Class Instructions: Have your student tell Judas what their favorite number is! Also include whether or not there are any superstitions tied to it. (i.e., 13 being unlucky) Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment. Submission: Favorite 7 Lika didn't really know why exactly she liked the number 7, but it was a good number. Maybe it was just it's elegant "swish" she felt when she blindly tried to write it, maybe it was the arrangement of the dots when she read the number with her hands, but either way, seven was her favorite number, and that was that. When she cuddled with her dog, she liked to call it seven, as a nickname. Lika felt the dots that told her the number 7, and pondered them. She was taught the movements for writing seven, and other than number 1, it was the easiest.
Class Instructions: Hunter's Jubilee is upon us! Freshlings will write a short story of at least 100 words. It should be about a time that they felt love (platonic, familial, or otherwise) for someone else, and how they handled that feeling. Submission: Lika shyly closed her blind eyes, thinking. It wasn't hard, what she loved was her service dog, PomPom. The mischievous dog was always by Lika's side, helping her find her way, not get lost, and manage being blind. Lika loved her dog, and loved how PomPom enjoyed retrieving things for the little nightmare. Lika tried not to take advantage of Pompom's natural instinct to fetch, but the puppy just made such cute noises when she brought back whatever it was that Lika had dropped. When not busy at work being a service dog, PomPom loved bringing Lika sticks and other found things for the nightmare to throw.
Class Instructions: Have your student tell Judas what their favorite number is! Also include whether or not there are any superstitions tied to it. (i.e., 13 being unlucky) Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment. Submission: Sachas liked the number for. Lots of things came in fours. He had four wings total, two big ones, and two small ones. He had four petals on his favorite flower. He had four copies of his favorite book, it was the book his dear friend Plein had written for him. He liked to read it, in fact, he had read it four times so far. It was a big number, and the little nightmare was proud. Four was good, not too many, not too few, enough to share, and enough to eat all on one's own should the time allow.
Class Instructions: Hunter's Jubilee is upon us! Freshlings will write a short story of at least 100 words. It should be about a time that they felt love (platonic, familial, or otherwise) for someone else, and how they handled that feeling. Submission: There is a lot to love in the world, Satchas thought. I love my friends, I love plants, I love my wings. So narrowing it down was extremely hard for the poor kid. He thought back to his garden. It had been hard to convince someone to let him enjoy the responsibility of having his own garden, but once he did, he loved it. The nightmare loved how a garden gave back what one put into it. He had spent a long time perfecting the perfect plot of dirt to plant his tulip bulb in. It payed off, as a few months later, a bright pink flower popped up, just for the little nightmare. He loved that plant, and though sad when it finally wilted, he knew if he took care of it again, it would come back, and give him another glimpse at the beautiful flower.
Class Instructions: Roll two 20-sided dice! That is the number of jumping jacks your Freshling managed to do. Make sure to post a small RP response in thread about how your Freshling felt about the exercise! Submission: Satchas was a fairly delicate fay. Mostly, it was just a part of being fay. He worried about his flower, and made sure it got plenty of light. So when he was told to do jumping jacks he was immediately worried. Sure he could run and jump and play like all the kids, but he still worried. The boy looked down at his feet, took a deep breath, and got to work on those jumping jacks. When the fay finally finished, he had done an entire 16 jumping jacks. Satchas smiled, he had done it.
Class Instructions: Look in the Races thread in the "World of Below" subforum and find a historical figure! Post a small RP response (100 words) with your Freshling stating who the figure is, and what it was they did! As well as why they chose that person. Submission: Satchas turned happily to the part in the book labeled "fae". He was a fay, why not learn about them, and find a fay to really look up to. Satchas searched the chapter a few times, and his mouth formed a frown. There was no one here. No fay were considered great or important? No fay were noteworthy or special? Satchas felt a pit in his stomach, and hastily put the book back. He was also half dryad, so he picked up a book on that. Satchas felt relief flood through him. There were dryads, and they were noteworthy and did important things. He could do so as well. Maybe, maybe he would be the first fay to become noteworthy and have his name in a book!
Class Instructions: Generate a random number between 1 and 118. The higher you get, the better you did! Submission: Satchas had trouble with science. See, he wanted to learn the arts, the beauty, and the amazing things that set others at awe in the world. Things that others had already done, already proven are true or just so, why should he peruse that? Its already been done! No Satchas wanted to make things to make people feel. Facts didnt really make others feel anything, so he neglected him. The little nightmare was a little embarrassed with his score, but that was okay. He was going for the arts, not the silly facts.
Class Instructions: Hunter's Jubilee is upon us! Juniors will write a short essay of at least 150 words about what the celebrations of Hunter's Jubilee mean to them. Does their family celebrate it, or was it something new to them when they moved to Asphodel Gardens? Why is it important for us to celebrate all kinds of love? Submission: Plein did not like this prompt. Not at all. He sighed, and pulled out a pencil to start writing. He wasn't really sure what to write about, or rather, who. In the end he settled for writing about someone he used to know, but never knew their name. It had been so nice having someone to share books with. The older nightmare, maybe a junior? had given Plein such attention and love, reading to him, telling him about books he could read in the future, it was all so hopeful. When the nightmare graduated, and ended up moving away, Plein was heartbroken.
