Citali sighed as she continued looking around the room. This would be more fun if I was capable of actually making friends. The goblin kept to herself most of the time, enjoying more of keeping to her books and studies then actually interacting with other students. She'd tried before, but, in her opinion, things didn't work so well, especially once she started developing a crush on them, and so she distanced herself from them. She was just destined to be alone it seemed.
Looking at one of the tables, a snowglobe caught her attention. "Ooh, that's a cute snowglobe, it would look pretty on my desk, I may have to move some books around, but I'm sure I could make it work!" So she grabbed the snowglobe and stuffed it in her stocking. Is it wrong that all I want for the holiday season, is for someone to notice me? Citali thought as she continued browsing the various goodies everyone had to offer.
Jin sighed and looked at Leto. He didn't look like he was doing to well, and he kept flinching when he accidentally bumped into things. She knew sphinx was starting to feel down even when Leto munched quietly on the offered candy. Jin decided this was enough, they neeed to totally bring out the big guns and so she would just have to find Vega. The universe and the nine were nice enough that Vega had to be here so she would find him. Of course she got a bit distracted when sphinx was handed a plushie. ---------------------------------- Melusine tucked the cute plushie away in her sachel and started walking down the halls. There were a lot of interesting things but she wasn't too sure anything called to her. Well that was until she came to a book stand. Huh free books. Well she could definitely get on top of that. She picked one up, gave a closed mouth smile to the person manning the stall and continued her walk through the festival, careful to dodge one of those cotton snowballs. -------------------------- Oran, now a plushie later had finally decided to start moving towards the crowd. After all she had a phone for when her family showed up. Maybe she would run into a friend? However last few festivals hadn't really been productive towards that so she didn't terribly think it would happen this time. Of course maybe she should have specified friend. A waiter of sorts walked by and offered her a plate of cookies. Cookies that were rather familiar shaped. Oran kept her face neutral and picked one up only offering a smile as she walked away. Ah they were baked in the symbol of the nine, guess it wouldn't hurt to eat it. Of course when she did try to nibble on the cookie a familiar swooped down and ran off with it. ------------ Huginn ------------ Leto tried giving a smile to sphinx and was going to reach for a candy when suddenly there was a sharp ringing noise in his ear. His free hand latched up to cradle the ear and while he was recovering the moment was lost and sphinx was being handed a plushie. Ah well at least she was getting a multitude of stuff or at least starting to. Really he needed to find a way to get them to run off and have fun. ------------- Gavriel
Bowie Bowie smiled as he was alone once again. He really did enjoy the festival. Meeting new people, and even just encounters with strangers were pleasant. He retreated a moment to get a drink, when he thought he spotted someone familiar.
Miu One of the best things about the solstice was the abundance of candy. She was still trying to calm the cockatriel when someone handed her a bag of peppermint candies. The familiar stopped shrieking at her. Slowly, Miu pulled a candy out. It had broken in half, so she offered half to the little familiar, and ate the other half herself. That did the trick in calming the familiar down.

Zaye She still hadn't danced with anyone, and no one even complimented her appearance today. How rude! She must have had a rather sour expression on her face because someone gently pushed a jelly plush into her hands. She blinked in surprise and stared at it, then smiled softly.
Sphinx Though she'd never say it out loud, all Sphinx really wanted for the holiday season was for her family to be happy, and Leto was clearly not happy. Her ears turned down a little and she started munching on some candy. As she thought about how else to cheer up Leto, someone set a plushie down at her feet and ran. She looked at the plushie and gave a soft squeal of delight. "Eeeeee!" And promptly her arms were around it as she hugged the plush. This was so cute!

Vega After resting for a moment, Vega was determined to find something for Leto. Something to at least say 'I'm thinking about you.' ...Which Vega was. Often. He sighed and passed a table with some other bracelets. He looked at the one he had on, then looked at one with cute little snowflakes. He could imagine Leto laughing at this a little. And the dark color seemed like something he would like. Vega carefully picked it up and smiled. Yes, this would be a great gift for Leto.
Asher The longer he was here, the more he thought Kae would have loved to be here. He was sure she would have been inspired by this. Ok, he would have to tell her all about the festival, which means he needed to go socialize more! He walked over to the nearest person to start chatting, but they simply handed him a lollipop and walked off. ... Ok. Candy first, then socializing.
Meadow Yup. This really was the best time of year. First the Haunted Hallows, then the Winter Solstice... Candy was everywhere. Meadow figured all he had to do was look completely adorable, and people would just give him candy. He smiled at people, and sure enough, he was given some candy floss.
Avalon Avalon laughed. "I do like them." He laughed as Ten handed him a large plushie, then took one for himself. "Oh sweetie..." He leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Thank you." He gently touched Ten's face, which made the fallen blush and look away. While he was distracted for a second, Avalon grabbed a couple bags with candy floss. As Ten looked back at him, Avalon held one out to him. "Sweets for my sweet?"
Ten "Oh the Nine, you are such a dork." Ten couldn't help but laugh when Avalon said that and held some candy out to him. "I thought I was supposed to spoil you." Avalon just smiled and shrugged as Ten took the candy from him.
Nashira Ok, maybe things would be better if she started dancing. After all, she did like to dance. Making sure she could still keep an eye on her new familiar, Nashira headed to the dance floor. She was a little awkward at first, trying not to bump into anyone else, and trying to avoid the couples so she didn't look stupid dancing alone. Well, not like that helped any. Someone gave her a bag of pity candy.
Nivasi This was his first festival in a long time. He hadn't had time for them since he was a child. It was sort of overwhelming, seeing all the people together. The mutated nixie looked around, trying not to seem lost ,and trying even harder not to get stepped on. He walked over to a crowd of freshlings and juniors who were playing with some plush things. As he approached, one of them handed him a cute little stuffed bat.
Reed - 15 Reed walked into the hall, he took a quick glance around, ignoring all the tables of trinkets and treats (It was pretty obvious her was looking for Bowie) - Noticing him on the dancefloor he started towards him, not really looking where he was going, he suddenly hit something pretty heavy, stubbing his toe and falling flat onto his face! - that very same something was now sitting on his chest - Reed had the wind knocked out of him and was greeted by a floofy, happy as heck face!
He walked up to Bowie clutching the very big something in his arms - "Hey Bowie I bought you a gift! Say Hello to Zowie!" the Bunyip gave Bowie a very crooked grin and slurped it's tongue across his face. Reed thought it would be the best shop mascot!

Rana - 16 Rana was very nervous about her first event, she was aware of her eyes, and took a moment to compose herself before entering the hall, she was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of Nightmares, daydreams and Ghosts! They were floating everywhere, some were aware of what was going on, but most were oblivious to things around them, it was a little... unsettling.
She walked over to a table covered in stockings, dodging the ghosts as she went (To the nightmares who couldn't seem them it might have looked a little strange) she waited her turn, there was quite a queue forming, but unlike a few of the other freshlings she wasn't one for pushing her way in! When it was her turn, She carefully picked up a pretty pink and purple stocking, and beside it were a few pretty snowglobes! Rana was a big fan of collecting beautiful things and this was most definitely beautiful! She said thank you to the nightmares sitting behind the big table, they smiled and handed her a little plushie - she was taken aback! "For being so polite and waiting so well!" Oh! Rana was chuffed beyond belief!
Alula - 1 Alula had such a great time during the hallowed event she was crazy excited about christmas at the academy! She ran into the hall with her boundless energy and nearly tripped up on her own feet on her way to the table! She grabbed a stocking with Snowflakes on - it would look perfect in her cluttered bedroom!
She spotted a pair of Antlers and spluttered her laughter as she jammed them on her head and did a reindeer dance! (What a reindeer dance entails I couldn't tell you...)
Bailey - 10 Bailey had a very nice experience with the hallowed event, he was happier knowing the christmas event was unlikely to feature many tricks, that was a part he didn't enjoy as much! He looked around the hall and laughed at all the older nightmares dancing and chatting amongst themselves, he loved seeing others happy!
He did a round of the room before narrowing in on the stockings! A freshling cannot resist a good stocking he grabbed a pretty blue one and then noticed a stall of hot chocolate! Mmm... he was a serious chocoholic!
Kean continued to hold all of his things in the stocking, including Flitter, who seemed quite content to stay in the stocking, perhaps realizing that with Kean around it might get a chance at more food. Flitter maneuvered his way downward in the stocking.
Kean on the other hand was running around, trying to see what else he could get, when he saw a giant pile of plushes that they were giving out. He ran up to them, the Vespercat plushes but then he came upon... the jellyfish! With so many arms/tentacles, there was just so much more to play with! Especially considering the fact that he was quite small, and if he did choose one of the bigger plushes, it would be quite hard to carry around. He politely asked the vendor for one of the blue jellyfish plushes, and almost squealed in delight when he got it. So many wiggly tentacles! He quickly stuffed it in his stocking, making sure that Flitter wouldn't be squished, and once again ran over to the trinket table. He was very tempted to get the indoor snowballs, but he knew his parents wouldn't approve, and it would mean carting them around everywhere too. He was practically about to drag the stocking around! Instead he took a bulb necklace, putting it around his neck. At least this one wasn't big, heavy, and would make it even worse for his stocking!

So far, Talia wasn't having as much luck as some of the others, but at least she didn't need to feel bad about not getting anything as she got to pick another trinket. She considered her choices carefully. The reindeer antlers were enticing, but with the bells attached to them, they might become annoying pretty quickly. The candy and such wouldn't last too long, and so she grabbed a book, hoping that it would entertain her for a bit once the event was over.
Tania and Rowena arrived to the festival. So many people where already there. They grabbed the free stocking and started to walk around. Tania noticed a pot with flowers she got so excited and she turned to Rowena and dragged her over to look at them. While Tania was admiring the plants someone came up and offer one to the both of them. The plant that Tania grabbed had a star fall off of it. The person that offered the plant congratulated her and gave her a opinion to grab a plushie. She looked at the plushies and see in giant one. She hurried up and grabbed the giant plushies and shoved it in the stocking with her other one she bought.
One large cone of candyfloss later, the treat hunt was back on. Luma glanced over all the various booths, one of which was selling wrapped peanut brittle and peppermint bark. It looked very yummy and was tied up with pretty bows. She wondered to herself if she could get one for her parents, it wouldn't get her off the hook but its the thought that counts. Luma decided it was worth a shot and picked out a particularly nice bag of peanut brittle. The shimmer of the golden bow ontop made it look extra expensive. Her new rat companion, whom she decided to call Cocoa, seemed to squeak in approval of this choice. Between the plushie and the peanut brittle her hands were getting a little full, hopefully they have bags around here somewhere!

Cecelia walked up and down the rows of vendors, nothing really catching her eye. She didn't care much for sweets or those little antlers everyone seemed to be wearing. She had heard there would be book sales but she had yet to find them. Cecelia had all but given up on finding anything worth while here when she stumbled across a jewelry booth. She recognized the girls running it as former classmates from Grendal, most likely from the fashion department based on their clothing. Looking at the bracelets spread across a silk sheet Cecelia was impressed. The sign before her said "Hand Crafted" but these looked entirely professional made. She selected a light blue bracelet labeled Winter's Crystal and paid the girls with the appropriate coin. Maybe this festival wasn't a total waste of her time....

Kasseri: Kass tucks her plush into her stocking, then reaches out and grabs another one. This time she gets a Jelly instead, placing it in the stocking with the Fennekit plush. She continues to another table a few strides away to get a mug of hot cocoa. Mmm warm chocolate hits the spot for her.

Tinú: From the books table he continued on to grab a bag of peppermint bark, wrapped up nicely with a bow. Then he continued to yet another table, this one covered with some nice looking frosted cookies. He reached out to nab a Chalice shaped one only to be surprised as a Coatl wrapped itself around his arm. “Well hello there! Would you like a piece of cookie, or just a ride?” It stuck it’s tongue out to taste him before sliding up his arm to curl on his shoulder and the back of his neck. Looks like he just gained another familiar.

Sylkie: Sylkie continued on from the snowglobes to a table that had bags of candy. Something sweet was very high in her mind. She wanted to share them with Habushu later in the day.

Habushu: Habushu lost track of where Sylkie had gotten to in the crowd, but he knew he’d find her again soon enough. He spotted a table with lollipops, quickly grabbing one before making his way to the next one. It was full of cookies shaped like the zodiac, only for him to be stopped by a Jackalope. He grins down at it and grabs a cookie shaped like the Wreath, biting into it before offering some to the Jackalope. It nibbles a corner then flitters is wings before hopping onto his foot.

Georgette: Georgette moved on from the necklaces to another table, this one has some pots with sprouting plants in them. He gently pets a leaf, then picks up the blue pot and starts to turn towards another table only to get bumped by a large fuzzy familiar. His eyes widened in surprise as he realized it was a rare Bunyip. He reached forward and gently stroked its fur. “Are you lost? Do you need help?” The Bunyip nudges his hand as if it wants him to pet it more.
Citalishook her head as she wandered from booth to booth. I really should go back to studying. she thought as she continued browsing. Spotting a bracelet, she stopped to take a closer look at it, and then grabbed it. Well, there was nothing wrong with having a bracelet or two.Now she should really get back to studying.
Luma was relieved when she discovered a vendor giving away free stockings. This would make the perfect place to store all her trinkets. She selected one of the larger stockings and stuffed it with her plush and peanut brittle. Luckily there was still plenty of room for more loot! For now it was relatively light but it will probably be harder to carry when its full. Luma looked the stocking trying to imagine a way to make it more manageable. Perhaps she could find someway to make a shoulders strap? She stuck the stocking under her arm, this will have to do until a better solution comes along.
Another row of vendors down, still no books. In retrospect she could just go to the library for reading material but she was on the hunt for one manuscript in particular. Rumor was a few copies where being given out to encourage reading amongst the younger children. The next group of vendors were all game booths. Complete a task win a prize. One of these games was balloon darts. Normally Cecelia wouldn't have thought much of this but her eyes had fallen upon a caramel plush sitting upon the prize shelf. It reminded her of a toy she once owned as a child. She decided to try her luck, if you want to call it that. She paid the vendor for a set of darts and with laser like precision popped five balloons in a diagonal row. "Winner!" shouted the booth owner handing Cecelia her requested plush. She lightly hugged the plush finding some comfort in the familiarity of it. Now if only she could find those books.
