C'est Moi - Taking care of Akio Yoshida is a full time job and fulfilling his own needs takes priority before family, friends, school, job - anything. Whether it's primping, dressing, cleaning or flaunting, Akio's number one focus above any and every thing is Akio himself. Conceited, yes. But no one can ever accuse him of "letting himself go". He is his own best friend until the end - he is his own favorite fan, he is his own harshest critic. Akio will always be there for Akio when no one else will.

Performing - Performing is as vital to him as air and water, if he's not singing, he's humming, composing or pulling some moves. Whether his audience consists of one person or ten, he likes to show off his array of talents, regardless if they're willing participants or not. If a song is playing in a store, Akio has no qualms with belting out alongside it. He finds a guitar laying around in a friend's house? No issue with plucking it up and strumming one of his favorite songs on it - no need to thank him, he's happy to perform for you. If Akio's not able to perform, he simply isn't living.

Karaoke - What better place is there to express one's natural talents than a karaoke bar? The songlist book at Destiny's City local karaoke bar has its pages worn out, thanks in part to Akio's frequent use of it. He loves all the music - rock, pop, even country has a place in his heart (if only because he can sing along to it). If it has lyrics, he's willing to sing to it. So, word to the wise... don't let Akio choose where the group should hang out, unless you're willing to go to the karaoke bar every time.

Self-Pampering - Taking care of oneself 24/7/365 is hard work. It also requires only the best of the best (for the best, naturally), so Akio does not hesitate to splurge on things for himself. The most expensive shampoo to care for his soft, luxurious locks of hair, the softest, sweetest smelling soaps to touch his flawless skin - he must have it all. Bubble baths, exotic chocolates, anything to reward himself for being his own magnificent self is something he's willing to pay for.




Virtues:

Confident - Bold and unpredictable, Akio never hesitates before jumping into the fray or making a decision on whim. Breaking into song or breaking into conversation, Akio has enough confidence to see him through any and all of his decisions (and it's okay, he knew you wanted to hear his thoughts on the subject anyhow!). Akio doesn't plan, Akio simply does, and he'll take the consequences in stride (though he really couldn't care less of what you thought of it to begin with since he was happy with his decision in the first place!). Expect the unexpected and you'll be expecting Akio.

Gentleman - Akio is known as a gentleman, inside and outside of the music industry, as living the life of a music star requires a talented amount of bullshit and charm to get anywhere in the business. Years of practice (and upbringing) has given him the talent of knowing what to say at the right time to capture the attention and hearts of reporters, fans, managers, associates, friends and everyone else alike. There is no personality that Akio can't play to win you over, as long as it has the qualities of prince and charming.

Seize the Day - Laziness is not an option. Akio is a firm believer that nothing can be achieved by sitting or lounging around. As well, one should never have to wait until tomorrow to do what can be accomplished today - in fact, there is no day but today. If an opportunity presents itself, Akio sees no reason why it shouldn't be taken. You only live once, so there's no excuse as to why you would waste it by being idle or unproductive. Singing is productive. Fan gathering is productive. Sitting around and sleeping is far from productive!

Setting the Standard - Akio does not need your standards to live by - Akio sets his own standards for himself to live by. Peer pressure only works when you respect how your peers feel and you want to please them - Akio firmly believes his feelings trump yours and therefore it is you who should be feeling the need to please him, not the other way around. So what if you made an A - he thinks making a B is perfectly acceptable and you're just some silly overachiever. It doesn't matter if you went to bed at ten - he can still manage to wake up for school after going to bed at 2:30, so 2:30 is perfectly acceptable! Aside from his own parents, there are very few individuals that Akio has any interest in seeking approval from, making himself responsible for setting his own standard. Peer pressure problems? Not with Akio!


Flaws:

The World Revolves Around Me - With Akio having Akio as his own hobby, it is pretty safe to assume that he's also severely egocentric. Friendships and loved ones take a backseat to his own personal thoughts and maintenance, hurting the relationship in the process. If it has nothing to do with him, he wants little to do with it.

Criticism? About ME? - Akio cannot take criticism. At ALL. He feels that he's doing his very best at all times, so accusing him of doing something wrong or even the notion that he could do better at something will infuriate him. He's doing it just fine, okay?

Passive Aggressive - If he doesn't like you, generally speaking, or you've made the terrible mistake of offending Akio Yoshida, you will know it very soon as the gentleman Akio chooses to use his words as his figurative weapons, not his fists. Comments, retorts, his demeanor in general will quickly turn passive aggressive towards anyone or anything that offends him, so watch out for that red flag!

It's Not Me, It's You - Akio tends to go through girlfriends and relationships as quickly as a typical person goes through a box of tissues. Sometimes they leave, fed up with his egocentric ways, but most of the time he's grown bored with them before they've had the chance to realize how conceited he truly is. Being the attention seeker that he is, Akio feels the need to always have arm candy by his side, both for the purposes of having attention lavished upon him at any given point, but to also make him look good (who would have guessed, right?). But, sadly, the types of girls willing to stand in for the role of arm candy tend to be shallow and dull individuals, at least by Akio's standards. So, for the most part, they leave as quickly as they arrive and he moves on to the next lady of the hour.


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Almond shape and color.

Hair: Styled short and perfectly. Dark chocolate in color.

Face: Lean and flawless. Always wearing one dark crystal earring.

Clothes: Fashionable to a T. When not dressed up for school or karaoke bar-hopping, he's usually lounging around in nice slacks and button-down shirt - there's no reason, in Akio's mind, that a person should not look his best at all times! Who knows who could be watching?

Born to a music manager for a father and singer for a mother, Akio was raised knowing the in's and out's of the music industry. With both parents' heavy expectations and high standards on his shoulders, Akio began vocal lessons as soon as he was able to talk. Music competitions became a normality for him and at thirteen, he was signed with a singing group Banzai!, consisting of four other boys of the same age. Banzai! went on to become a smash hit among the J-Pop fans of Japan (especially with swooning teenage girls) and came out with three CDs and three musical tours.

After four years of performing together, however, the group fell apart after member Shi Takahichi canceled his contract and signed with a competitive record label, going solo with his own talents. The remaining four attempted to keep Banzai! together, but it was soon (unfortunately) evident that the band could not be salvaged. This left Akio jobless a mere two months later.

Auditions came and went, but it became painfully obvious that Japan was no longer in need of Akio's services. Akio's little sister Rei, however, was still making it big in the industry, but Akio himself was left with nothing but the disappointment of two goal-driven parents. Having no other talent to rely on, he found his escape from the pressured world of his parents in the form of an Exchange Program that opened up the opportunity to travel to America and stay with a host family, keeping him far, far away from his current situation.

It was here, through fate, that he stumbled upon Black Lady and Wiseman, who awakened the star seed within him to reveal his slumbering past form: Seal's Eye of the Amazon Trio.

Seal's Eye, a Guardian of Elysion, once had the task of caring for Elysion alongside his companions Quail's Eye and Leopard's Eye. Now that the war within Elysion has passed and Helios once again in control, Unlike many of the other magical beings living in Destiny City, however, Seal's Eye has no ultimate "goal" to achieve, other than to keep himself and his loved ones out of harm's way. The Negaverse and the Senshi do not interest him, but that's no to say that he may not change his mind later on, should an opportunity present itself...
