It was a beautiful day.

It was beautiful because not only was the weather clear, but also because he knew he could enjoy it entirely undisturbed. A little slice of Heaven on Earth - or within it, rather.

Arms reached back and poised themselves as a pillow, sandy blonde hair resting down atop his palms as blue eyes closed themselves. His sandals had been kicked off, arms and feet enjoying the warmth of the beach beneath him. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was music to his pointed ears and he inhaled a long, deep breath.

It was such a beautiful da--wait.

Eyelashes fluttered open as a sudden presence made itself known. His waters remained untouched but the presence had arrived from behind, roaming across the grassy fields that stretched for miles. There were only two souls that had access to the wondrous world he helped guard and he hadn't seen either in years... could it be possible?

"I was beginning to think you were shirking on your duties."

He remained where he lay, a smirk growing across his face. Truth be told, he was fairly pleased to see a comrade - but it didn't mean he was willing to give up his comfortable spot just yet.
