LeBellda pulled on her tail. "Come now steak there are festivities to be had. Oooh, Looky a little torti, awh come here little guy!" She attempted to coax the slow familiar over, but it seemed very disinterested in moving. "Fine, we will come to you. You're my friend now aren't you? Were gonna be even better friends than me and Steak, though don't tell him, were not that good of friends anyway." To this he tail pushed himself against her face. "GET OUT OF HERE STEAK I'M SPENDING TIME WITH MY NEW BEST FRIEND!" she pushed her tail off of her with one hand while extending the other to the torti.
Yaruka was unsure why she had decided to come to this event. The masquerade ball had been some fun and she had gained herself a bit of a furry following....but being surrounded by people yet feeling entirely alone had only reminded her of her isolation. Despite this, perhaps some part of her hoped that this could change it. She just...had a hard time talking to people. It wasn't that she didn't want to, she just wasn't sure if she would only be a nuisance and shouldn't bother. Upon entering she saw the cute stockings and took the black one, just because she enjoyed the starkness of its color, then took a moment to look around at the decor. It was lovely....and then her eyes saw a book stand. Wandering over she picked up a copy of The Little Void Maiden and smiled as she recalled reading it quite some time ago when she was a child. It would be nice to read it again...and she was never too old for fairy tales.
Danielle wandered in and smiled to herself at the decorations. Everything looked so cold yet so warm and inviting....it was a beautiful contradiction that was perfectly befitting of the Solstice. She didn't even mind that it was quite busy with noise and activity....besides, she had ear muffs on and it helped dilute some of the noise so it was tolerable. She picked up a stocking and smiled at the design...then noticed that it felt like it had something in it already. Curiosity getting the best of her, she gently upturned it and shook it, allowing a little blue snowflake bracelet and cookie to fall into her hand that was....beautifully decorated like the symbol of Asteria...her birth sign. She was holding it delicately in her claws, examining it with fascination when a dark, star-speckled nezubat swooped down and snatched it up in its claws! The imp gasped and stared up at the little trickster, who just flapped its wings and hovered just out of her reach with the cookie!
Guzma was totally stoked! He LOVED the Solstice and if anyone embodied the spirit of the season, he felt like he definitely did....or he would if he didn't look like a punk....BUT that was just how he do! Right away he picked up a cute jingle stocking, wishing it had some bells on it to actually make it jingle. Oh! Just as luck would have it, he saw someone giving out some jingle bell earrings, so he happily picked up a pair and hooked them onto the stocking, then somehow attached the thing to a belt loop in his pants. Now he would jingle wherever he went AND he could have his hands free! Awesome! He felt rather pleased with himself when something came up and nudged the back of his legs forcefully enough to make him stumble a bit. He turned around in confusion and then saw a big, beautiful pair of green eyes staring up at him from a big fuzzy face. Oh....my....Nine....it's a freaking BUNYIP!!! And it looked like peppermint candy which made it freaking adorable as all Hell! Guzma grinned broadly and squatted down to its level, gingerly reaching out a hand....and he had to contain himself from giggling like a moron when the creature pressed its nose into his palm, which was now rubbing through the soft fur. "....I'm gonna call you Flossy..."
Mariana was so excited and smiled as bright as all the Solstice lights when she was handed a stocking and allowed to wander around a bit. She still stayed close to the adults that she knew would look out for her and keep her safe....but there was so much to see that she had a hard time keeping herself from just skipping off!...but a proper lady wouldn't do such a thing. She could behave. Just as she was looking around and trying to decide where to go first, someone walked up and handed her a pair of those antlers that had jingle bells on them. Like she WASN'T going to instantly put them on and shake her head a little just to hear the soft jingles. They sounded so pretty!

Tisha was suuuuuper excited for Winter Solstice! Lots of fun activities and opportunities to get cool stuff. Also a lot of talk about the Nine, but she felt super inclined to let that fly over her head. She had her reasons, and besides, all that stuff felt a little too lofty for her. Sneaking away from Kelvir so she could explore a little on her own, she encountered a lovely reddish and white torti! Both she and her tails leaned forward to goggle at the majestic beast; it didn't seem alarmed at the equivalent of three heads staring at it. Giving a silly little squeal of delight, she hoped there'd be room at the house for this beastie...

Celebrations and parties were practically Aurora's bread and butter. It was a perfect time to see how the fashion trends were leaning so she could anticipate what would be popular in the coming months and plan accordingly. She picked up a jangly pair of antlers as she entered and put it on her head between her horns (it took some doing). Might as well be festive while she was at it.
The stars were aligned in a good omen for budding romance and Valentine the ever romantic never missed an opertunity such as this. Excited at the prospect of dancing with someone under the stars the gushing Neko spent all day charming her dress to sparkle like the night sky. Surely this would attract good attention she thought to herself as she did one last look in the mirror before heading to the party. Upon arriving she was breathtaking at the beautiful decorations of the event, but even more breathless by how beautiful the night sky looked. She knew tonight was her lucky night and regardless of whether or not she got to meet someone special she k we she would make memories to last.
Citaligroaned as yet another event was going on. She really should just stay in her dorm and call it good, she absolutely hated socializing. But, there was a chance she could pick up a new book or two. The events were good for that much at least.
So donning her best outfit, she made her way to the festivities, stopped and grabbed a stocking and made her way into the actual event. Why am I here again? she groaned to herself as she saw all the others around the room. Let's just find some books and get out of here. With that she went and found a table that had a couple of books, and she browsed through them, unsure of which one to get at the moment. There were just so many! Finally she decided on one, put it in her stocking, and walked away after thanking the student that was running the table.
Just as she was about to leave, she looked around and spotted some adorable plushies. Ugggh...I do also need some new plushies for my collection. They make great reading buddies. And so she wandered over to the table, and finally decided on a giant stuffie, which, she somehow managed to fit into the stocking.

Kasseri: Kass ambled along, gazing around her slowly at all the tables of items and the mingling crowds. She grinned as she scooped up a stocking for herself, a nice blue one. She continued forwards, stopping at one table to smile at someone before picking up a bundle of peppermint canes and quickly moving on to another table overflowing with plushies. Kass scooped up a Fennekit.

Tinú: Tinúviel wandered in haphazardly, scooting this way and that around the other people. He sashayed over to the stockings, grabbing a pretty purple one for himself before he moved on to another table. This one was stacked with books. Spotting a romantically inclined book cover, he quickly snagged it and shoved it in his stocking with a twinkle in his eye. That might be a pretty good read, just curled up under the blanket with his vespercat cuddled in his lap.

Sylkie: Sylkie danced through the crowd, humming happily to herself as she nabbed a stocking. Pink to match her pink and blue fur. She scooted past a rather large fellow who was gazing at a huge pile of plushies and moved over to the table that had snowglobes. The things were fascinating and she really wanted to get one to show to her little friend Habushu.

Habushu: Habushu followed behind Sylkie as fast as he could but she was much more agile than he was, having gotten more exercise than he had yet. He stopped dead in his tracks as he spotted an overflowing mound of plushies. He ducked under someone’s arm and ran up to the side of the table that had the giant vespercats stacked up. He reached up and grabbed one before moving on, giant plush in his arms, stocking tucked between the vepsercat and his chest. He looked around for Sylkie before shrugging and moving onwards. Soon a table that had bracelets caught his eye. Moving at a slower pace he meandered over and picked up a red bracelet before continuing onwards, still searching for Sylkie.

Georgette: Georgette looked around wide eyed, a black stocking he’d just picked up dangling from one hand as he looked around. It was crowded, more packed with others than he’d ever seen in his whole life. There were so many things in this area, he had no idea what to do with himself. Turning in circles provided a little bit of a glimpse of something glowing. Georgette saw the sparkles glowing brightly from a table and quickly darted through the crowd to it. His eyes widened in delight as he spotted a lightbulb necklace that glowed purple. He reached out and picked it up, putting it around his neck right away.
Bowie Bowie couldn't help himself. He really loved being around people, so when he saw people were dancing, he sauntered his way over and danced with whomever wished to. He was friendly, and dancing with strangers at a festival like this was fun. As he made his way around the room, he noticed a small cherub being overlooked as people danced. Bowie bowed to them, and they danced, which brightened the cherub's mood. As thanks, the stranger gave Bowie a plushie before running off.
Miu Miu pondered reading the book she had gotten now. But no. No no, she should wait and read at home. She wouldn't meet anyone if she had her nose in a book! She was determined to make friends! As she wandered, she saw someone with really cool hair, so she tried to make her way over to them to compliment it when she very nearly kicked a Cockatriel! It bit her ankle, though it was just a glancing blow. Miu did her best to apologize to the poor thing.
Zaye Zaye chased the kid through the whole party before losing sight of them. She sighed, trying to catch her breath. Oh well. She looked at the bucket of indoor snowballs and sighed. She'd have to find a use for them later. As she looked up and looked around, she saw a bunch of stalls and shops and games set up. Maybe she could find something as fabulous as she is? She browsed everything until she found a light up necklace. It was cute, and flashy. Not TOO tacky and horrible. Yes, this would do just fine.
Sphinx As she was inspecting the bag of candy, she saw her sister hand the whiteboard to Leto. As she watched, someone snuck by and plopped a pair of antlers on her head. She blinked and tried to look at them, but couldn't see them on her head, of course. With a shrug, she went running back to Leto and Jin, bag of candy in hand and bounced in place a moment. She smiled at Leto. "LOOK!" She held it up, then thought a moment before signing to him "I got candy. Want some?" Then promptly opened the bag and held a piece up to him.

Vega After slipping the bracelet on, Vega wandered around some more. He spotted a group of people who seemed to be having fun, throwing snowballs. A snowball fight inside? He came closer, and was handed a bucket, and for a few minutes, he enjoyed playing, but after a little while, he had to bow out again as he was tired from the exertion.
Asher Tail wagging, Asher wandered around. He walked past a table that seemed overloaded with plushies. He had passed when there was a crash. The table had fallen over and plushies were everywhere! He turned back to help pick them up, and when all was said and done, he had cute little vespercat plushie.
Meadow After learning that the strange and LARGE familiar was a bunyip, Meadow found himself... contemplating researching them. Him. Studying. Because he wanted to? Oh, Aurelia wouldn't ever let him live that down. He would never tell her. As he was thinking about that, someone handed him a book. Before he could utter a word, they were gone. Man, did he look like he wanted to do school work at a party? He glanced at the book in his hand. Wait, this was about pirates. Hmmmmm... Maybe Aurelia would like to read this with him...
Avalon Smiling at Ten, he tucked the snowglobe away where it would be safe. "Oh Ten. I'm not that wonderful." He leaned in to give the shorter male a kiss on the cheek. "I'm selfish, wanting to be alone with you and Sui and our family, and not share you with your fans, or with anyone here." He laughed. Ten smiled and shook his head at that. As they moved on, Avalon spotted some large plushies and stared at them. Ten had an idea.
Ten "You like those, hmmm?" Ten slowly put his arm around Avalon's hips as they looked at the large plushies. When Avalon nodded, Ten carefully picked out a soft brown plushie and handed it to Avalon. The hybrid tried to decline, saying he really didn't need anything, but he took it all the same, smiling. This was a gift from Ten, and therefore was precious. Ten then picked out a blue one. "Now we can match."
Nashira She was feeling a little gloomy, to be honest. She sighed, looking around. Where were Samhain, and Bebe, or Ares? She felt self conscious being here alone when everyone else seemed to be having fun. Maybe she should text someone to come join her? She must have looked really down, because someone in a bright, glittery costume handed her a glowing necklace to 'brighten her day' as they said, before running off.
Rowena was was excited to go to this event. She put on her best outfit and put on a warm scarf and hat on Rowan. She walked out the house and heaed of the the event. On the way to the event she had to go through the wood to pick up Tania. Tania is Rowena best friend and it rare for Tania to actually come out of the woods to socialize with others. As she was on the way to get her Rowena started to hear a noise that was following her. Rowan started to notice too so she stop and waited for what ever was following her to come up to her. The out in front of her a creature . That she has never seen before, so she bent down on her knees and held her hands out and smiled. The creature got closer and aloud her to pet it. The colors of this lovely creature made Rowena thing of Christmas. Rowan slithered over to the creature and it got startled. Rowena smiled and put her hand on rowans head to insure that he was safe. The Creature came back more playful this time. She smiled and looked at the little thing “ do you want to come home with me?” The creature jumped up and started to lick her face. “ ok ok i am guessythat is yes, now lets give you a name. She looke at it. Now are you a boy or girl. You seem like a girl how about the name Joy?” The Joy loved the name and started to lick her more.
Tania Tania looked around for her brown cloak. When she couldn’t find hit she flapped her wing in anger. “ WHY CANT I FIND IT!!!!” she looked at Sage “ Do you know where its at?” Sage slither to her bed room door “ Here.” Tania walked over there and opened her bedroom door and there is was hang on the door. She heard a knock on the door and it must of been Rowena and Rowan. She hurried and open the door. “ Ready!!!” The headed out. On the way there Tania told Rowena she wanted to stop by a General store. On her way in she seen a lovely plushie it was adorable. She grabbed the plushie and on her way there she seen a book that also caught her attention. So she garbbed it too with out thinking and checked out.
Kean had been very excited for this event, it was the first time he would be celebrating it without his parents around! Or at least the school's version of it, which seemed to give out a lot more than his parents! He had gotten a stocking to put all of his stuff in, and he hoped that it would be full by the time this was all over! They even had cookies that they got to eat, though you had to do something special in order to get them, which Kean didn't really like, but if it was the only way to get a cookie then he would do it! Nothing would stop him!
Luckily though, it seemed that they had deemed him worth of the cookie, and he was handed a Lyre, just like his sign! But before he could stuff it in his face like he so desperately wanted to, a Flitterat took the cookie straight out of his hand! Kean let out a quick, "Hey!" as soon as he realized the cookie was gone, and went to chase after the flitterat. It was hard though, with Kean being so small and everyone else being so big! But it seemed that the flitterat was also having trouble navigating the crowd, and eventually landed. Kean quickly caught the flitterat, who tried to escape at first, but eventually relented to Kean's pets. "That wasn't a nice thing you did Flitter!" Kean said, stuffing the cookie in his mouth. "I'm gonna tae you ome so you cah learh soh mahhers". He said in-between bites of cookie.

Talia was a bit nervous as she looked around the whole event. She wasn't too sure what to do, and with so many here and so many of them being older she... well she wasn't sure what to do. She quietly accepted her stocking, quietly wondering what it was for, before she saw all of the prizes. She quietly looked at the table, wondering what she should take from the trinkets. There were so many! There were quite a few foods, some bells and antlers, books! How could she possibly choose?! However, what really caught her eye was the hot chocolate. She needed something to keep her a bit warm, and so she quietly grabbed a mug, and moved away from the table to let others in.
Her new plush tucked under her arm Luma continued deeper into the festival. When she reached the center there were various treat vendors handing out goodies to young freshlings. There was a group of people in fancy clothing playing cheery tunes, though their expressions were anything but cheery. Luma didn't quite understand how you can look so serious when playing something so fun, but then again she couldnt play an instrument to save her life. Everything looked so yummy she wanted to try it all. For now she decided to try the candyfloss. The vendor smiled at her kindly and asked how many, to which Luma responded, just one. The vendor turned and grabbed a large purple cone of floss from his display and handed it to her. "That is a lot of candyfloss" Luma thought to herself, feeling kind of embarrassed she got the largest one there. As she was walking away she noticed the cone felt a little heavy for something thats so light and fluffy. Curious. Shrugging it off she took a bite of her candyfloss and found herself nose to nose with a white nosed flitterrat. Any other nightmare mightve flipped at the sight of this in their treats but Luma loved the species. Her familiar Numa was her best friend, and also a flitterrat. Poor thing must've been hungry. She booped the little white nose lifted the rat onto her shoulder. She wondered if they had a companion somewhere at the festival but if not, Numa would surely enjoy the company. She pulled off a piece of the candyfloss and handed to her new friend who happily nommed at, then continued to eat it herself. Afterall it wasnt going to eat itself.

Cecelia's group had just been relieved to join the festivities. She was delicately putting away her violin when a small freshling approached her. The child beamed at her and told her that her music was really pretty, and that she was pretty too. Cecelia wasn't good with children, she found these interactions very awkward. So, she just attempted her best smile and patted the child on the head. The child bounced excitedly and handed Cecelia a lollypop. Before she could refuse the child ran off. It was still in the wrapping so at least it wasn't contaminated with germs. She placed it in her bag candy down with the mug from earlier. Having her bag secured on her shoulder and her violin case in hand, Cecelia headed out to explore the Solstice Festival.
October was getting ready when his stepbrother walked in. Edgar was so happy to go out for this holiday. For the event they looked for the warmest outfits they can find. Edgar was excited for his stepbrothers to take him out. He has never had a Christmas holiday sinc ehe has been born
Continuing to dodge Kelvir (who was probably going to have some Stern Words for her when he caught up), Tisha skittered through the party, looking for more swag to grab. Soon, she happened upon it: a lovely tray full of zodiac-themed cookies. If she could figure out how to snag the entire tray, she figured that it would make a lovely bribe for Kelvir so he wouldn't be mad at her. That and it would just be nice to have a bunch of pretty cookies to eat. However, at that moment, a Kidden jumped up on the table and grabbed the mirror cookie that Tisha was going to grab! "No, wait, get back here, that's for me and the rest is for my daddy!"
A harrowing chase ensued. Eventually, Tisha caught up to the Kidden. The cookie was history, of course, and they were both pretty out of breath. At that point, the Kidden approached Tisha and lowered its head. Something fell off, and Tisha realized that the Kidden was offering her its crown! "Apology accepted!" Grinning broadly, she scooped up the crown and placed it on her head before moving on with the Kidden in tow.
Now toting a bunch of candy canes to munch on, Aurora picked up a plushie as well, shoving both things into her stocking to carry around easier. She was quickly losing interest in looking at fashion and becoming more focused on collecting goodies and having fun. She had literally the rest of the year to note trends. Today was just for fun!
