Likes:
Mae (of course he loves Mae; he's the only other living creature Darke actually needs to be around. Others are... okay, but Darke absolutely despises leaving Mae's side), having his cheeks rubbed (it feels good, what else do you need to know?), being read to (now that he's a little older, he'll sit still at night for story time), and nipping at Mae's fingers and hair when he does something questionable (the boy's reactions are priceless).
Dislikes:
Being bathed (at first Mae always tried to pull the Khehora in the water with him, but after being nipped and screeched at, Maeron decided it was probably easier to just let him roam around the bathroom while he washed, not to mention that Darke is quite a bit larger now. He still hates it. Makes his feathers feel oily), people pretending to be what they aren't (that makes them untrustworthy liars, and watching Maeron be attacked (possibly the thing he dislikes the most, since he should most certainly be the one attacked first, due to his immeasurable amount of Aiskalan power).
Strengths:
Curious, cunning, and defensive, Darke is capable of finding ways to get what he wants; whether that's stopping Dragons from attacking Mae or sneaking a snack after bedtime. He's not afraid of failure, and goes into battle whole-heartedly. He is a great team-player when Maeron is involved.
Weaknesses:
Overeager, headstrong, and a bit mean, Darke doesn't trust people much more than Mae does. He charges in alongside his companion and would rather die than watch Mae be hurt. Which is good for Maeron, but bad for him. He only works well with his Bonded. He does not take orders from, nor offer assistance to anyone else.
Fears:
Being alone (for the most part, Mae doesn't leave his side for an instant. Mae used to bundle Darke up in a makeshift nest beside his bed, making it impossible for Darke to see him, but now that he's grown, Darke usually sleeps near Maeron's feet), and losing his bonded (he's not quite sure if he's just afraid of death, or if he's also afraid of their bond breaking. Mae assures him that such a thing isn't possible, but Darke wonders...).
Quirks:
He likes to watch fearful two-leggers and their jumpyness. A little frosty coating on a limb tends to make two-leggers weary.
Personality:
Darke is curious and eager. He chatters nonstop, only sometimes making sense. Though he sticks close to Mae's side, he often nudges his nose into places it doesn't quite belong. By this stage in his life, he's eager to go exploring and hunting with Mae, though absolutely abhors when his bonded gets hurt; physically or emotionally. He is interested in both two-leggers and their strange reactions, as well as Khehoras and their origins. He's more willing to listen to Mae's recounts and form his own opinions, though it does seem like they are usually in agreement. That being said, it doesn't stop him from taunting and tormenting his boy. He might not like anyone else hurting him, but Darke does love to watch his bonded's facial expressions.
Description:
Darke is covered in downy, sky-colored feathers. He has a light lavender patch on his chest, as well as splashes of lavender around the base of his horns and along his long neck-feathers. His chest feathers are also accented with dark, chocolatey brown stripeings. Has big, baby-blue eyes. The tip of his tail is adorned with longer feathers.

 History
After hatching from his egg, Darke followed Mae everywhere. Even as a young Orakoi, he was able to recognize the voice of his bonded, and he stuck to his Orderite like glue, much to Mae's glee. Now a bit older, Darke is just as eager to explore the world as his companion is. He's already met a few adult Khehora and finds them very enthralling. He's also already experienced a few battles alongside Mae. His bonded isn't the most graceful or careful, so watching the little Orderite get hurt tends to upset him and drive him into a frenzy. While it pained him when he was young and helpless, Darke is now prepared to fully fight alongside his boy. Together, they will become true heroes capable of saving Magesc and righting all the wrongs that have been caused!
And he's starting off by encouraging his beloved Bonded to join the Guardians, and help uphold the ideals of righteousness! He continues to battle alongside Mae to complete missions.

Dragons:
Mostly weary of them. Mae says they're mean, and Darke doesn't like anything that'll snap at his bonded. Of course, he and his boy have gained a fair amount of experience. While Darke was once weary and hesitant, he will not follow Mae eagerly and fearlessly into battle against even the most powerful of dragons.
Khehora:
Naturally, Darke is curious of the things he looks like. Mae can spout his words as much as he likes, but Darke would rather just meet a real one. He's especially curious of other Aiskalas and Alihora.
Grrel: A feral Kiandri Orakovan that is Toki's apprentice.
'I suppose I should be flattered that she was worried for my well-being, but... She jumped to her conclusions pretty quickly, and I have no respect for that.'
Kioda: A feral Ysali that went with Erionda and Mae through the Cave of Dragons.
'I kind of liked her. She seemed friendly enough, even if she looked down and me and Mae. I'm not entirely sure why she felt bad for me, though. I'm pretty sure I could have taken her out with my Bonded's help!'
Lanzecki: An Ayrala Orakoir bonded to Erionda.
'A youngster like me! I've never seen another before! He seemed playful too, but I kept having the sinking suspicion that he was trying to get me in trouble with his Bonded... I didn't want her to step on me...'
Lazuli: A Peisio Orakovan bonded to Maslin.
'I was just a Orakoi when I met Lazuli. He seemed okay to me, but I could tell Mae didn't like him!'
Samael: A big Gaili Orakovan that joined Mae and Darke on a few hunts.
'He's certainly friendly. Mae always says that Khehora don't really get along with Magescians, but it's hard to believe when Sam is so nice! I got the feeling that he felt bad for me, though... I wonder why.'
Suluksati: A feral Aedaun Alihora that Mae and Darke fought a hoard of dragons alongside.
'The first Khehora I've seen that's feathered like me... I don't think she's as beautiful as me, though. And I'm pretty sure my combined magic with Mae could totally knock her out. I guess that's all that matters. Hmph! We can take out those draconian beasts just as easily as she can!'
Toki: A feral Kiandri Orakovan that is the shaman of his clan.
'I like him! I get good vibes from this guy, even if he is old and blind. He's not interested in tearing me away from my boy, like his companion was...'
Uassae: An Aedaun Orakovan bonded to Erionda.
'I liked him. Despite his Bonded's attitude, he seemed fair and wise. It would've been a real shame if we'd lost him, but the fact that he was able to heal himself is just a testament to his strength! I hope I can do for Mae what he does for Erionda.'
People:
Darke takes two-leggers on a case-by-case basis. Yes, his bonded is a two-legger, and Mae is all too willing to make friends with other Orderites, but what of the others? Are they so bad just cause they're different? I mean, Darke is different than a lot of the Khehora, but that doesn't make him bad... Of course, anyone cold to Mae is his enemy as well. Of course any lying two-legger is no friend no matter what.
Erionda: A cold Hybrid that Mae followed into the Cave of Dragons.
'As long as she doesn't turn that cold gaze on me, I think we can get along. Despite her distaste for my boy, I don't think she had anything against me. She never shouted at me for getting in the way, or touching her, at least. That's good enough for me. I want to help her.'
Maeron Aredan: Darke's bonded Magescian.
'Of course I love Mae. I don't guess I'd be alive without him. Yes, he can get into trouble and be a handful, but overall, I wouldn't have it any other way. He's my boy, after all! I must protect and guard him in any way I can! I can already tell he'll get into more trouble without me... It's obvious that we work best as a team, and I wouldn't let him go into battle without me, anyway.'
Maslin: A Dovaa/Orderite hybrid that Darke met when he was very young.
'I was too young when we met to really remember him. He had a Bonded Khehora that kept calling me funny names, though. I guess he wasn't a bad person. He didn't attack us, at least.'
Raemos: An Oblivionite boy that was a part of the dragon-fighting group Darke and Mae joined.
'I don't trust him. Mae fell for this kid's ruse pretty much instantly, but my sense of smell has never betrayed me before, and I can't help but feel like there's something... off about this strange little boy. He hasn't tried to hurt us, though...'
Rowan: An Oblivionite girl Mae and Darke met on a trip to Eowyn.
'Darke's thoughts.'
Sueno: An Orderite woman that the Guardians helped defend her farm from Mara!
'She's an okay girl. It looks like she's not afraid to get down gritty for a tough challenge. Still, I hope charging into dangerous situations isn't a habit of hers...'
Tohru: A young Kiandri Dovaa that followed Mae and Darke into the Cave of Dragons. Mae later battled with him.
'The poor thing! I don't know what has the little one so spooked, but he really is very meek and hesitant... My idiot Bonded challenged him to a fight and completely walloped him! I feel bad for the little guy... It helps that he was clearly very taken with me. But who wouldn't be?'

Ebele: An Oblivionite woman that planned an attack on Aevah Avi. She also shot Mae with an arrow.
'I didn't see her personally, but I can't forgive her for harming my boy, no matter if her intentions were good or not! She got what was coming to her when Aevah finished her off.'
