The two-legger Mushyn Tala's teepee is located safely inside the village though it is now a bit closer to the outskirts. It is quite large in order to house the permanent equine resident and occasional visitors. Only Lunathiel, Mushyn Tala's original horse, still resides with the human. Occasionally other old friends stop by but visits tend to be short.

History: As a child Margerie was always a bit of a loner. In a large family of extroverts she was the one who would always stay in the background simply watching. She would study her family and her herd mates closely just to see how they worked. While she could interact with the others well enough if she needed to she preferred not to. She did have a few friends but she was more likely to spend her days alone in thought than out playing.

It probably came to no one's surprise that when the quake opened up the valley to the world that she was one of the first out. She left her family behind to find her own way and she hasn't looked back. Margerie set herself up near a river bank and began presenting herself to people as a seer. She's met several interesting characters and made herself a beautiful rock garden.

Personality: Margerie is a rather insightful creature despite her young age. Her years of people watching has increased her ability to read people. She never explains why she's so good at it and prefers to play it off like she can really get into their heads. Some days she likes to add riddles or vague speeches in order to further shake people. For the small qui'lin in a strange land of giants all of her "mysterious" mannerisms are a defense mechanism. If she can get people to think she is somehow in their minds she reasons that she can get people to think she can damage them.

She is not a mean-spirited girl in anyway. She is quiet, thoughtful, and easily intimidated. It's only when she's thoroughly provoked that she'd ever actually try to shake a person purposefully.

History: Farren was born into a decent sized herd far past the northern desert. Their territory spanned over a good deal of grassland. In the center of their territory there was a small lake with many willow trees encircling it. A thin trail just big enough for a single horse to cross wove its way into the very heart of the lake where a large circular ‘island’ lay. This island was a place in the territory that was exclusively for mares because in the herd that Farren was born into the mares held the power. The stallions were only good for protection and procreation and were often kept away from the females of the group.

Farren grew up at his mother’s side learning the ways of the herd. He discovered very quickly that he wasn’t exactly welcome in the central areas. While his mother pretended that there was nothing wrong with him he could see the looks that the other mares were giving him. There were no rules that said a male had to live in the outskirts but most colts were sent to grow up with their fathers along the borders. These colts were watched by an older group of mares who were generally outcasts from other herds. Farren’s mother wouldn’t have another female rearing her child, however, and made this abundantly clear. So Farren dealt with cold looks and shoulders throughout his entire childhood. Despite the frigid attitudes of those around him his life was pretty good. There was plenty of good food and he had no real responsibilities.

As he grew into a mature body, however, he was presented with border patrol duty with a small group of males. At first he didn’t mind the duty. His mother seemed pleased that he had gotten this job. He assumed it would be like his current life but with a little walking around. What he didn’t know was that his mother was just happy that he hadn’t been saddled with a more dangerous task. It did not take him long to realize that his life had taken a dramatic shift.

By the end of the first day Farren was worn out and after a week of ‘vile’ food, little rest, and long days in the sun he was fed up. He tried to return to his shaded ‘home’ but was told to carry out his task as instructed. Those in his group found out that he had tried to leave and began treating him poorly. This cruelty didn’t bother Farren at all. He had developed a sharp tongue and he wielded it like a poisoned dagger tearing at the males he was to call partners eventually driving them away. All alone he decided to leave as well knowing that he would not welcome in the herd any longer.

Personality:
Farren’s a bit of an a** cleverly disguised as a lady or gentleman. He has a sharp and poisoned tongue that can seem as sweet as honey at points. He craves status more than anything else and the luxuries that come with it but thinks himself unable to gain prestigious positions on his own. So, he seeks out those holding such positions in the world and weasels his way into their lives and hearts with sweet words and shameless flattery. Generally he prays on the hearts of females finding them easier to deal with but will occasionally try his same tricks on males. If he feels he can gain nothing else from another he will drop them like a sack of bricks and walk away.

Those that do not find themselves living in high society are generally safe from his using ways. He has nothing to gain from twisting them apart in most cases so he leaves them alone. That does not mean, however, that they are safe from him. He will still toy and tease those more common but his departures are less violent and sometimes can even be pleasant. His small stature and accessories help him pass himself off as a female since he still believes them to hold the most power.
