Kean. The name registered as she stared at the trinkets on the table, sucking on the candy delightfully. Maybe… she should grab another snowglobe. She didn’t see other types and she would have the full collection. Maybe…
She grabbed the snow globe, one with the winter forest scene. And then, her candy sharer asked her a question. Looking at him, she grinned widely and nodded. ”I love snow globes!” she told him enthusiastically, cuddling her new trinket before putting it into the stocking. Carefully, this time; she didn’t want to break the globe. ”I don’t like the snow but snow globes lets me see the prettiness without the cold!”
Birkita was leaning against the wall, crouched on the ground as she skimmed through the book. She rather liked it, though she wasn’t able to focus on it too much with the hustle and bustle of the festival. Too many people were there to properly enjoy the activities and the noise made reading hard. And so, she glanced around… and spotted the stockings that everyone seemed to be toting around. Quietly, she moved over and grabbed her own stocking, stroking the softness of the material.
She also grabbed another book- The Goblet of Secrets -before putting both the books into the stocking. And then… something else caught her attention. Ohh she wanted it so bad! That blue and white jellyfish plushie!

Kasseri: Kass looked around for more jewelry, spotting a nice snowflake bracelet that she put on right away. She meandered back over to the plushie table and picked up a fox plush that matched her snowflake bracelet.

Sylkie: Sylkie tugged Habu along with her as she made her way to some candy canes. She picked up a bundle of pink ones and was just about to offer one to Habu when something divebombed her with a screech. She whirled around, searching for what might have done it and spotted a cockatriel shooting towards her, only to snap its wings open at the last moment and land roughly on her shoulder. She reached up and stroked its feathers in a careful manner, mindful of the sharp beak.

Habushu: Habushu diligently followed behind Sylkie, only to panic as something winged past him, almost walking him in the head. He darted off to a side table that had antler headbands and picked up a set. He watched carefully as Sylkie became a perch for a temperamental looking bird.

Georgette: Georgette grabbed a bucket of the fake snowballs, chuckling at the thought of starting a snowball fight and winning against all who challenged him.

Vígdís: Vígdís continued to creep between and under tables to avoid as many of the other people around as she could. She stopped for a moment by the table covered in books, reaching up to grab one to slide in her stocking before continuing on her way.
Yaruka put the little plushie in her stocking for safekeeping and continued to wander through the festival, enjoying herself more than she initially thought she would despite feeling lonely. After she finished her cocoa, she decided to have a little snack and stopped by a stand to grab some.....grape mint candyfloss? What a strange blend of flavor.
Danielle couldn't help but giggle as the nezubat got bored with the snowglobe, or was satisfied with what it discovered, and had climbed up her hair to settle on top of her head, its little wing claws gripping the imp's tiny head horns. "You're such a silly thing....but hold on tight, I'll go slow." The little creature seemed special. She was so preoccupied with the nezubat being cute, she felt something heavy drop into her stocking but when she turned to look for who had done it, no one was there. Curiously she reached in and pulled out a rather....scandalous book. Who in the world would give her this??
Guzma just smiled as the cockatrice seemed to be satisfied and hopped up onto the hybrid's shoulder. It looked as grumpy as ever but it wasn't acting hostile. Nice. Guzma looked around a bit before he spied something that he couldn't pass up; he grabbed a set of reigndeer antlers and set them on Flossy's head, laughing at the confused look on her face and the shake of her head that made them jingle. Oh man, that was good.
Mariana was happily reading the first chapter of the book, humming carols to herself still while her nose was in the book. She was so lost in it that she bumped into someone and stumbled back with a jingle from her antlers. "I-Im so sorry!" She stammered and looked up at the person she ran into. They smiled and chuckled gently. "No worries, little one. Here; have a little something sweet." They handed her a bag of peppermint bark and she looked at it with wide, eager eyes....but then remembered her manners and lifted the edge of her skirt out with a little curtsey. "Thank you very much."
Kean didn't quite hear as Lilly ran off and called out to him. Unfortunately it seemed that Cookie Stealer had woken up from his nap, and had decided that he would swipe some of the candy off from the trinket table. Kean tried to catch the nezubat, but unfortunately it was hovering just out of reach. Kean jumped up and down, trying to catch CS when suddenly one of the vendors for the table grabbed the nexubat and handed it back to Kean, giving the child a small, weary smile. They probably had decided that giving freshlings pets for free had been a bad idea for the event.
Kean quickly grabbed CS out of the hands of the vendor, thanking the vendor, and scolding CS for trying to steal. "Stealing is wrong! You shouldn't have stolen that cookie and you can't steal something else! You have to ask for it nicely, like this." He said as he quickly asked the vendor if he could please have one of the purple bracelets that were on the table. The vendor gladly gave it to him, and Kean slipped it around his wrist, then looked back at the nezubat. "See? That isn't so hard! So are you sorry for trying to steal something?" Kean asked, waiting for a response from the Nezubat. The Nezubat looked ashamed, before nodding his head a bit. Kean quickly, but softly, pet the nezubat. "There we go! I forgive you! Just remember to ask next time!"

Taliah was quietly playing with her Fennekit until she accidentally bumped into someone. She eeped out an "I'm sorry!" before grabbing her unnamed familiar, just in case that someone turned out to be mean and would yell at the both of them! Fortunately for her though, it seemed that she had just accidentally bumped into another freshling, who barely seemed to acknowledge that the event occurred. Taliah was a bit surprised at first, before having her attention taken away by one of the vendors who seemed to be calling her over. It seemed to be the one with at the cookie table! Taliah quickly looked between them and the freshling she had bumped into, before telling the other, "I'm so sorry for bumping into you! If you want, you can have a cookie instead of me! I don't need one!" Although she very much would have liked one, she felt guilty about bumping into the other.
Before the other freshling could acknowledge that Taliah had offered her the chance at a cookie, Taliah quickly went over to the cookie table and grabbed a wreath cookie and ran back over to the other freshling. "Here! You can have this!" Taliah said, handing the cookie over. Perhaps if the other freshling was nice enough, then they could be friends?

Lailah had mostly been standing around, staring off into space as she enjoyed the decorations that were used throughout the event, before she felt herself accidentally bumped by someone. She slowly turned to look, not at all angry about being bumped, when she saw what seemed to be an orange geist looking a bit fearful at her. Lailah wondered what the geist was so worried about, when she heard the geist quickly apologize and run off. Lailah mentally shrugged, about to go back to her mental enjoyment of the event, when suddenly the other freshling had come over and was offering a wreath cookie. It seemed that the geist had wanted to make up for bumping into her. Lailah smiled at the other. "Thank you. It's okay, I was just standing here anyway." She replied, quietly and softly taking the cookie and nodding her head in thanks. Just as she was about to put it in her stocking, which wouldn't have been very good since it wasn't wrapped and had fresh icing on it, a very pretty jackalope had grabbed the cookie out of her hand, and had quickly eaten it.
Before the jackalope could get away though, Lailah quickly grabbed it and put it inside her stocking, not really thinking about what the consequences might be for doing so. She turned back to the geist. "Thank you for the cookie. I'm Lailah."
Luma sat on the ground drinking her hot chocolate. She was tired and cold, but happy. Pretty good night so far in her book, and still so much to explore. (no trinket claim)

Cecelia rounded the corner to find a large group of freshlings gathered around a senior nightmare. She wondered what they were doing and then she saw what the nightmare was holding, a copy of the book she'd been looking for! She stood for a moment in watched as the nightmare sat in a next to a table piled high with books, and began reading to the children. How odd. Cecelia made her way over to the table and inquired that she wanted a copy, to which the Librarian behind table replied. "If you wish to walk away with a book, you have to read a passage to the children. We are trying to encourage them to read and they learn by example" This was a very odd request. Some of these books were hardly freshling appropriate. Nevertheless Cecelia nodded and sifted through the pile until she found her prize, a first edition copy of The Mystery Of The Timepiece, mint condition. She opened the front cover and saw it was signed by the author. She almost actually smiled. When the senior had finished the librarian gestured for Cecelia to sit. Well here goes nothing. With dozens of bright little eyes starring her down, she skimmed to where the senior had stopped and began to read aloud.
Winter sat amongst some other freshling listening to a grown up read from a book. She saw this lady a couple times today, always looking very unhappy. She looked unhappy now too. Maybe her face was just stuck like that; it is very cold so maybe its frozen. Winter nibbled at peppermint bark the nice librarian gave her earlier then offered some to the doggy who sat down next to her. She tried offering some to Blue but he was more interested in a piece of candyfloss. She petted the doggy. It was very soft and seemed to like her.
Rowena laught at Tania when the familiar took her cookie. So Rowena grabbed a cookie and when she went to eat it. Something Swoop down and grabbed it. Rowena looked around and seen that a familiar also took her cookie. She stared into the sky. It was easier for Tania her was on the ground. Then the familiar swooped down and landed on her head. Then dropped the cookie in her hand. It cuddled her hair and she assumed it liked her. So she left him there.
Bowie As he was talking, someone somewhere threw a bat plushie, and it landed against Bowie's face. He was stunned for a moment as the plush thing sort of rolled off his face and into his arms, then he burst out laughing. "I guess this thing can't fly."

Zaye Even though she was still miffed at that wretched girl, Zaye did her best not to show it. But being around all these cheerful people was starting to piss her off. She wasn't a fan of this holiday, so she decided to head out. Though... she did pick up a cute potted plant. It would look good on her window sill.
Sphinx A devious smile started to creep across Sphinx's face. She eyed Jin, then Leto and Vega. She could... start throwing snowballs at them... That would cheer her up... but that might make Leto mad. ... Ok she could do that later. She carefully put the bucket out of sight so Leto couldn't scold her for it. Well, she had done a good thing, right? That deserved a treat! Near by, someone was giving out candy floss, so Sphinx asked for the biggest one they had.
Vega He wanted to crawl into a hole and... not come out for the rest of the winter. Oh the nine, why did Sphinx say that? As he was trying (and failing) to compose himself, someone slipped a cute bat plushie into his arms awkwardly, so he was holding it and the jelly plushie to his face.
Asher Hmmm... what else could he do? Maybe he could dance with someone? Or maybe he could play some games? Asher pondered this, but... really, maybe he should pack it up and go visit Kae. He was sure she'd want to hear all about the event. As he was thinking of leaving, someone handed him a plushie.
Meadow The sugar rush was short lived. It must be getting late, because Meadow was having a hard time keeping his eyes open. He very nearly fell asleep in the mug of hot chocolate he was holding.
Avalon "Oh Ten. What am I ever going to do with you?" Avalon shifted his hild on the skyfish and reached an arm around the smaller hybrid to pull him close and hug him. "You know there is always room for you to snuggle me. Even if I'm covered in the kids and Sui... There's always room for you." As he said that, someone shoved a lollipop at him. "...I think maybe that means I Was being too sappy..."
Ten "Way sappy." Ten teased. Avalon snorted. "Hey, just saying what you said. ...Kind of." He grinned. That earned him a flick to one of his earrings, causing the music note to swing and sway. "Hey, do you want to go home? Any more plushies and I don't think I can carry them all."
Nashira Well, now that she had indulged in her own selfish whims, Nashira wasn't sure what she was doing with herself anymore. She looked around for the specterfox she had befriended earlier... when she saw another stunning looking specterfox. It seemed to sense her looking at it, and slowly walked towards her. When they were face to face, the specterfox hesitated a moment before pushing its muzzle against her hand. She had made another friend, it seemed.
Nivasi Well, Nivasi couldn't bee too mad about someone placing antlers on his head. They were quite cute, after all. He readjusted them so they were comfortable before attempting to mingle. He stopped to talk to a vendor who was selling light up necklaces. They were cute, so the nixie bought one.

Salem sighed and walked thr Ugh the festival. He was supposed to have been spending quality time with his son rune but the younger hybrid had disappeared into the crowds. Ah well they took protection seriously now days and rune would be fine. He ignored the rather indignant snort from his other self. Rune was a fine kid, even if he did worry his son was a bit more like Samhain and himself than he would have liked. Ah well Lace didn't terribly care. It was while he was musing he was pretty sure he saw nashira. Only suddenly he was thrust back as Samhain was handed a lollipop. Pfft stupid candy he would get out again. -------------------------------- Leto resisted the urge to sigh, okay he didn't really resist and ran a hand through his hair as Jin poped up with Vega in toe. Then sphinx decided she wanted to add her touch. Yeah his younger sister was definitely uncle Fon's child. " mmm maybe I will later, thank you all for trying to cheer me up and thank you for the present ve-" was what he started to say but then something bumped hard into his back legs and he had to flare his wings out to keep his balance. Suddenly there was a trial wrapped around his legs. Oh that was a big familiar. ---------------------------------- Jin smiled happy that she had brought over Vega to Leto. While Leto had sighed and was making general put out noises he was also starting to smile. It wasn't one of those fake smiles either. He was generally starting to be happy. She watched as sphinx went off to treat herself. Maybe Jin could do the same only when she went to go get something she was met with the same type of familiar as her brother. Wow it was big? Was it friendly was it going to eat her... oh that was a wet lick yuck...... Still it was a familiar one of her first. Her parents would totally let her keep it right? Munching on her candy still but getting to the end of it, she grabbed a red and orange bracelet off the table. Nice. She thought about putting it on immediately… but realized her outfit may prevent her from doing so. So, she shrugged and slipped in into her stocking, grinning at the light clink of it settling next to her snowglobes. Her stocking was starting to fill quite full.
That was when she spotted her dormmate: Birkita. Sucking in an excited breath, she turned to Kean. ”I’ll be over there! Come join me when you’re done!” and, with that, she moved away from the other freshling.

Birkita couldn’t resist her urge any longer. Giving a quick glance around, she snuck up to the side of the table, her size being dwarfed by the large fixture with it’s array of presents. Giving another glance, she took a deep breath… before snatching up the blue and white jellyfish.
It was as soft as she had been imagining, as plush as she was hoping. She hugged it close to her, smiling to herself, walking around the table. A pile of books was on the edge and, as she passed, she snatched one up; Daylight. Grinning over her new treasures, she put Daylight into her bag and pulled the jellyfish on her head, tying the tentacles under her chin, giving herself a very funny looking hat.
Bowie "Hey, I gotta duck away for a bit, ok?" Bowie smirked at Reed and gestured towards the bathroom. He kissed Reed's nose. "I'll be right back." With that, he turned and ducked into the crowd to take care of business. However, when he stepped out, he... honestly had no idea where Reed was. "Well damn." As he was looking around, he accidentally kicked a forgotten plushie. He picked it up. "Wonder if we can find where you belong..."

Sphinx Humph. Jin wasn't following her? Hmmm... She trot back over with her candy, wondering what was so interesting about their brother and Vega. "Hey Jin. Look what I just found." She held up a book. "I wonder if we can get Vega to come home with Leto and read it to us. He always makes funny faces when I ask him to read."
Vega Leto started to speak, and it was fairly soft... but... Vega's head snapped up and he stared at Leto, mouth slightly open. "Oh my Nine...." He dropped the plushies he was holding (and there may have been a new addition to his growing hoard sitting on the ground near by as well) and he covered his mouth with his hands, eyes wide and he stared at Leto. "Leto... you..." He realized that he was both talking, and covering his mouth. There was no way Leto would understand him. He started signing. "W-h-a-t h-a-p-p-e-n-e-d t-o y-o-u-r v-o-i-c-e?" It didn't occur to him that Leto couldn't hear his own voice right now either.
Asher Actually, the more he thought about it, the more leaving was sounding like a good idea. There were just so many people here that it was hard to breath, really. Ok not REALLY hard to breath, but it was crowded.
Nashira She was starting to feel really self conscious about being here, when she spotted a familiar face. That was Samhain, wasn't it? Or... maybe it was Salem? She watched as he was given some candy. No, that was Samhain. She walked over towards the familiar hallow. "Did you just arrive?" Wait, that was a horrible greeting, wasn't it? "...I mean hello. It's good to see you again Samhain."
Nivasi ... What would it take to make people believe he wasn't a child? What did he need to do, stand next to a freshling for a comparison? the nixie sighed and looked at the new plushie he'd been given. The nixie slowly made his way towards a wall and leaned against it, holding his plush treasures against him.
