Welcome to a rather fishy quest for a lovely mutanied modern pirate thinger.
Right now, I'm asking for some critiques on the personality, and history. Everything else should be fine for now. :3
Also, I really don't care about spelling. XD I'll spell check it all later, so please don't even start.

Medical Information: She was on steroids before the island. So apond arrival she'd still have the full on effects of them, but after the first change she'd get more feminine. XD
And the long use of them has caused sideeffects that won't slowly ebb away when she stops the steroids: Elevated blood pressure, higher cholesterol levels, enlarged heart, a bit of liver damage, and gingivitus.

Personality:
Manipulative-- Possibly the best word to describe her, she lives to manipulate others. It's her biggest thrill... The thought that her actions, simple or otherwise, had directed someone else's actions. And she'd do ANYTHING to get it. Along with that this also leaves into
Cruel-- As before, she'll do anythign to manipulate people and get her way. If she even gives a thought towards another's well being it's because she wants to hurt them in some form or another.
Greedy/Envious-- Again, following along her manipulative path. She wants everything and anything. If someone has it, she wants it... and if she has it she wants more of it.
Hot-Tempered-- Her biggest downfall, if something doesn't go the way she wants she's liable to throw a temper tantrum-and not the flailing arms and crying one. She goes on a warpath, starting with the general physical violence. This is a problem because it usually crushes the manipulative abilities of anyone who sees or hears about it. Suddenlly she's not the nice friend on your side, but somethign you never thought of.
Vengeful-- If physical violence didn't do the trick she will keep someone in her mind until she feels she's payed them back thrice. Which often means back to the manipulation tact.
Insane-- She never was quite right in the head after the reality shock of her first experiences on her own. Which mellowed down after awhile, regaining what she saw as control over her life by controling everything around her got rid of that amount of time.
She still thinks rationally, is aware of what she's doing, and all that jazz, but she would still probably be put down with several psychological disorders. (I don't exactly agree with this, but yay for society?)

A: One doesn't really take away the other. XD But, please note, she's really only street smarts. She can figure her way out of some sticky situation rather quickly, but stick her with a math exam and she'll die. XD

Opinionated- Yes, she knows everything, and knows the answere to everything. (Or so she says) So if anything gets said around her, she's almost automatically saying what she thinks about it. Luckalyl, she prefers not to be around people.
Narrow-Minded With alot of opinions, they all tend to be based on "the good ol days." Which may often come up as offensive
AntiSocial- Since no one seems to fit "the good ol days", she reclused in a big house a long time ago, keeping to her cats as the only company she needed. While theres an occassional exception to the rule, most people don't get there as they barely get outside her front gate.

A: The community hated her, and her falling apart house, since it was one of those nice lawn cut 2 inches high ones. So, together in a big plot, tried to figure out how to get rid of the old coot. Thus, runnining into IoDm's "vacation service." Everyone chipped in, and got her a ride, and with the assurance her cat's could come and some other legal threats, she left.

History[Banner 'ere]
Once apon a time...
Zo started out in America, in the lower area of California. She was the only child of two aristocrates. Her mother was a famos celebrity, her father was Senator. She attended private schools, got the best tutors, the best toys, the best everything. Except perhaps the attention of her parents, they would often leave her with her nanny to go on trips around God knows where. Movies, speeches, all that sort. Then return home for awhile until their next journy to nowhere.
Her whole childhood she was never disiplined. Allowed to do whatever she wanted, and have whatever she wanted. Her parents were always "too busy" to bother punishing her, and as for her nanny... She would get in trouble if she tried.
If someone had a toy Zo didn't, then she had to have it. And not just another toy like it she had to have THAT toy. Needless to say she was never the popular child other than those who simply followed her for the perks.
At 7 years of age her parents divorced, her mother obtaining full custody and marrying another man only a few weeks later. Her parents affair was brodcasted on TV, news, magazines.. everywhere, being more rare than it was now adays it was a huge deal. And Zo often got remarks on it, this was where her care for her parents ended, atleast her mother.
By age 13 she was hellish, entering puberty and already spoiled rotton she was the queen of hissy fits. Screaming, throwing things, until she got what she wanted. And even then she was prone to pout that it wasn't good enough.
For said 13th birthday, she demanded her own Yacht trip out into the ocean. Her Mother and Step father gave in immediatly, taking her out for the day. It didn't take long for her to start whining about this and that being wrong with the trip, Naturally the Yacht hadn't been nearly big enough. The cake was the wrong color. The ocean wasn't blue enough... And how they had ruined her birthday. In an over dramatic show she jumped overboard.
It hadn't been a good idea... though it hadn't been the longest drop it certiantly wasn't one her young body handled. The poor dive knocked her uncontious, which lead to a massive panic as people rushed to save her. Sucessfully pulling her to the surface they started to pull her up, thinking the trouble was over... They were wrong.
The media hadn't wasted time spreading the news that little Zo was getting a yacht trip out, and a tiny group of "pirates" had wasted no time in swarming the relitivly defenceless boat. Their timing couldn't have been better as the abruptly attacked and kidnapped the famous daughter, taking her aboard their little boats and sped off.
When Zo awoke, she was beyond terrified. Tied and gagged amonst the midst of rough scary men. She immediatly started a tantrum, catching the attention of one of the "pirates." Irritated, he shouted at her, only causing her crying and tantrum to worsen. After several threats leading nowhere, he offered a deal, if she'd shut up he'd take off the gag. Which she agreed to...
Her big mouth started up no sooner than she was untied. Claiming someone would rush to her rescue... The man brushed it off.
After nearly the rest of the day passed, the group had finally seemed to come to an agreement with a ransom for her life, one the Renells would willingly fork over. Meanwhile, Zo had entertained herself with bothering the other pirates with questions. It hadn't taken her long to figure out that they couldn't actually kill her... Ofcourse, this action had only led to her getting re-gagged. Though it had been enough to spark a fantasical intrest.
When she hit 15 her parents couldn't stand her anymore... Not only was her spoiled tantrums and all around horrible attitude wearing thin as they entered "retirement", along with her 3 year running fasination with pirates turning her into a "tomboy." Thus with much "love" they shipped her off to a boarding school. Both to get away from her and straighten up her strange and unlady-like behavior.
She didn't make it a year in the school before she got fed up with the rules and regulations she was so forcibly bound to. And with the fanciful life of a free-spirited pirate, getting all the treasure and doing whatever she wanted, she ran away to join their ranks.
After another year of trying to excape, she finally managed the feat. Now 17 years old she was free and headed towards California's beach. It wasn't hard for her to find the bad crowd of pirates, however what she got was nothing like what she expected. Being female, she only had one good use to the moraless men...
Then, she was sold off to another group, making her way down the line all the way to the carribians.
It was there she managed to escapse, distressed and not all right in the head from the near year of torment. She couldn't think of anything but getting back at them. Though if anything good had come out of that near year she had became more than educated in the darker area's of life, and offered a good amount of exercise. No longer was she a frail rich little girl, she was toned and tanned, scruffy and unkempt.
And so... With the knowlage gained from her travels, she decided to become a pirate once more. But not a fantasy piratte... A real one. She cut her hair, bound her chest, choked her feminine voice, and gave herself a new name. She even managed a few tatoos from the nearest person who could do so.
And with her new macho look, she found her way back into the group. Starting out low and working her way each time, until she had enough power to get revenge on those she had met along the way. Then she'd ditch her little group, and start anew. At the same time, picking up her various greedy spots and pillaging or causing harm wherever oportunity came. ((Note: each of these takes around 7 years, so she got about 3 revenges in before the island.))
As this time went, she fell into the use of steroids to help her masculinity, and strength among her crew members. Constantly adding onto her tatoo collection with each sucessful heist. It almost became ritual to do so with each batch of money.
Now, at age 36 she was heading towards her 4th revenge, slowly but surely working her, or presumably his, was up to the tops of the ranks. Disaster struck when a previously ditched crew member joined in the group, accusing her of mutanies and abandonment of crews. No one seemed to like this idea, which only led to the loosing of her temper. Fists flew, until the bind on her chest was ripped through.
Secret revealed, and no way to kill the witnesses this time(it'd happend before, but with more privacy), she was overpowered and thrown overboard and left to die. Mildly wounded from the fight, she swam as long as possible in hopes that luck would save her.
Eventually exhaustion took her, finding herself drifting under the water's surface, expecting the end(And more than pissed about this... she wasn't done yet.) Only to wake up furthest from anythign she expected.

Breif:
Childhood was fairly normal, though more "firey" than most kids her age.
As an adult, she struggled with women's rights being accepted, and got stuck working as a secritary to a big law firm. She never got married, though had quite a few dead end relationships, and eventually got tired of trying, thus looking to a cat for companionship.
As she aged she started gathering more and more cats, until she retired from her job. She eventually became a cat hoarder, and took up a job with telemarketing to support herself and her cats. The community she had taken to residing in called the local animal services on it. Eventually rendering her with 6 spayed/neutered cats. However, they still didn't like her, as she had grown into a bitter old lady that constantly shooed people away from her house, and then couldn't maintain it's shape and form like the rest of the communities.
When the ASPCA took her cats, she was stuck ont he radar for Feral Labs, a vet supply company in origin and stills taying active in the buisness. Upon hearing about an old woman with no friends or family to mention, lived alone, and was disliked by her community, they shipped out an invitation to a "pet-themed resort" as her winning an animal lover's charity thing.
She might have put it off, had her job not decided to fire her due to her approaching age of 80, so without anything to stay for she packed up and headed off for a nice stress free vacation with her cats.

About Modern Pirates
Piracy:
Piracy is robbery committed at sea, or sometimes on the shore, by an agent without a commission from a sovereign nation. One who commits piracy by engaging in robbery, pillaging, or plundering at sea is known as a pirate. Seaborne piracy against transport vessels remains a significant issue (with estimated worldwide losses of US$13 to $16 billion per year[1]), particularly in the waters between the Pacific and Indian Oceans, off the Somali coast, and in the Strait of Malacca and Singapore, which are used by over 50,000 commercial ships a year. A recent surge in piracy off the Somali coast spurred a multi-national effort led by the United States to patrol the waters near the Horn of Africa to combat piracy. While boats off the coasts of South America and the Mediterranean Sea are still assailed by pirates, the advent of the United States Coast Guard has nearly eradicated piracy in American waters and the Caribbean Sea. The Jolly Roger is the traditional flag of European and American pirates.
Modern piracy
Piracy at sea continues into the present day. Partly due to the decline of the European Navy's ability to project their power, especially the Royal Navy, piracy in recent times has increased in areas such as south and southeast Asia (the South China Sea), parts of South America, the waters of the Indian Ocean and the south of the Red Sea, with pirates now favoring small boats and taking advantage of the small crew numbers on modern cargo vessels. Modern pirates prey on cargo ships which must slow their speed to navigate narrow straits, making them vulnerable to be overtaken and boarded by small motorboats. Small ships are also capable of disguising themselves as fishing vessels or cargo vessels when not carrying out piracy, in order to avoid or deceive inspections. Also, pirates are often in regions of poor countries with smaller navies, and large trade routes. Pirates take advantage of pursuers by going into their enemy countries waters, to shake them off. With the end of the cold war, navies have decreased size and patrol, and trade has increased, making organized piracy far easier. It is estimated only 1% of modern pirates are caught. Piracy is often a branch of crime syndicates, or small individual groups.
Pirate attack crews consist of 4-10 for going after the ships safe (raiding), to up to seventy to seize the whole vessel.
Captured crew members are either killed, set adrift, or held for ransom.
In most cases, modern pirates are not interested in the cargo and are mainly interested in taking the personal belongings of the crew and the contents of the ship's safe, which might contain large amounts of cash needed for payroll and port fees. In some cases, the pirates force the crew off the ship and sail the ship to a port, where it is repainted and given a new identity through false papers, and/or the cargo is sold for massive quantities of money.
Modern pirates can be successful because a large amount of international commerce occurs via shipping. For commercial reasons, many cargo ships move through narrow bodies of water such as the Suez Canal, the Panama Canal and the Straits of Malacca. As usage increases, many of these ships have to lower cruising speeds to allow for navigation and traffic control, making them prime targets for piracy. Modern piracy can also take place in conditions of political unrest or vacuum. For example, following the disintegration of the government of Somalia, warlords in the region have attacked ships delivering UN food aid [1].
Anti-piracy tactics include shining the search light on the boarding boat as it is coming to blind it, shooting the firehose at it, LRAD type noise weapons, and swirving to create large waves, and rarely, having armed crew, though this is forbidden by international shipping laws. There are also often untrusted extremely expensive security guards that shipping industries sometimes hire. Unfortunately, piracy is increasing at a faster rate than the shipping business can handle.
Modern definitions of piracy include the following acts:
Kidnapping of people for ransom
Robbery
Murder
Seizure of items or the ship
Sabotage, resulting in the ship subsequently sinking
After the US retreat from Vietnam, many fleeing Vietnamese put all their valuables on boats and attempted to leave, and many were looted by pirates.
Pirate attacks tripled between 1993 and 2003. The first half of 2003 was the worst 6-month period on record, with 234 pirate attacks, 16 deaths, and 52 people injured worldwide. There were also 193 crew members held hostage during this period.
182 reported cases of piracy turned up worldwide in the first 6 months of 2004. Of these incidents, 50 occurred in Indonesian waters.
The Piracy Reporting Centre of the International Maritime Bureau (IMB) stated in 2004 that more pirate attacks in that year occurred in Indonesian waters (70 of 251 reported attacks) than in the waters of any other country. Of these attacks, a majority occurred in the Straits of Malacca. They also stated that of the attacks in 2004, oil and gas tankers and bulk carriers were the most popular targets with 67 attacks on tankers and 52 on bulk carriers.
In modern times, ships and airplanes are hijacked for political reasons as well. The perpetrators of these acts could be described as pirates (for instance, the French for plane hijacker is pirate de l'air), but in English are usually termed hijackers or terrorists. An example is the hijacking of the Italian civilian passenger ship Achille Lauro.
Modern pirates also use a great deal of technology. It has been reported that crimes of piracy have involved the use of mobile phones, modern speedboats, AK-47s, shotguns, pistols, mounted machine guns, and even rocket propelled grenades. There is also speculation that modern pirates eavesdrop on satellite communication networks such as Inmarsat to determine cargo and the degree of risk involved with an operation.
There is also terrorism at sea, which is different from piracy in that the acts are not aimed for profit. A large fear is that terrorists will steal a large tanker full of super cooled explosive gases, some of which when blown, could have an explosion like a very small nuclear device.

I'm now going for a nonmorphic kiwi!

and 2. It fits more ICly. It's not hard to figure otu what Zo was just by looking at her and her mass of tatoos... And with all the incidents and problems, another dangerous Islander is the last thing Moreau would want.
So what does he do? Turn her into a 2ft tall flightless bird, ofcourse.

Since it's extinct, I'll be digging up what I feel is the most likely hypothosis, and then suggesting that to IoDM, and ofcourse the artists and mods can chose some other things if they feel like it. :3
Physical Description:
T-rex was 40 to 43.3 feet long, and 14-16 ft tall
"The skull was extremely wide posteriorly, with a narrow snout, allowing some degree of binocular vision. Some of the bones, such as the nasals, were fused, preventing movement between them.
They have short, two fingered forearmd, measuring only 3'3". However, they are not vestigial but instead show large areas for muscle attachment, indicating considerable strength. It was speculated "that the forelimbs may have been used to grasp a mate during copulation. It has also been suggested that the forelimbs were used to assist the animal in rising from a prone position. Another possibility is that the forelimbs held struggling prey while it was dispatched by the tyrannosaur's enormous jaws. This hypothesis may be supported by biomechanical analysis. T. rex forelimb bones exhibit extremely thick cortical bone, indicating that they were developed to withstand heavy loads. ... The heavy build of the arm bones, extreme strength of the muscles, and limited range of motion may indicate a system designed to hold fast despite the stresses of a struggling prey animal."
"Modern representations show T. rex with its body approximately parallel to the ground and tail extended behind the body to balance the head. There have been suggestions that, when chasing prey, the animal might have raised its neck into an 'S' position (much like that of a bird) in order to avoid problems in changing direction."
As for Barbra's position, it will likely be relitively the same, but a bit mroe upright for the whole "Anthro" thing. She'll likely start hunching over more as she gets used to the 100% due to the fact an upright position would cause stress to the joints. But up to the labs to decide how the transformation damanges or fixes anything. XD
Theres been alot of talk about wether dinosaurs were feathered, like the birds they're supposedly related to. For Barbra's case, as "Rare skin impressions from adult tyrannosaurids in Canada and Mongolia show pebbly scales typical of other dinosaurs. "
Another debate is wether or not T-rex was warmblooded, or coldblooded. This is still unknown, but since I'll be later going with the idea that Trex was both a hunter and scavanger (Like Lions and Hyenas and the sort) and she'll be getting scales, I'll go with coldblooded.
T-rexes legs were hypothosized to not be good at running, without massive muscle mass (40–86% of total body mass) "Even moderately fast speeds would have required large leg muscles. This discussion is difficult to resolve, as it is unknown how large the leg muscles were. If they were smaller, only ~11 mph (18 km/h) walking/jogging might have been possible." So this theory will be used.
"The ratio of femur (thigh bone) to tibia (shank bone) length (greater than 1, as in most large theropods) could indicate that Tyrannosaurus was a specialized walker, like a modern elephant. In addition, it had tiny 'arms' that could not have stopped the dinosaur's fall, had it stumbled while running; standard estimates of Tyrannosaurus weight at 6 to 8 tons would produce a lethal impact force, should it have fallen."
Barbra herself will already be unable to run, so this won't really change much. XD Her legs may become a bit broader even, and support a faster pace for her walking. Who knows. O:
Sexes are hypothisized as the female being more robust, with wider hips. However, in recent years, evidence for sexual dimorphism has been weakened, so there isn't really much gender difference between Trex.
Dieting habits:
Another thing under big debate is wether Trex was a hunter, or a scavenger. "Tyrannosaurs have large olfactory bulbs and olfactory nerves (relative to their brain size). These suggest a highly developed sense of smell, allegedly used to sniff out carcasses over great distances. Tyrannosaur teeth could crush bone, a skill perhaps used to extract as much food (bone marrow) as possible from carcass remnants, usually the least nutritious parts. Since at least some of Tyrannosaurus's prey could move quickly, evidence that it walked instead of ran could indicate that it was a scavenger."
However, "Some other evidence exists that suggests hunting behavior in Tyrannosaurus. The ocular cavities of tyrannosaurs are positioned so that the eyes would point forward, giving the dinosaur binocular vision. A scavenger might not need the advanced depth perception that stereoscopic vision affords; in modern animals, binocular vision is found primarily in predators." And ontop of that there have been skeletons of other dinosaurs with bitemarks from a T-rex on the bone, which had then had time to heal into scars, suggesting that the T-rex had been hunting.
For Barbra, I'll be going with the idea most publisized. That the T-rex was infact both a scavenger, and a predator. "Taking whatever meat it could acquire depending on the opportunity that was presented. Modern carnivores such as lions and hyenas will often scavenge what other predators have killed, suggesting that tyrannosaurs may also have done so."
Barbra's food habits will undoubtably become primarily carnivorous, either picking off her own food, or "scavanging" it off from the cafeteria. The latter is more likely due to her age.
Psychological aspects:
Ofcourse, theres not much known about the way the T-rex behaived, but theres atleast a few things we can guess from their physical traits. Like the whole Scavageing bit and their running abilities ectect.
There won't be too much, but there will be a strong urge for meats, and a general predatory instinct. Like when theres prey 5 feet from you and can't even tell you're there kinda thing, she'll get the urge to try and catch it.
So predatory instincts.
Carnivore.
She won't feel nocturnal or anything like that, and the coldblooded thing isn't really "psychological." XD
Physical changes:
Other than the obvious ones like.. oh em eff gee you're a T-rex! there will be a few physical things happening internally or stuff that you can't really see happening. Or so i'd imagine. XD
-A stonger sense of smell
-Extra bones(Ofcourse.)
-Spine and other bones shifting
-Less sense of hearing (Ontop of whats already gone. XD)
-Cold blooded and those issues. *prods Natsumi*
-Change in digestive track for meats, and rawish meats, but no vegetation.
- Theres more, I'm sure. XD
Other issues:
General old-age health can be a concern, expecially when going from upright, to a horozontal fashion in which you balance yourself. I'm figuring with changes she might have bone damage, or whatever else, whenever her body gets that sudden stress of mutation. Wee. I leave this to the labs to decide what does what. :3 I'm up for anything.
Her cats actually won't become prey, I'd imagine, though she'll feel tempted she wouldn't ever hurt the thing she loves most in the world. XD Other people getting them... Thats another story. >3 Poor kitties.
