Still Erwyna watched as her children ran about. Syblia gathered up two glowing bulbs from one table, slipping the pink one over their head and dropping the blue one onto Elirian, who squealed with delight and turned to hug them. The doll then ran up to her with a blue bracelet and held it out to her. “I got this for you Wynnie!” She exclaimed as she slipped it onto her mother’s wrist. Just as soon as she'd come, she was gone once again.
Ashford dipped back into her line of sight carrying a small potted plant with that smug smile still plastered on his face. Veles was picking out a plush to go with candy canes he was stuffing into his stocking. And finally Aleanette came back to her, a look of concern on her face. “Uhmm… Wynnie? I think I have a tag along…” she muttered before turning to point at a rather large animal following her.
The naiad blinked before laughing softly, “Well honey, I think you need to go talk to the librarian cause it don't seem like it's gonna let you outta its sight.”
Yaruka had to somehow adjust it so that she could carry the giant plushie and still somehow make it around the festival so she used her scarf to tie the thing to her back. There, that'll work. She had just gotten it adjusted when someone came over handing out books from a random assortment in their arms. They handed one to her with a wink before they continued on and she looked down, blushing immediately upon seeing the cover. Oh dear.....shoving this into the stocking quickly before anyone else questions it, thank you very much.
Danielle was not very good at most games....even silly carnival or festival games. It shouldn't have surprised her that when she decided to try a game of ring-toss she would only make one....but the person running the booth seemed to feel bad that she didn't have an easy time with it. They slid her what they calld a 'booby prize' of a bracelet and an aetherjelly plushie. It was cute, at least.
Guzma was loving this; warm drink, fuzzy friends (well, except for the wisp) and fun all around. What could make it better? It'd be nice to have others to hang around with, sure, but this was still fun....and what was funnier was that Flossy wasn't minding that the antlers were still on. Wait a minute....where was Flossy? He looked around and didn't see her, about to leap up and go on a mad search for her when the creature was spotted lumbering back to him. Oh thank goodness....wait...was that a potted plant she had in her mouth?? He carefully took it and she seemed to be pleased that he took the hint, her tail wagging a bit as he looked at the little green thing. Was this a gift from Flossy?
Mariana had carefully put the snowglobe in her stocking when she looked up and saw a young shade girl walking around looking kind of....scared. She was hugging her tail and, judging by the expression on its face, it looked frustrated but understanding. She frowned a little that she seemed so nervous but maybe it was because she was new? She looked like she could use a friend...but how to approach her when she looked like she'd run off at a moment's notice? Mariana looked around till she spied something that might work, grabbing a couple of bags of the stuff before she walked towards the girl. "Hi, I'm Mariana." She said in a light, friendly way. The shade jumped a bit and clung to her tail a little tighter, hiding her face halfway behind it. "...H-h-hi.....um....I-I'm Tarja...." Mariana smiled, glad that Tarja didn't run immediately and handed her a bag. "Do you like peanut brittle? It tastes the best around the Solstice. Want to try some?"
Tarja blinked in surprise that Mariana was being so....nice. She didn't know her....but still, she seemed harmless. When she was asked if she liked peanut brittle her ears perked up a little and she came out from behind her tail with a nod. "Uh-huh....a-are you sure I can have some?" Mariana just smiled at her. "Of course! I don't mind sharing." Tarja took the bag carefully and opened it to smell; it smelled delicious and she wasn't the only one. Tarunen came over and was sniffing the bag, trying to shove his nose into it immediately. "Taru, nooooo! You gotta be patient!" Mariana blinked curiously at the tail, never having encountered this before. "....Your tail....has a name?" Tarja pushed Tarunen's face back so she could get out some brittle and broke it in half, letting the tail have its share. "Uh-huh. His name is Tarunen. We share a body and tummy but he's a different person than me. He's nice but he's nosy."
Karayas--Her new bracelet on her wrist she began to explore more of the festival. She knew she was safe as there were aides stationed all over the grounds to keep an eye on all the freshlings to give them some sense of freedom but still kept safe. She decided to take a break, she was getting tired. Plopping down on a bench she began to people watch.
(no prize taken)
Kalek--His new familiar would not stop running from him, it was a game Kalek knew but he was getting tired. He tried to keep up but he began to lag behind, stopping to catch his breath he heard a "SPLATTTTTTTTT" noise and he jumped and ran to see what caused it. "Oh no, you ran into a table and knocked over all the prizes!" he cried. Reaching down he began to pick up the items off the cold ground and brushed each of them off before placing on the table that was sitting upright again. Suddenly he heard, "No need child, accidents happen" and he was given a bag of candy as thanks.
SnowLily--Waiting for Dayanara to finish talking to her Mother, SnowLily looked around and before she could walk over to the table with shiny things on it her new familiar bounced over and knocked on off the table. SnowLily scolded them and picked it up to return it but no one was there to take it so she now had another plushie!
Dayanara--Laughing hysterically at her brother, Dayanara did not pay attention as a Demon walked by asking if anyone wanted a prize, they were free.
(no prize taken)
Dayeon--Back on his two legs, Dayeon began to walk over to his Sister and Mother but his new familiar tripped him yet again!! Falling on his face he turned on his back and laughed until his sides hurt.
(No prize taken)
Pippi--She was done with swinging and placed the new plushie in her stocking. Looking around she asked if she could take a quick rest then get something to drink.
(No prize taken)
Milseain--Stumbling around, not sure of what to do she decided to sit down for a few minutes to think about where she should go next in the festival.
No prize taken)
Dec 9th: Karayas, Dayeon and Pippi's rolls 18, 15 and 16. Total is 49. Dec 10th: Karayas rolled 18, taking two of the next post's rolls 15 for Su Talun and 19 for Wynter Isizini. Roll total is 52. Point total is 101.
Kayndie--Thinking about what kind of snacks to get the kids she heard a noise and turned quickly to see Dayeon had tripped again over his familiar. She couldn't help it she began to laugh, it started out a slow giggle then became full blown, side holding laughing! Her daughter and friend stared at her like she done lost her mind.
(no prize taken she can't stop laughing long enough to get one)
Callie Mae--For her the festival was all about Pippi, this was her day. She would play games if Pippi wanted her to, or join in getting trinkets for her for now she just enjoyed this time she was spending with her.
(no prize)
Cyndal--Cyndal was pleasantly surprised she was having fun, usually fun for her was modeling clothes, jewerly or makeup. The hustle and bustle of the fashion industry but here? it was shocking to her to actually let her hair down as the saying goes and have some fun. Looking over she saw a lovely bracelet and stopped to inquire on how to obtain it. The Goblin who was at the table simply said 'Smile and smiled at her in return. Feeling self conscience she smiled and he shook his head, "Not like your a model, like your having fun be yourself!" he obviously knew who she was so she just giggled and smiled a little and he handed her the bracelet.
Cadhla--Feeling the cold air brush through her wings as she fluttered them felt amazing, which for her was odd. The cold usually bothered her race but she loved it The air felt fresh, clean and it was a wonderous feeling. Upon entering she was given her choice of a stocking and she chose the Blue one, it was pretty. Making her way around the festival she happened upon a juggler who was juggling trinkets each time he saw someone walk by he would toss one at them to keep. She got close enough and she was tossed a bag of plushie! "Adorable, thank you!" and walked off placing it in her stocking.
Su Talun--Taking in the sights, she had heard from some people passing by there were games and some of the prizes were familiars! Oh how she would love one! She did not have a favorite type of familiar, she adored them all. Looking around she saw a booth and inside it to the side was a pen of familiars. Walking over she asked how to play and found it pretty simple. The object was to roll a ball up the board and get it into the holes, each hole had a different number measuring how far your "avatar" would move. First one to the finish line won! Sitting down at seat #4 she practiced with her ball, getting the feel for it. The attendant said "stop rolling, when your ball comes back hold it once everyone is ready we will begin." It took only a few moments before everyone was ready, she held her ball in her hand where she wanted it to go when she rolled it. The attendant said "Ready, Set,,,,,GO!" suddenly there was a blast of noise and the balls began to roll. She was rolling as fast as her hands could get ahold of the ball, it was close between her and the Grimm sitting beside her but all of a sudden, a horn blared again. Winner is #4! That was her! She was happy. She went over and chose the adorable flitterrat! It was so cute and it twitched it's nose at her.
Wynter Isizini--W ynter was running late, the work at the shop was overflowing and she knew her sister would be mad but it could not be helped. One of the customers demanded that his parts be made so his order can be finished. He had important business to attend and he needed his carriage.
Trying to get her mind off work she wandered over to a table and saw a beautiful snowglobe. That would make a nice little addition to her sister's collection in her office so she asked how to obtain one and was told all she had to do was ask. Grinning she carefully picked it up and the attendant told her at the gates were stockings she was able to get one free of charge it will hold her items from the festival. Thanking her, she turned to walk over to get one.
Croi Alainn--Croi entered the festival and was handed a beautiful stocking by a festive dressed Elf. Smiling she nodded her head in thanks and began to roam about, suddenly in front of her stood a Goblin who handed her a bag of sweets! before scurrying off to gift another festival goer!
Took Su and Wynter's for the daily point count, added in post above.
[Rolls as follows: Kasseri, Tinúviel, Sylkie Von, Habushu, Georgette, Vígdís. Georgette will be point total.]
Kasseri: Kass moved away from the plushies and continued her journey around the tables. This would be her last go through before she left. She grinned as she spotted some suckers sitting on display. That looked like a tasty treat! She grabbed up a green one after looking back and forth between it and the red one for a minute. She promptly put the sucker in her mouth and walked out the door to the hall.
trinket
Tinú: Tinú moved over to a table with some cute necklaces, careful not to touch any besides the blue one that he wanted (his hands were still sticky.). He tucked it in his stocking and wandered away to look for a bathroom to wash his hands at.
trinket
Sylkie: Sylkie grabbed back onto Habu’s hand as soon as possible. “I think we’ve had enough excitement tonight, don’t you?” She started heading towards the door, stopping one moment so they could each pick one or two more things out before leaving. Sylkie picked up a pot with a cute lights design and a small plant, then she grabbed a Jackalope plush.
trinket+plushie
Habushu: Habu followed behind Sylkie once again, careful side eye on the cockatriel on her shoulder. He stopped to grab one last book while she picked up a plushie and then they headed out the door.
trinket
Georgette: Georgette continued to look around for someone to play snowball fight with as he browsed the tables, stopping at a display of candyflosses so he could grab a spearmint flavored one.
trinket
Vígdís: Vígdís crawled around in her undertable way, stopping at one to grab a pair of jingle things. They turned out to be a pair of earrings. Interesting.
Lilly snatched up another bracelet from the table as she finally got to her friend. ”Birkita!” she called out in a voice a bit higher than a whisper. She was louder with those she knew, after all. Grinning, she hopped into the others view, hands holding the stocking behind her back, grinning at the girl with the jellyfish on her head.
Peeking down at the other’s stocking, her eyes widened. It seemed to bulge. With… corners? Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. ”You haven’t finished the books you do have,” she told her accusingly before grinning. Her friend was so weird. She thrusted her own collection forward, the stocking bulging from the snowglobes. ”I have three snowglobes, a necklace, and three bracelets!” she hooted proudly.
Birkita snatched another book from the table; The Little Voidmaiden. Interesting. Perhaps she could sneak out and get to the dorm room, have some peace and quiet while her dormmate was out having a blast.
Of course, wishful thinking had a way of letting her down. Shoulders slumping as the familiar loud whisper reached her ear, she slowly turned around. Lilly. She had found her. Great. ”This will keep me busy,” she told Lilly quietly, eyes narrowing as she glanced at the other girl’s stockings. Snowglobes. How long were those going to last? Knowing how clumsy and irresponsible Lilly was, they wouldn't survive the week. She would be surprise if they did.
14, 6,13,2 " and truthfully about ten minutes of that was actually festival going, Salem decided it would be an awesome thing to release my son into the festival wilds so to speak so I was trying to wrestle control back and search for him. I don't mind him doing his own thing I just like to know generally where he is" Samhain sighed. "well I guess that is one perk of not being wholey put together, I always have Salem with me although that tends to get me weird looks. Still I am glad I could rescue you from your boredom, while I add to my ever growing pile of plushies." Of course that was about the time some one walked by and handed him a glory necklace thing ---------------------------- Leto raised his eyebrow even higher if that was at all possible. Was Vega messing up the letters somehow. However the blush Kirin's face indicated Leto had pieced together the sentence correctly. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about that. It was normal to say your friend had a hot voice right? " .....hot" was the word that escaped. " ah right." And with that he did the only logical thing and took another sip of his hot chocolate. It was about then that some one shoved a plushie at him before darting into the crowd. Well at least it wasn't thrown at his head this time. ------------------------------- " yep to mommy and daddy's at least. I don't think dad's condo would be big enough" Jin answered softly and then her eyes got really big as sphinx looked like she was going cry. Ah no crying. Siblings weren't allowed to cry. "You just haven't run into them yet. You'll get one. Everyone gets a familiar at the festivals so......" Jin tried to placate. Her voice was starting to pitch sadly as well. However this just earned her a lick from her new familiar who lightly head butted her. It then plopped a rather wet plushie at her feet. ------------------- " ah whoops sorry if my talking to myself disturbed you. I just seem to be getting handed plushies left and right so far. However I do agree all the plushies are super cute so I don't mind at all" Oran replied with a smile. " of course plushies aren't the only cute thing to get either. I just... was just about to try to get some of the other things" And if as the universe was listening to her, her new nezubat totally flew back and deposited its spoils of the last ten minutes. " I am afraid to know where he got this"
Sisal was bundled up like a marshmallow. He had a bit of a problem with the cold; mainly, he got sick way to easily and his type of species weren’t very durable in the cold as it was. But, despite the flurries and the chill in the air, stepping into the building where the Winter Solstice festival was currently on-going had been completely worth it. His eyes shined bright, almost feverishly bright.
He had, of course, been to the previous festivals. But each one seemed better than the last and his memory of the festivals never lived up to the real thing. A snake like creature was charging towards him, he noticed. Holding… a stocking? His eyes squinted. No, not at him… at the exit. But… the familiar obviously was too ladened down with the stocking that he had missed his exit and crashed straight into Sisal.
Quickly, Sisal caught the creature. ”Are you alright?” he asked in a hushed voice, cradling the creature, one hand clutched at the red and green joy stocking. It opened slightly, revealing a cookie in the shape of a chalice. Obviously, the little guy had been making off with the cookie.
Grinning, he crumbled off a piece and held it up to the Croatl. The familiar’s eyes brightened and snatched at the cookie, munching away, before nuzzling against him. Sisal let out a laugh. ”Come on, let’s go enjoy the festivities. For now, why don’t I call you Agave? At least for tonight?” he murmured, receiving another nuzzle.
Bowie Well... That was just... He sighed and shrugged. Well, always a chance to make a new friend. He started walking through the outskirts of the dance where a lot of people seemed to have congregated, and he was about to try to engage in conversation when a strange ball of fluff ran past him. He blinked and looked around, only to see the fluff turn and run back to him, then seemed to hide behind him. Was that... a cookie in it's mouth? "Steal that, did you?" Bowie asked the fennikit. Huh. It looked like this little guy was wearing a necklace. "I wonder if you'll get along with David..."
Miu The grimm sighed and looked at the goblin before excusing herself. She wouldn't keep bothering the poor girl if she REALLY didn't want to talk. That was a shame though.
Sphinx "Really?" The tears stopped instantly. "I can't wait to find a familiar of my own. Hey Jin, what are you going to name it? Can I pet it?" She asked, the tears already forgotten. "Hmmm... Yeah, I agree that there will be more space with mommy and daddy. Well, maybe not. There are a lot of us living there. But I don't think it will be happy at dad's place..." She agreed. "Hmmm... Jin? Where do you think all these plushies keep coming from?"
Vega "I'm sorry, I know that was weird..." He mumbled, forgetting that Leto couldn't hear him. He sighed and hazarded a look to Leto, just in time to see him handed a plushie. The same happened to him, and another plushie was placed in his arms. He stared at it, before looking up at Leto with a little smile. He made the plushie raise it's arms and gave Leto's plushie a hug.
Asher With his drink finished, Asher was wondering what else to do. He was sitting there, pondering, when someone handed him a book. The little void maiden? Ah, he remembered this book. He and Kae read it together as freshlings. Oh, that brought back memories. He would have to bring it to her.
Nashira "I'm sure your son is having a good time." She thought for a moment. "...his name is Rune, right?" She couldn't remember, honestly. Had she met the kid yet? No? She didn't think so. Sam had only mentioned he was a father... she thought. Samhain's words broke through Nashira's internal questioning when he said that he always had Salem, but it got him strange looks. "...Well, I suppose it would, specially if you were talking to each other out loud." She tried to make a joke.
Nivasi "Oh no, I'm not bothered. I simply thought you were... trying to talk to me." That was probably a foolish thing to assume, seeing how many people were here. "At least you are simply being handed plushies. No one is putting antlers on your head and calling you a cute kid." He smiled and pointed to the fuzzy antlers on his head. He blinked when the bat brought her a pair of bells. "...I would imagine those came from the same place mine did. There are people handing them out by the doors." As he said this, something fuzzy seemed to trip over Nivasi's feet. He looked down at the festive looking Fennikit. "Did you hurt yourself?" He leaned down to pet the poor familiar, then picked it up. "This is my first festival since I was little... I hear there are familiars all over the place."
Kean woke up a couple of hours later, slowly trying to remember what had happened. He had gone back to his dorm room, put his two new familiars down, and then had taken a nap... yep, that's what it felt like. He tried rubbing his eyes a bit to get the sleep out of them. He looked over at the blankets that he had put Flitter and CS on, and they were still sound asleep. He dumped out most of his stocking, but kept his mug and his necklace on, it was still around his neck, he had pretty much forgotten about it, and quickly put his shoes and coat back on before heading back outside. But suddenly, he remembered something! Or someone! Sissy! He thought as he decided to head over to the senior dorm. It was quite a bit away, and by the time he had gotten to her dorm room, he felt like taking another nap.
He banged on her door a bit, before opening it with the key he had been allowed to get, and found his older sister fast asleep in her bed, seemingly still in the clothes she had been wearing yesterday. His sister was somewhat of an artist and a fashion designer, but often let herself stay up too late designing or fixing things up, eventually collapsing into her bed when she was finally too tired. Kean would have been more worried, but his sister seemed to be doing okay, and she spent plenty of time with him without sounding annoyed or tired, so he just figured it was something that happened when you got older.
"Sissy! You got to get up! It's the Winter Solstice Celebration!" He barely waited for her to get up before he went back out to where the celebration was being held. Eventually she came out, though she still looked sleepy, but at least she had put some boots on. Kean quickly ran over to the cookie table and grabbed a cookie he thought she would like. "Here Sissy! You can have this!" He said, after thanking the vendor, and holding it out to her.
Kean's Items:
- it was eaten though, - nicknamed Flitter for now - is a squishy, - eaten by a Nezubat, - currently nicknamed Cookie Stealer, taking a nap - sharing with Lilly and hoarded by Flitter
Talia was starting to get a bit tired as her stocking became heavier and heavier. Looking around she noticed that there were quite a few freshlings around a table, and they seemed to be serving more hot chocolate! She turned to Lailah. "Hey Lailah? How about we go over there? We can sit for a bit and drink some cocoa!" She said, starting to make her way over there. Once they finally made it, Talia set her stuff down, her two fennekits content to go under the table and nap for a bit. Talia was glad she got them, they were so fluffy and nice! She asked for a refill in her mug, and thanked the teacher who was giving them out, before looking around the table. There were quite a few fleshlings here, though luckily none she recognized, which meant her bullies weren't around. She spotted a pretty blue one, and before she could stop herself, she said, "Wow, so pretty!"
Talia's Stuff:
- doesn't have a name yet
Lailah looked at where Talia had mentioned the hot cocoa, and Lailah thought it would be a good idea to go over there, and said yes to following Talia. However, before she got over there, she passed the plush table again, wondering if she should take one. On impulse, she decided to take a blue vespercat plush, thanking the vendor once again, and while passing the trinket table, she grabbed a mug to be able to fill with cocoa, quietly thanking the vendor for it.
She eventually made it over to the table, and sat next to Talia who had cleared a space for her. "Thanks Talia." She said, setting her stuff down and petting her jackalope as it decided to take a nap in her stocking. Then Lailah asked for some cocoa, and was happy to wait for it to cool off a bit. She was surprised by what Talia said, and looked at where Talia was. It was another freshling, this one blue with blue wings. "Yes, she does look very pretty Talia." Lailah said, her voice trailing off as she was distracted by her hot cocoa.
Lailah's items
- it was eaten
Lady Angel Heart
Kind of a weird order, but now Talia and Lailah have addressed Winter if you want to put that in your next post!
Qilanna was sleeping so soundly, she didn't even notice the banging and loud talking from outside the hallway. It wasn't until she felt a tug on her shirt that she finally started to wake up. She had gone to sleep only a few hours before, having had to work on both a painting and the design for an outfit that she had to submit to her club pretty soon, and she had wanted to finish both of them. Unfortunately she had eventually just fallen asleep on her bed, which was why her sketchpad was under her stomach on her bed when she finally woke up, wiping the drool away from her mouth. She tried to remember what day it was, but through the muddled speech that she had heard while she was asleep, it seemed to be something about a solstice?
Oh... right. The Celebration. She thought as she sat up in bed and stretched a bit, trying to find where she had put some clean clothing. At this point she figured that it was her little brother, Kean, who had been trying to wake her up. Most of her friends knew to not try to wake her up, but she allowed her brother to do so. After all, she loved him and couldn't get too mad at him. He was a nice little demon, even if that meant that he was still a bit of a crazy kid. She figured he was trying to get her out the door, and so she decided she would go out and wander around with him. Looking at the time though, he had probably already been out quite a bit, and hyped up on sugar or something.
She sighed, and found some comfortable clothing to go out in. When it came to herself, she wasn't very fashionable. She designed fashionable outfits sure, but she mostly just wore whatever was comfortable. She managed to make it outside, and saw her brother waiting for her after grabbing a stocking. She had barely gotten over to him, when he ran over to a table that had cookies on it, and grabbed one for her, asking and thanking the vendor for it, before taking it back over to her and holding it out to her. She smiled, glad that her brother was so thoughtful, though she knew he was going to be dragging her all over the place after this. "Thanks Kean, I could use some food." And grabbed it. Even though cookies weren't too nutritious, at least it was somewhat of an energy boost. She quickly took a bite, 'mmed' a bit as she ate it, but before she could take another one, a vespercat suddenly flew out from the side and grabbed the rest of it, and eating it. It took a moment for Qilanna to figure out what had happened, and Kean looked a bit upset. But she just sighed. "Well, thanks for trying Kean. I'm sure I'll find something else to eat though." She said, trying to calm him down, before looking over at the vespercat that was now cleaning itself. She bent down and scooped it out, the vespercat giving no protest to what was going on. "Someone seems to be hungry. Though it's not nice to take other's things." She said, scratching it under the chin. The vespercat didn't seem to notice the scolding, and only purred at the attention it was getting. It then draped itself around her neck and Qilanna sighed. Clearly this vespercat had a mind of it's own. She looked at her little brother, giving him a smile. "Well Kean, where do you want to go?"
So Luma may have gotten herself into a situation. She decided to try her luck at one of the prize booths and she won. Luma stared looking down at her new prize, a bag of seasonal peppermints with a matching, flitterrat. Bet you totally saw that one coming huh? The women forgot to mention what came with the bag of candy. She wondered to herself if they were as overstocked with pets this year as they were with plushes or if the flitterats just liked all the left over treats. She didnt mind, she had wanted some more pets for awhile now. Her parents aren't flitterat fans sadly. She paused to think of her whisker nosed friend at home. Numa is going to be so jealous.
Cecelia looked at a flyer posted on a nearby piller. It seems as though there would be a late night Solstice Dance for the older nightmares. She rolled her eyes remembering what her mother had said about the Solstice being romantic. No way anyone would ever meet there soulmate in this place.
Winter stared at the other freshlings that sat around her at the picnick tables. She didn't talk to the other kids often. She wondered what they were thinking, she probably should ask, but she didn't wanna bother anyone. Having started on her second mug of hot chocolate, she turned her attention back to fishing out a marshmallow for fluffbug Blue.
SSBrosB
would your kids like some cocoa at the freshling cocoa stand?
Dont enter Red was enjoying her new little friend. She decided to name her melody. Melody was so haply she started singing. With att that singing another little one started to sing. Red jumped when she heard it. She looked at the little festive flitterat and smiled she decided to put the familiar in her other pocket
Yaruka decided to sit down for a while and rest her feet, the plushie on her back surprisingly heavy. Relaxing with a sigh, she pulled out the Little Void Maiden and decided to read it a little while she rested. She was just starting to read when she heard some jingling headed her way, looking up just in time to see a freshling skip along and drop a little nezubat plushie that had some jingle bell earrings on its wings in her lap. That was....unexpected but cute as heck.
Danielle was getting chilled so it was time for a nice hot drink. When she went to the vender there was only one drink on her mind that was perfect for the weather and holiday; bring on the hot cocoa! Double marshmallows, please.
Guzma was pondering over his new little plant pal, wondering where he could even begin to put it in his apartment. Did he have a window that got enough light? There had to be at least one. While he was thinking on where he could put the thing a junior came up to him and placed a book on his lap and a little fox plushie on top of it. "Here's a friend to read a story with." was all they said before they wandered off. Guzma just blinked a little before he looked down at what he was given. The plushie was cute and derpy....and the story was a classic! He hadn't read this since he was a kid.
Mariana watched as Tarja fed the tail- er, Tarunen- and was fascinated by the strange sort of relationship that they seemed to have. She would have to ask more later....for now it was rude for her to be staring. She smiled at Tarja and ate some of her own brittle as well. "So, its like you were born with your own best friend?" Tarja looked up in thought and nodded her head after a moment. "Pretty much. Taru knows me best and I know Taru best...but we like talking to other people, too." Mariana walked with Tarja over to someone giving out cocoa, getting a mug for each of them. "Can Tarunen talk, too?" She had to ask since she hadn't heard the tail actually speak yet.
"Oh....no, Taru doesn't actually say words. He makes sounds sometimes but I usually know what he's trying to say or is thinking. We can understand each other without him needing to talk. It's hard to explain...and I don't really know how it works but it's just how it's always been." Tarja shrugged a bit and felt stupid for not knowing more...but Mariana just smiled and handed her a mug of delicious-looking cocoa. "It sounds pretty interesting, actually." Tarja looked surprised and smiled a bit. "R-really?" Mariana smiled and nodded, which made the little shade feel...less nervous.
Anaiise was bundled up in a warm coat and hand-knit scarf, adjusting her glasses as she stepped in to the festival and smiling at the fanfair. It was so beautiful and it looked like everyone was having so much fun! Oh, she wanted to do something like this on a smaller scale back home for everyone....another big idea she had to really think about before she attempted it, of course, but still! She was handed a cute stocking and a snowglobe with the Academy inside once she entered, giggling to herself as she shook it up to make the little snow storm inside. She loved these things. She stowed it carefully in the stocking and looked up as she was approached by a pretty goblin with a flower crown and robes on. The goblin looked at the bakeneko and smiled after a moment, handing her a beautifully decorated cookie. "May Eleusinia bless you and give you gentle guidance. You are worthy of the honor you carry." Anaiise blinked in surprise, wondering just what he was talking about before she smiled. "Well...thank you kindly." The goblin smiled and bowed his head to her, then went on his way. Huh...she wondered what he meant. She was about to ponder it when something caught her eye..someone she recognized....was that Sisal? It was! Anaiise smiled brightly as she saw a familiar face and made her way over to him, seeing him care for a cute coatl. Yep, that was the dryad she remembered. "Sisal! I'm glad to see you here! I didn't think I was gonna see anyone from home already." She would have gone on but she felt something tugging at the cookie in her hand. Anaiise looked down and saw a jackalope that was fluttering near her hand, one end of the cookie in its mouth as it was trying to be sneaky and take it without her noticing. "Well now, aren't you a cheeky little thing!" She laughed and broke off the end it had grabbed, watching as it happily nibbled the shared treat.

While the winged hybrid turned to do as her mother suggested, the cream coloured animal kept after her even going so far as to lurk about her and growl at anyone that got too close. As she spoke with the woman about her new friend after selecting a book to take home with her, the naiad turned her attention elsewhere. She once more watched as Ashford popped up again, this time shoving peppermint bark into his mouth with chocolate covered fingers. Veles, along with the fox that had stolen his cookie earlier, had picked out a bucket of enchanted cotton balls and was currently looking for his first victim.
Elirian popped up once again, grabbing her mother's hand to lead her over to a table where she asked for her help picking a new plushie and set of antlers. Syblia stepped up with them, holding out their cloud of fluffy blue candy in offering. With a chuckle, she took a bite as she let two of her children lead her to a table and pick a snow globe.
