The Graceful Shark

[Weight] 140 lbs
"Whatever sinks your ship!"
[Physical Apperance] Ally is somewhat short standing about 5'6" and she is compact in her build, compensating her height for a more muscular and lithe apperance. Her hair is a very light brown color, streaked with a dull straw blond color. It cascades thickly past her ear, pooling about broad shoulders. She is nothing spectacular to look at, falling more into the plain Jane Catagory. Though there is a vauge hint of potential hidden beneath the mass of freckles that covers her face, and the rest of her body, like a plauge. She hates the pallor of her skin and is wholly convinced that her only decent feature is the color of her deep blue eyes.
[Distinguishing Marks] Freckles completely cover her body in sporadic amounts, concentrated heavily on her nose, chest, and shoulders.
[Clothing] When not at work, Ally likes to adopt a very stereotypical cowgirl like outfit comprised of fitted and faded jeans, chocolate brown cowboy boots and a white tank-top covered by a plaid overshirt, complete with a spiffy light colored cowboy hat. But no matter what she is wearing, she always has the amethyst necklace her father gave her for her sixteenth birthday, hanging around her neck.
[Personality] Ally is a rather shy person. In the presence of strangers, she can be perceived as hesitant and soft spoken. This hesitation is bred from her tendency to be highly self-conscious. She worries about what other people think about her, and will do just about anything to make sure that she does not have to face any sort of rejection. For her biggest fear is rejection in all of its forms.
Lately Ally as been attempting to come out of her shell. Still hesitant and extremely self-concious, she is working at becomming more vocal. And while her steps are small and slow comming she has been making some decent progress as of late.
It is only fair to mention that Ally is a very driven person. It is only through her determination that she was able to forge a name for herself in her sports, and earn her college scholarship. She knows exactly when to buckle down and get to work. And she does so zoning off into her own little world. When she is in this "bubble", that is her intense concentration, it is best to leave her be. When working she has a tendancy to work alone, refusing help from anyone. She is stubborn in this retrospect and her brother speculates, that this is just another way she attempts to prove herself to others.
[Background] Ally was born into a middle class family, the first daughter of a young couple. From an early age she was instilled with the importance of family and "Southern Hospitality." Very little changed when her younger brother, Jeffery, was born. If anything it caused the then eight year old Ally to grow up quickly, even if by her choice.
By the age of five Ally knew she wanted to be a Professional Athlete. She tried everything from Soccer to Diving, dabbling in the more strenious activities: such as powerlifting, when she hit Highschool. While competing in the State Track Championship her senior year, Ally took a nasty fall during the three-hundred hurdles finals, hitting one of the early hurdles full on with her trai leg. As luck would have it, her positiong as she fell caused her left knee to blow. As of that moment her bright career in athletics was over.
More determined than anything to prove herself to the world, Ally applied herself more intensly to her school work and recieved a small scholarship to the college of her choice. There she studied sports medicine, convinced that she could help other athletes with their pain.
Earning a basic degree for Physical therapy, Ally began searching for offers that would allow her to gain a bit of field experiance. And that is when she stumbled upon a company by the name of Feral Labs.
[Other] Ally has avoided bodies of water, pools included, like a plauge since her freshman year, when a dive gone awary caused her to almost drown. She had never been to the ocean before, and after the incident point blank refused to go to one.
[Ally's Thoughts] Ally is rather disgusted with herself. As a somewhat accomplished adult she feels that her anxiety is riddiculous, thus her attempts to change this. However no amount of disgust is able to quell the fear she feels at the prospect of a room full of people.
[Dream Job] A Physical Therapist. All of her experiance in sports have caused her to become fascinated with sports related injuries. She was subject to a few massive injuries herself and she had hoped to help athletes overcome their injuries like her therapist had helped her.
[Likes] Music, Competition, Water, Politics, Reading, Oprah and Dr. Phil, Comic books, musicals, shopping, Creative Writting, and being with Friends...
[Dislikes] Hot and Humid Weather, Liars, Deception. Her Violent side, White Chocolate, Male Sexist pigs, getting pressed into a corner, Drugs, Addictions...

Moreau's Motive
[The Arrival] After finishing her fourth year in the pursuit of a medical science degree, majoring in physical Therapy, Ally began searching for a part time Internship. As it was Ally was rather talented in her particular field of study, so when she found an offer for a part time Physical therapy Study, she jumped at the chance.
[But Why Ally?] An island Physical Therapist perhaps. Perhaps not to lessen pain but to gather data on how the transformation pain effects the body.
[A Shark?] A woman deathly of fraid of water+A water animal= Just plain Cruel. Plus a shark is usually an agressive creature, whereas Ally is very much on the timid side of the scale.

Phonetics While reading through the Islander's Duplex pages, I came across "F"s. Revian had compiled a list of phonetics to show Islander's how F would sound. As I am really horrible with diffrent dialects I thought it would be a good idea to do the same for Ally...Just in case I butchered the Southern Dialect in any RP's!

The Transformation
[Ideal 100%] Completely transformed into a shark, not a hair is evident, even on her head, leaving only a slight swell of the chest area and deep royal blue eyes as a reminder of her prior humanity. Fixated painfully around her neck is the necklace her father gave her for her Sweet Sixteen. Coloring A dark bluish black top and creamy white underside.
*Please Note that this is just how I see Ally's forms in my head. Her apperaance is really up to the Lab Tech's, and quite frankly I can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeves!
Sample Transformation Post
Pain. Flashing, searing, consuming. It encompassed her, eating her from the inside out. Oh God it Hurt! Oh God! Oh God!
Doubling over, Ally clutched at her sides, her breathing hitched as a tingling sensation began at the base of her neck. Swiftly it spread, escalating to a fierce itch, covering her entire body. Oh God! She was going to rip her skin apart!
And then as quickly as it came, the itching receeded, leaving only the tingling from her own finger nails. It became difficult to breath, suddenly and violently her world spun out of control. Toppling backwards, her vision became nothing but a spinning wonder of bright flashing lights and then there was the welcoming embrace of darkness.Work in Progress...

[Common Name] Short-fin Mako
[Name Meaning] Maori for Blue Lightning
[Physical Description] The shortfin mako shark is a sleek spindle shaped shark with a long conical snout. This shark has short pectoral fins and a crescent shaped caudal (tail) fin. There is a distinct caudal keel on the caudal base. Its second dorsal fin is much smaller than the first. The teeth are are slender and slightly curved with no lateral cusps, and are visible even when the mouth is closed. There is marked countershading on this shark: dorsally it is a metallic indigo blue while ventrally it is white.
The shortfin mako can grow to lengths of 3.9 meters (13 feet).
[Life-Span] There is still some uncertainty about its life-span, but it is suspected to reach ages of between 11-23 years.
]Quirks] As one of the fastest sharks in the ocean, this powerful shark can attain burst swimming speeds of up to 35 km/h (22 mph) and can leap clear of the water to heights of up to 6 meters (20 feet).
[Diet] The shortfin mako feeds mainly upon bony fishes including mackerels, tunas, bonitos and swordfish, but may also eat other sharks, porpoises and sea turtles.
[Habitat] Shortfin mako sharks live in tropical and temperate offshore waters. They are a pelagic species that occur from the surface down to depths of 150 meters (490 feet). This shark is seldom found in waters colder than 16 degrees Celsius.

Yin and Yang
