As Luma rose to continue her exploration of the festival she noticed the young freshling from before now escorted by a spectrefox who seemed to have a plushie riding on its back. She tilted her head. She was happy for the child no doubt but my goodness all the weird things happening tonight could make someones head spin.
It was awhile before someone else came get a book. Cecelia would've left a long time ago but be it her proper nature or all the children staring at her, she stayed and continued reading until a replacement came. If nothing else she got to read the book finally. It was almost amusing to hear the children's reactions to the story. When finally relieved she walked away with her prize in hand. As she was walking away she smiled to herself, she could hear some of the freshlings asking the Librarian for a copy of the book. They wanted to know what happened next.
Winter wandered around the fair grounds with Blue the fluffbug on her head and her new doggy friend at her side. This doggy was a spectrefox but since young winter had not taking any familiar courses yet, to her it was a doggy. It seemed to have bonded to Winter and had now taking it upon itself to make sure she stayed out of trouble. All the vendors were very nice to freshlings, giving away free treats and trinkets since the young ones had no coin to spare. Winter looked down at her kitty plush, it was old and worn but her (parent/parents) had given it to her so she never put it down. Since plushies were overstocked this year pretty much every booth had some as prizes. She saw a bunch of vespercat plushes and thought they looked a lot like the lady from earlier, always frowning. Winter went from booth to booth peeking over the counter until she found one that looked fun. Little did winter know she had stumbled upon a con, one of those rigged games noone can win. And so the game went, 1 ball 3 cups, ball goes under the cups, you mix em up, and guess where the ball is. Winter was about to guess a cup went the spectrefox jumped over the counter and pulled on the man's sleeve. Out rolled the ball. The man huffed, busted. "Alright kid I guess you get a prize". The man didnt have a bunch of trinkets and plushes like the other booths, seemed he hadnt expected anyone to win. From a bag behind him he pulled out a blue jackalope plush, much like the cat plush Winter carried. "Limited edition kid, congrats". After handing Winter the plush he quickly packed up his stand and fled.
Kean was starting to get a bit thirsty, what with all of the walking around and eating a cookie and other sorts of candy, and so this time he decided to get a mug of hot cocoa and sit somewhere where he could enjoy it. He had a bit of a time trying to balance the mug and his stocking, but he somehow made it over to a bench that he managed to climb on by putting the hot cocoa down first. Kean warned CS not to drink it, before he put the stocking on the bench and then hauled himself onto it. At least that part wasn't too hard, but he did suddenly feel how tired he was. Perhaps after drinking this he would go back to his dorm room and drop some of the stuff in his stocking off. It was getting really hard to haul around and it was so heavy! He needed to stop taking things! It was nice to be able to get something, but so many things for a little freshling, even he had to admit was too much! He couldn't carry all of it!

Talia was quite amazed at the speed at which Lailah put the jackalope into her stocking. Or at least mostly. It seemed that most of the jackalope was still sticking out. She blinked a couple of times, surprised that the other girl was being so nice to her. "Uh... I'm Talia! It's nice to meet you Lailah! And you're welcome!" She had to remember her manners after all! However, it seemed that she was being beckoned over to the table where they had the familiars. Talia was apparently allowed to choose one again! She looked at her fennekit though, who was currently cleaning itself a bit, and wondered if she should get a friend for it. She asked her current... friend if it would be a good idea. Lailah shrugged, but suggested that the fennekit could use some company. And so Talia decided to take the other colored fennekit to give her current green and yellow one a friend! That way if Talia wasn't there to play with them, they at least had each other! The fennekits seemed to squeak in delight and quickly brushed against each other. Talia smiled. "Thanks so much Lailah." She said, before realizing that Lailah was being called to a different table, and Talia followed the fallen.

Lailah looked like she was spacing out a bit, even after the geist introduced herself to Lailah. At least Lailah caught the other's name. "Talia... that's a nice name." She replied, almost a bit dreamy. Lailah seemed to be in her own little world most of the time, and it certainly wasn't stopping during the celebration! However, when Talia went to one of the vendors, Lailah slowly followed, mostly just wanting to see what was going on with the other. It seemed that Talia was being allowed to choose another familiar, but seemed hesitant in doing so, and asked for Lailah's opinion. Lailah shrugged and said, "Perhaps your fennekit would be happy with another?" After all, it could get lonely, and if Talia had chosen a fennekit before, another one could be a good idea. On her part, the jackalope that had been hanging mostly out of the stocking had hoped out, but decided to stay hear Lailah, as it had deemed that she might be a good food source and hadn't hurt it yet. Staying with a nightmare such as this should be okay, right?
That is when Lailah was beckoned over to the plushie table once again, Talia following behind her. She made it over to the plush table and was once again allowed to choose one. There weren't really any pink ones, which made Lailah slightly sad, but instead she decided on the next best color next to pink, purple. This time she chose the purple vespercat plush. She had decided that she could go with a plush that had it's eyes closed, and another one with it's eyes open. For a moment she thought about going over to the trinket table, but declined, deciding that she had plenty of items already.
Karayas--Running herself dizzy, her ears jingling Karayas was laughing so hard she was crying. Good happy tears, she was having so much fun she did not want this day to end. Looking over she saw one of the aides watching her with a twinkle in their eye, nodding at her they watched her being silly. The aide started to walk behind her, Karayas knew it was to keep her safe so she slowed down and walked over to a trinket table, where she was given one. She was handed a beautiful blue bracelet to go with her ears!

Kalek--Laughing as he ran to catch his new familiar the sights became a blur as he ran by them. The familiar was fast but it kept looking over its shouldrer to see if Kalek was there. Each time it slowed just a bit to allow him to catch up then it put on a small burst of speed and was gone again. As he ran by a table, he saw the cotton balls that were enchanted to make cold. He stopped and went back to ask for one, was given the trinket and he ran off tossing them at his familiar and laughing as he went.
SnowLily--Placing her new plushie in her stocking, SnowLily looked over at Dayanara as asked if they could get something to drink. She was thirsty. Dayanara told her to wait one second while she went to ask her Mother and they walked towards Kayndie who was only a few steps behind them, as they walked SnowLily noticed a game and told Dayanara she would be right here waiting for her to come back. SnowLily giggled at the game, it was easy. Pin the tail on the familiar! She loved playing this, her turn was next. She was blindfolded, given the tail then spun 5 times to make her good and dizzy. Laughing she knew she was always clumsy this wouldn't help. She walked, and fell towards the board and managed to get it a little off the back of the paper familiar. WINNER! Taking off her blindfold she was told she could choose a familiar. Walking over she saw a cute Pumpae and reached out to pick it up.
Dayanara--SnowLily asked before she could if they could get something to drink. She was getting hungry to, so she turned to walk back towards her Mother as SnowLily went to the booth right next to them to play a game. She asked her Mother if they could get something to drink and eat and she agreed after SnowLily was done playing her game and her brother caught up to them. He was on the ground acting like a fool laughing and rolling around, so Dayanara called his name and waved him over. (no prize taken)
Dayeon--On the ground laughing til his sides hurt, he was having fun. His Mother laughed at him but did not reprimand him for getting dirty. He had after all ran into her and fell so it was her fault. His sister called to him so he got up and started to walk over but he tripped again, this time over a familiar! It seemed to stare at him, so he reached out and pet it on it's head and it followed him.
Pippi--Her Mother and Aunt was swinging her through the air as they walked as if she was on a swing. She was loving it, giggling and asking for one more swing. They complied with her and kept swinging her as they walked. Her Mother asked what she wanted to do and she said "Swing" but just then a Kirin walked over to them and asked her if she would like a plushie and gave her one.
Milseain--Unsure of what to do she began to walk around and saw a large table with plushies on it. There was an adult Demon who sat in a chair who looked at her and smiled. "Little one, you play a game and you win a plush, the game is easy want to try?" Milseain nodded shyly. She was given one dart and told to toss it at the board, she tossed it and it hit a small red square. "You win, choose a plush!" she looked at them and asked in a soft voice if she could have a Kidden plush. "Yes you may" and handed her the pretty blue one. "Thank you" and she put it gently in her stocking and turned to head off into the festival.

Kayndie--Kayndie was just about to answer Dayanara when she saw Dayeon trip over a familiar, she ran over to help him up and she trips over one! She looks down and a cute familiar is huddled at her feet scared. Bending down and cooing, she soothed the pretty as best she could before picking it up. Reaching Dayeon she made sure he was okay and then turned to go back to Dayanara to finish talking to her about drinks and food when SnowLily walked over. Dayeon was right behind her so they decided to go get some hot chocolate and snacks.
Callie Mae--Callie Mae was "swinging" Pippi through the air with her sister Cyndal. Pippi was shrieking and laughing having fun, intending to keep her happy they walked and kept "swinging" Pippi as she went.

Cyndal--Cyndal was all to happy to keep "swinging" her niece Pippi. What a adorable little girl. She was slowly coming out of her shell, it was nice to see her smile and laugh. Cyndal was having fun and for once it was not forced or faked.
Yaruka hadn't counted on the candyfloss being so colorful; her fingers were turning purple, which was kind of hilarious. She was sucking on her fingers to get the sticky sweet color off of them when someone came over and shoved a rather large kidden plushie in her arms. "HAPPY SOLSTICE! I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS! AHAHAHAHAHA!" Well.....SOMEONE had the holiday spirit. She looked at the blepping plushie and couldn't help but giggle. It also had a little bracelet on its arm.
Danielle was unable to really deny that she was curious about the book. Maybe she'd read it later....once she was alone. She slid it back into her stocking and glanced up at the direction of her nezubat companion. "Let's keep this between us, shall we?" It chittered in response and she just nodded a little, not wanting to shake the little critter around. As she was looking around for where to go she was also attacked by the manic plushie pusher, the laughing person shoving a rather adorable fennekit plushie into her hands with a bundle of candy canes, as well. This festival was getting interesting.
Guzma managed to calm down from his laughter, feeling thirsty and chilled so he went in search for a nice hot drink. Hot spiced cider? Hell yes! He got the drink in a mug and paused to admire the color; it reminded him of a certain hybrid's eyes. It made him smile a bit before he settled down on a bench with his little following around him so he could enjoy the drink.
Mariana pulled out a piece of the peppermint bark and nibbled on it, sharing some of it with the flitterat that was still nestled warmly in her hair. This was nice....such a lovely celebration. She wanted something to remind her of the day besides what she already had. Oh! She spied some snowglobes and happily grabbed one, shaking it gently to see the snow swirling around the scene inside. It was beautiful but.....she suddenly felt lonely. Two nightmares building a snowmare....that looked like fun.
Tarja was encouraged to come to the festival, despite her apprehension. There were going to be so many people there....strangers and loud noises and she didn't know anyone! Tarunen, however, kept trying to insist that it was going to be fun and she shouldn't pass it up. His host was a rather shy little thing and she often needed a little push to do things outside of her comfort zone. The little shade was holding onto her tail as she looked around the pretty yet somehow scary celebration and a sweet demon saw how nervous she looked, feeling bad for her so they handed her a cute little glowing necklace as well as a stocking to keep her trinkets in. "Here, sweetie. A special Solstice light to help you feel better." Tarja blinked and looked up at them, hesitating a moment before she let go of Tarunen and took the necklace. ".....Th-thank you..." She said softly, hanging it arond her neck and admiring the gentle glow. Tarunen nudged at her elbow to get her attention and as she looked at the tail, she saw that a little flitterat was sitting on top of his head. It was....kind of cute, actually. She reached over carefully to scratch a claw carefully behind the little thing's ear and it looked happy, which made her giggle a little. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
Rowena and her new familiar watched everyone enjoy the meal. Then her familiar flew off. Rowena got up to go look for her friend and she found him in a pile of plushies. He was hold on to a squishy one and would let go. The person that had the plush looked at the familiar and laughed. She must really like that one. If you like you can take it. The familiar face shot up from cuddle the plushing and made a cute noise. Rowena thank him and grabbed the plushie with the familiar still attached.
"Ah so it was you that I saw. Hello again Nashira" Samhain replied with a smile. If everything was still a bit salem flavored it was only because his headmate was very much still at the forefront of their shared head space. To his suprise another thing was suddenly handed to him although this time it was a plushie. Huh another bat. "I did in fact just get here. Well relatively, I would say I have been here for half an hour." he answered. ------------------------------------------------ Leto frowned and stared at his friend. his siblings had mentioned that it had dropped or well changed as a voice was wont to do as a nightmare grew older but he didn't think he had ever gotten that reaction before. It made him almost wonder what he sounded like. "hmm I had heard it had changed? Its not bad sounding is it?" He asked hesitantly. It had gotten deeper right? Then again he had heard stories about nightmares who's voices cracked while they changed. Making a note of discontent he grabbed a hot chocolate from a tray nearby. ----------------------------------------------------------- "Hi sphinx... were you talking to me? I got distracted by this giant familiar seeing if it was going to eat me. It didn't so I'm taking it home" was her response as she turned away absent mindedly petting the large animal. "I bet we can get him to read it especially if we give him the really big eyes. no one resists the large eyes... okay except for Mom and Dad but they don't count." of course if she was going to add anything else on to her statement was unknown as some one just walked over and handed her a plant of all things. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Putting her new book aside to try interacting with the festival again she was surprised to suddenly be handed another plushie. You know she didn't quite remember getting this many in previous festivals. Of course the problem was probably that she didnt go to many festivals unfortunately. "Ah well its not like its a big problem. I really do like plushies after all" Oran muttered to no one but herself.
Erwyna smiled as they entered the celebration. Immediately her children went for the table of stockings, snagging one of each of themselves before huddling over the table and hissing at one another over which to bring their mother. In the end, the newest addition to her family won and sauntered up to her with the twin to his own stocking, a rather smug smile slapped across his freckled face. She accepted it with a smile of her own and bent to press a kiss to his cheek before sending him on his way. The elder two of her children split off from the younger ones, and she watched as Syblia began a conversation with the librarian before being handed a book--which they shoved in their stocking immediately. They then moved to a table with giant plushies, standing for a moment before deciding on a purple one. As Wynnie watched them pick it up, she laughed softly at how large the thing was. She could barely see Syb around it.
Her hybrid daughter, however, seemed to be enamored with a selection of bell earrings and spent a good while deciding which to get. Ashford was at the table directly beside Aleanette, picking up and situating a pair of antlers atop his head. His chest puffed out once he had them situated and she chuckled again as he began to strut off into the crowds. Her other son Veles had been offered a cookie and just as he was about to touch it, a caped specter fox snagged it and ran. She watched as he chased after the animal, yelling “Get back here!”
Her youngest daughter, however, seemed to be looking for someone. She stood on her toes, peering through the throngs of people for what seemed like forever before an elder tapped her on the shoulder and offered her a winged jackalope plush which she accepted with grace. The doll cuddled it for a moment longer before she wandered off to another table, happily swiping a snow globe when told she could. As she observed her loves dashing about, she was offered a steaming cup and accepted with a smile.
Lilly couldn’t wait to show her dormmate all that she had gotten. It took quite a bit of dodging around legs, tails, and wings to get towards her. And she was almost there when a random stranger stopped her with a grin and handed her a green and red bracelet, before moving off. Lilly blinked in confusion, looking at the trinket, before raising a hand high in the air.
”Thank you!” she called out in almost a whisper, hugging the pretty bracelet to her chest… and then dropping it into the stocking. She had quite the collection already! Humming excitedly, she continued to where Birkita was.
Birkita was pretty happy with her haul so far. Sure, she wasn’t talking to anyone; but this was fine. She didn’t like talking to people, regardless. She would rather bury her nose in one of her new books… except, she was quite the hoarder when it came to an object she liked.
And so, when wandering around brought her past another table full of different trinkets from the last table, her eyes immediately fell on the stack of books. The Halfling. Hiding a smile behind a hand, she inched closer… and carefully grabbed the top book, slipping it into her bag. Perfect.
Luma reached a dead end. It was a little stage with a chair next to a pile of books. When she approached a chimera was reading to a group of freshlings. If shes not mistaken that was the same girl who had been playing music earlier. She inquired with the Librarian if she needed someone else to read. The Librarian seemed shocked that someone was volunteering to read, instead of asking for one of the books. The night was still young and Luma loved children so she was happy to help. Once the Chimera left, she selected a copy of The Little Void Maiden. It was one of her favorite books growing up. Sitting down on the edge of the stage, closer to the freshlings, Luma began reading.
Having secured the book she wanted, Cecelia could now focus on other things. She decided to back track to that nice jewelry booth and purchase a second bracelet. This time she chose a piece labeled Emerald Pine. It was a very rich green color.
Winter was quite content. Originally she was scared to come to the festival alone but it was fun. She got a plush and new friends and candy. She came across one of the food courts where a nice lady was handing out hot cocoa. Winter sat down at a picnic table with Blue and the spectrefox. There the women gave her a mug of hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows and a candy cane.
Red Hood was late for the party. She’s usually late so she was not surprise.when she arrived she seen a plate full of cookies that looked like the symbol of the gods and goddesses. She grabbed the cookie that symbol the music god. Red found a nice looking set in the corner and sat down to enjoy her cookie. The she heard and before humming noise she looked around and seen nothing. Then she looke down and she seen a cute like familiar. Red looked at her cookie and then the familiar. It looked like the little one was singing for the cookie. Red took of piece of cookie and gave it to the familiar. It jumped up and and down in joy. Then the familiar run up Red leg and cuddled her neck. The familiar run in to Red hoodie pocket and made it safe comfortable.
Bowie Bowie looked around, and really he couldn't even see Reed (Or David) anywhere. Well, he was sure the large familiar would be alright. And Reed was a smart kid. He smiled a little. "Boy, what am I even getting myself into with a cuttie like that?" Bowie sighed to himself. He ignored the trinkets as he walked around to see if he could find Reed... or anyone he knew.

Miu The Goblin really seemed to be shy, and wasn't replying to anything at the moment. Miu shrugged and started dancing in place. She didn't have time (or the arm space right now) to hold any more goodies.
Sphinx "You're taking that home? Whoooooa. I hope you'll let me play with it too!" Sphinx asked excitedly. "Man, I want a familiar. Do you think they don't like me, Jin?" She asked her sister, eyes wide and round, looking like she might cry (even if they were crocodile tears).
Vega Vega shook his head. No, it really wasn't bad sounding at all. "I-t-s a-c-t-u-a-l-l-y r-e-a-l-l-y h-o-t." He realized what he signed as soon as he finished the last word. Oh god. He just admitted that Leto sounded hot. Leto WAS hot. Damn it, this could be really bad. He floundered a little, his hands trembling slightly now. "Y-o-u s-h-o-u-l-d-n-t w-o-r-r-y s-o m-u-c-h. E-v-e-n i-f i-t w-a-s w-e-i-r-d I w-o-u-l-d s-t-i-l-l l-i-k-e y-o-u." Wait. Wait could that be taken in the wrong way? He just said he liked Leto. Well, he did like Leto. But he didn't tell Leto that he LIKED liked him... right? Oh this was too much.

Asher Finding a spot near a wall, Asher sat down and sipped from his mug. The liquid had cooled off quite a bit by now, but it was still delicious. He wondered if there really could be anything else here to do.
Nashira "Half an hour? Then I guess I cannot blame you for not finding me earlier. It's quite uncomfortable being here by myself. And I was honestly wondering if you or bebe or anyone I knew would show up." Well, anyone but Charon, that was. The imp was nice and all, but he was pretty weird. She looked at the bat Sam had gotten, and gave a crooked half smile. "There are an abundance of plushies again."
Nivasi "What isn't a big problem?" Nivasi looked up at the baphomet girl beside him. She was holding a plushie, apparently one she was just handed. "There really are a lot of cute trinkets around here." He spoke softly.

Kean felt himself almost falling asleep on the bench, CS having curled up back into his hair again, and Flitter taking a nap in his stocking. He also debated whether or not he should go and get another item from the trinket table. But he was just so tired! He felt like he couldn't even walk over there let alone take something! He really needed a nap! And with that decided, he decided that he would go back up to his dorm room for a quick nap and to drop off the two familiars, hoping they wouldn't cause too much trouble. Luckily the hot cocoa was already gone, and Kean decided he would keep the mug. But he made himself get off the bench, stuck the mug inside of his stocking, and made his way back to his dorm room.
After what seemed like forever, he finally got back, opened the door, allowed Flitter out of the stocking and put it on a blanket, doing the same for CS, and finally fell asleep on his own bed, curled up under the blankets. The celebration would still be going on when he woke up, right?

Though, Lailah didn't seem to mind about anything... it was slightly unnerving, and perhaps later when Lailah had grown up a bit more she wouldn't like to be talking to a geist like Talia, but so far, she was at least someone nicer to talk to!
