet?" Winter was far more wordy when she was comfortable. She was very bright for her age just..extremely shy around people.

Reece waited patiently for a return fire in the meantime the tree she hid behind was right next to a plushie booth so she decided to snag one in the heat of battle.
After picking up a plant and a cute nezubat plush for herself, Erwyna watched as Veles began to nod off while standing and eating a brightly coloured fluff of candy floss. She chuckled and went to scoop the small litch into her arms and signaled for Syblia to come over. They did as their mother asked, scooping up a snow globe and an aetherjelly plush on the way. “Go let the others know I'm taking Veles home.”
With a nod, Syb turned and strode off to find their siblings. They came across Aleanette first, huddled over a table of steaming mugs, one clutched in her hands, deep in conversation with a fellow student. They relayed the news and then went to find the younger ones. Which wasn't hard considering they were both at grabbing buckets of enchanted cotton balls. “Hey guys, Wynnie took Veles home. I think I'm going too, but Alea’s over there and I'm sure Wynnie’s gonna send someone else in her place.”
Rowena walked off to go to the bathroom. On her way to the bath she heard a noise coming from attash can. She walked over and lifted up the trash can lid and seen a bunyip. She screamed at first and then a big smile crossed her face. She hasn’t seen one of these since she was little. They are notive to her fathers land. Her father was a shade. She picked the little guy up. He strated to freak out because he was scared. Then she hugged him and he calmed down. She told the little guy tjat he was coming home with her and gave her a big lick on her face.
Lilly dragged Birkita over to a game and tried her hand at it. She ended up losing all of her tries but got a consolation prize. The prize was a red lightbulb necklace. She grinned happily and placed it in her stocking.
Birkita
Birkita's hands were filled with the beanbags without her saying whether she wanted to play or not. Rolling her eyes, she tossed them all at once, not even trying. The attendant gave her a wary look but handed her a pink lightbulb necklace.
Sisal
Sisal decided he wanted some hot cocoa and grabbed some from the table. It would make for a good souvenir mug!
Vega Zenith
Of course, Vega wasn't happy with just the candy she got. Grinning widely, she grabbed some peanut brittle, stuffing it in her stocking. She grabbed a vespercat plushie as well.
Nym
Nym had finally gotten around to the festival. Mainly because he was bored. On the way in, he was handed a stocking and a mint flavored candyfloss.
7, 20, 3, 20 "and with that you dont get to meet them well into their junior years where sugar rushes dont really happen any more" Samhain replied with a mock stern glare. He did however groan at the thought of Trixxie running around with a sugar rush. Rune seemed to have more of his genetics. Way more than he would have wanted if his suspicions were correct. "Well makes sense, he wouldn't be a really good defense if he was just like me" Samhain replied. "still not many people say that about me, so thanks for that nashira" Salem replied. "oh there are ton around. they just seem to not be in this section for the most part" Samhain stated. "Mostly thought i seem to be seeing a lot that are jumping out to eat cookies." ------------------------------------------------------------------ So vega liked him crush wise. How did Leto really feel about that joking aside. Tsukiyomi had always been teasing him about his friendship with Jaden, about how it was practically a matter of time before they ended up with each other. Vega almost looked like he was expecting Leto to dump him. Seriously it wasn't like Leto went around and kissed people's noses just because he could. He should have just kissed him on the mouth. "Personally I am a horrible person to like crush wise Vega. I'm possessive, have a tendency to over work my self, and cruelly teasing as you saw. I am also not good at processing what I feel, however if it doesn't scare you away then... " and it was here he moved his hand to brush along the kirin's cheek to rest down at the back of vega's neck. He probably shouldn't say the first thing in his head as it sounded way to possessive. "then... well I like you too" his eyes briefly caught movement as his new vespercat brought back another familiar with a cookie, but that was something to ponder in a moment. --------------------------------------------------------------------- "yeah but he also has that, I might do something silly because I dont believe I should be happy" Jin stated and raised one of her plushies threateningly when leto's gaze flickered over to them for a brief moment. Brother offically threatened she turned back to her sister. "seee I totally told you it was just a matter of time before one of them decided they wanted to go home with you" Jin practically beamed, still of course in her soft voice. She grabbed a free plushie over to the side to celebrate. ---------------------------------------------------- "sounds like an excellent plan" Oran agreed when nirvasi offered their own suggestions. she looked over to where her nezubat was and knew exactly where her own want of looking to the more positive future was coming from. Some times there was no other way to go about things. "ah well thank you for the observation." Oran replied sheepishly. She didnt think herself as very cute. However it was a nice sentiment none the less. suddenly her tail went all spazzy as something totally just flopped its head down into her lap and stared up at her. "okay... hello... uh thank you" she stated when the familiar handed her its cookie. "Oberon is going to disown me"
Bowie Bowie wandered around a little more, his familiar following him, though pretending as though it didn't know him. "You sure are an interesting little guy. I hope you'll get along with David and Reed." The familiar looked at him with an ear twitch.
Miu Hmmm... What should she do now? She looked at the flitterat on her shoulder and smiled. "Maybe you'd like to dance?" She asked, reaching up to gently pet the familiar.
Sphinx "I know, I know. I should listen to you more." Though that was boring. She'd never say that of course. "I'm just so happy! My first familiar, and she's so pretty!" She snuggled the kidden a little more before looking at her brother, then back to Jin as she threatened him with a plushie.
Vega Vega blushed a little more when Leto touched his cheek. "You're dedicated." Vega countered. "When you put your mind to something, you see it through." He was able to make eyecontact with him now. "I've... spent enough time with you to know... you have your faults. But you are still wonderful." He slowly reached out and put his hands around Leto's hips. "Uh... so... does this mean... uhm... can I... call you my boyfriend then?" That was so weird! Did he really... have a boyfriend?
Undine YAY! It was time for a festival! Undine was really excited. She had just gotten to the academy, hadn't even seen her cousins yet! The hallowed kirin happily wandered around, looking at everything. It was all so MAGICAL! She was distracted as she looked around, but then her ears picked up a faint sound. Undine stopped, her ears twitching this way and that. She then turned and spotted a flitterat walking behind her. "Hi!" She beamed, holding a hand out to the brown familiar. The flitterat wasted no time in climbing her arm and settling at her shoulder. "Yay! This will be so much more fun, having a friend. I'm Undine. Oh, I should give you a name... how about I call you Gnome?"
Nashira "Something tells me you won't be able to stop me. After all, I am still at the academy. And you are not. Suppose I happened to encounter your children at school." She was still teasing. When Salem took over and spoke up, she cocked her head to one side. "Well, they do not know you, most likely." She shrugged. "Hm... I am sure I will encounter other familiars. I just find it strange to not have been mobbed by them. Not that I am complaining though." Well, maybe she was a little bit. She really did like familiars.
Nivasi Niva smiled at Oran, but then she seemed to freak out a little. "Hmmm? Oh, you've made a new friend." He looked at the specterfox that placed a head on her lap. "Oberon... is that your father? Why would he disown you?"
Kean's gaze once again wandered over to the cookie table, and Qilanna said they could look over there again. Since all of those cookies had been stolen that Kean had gotten, he wanted another one. Luckily he had been able to eat a whole one, but Qilanna had only had half of one! And that wasn't right!
They both headed over, and they both looked over the cookies, though Kean was the only one who was really looking. He thought about getting a chalice cookie because of his sister's zodiac sign, but she had gotten a mirror, he was pretty sure, cookie already. Maybe she would like something different? He had had a lyre cookie already, and that was the one he had actually gotten to eat. Maybe she would like it too? He certainly did. He picked up the lyre cookie and handed it to Qilanna. "Eat it! I've had it before and it tastes great!

Talia had never been called nice before! She felt her face heating up at the compliment. "Thanks! You're nice too! And thank you for the candy cane!" She replied, taking the offered candy cane and putting it in her cocoa. She had heard someone talking about it before, how it could flavor the cocoa a bit! Though she wouldn't leave it in there for too long. She wanted to say that no one had really ever been this nice to her before, but maybe it just meant she was with the wrong class of freshlings? No one here had been mean to her so far, even the vendors! Maybe more people were okay with geists than she thought!
She giggled at the spectrefox though. "Yeah, it seems that the familiars really like to take our food. Hopefully they won't sneak too much from it and get sick! Though I don't know if they would get sick from it or not..." She hadn't yet given any of her 3 fennekits any of her food, but the one had taken half of a cookie. Hopefully it wouldn't be paying for it later!

Lailah smiled at winter. "Thank you. They are very nice though I can't use them yet." She replied, though she still thought Winter's wings were very pretty. It was just hard to put sweaters on with hers, she had to get ones with holes already in them!
She nodded at Winter's next question. "Yes, a jackalope followed me." She replied, grabbing the jackalope carefully out of her stocking and putting her on the table. "She took a cookie from me, but she is quite pretty. And she doesn't seem to mind my stocking!" She would have to go and perhaps get a book on proper jackaclope care though. But the jackalope seemed to be content with sleeping for now. Hopefully if Lailah just paid enough attention to it, it would be well taken care of!

Qilanna took the cookie from her brother and started to eat it immediately. She didn't mind losing part of the cookie the first time, but she often forgot to eat, and the only thing she had been able to eat so far had been part of the cookie, and part of the peppermint bark that they had gotten. She had forgotten to eat dinner the night before and hadn't yet eaten breakfast, though it was already past lunch time. Her stomach was starting to protest!
She felt the vespercat on her shoulder hissing and looking down at the groud. Qilanna continued to eat the cookie, but looked at where her vespercat was hissing, and there was a flitterat climbing up her pant leg. It seemed determined to get the cookie she was now eating. Qilanna quickly finished it off, suggesting to her brother that they get some hot chocolate after this, and then looked back at the flitterat smiling. "Sorry, you're too late for cookie." She said. "But... you can always stay with me if you want?" She replied, picking up the flitterat despite her vespercat's protests and stuck it inter her stocking. "There we go little one. You can stay with me." Kean made a comment that the fliterat that she now had looked like the one he had just gotten, and maybe they were siblings too? Qilanna smiled at his suggestion. "That sounds like a good idea Kean. And if they need some company, we can have playdates with them." She would have to check first to see if they could breed together though, it would not be fun to have flitterat babies running about.
Nuka couldn't believe he almost forgot about the festival! The hangover from the night before had kept him at home for the most part but when it came time for his shift at the academy, he couldn't possible ignore all the hustle and bustle of the academy.
Grinning widely, he looked around at the place with awe, ears twitching in excitement. A stocking and a bundle of candycanes were handed to him. "Thanks!" he chirped, winking as he grabbed the proffered gifts.

Aias... would rather not be at the event. There was too many people, too many bodies, and the noise had his heart racing and palms sweating.
But... some of his charmed ornaments were on display and he had to at least give them a good look before going home. Fidgeting, he nearly missed the stocking and candy floss held out to him. "... thanks," he said after a moment, staring at the cute stocking. He was too addicted to christmas decorations, probably.
The moment Persefoni entered the grand celebration, she almost wished she'd stayed home. Almost. There were so many people that it was honestly a sort of shell shock for her tonight. But there was no way in heck she was leaving. Not when she'd practically had to beg Raptor to let her off for the evening. With a small sigh, she picked out a stocking and went to sit down for a moment to gather her wits. Not long after did she feel a tug on her dress and she looked down to find a brightly coloured cockatriel yanking at the fabric. She snorted and rolled her eyes at the thing, but it just kept on.
Ashford and his spectrefox roamed the open area, both a little too preoccupied to notice a spotted flitterat climbing into his stocking. Though as she picked up some candy canes, Eli noticed. She held her tongue with a quiet giggle and nearly squealed aloud when she saw Mbizi strut in, grabbing a stocking and a book for himself. She ran past Aleanette picking out antlers and holding a new plush and nearly barrelled over Andriel who just laughed and told her to slow down before she fell as they went back to selecting their own antlers.
Cecelia sat down at one of the decorated table. Their was a black iron chair on either side. The table itself was clothed in a shimmery white sheet, on top of which sat a mason jar filled with small glowing orbs. The decor paired well with all the hung fairy lights. It was very quaint to say the least but somewhat charming. She had no clue how her mother could ever see this whole event as romantic. It wasn't like while she was sitting here someone would walk up to her and walk to engage in conversation. Thats highly unlikely and unrealistic given the only intellectuals she came across tonight were hired. How much longer would she have to wait before she could warp home? Cecelia looked down at her crystal. Nothing yet. She sighed and tried her best to get comfortable, crossing her legs like a proper lady. "I wonder if they will serve refreshments.."

"She's gorgeous". She turned her attention back down to Jack who decided he didnt want to be a mattress anymore and climbed up on the bench next to her. He held his head high and looked around, only settling after ensuring the coast was clear of dangers. Winter looked at the two across from her. "I've never had friends before..would you like to be friends? There weren't many kids where I was living... and I've yet to meet any other freshlings like me in Enoch". Winter quickly looked down, rather embarrassed to have asked such a question to two people she just met. But it was lonely in Enoch and she still had to take all her classes. It would help a lot if she could have some people to spend time with. "And...if you don't mind...could I maybe hang out with you guys...if not thats okay. I wouldn't wanna be a third wheel...". The fair wouldn't be open for too much longer she thought so it was as good a time as any to try to socialize a little bit but she was sure they didnt wanna just sit here and drink cocoa for that time.

Georgette: “Ahhhhh!” Georgette howled as the fake snowball went down the back of his sweater. He jerked around to see who did that to him, hands busy thrashing behind his back to get the thing out. There was a freshling right by him but they were just standing there holding a cup of hot chocolate. Awfully suspicious though.
He narrowed his eyes at them as he got ahold of the snowball and dropped it on the floor. “I really hope that wasn’t you. Because if it was, you’ll regret it.”

Vígdís: Vígdís crawled out from under the tables, the crowd seemed to have thinned a little bit and she was feeling more confident as she headed to a table covered in shaped cookies. Víg looked them over carefully, then selected one shaped like a mirror. As she grabbed a hold of it a vespercat strode out of the crowd and started rubbing against her ankles. “Ohhh. Would you like to be petted, pretty?” She leaned forward and carefully stroked it’s back.
Samhain just raised an eyebrow. "well then you will most likely be inflicting them on lace as class keeps me away most school nights unfortunately". However a silence descended over him as Salem listened to Nashira's words. the more craggily personality didn't totally believe her but then again that was fine. "well there is always the next festival too." Samhain stated and then frowned when he realized there was a familiar face standing silently next to Nashira. "got bored did we?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Oh did I really need that old...." the child trailed off noticing that the voice was higher than the parent he had walked in with. "Well nothing was blowing up so decided to come back and be a good kid or what ever good kids are supposed to do Dad. Plus they kept handing me plants" Rune replied having come up while they were talking. He was holding said red plant. "hmmm litch with orange shawl thingy. You have to be Ms. Nashira. I'm rune. "Now while Leto is being sappy or what ever he is doing and I've offically threatened him what area of the festival shall we see?" Jin asked. "Oh no Oberon isn't my dad. My parents are out of the picture. Oberon is my older half brother and my guardian. We just dont have the larger of the familiars at my house, although we do have the yard for it. so here I am taking one home."
Miu "Oh! I bet you'd like something to drink. I know I could use something. Hmmm... I wonder if there's a water fountain or some punch or something..." The little flitterat on her shoulder just sort of laid over her shoulder.
Sphinx Sphinx slowly grinned. "Oh Jin. You're never done being a sibling. But you can be done being a good sibling..." She slowly held up the bucket of indoor snowballs. "Wanna have a little fun with Leto and Vega?" She asked with a brow waggle.
Vega "I really would like to call you that..." Vega smiled. AH! He wanted to call Leto all sorts of dorky pet names now. He looked into Leto's eyes and giggled a little. He felt so giddy! "Sorry, I don't mean to laugh... I'm just... I donno. Excited? Relieved?"
Undine With Gnome in tow, Undine was totally ready to explore the festival. The first stop was to get something to eat. Undine grabbed some fluffy candy and started nibbling on it.
Nashira Nashira chuckled a little. "Weekends. Send Rune home Friday night with a bag of sweets." Then, as if on cue, Rune came up to join them. She looked down at the 'good child' curiously. "You are Salem's child, that is for sure." She could tell that instantly. "Yes, I am Nashira. You must be Rune. Some day I am going to send you home with a ton of sugar to consume around your dad." She said with a completely straight face.
Nivasi "Oh, my mistake. I apologize for assuming." He looked from Oran to the specterfox, and back. "Yeah, sudden familiars are rather-" He was cut off as one such sudden familiar hopped into his lap. He stared at the vespercat then started laughing.
