Bibbidi smirked as she saw a spider plush that she just could not live without! Scooping it up, she tucked it in her arms in front of her, chasing off little kids with it now and then. Intrigued by the little creature, Babbie snitched up a spider plushie. Maybe she'd give it to one of the kids... or most likely, keep it for herself
Seeing a little flitterrat that seemed a bit worse for wear, hideki carefully scooped it up, cooing to it softly. "don't worry... i'll take care of you..." Apollyon quirked a brow and rolled his eyes at a nearby naga that was coddling a flitterrat "Dude... they aren't babies. They can handle themselves." he chided, scooping one up for himself.
Couldn't turn his mind off...? Well, he did seem to be the sort to have a lot on his mind, though not all of it made sense to Prometheus... not that he minded, it was interesting to hear what Perigor thought even if admittedly sometimes he got a bit... annoyed... with his tendency to speak badly about himself. He'd done his best not to show that too much, since he truly did care for the other boy. "I see..." He trailed off, thinking... They wanted him to see if he could do anything? Would Perigor even want him to do anything? It was worth a shot, anyway. "Eef he will speak to me I will do what I cen to help. I would not blame him eef he were... engry I did not sey enytheeng ebout disappearing." He shrugged just slightly, and the admission that he'd disappeared earned a quizzical look from Xeizii.
Some questions were going to be asked later. "...Are the snows worsening?" He'd only heard bits and pieces from his parents about how things were- they'd stopped consistently writing a few months before they sent Xeizii and even then they were as vague as possible about what was going on at home.
It seemed that flying candy was just a trend this year- Prometheus barely managed to catch two chocolate bats that were thrown his way. He put one into his own pail, then placed the other into Xeizii's.
Scream bars that made you scream... Xeizii decided that he did not want to try it, even if it was realy good... "Somehow I do not theenk that will be a good choice for me..." He laughed lightly, though stopped when Ustule asked about the climate- followed up by Prometheus. It was difficult to say, really. He spent almost all of his time indoors, he just knew that.. things seemed to be getting harder and harder on his parents, less food being brought home, despite two of them staying out later and later with each passing week...
"I theenk eet ees getting ha--rsher... The... plents are not groweeng es well, end the hunts are not es fruitful es they used to be?" He paused to cough a little, earning a slightly concerned look from Prometheus, but continued on. "I get seeck very easily so I... cennot sey I know m--much ebout how theengs are supposed to look outside, but eet was getteeng colder each year. A-- A lot of our neighbors seid goodbye, I theenk they were moveeng closer to the cities." Another paused to breath a bit before continuing on, "Our femily does n--not like the idea of leaveeng our encestrel h-home... So they are tougheeng eet out unteel eet ees safe for us to come beck." Finally he nodded, figuring that would be enough information for them.
Frit grinned at the caretakers, she was dressed up as a dragon. So she could pretend she could fly all night. She growled and pretended to breathe fire as she ran up to her first stop for the night. Frit made funny faces at the strange turnip looking thing she was given, that certainly wasn't candy. Frit ran over to a different booth, a caretaker following her the whole way. She grinned she was going to make sure this caretaker slept well when this was all over. Frit jumped up and down when she saw a catch the fish gab and she got a little wet trying to catch the goldfish.
Muridae: 19 Trick! Plushie!
Muridae heard the ringing of the doorbell and steadied herself to open the door. The children lowered their treat bags to their sides and looked up at the silhouette of the woman in the doorway. There must of been a dozen of them, from toddler to lanky teenager disguised in capes, hoods and coats. Clutched in their small hands, flashlights glowed through plastic skull or pumpkin covers. There was a low murmur of young voices, muffled by their masks. Muridae stepped back from the doorway. For just a moment, she felt a heaviness in her chest at having so many unknown people all in front of her, but it passed and she was able to pass out her ready bowl of candy. As she closed the door and stopped to catch her breath, she noticed that someone had left her a plush rabbit.
Stachys: 16 Treat! Plushie!
Stachys was delighted to be running amok, his little wings flapping in the breeze as he raced ahead to the nearest house, proudly holding up his bucket for a goodie. When no one answered the door, he shrugged it off, nothing could kill his mood! He turned to leave and spotted a box sitting next to the door, labelled "Take Some". He peered closer and spotted a slew of stuffed and wooden creatures, but settled on a bright pink cat and... that one in the back was weird, but it's weirdness was adorable. Maybe he could give it to his classmates? He stuffed that into his bucket too. After all, the sign didn't say just one, right?
Eudica: 5 Trick! Pet!
Eudica was really happy, she wasn't in town the last time there was a treat or treating festival. So this was the first she was the first one she was able to experience since she was a little freshling. She was thrilled she kinda wanted to grab a trick or treating bucket and go trick or treating, but she felt that would be a little silly. So instead she grabbed a trick or treating bucket just for the fun of it to carry around the different booths with her since she really didn't need a lantern tonight. She picked out a cute orange bucket then she went to go look and see what games there were to play. Eudica a picked a simple lollipop game and she picked one with a black bottom. She was given a strange trick item some sort of bone skull neat. Eudica smiled and put it in her bucket. She went over to a catch the bat game, there were toy bats fluttering up by a fan and she took a net and caught one. She picked out an adorable plushie as her prize.
Abrus: 14 Treat!
He didn't mind wandering around on a night like this. He was smiling and waving to his classmates as he picked up a bucket and a lantern. He couldn't help but flirt a little with the girl who was giving out the buckets. He winked and asked for her number, but then the girl's father pushed his way in. "I don't care what this holiday is about, you get a trick, and stay away from my baby girl!" Whoa! Protective parent alert! "I got a rock?" He blinked, looking into his bag. But as an apology, when her father wasn't looking, the girl slipped Abrus a plush as well.
Deciding to extend her break, Adelinde lay back in the grass and watched the night sky. The lights from the fair combined with the starlight made for a pleasant glow.

Settling Tansy more comfortably on her shoulder, Coralie almost missed the second wisp that had joined the first in a sort of aerial dance. Watching, she smiled and shook her head. More wisps. Ashlynn was never going to stop teasing her.
As she watched the wisps, she completely missed the box of raisins that was slipped into her pail.
Quote:
Before Ashlynn could tease Coralie about her wisp collection, a rather large and quite fluffy orange cat approached her and mewled entreatingly. Glancing over the cat, Ashlynn saw that someone had tried to stick various bits of junk tot he poor thing's fur. Bending down, she carefully removed an overly stick bit of green gummie poo from the cat's side and made a disgusted noise. What was wrong with people that they thought doing harm to a poor animal was funny.

Zahneel knew that tone. Silently cursing Eliza's parents for being so restrictive, she held the cone where her friend would be able to pick up the sweet scent.
"Well, you're going to try at least a bite. That much can't hurt you," she said in a cheerfully wheedling voice. Noting how Eliza's hands were busy holding her new pet up, Zahneel tore a shred from the cotton candy and blushing hotly, held it up to Eliza's mouth.
"Open up," she murmured. "You're hands are full and I don't want anyone getting hurt."
Perhaps if she'd been blushing less, she would have noticed the tiny, angry ghost being slipped into her bucket.

The tall imp happily accepted the lollipop as an older, rather twinkly imp handed it over.
"Those were made fresh for tonight. YOu go enjoy, honey."
"I will. Thanks!"

Taking themselves off to where they wouldn't be in the way, Gilby simply played with their new rat and waited until it was time to meet back up with their parents.
Eyeig the cat warily, Hamish turned his attention to the game and allowed himself to be blindfolded. Maybe she was a near stranger, but he felt like he could trust Atlas.
Allowing his arm to be guided, he threw the darts and then removed his blindfold. The nightmare running the game was smiling as she passed over a plush and cotton candy. Accepting both, Hamish turned shyly to Atlas and held the plush out.
"For you. To help apologize. We can share the candy too, if you want."
Lolo glanced over at her brother with sheer adoration in her eyes. How nice to him to offer to help! Passing the spider plush over, she decided that they would share carrying duties.
"You carry him for a little and then we can trade off. And while you're carrying, I'll help win things for you."
"Anywhere that you wish, My Prince," Rhulain answered demurely. And it was true enough. She was more than happy to go where he did. Besides, it just gave her more opportunity to watch over him and threaten grievous bodily harm to anyone who bothered him! Really, it was a win-win situation for all involved.
Claudette How had they managed to drag her out here? She had no clue. All she saw was little rugrats and adult alike running around, trying to get their grubby hands on candy while she stood next to a tree, dodging the traffic and holding the bucket Stevie had forced on her. She sighed, and a tell-tale 'plunk' had her looking into her bucket, grimacing at the candy and looking around, failing to spot the culprit. Half-tempted to toss it, she took it out and got a strong whiff of the sugary candy and rethought her initial plan. Making sure no one was looking, she slipped it into the pocket of her skirt, knowing that if Stevie saw, they would make a big fuss over nothing. Which it was.
Adam Adam was delighted to be running amok, his little wings flapping in the breeze as he raced ahead to the nearest house, proudly holding up his bucket for a goodie. Maybe he could give it to Claudette? He stuffed that into his bucket too. After all, the sign didn't say just one, right?
Stevie Watching Adam from a close distance, Stevie couldn't help but laugh at the child's antics. They were enjoying this just as much as the small Fallen was. As Adam ran back towards them, they turned and headed back in the direction of Claudette, who was sure to be pouting somewhere out of the way. However, brushing under the low-reaching limbs of a tree, something fell off the branch overhead, and Stevie looked up to see dozens of little ghosts decorating the limbs. They reached down and picked up the fallen straggler, seeing that the string was much too short to put it back up, and decided to stick it into the bucket they were carrying. They could always return it later... before they could have another thought, Adam had tossed somethign else into the bucket right on top of the ghost, and before Stevie could ask, Adam was pointing in the distance and running off to Claudette. Wanting to catch up [in case Adam fell... again...] Stevie merely glanced at was in his bucket and shrugged it off as a gift from the child. Knowing Adam, it was something given to him from the event anyway, he was trustworthy.
That Nezubat came flying out of nowhere and smack into the Baphomet face. Normally Bailey wasn't really the type to laugh at another's misfortune, but he was simply amazed by Damien's reaction to it all. That screech and then just seconds after prying the bat from his face he was acting as if it had never happened. Of course the sudden noise had also caused Lori to scream as well. It wasn't very often that Bailey didn't startle, but Lori did. He would just think of it as karma doing it's job.
"I haven't really gotten all that lucky yet myself" He was still catching his breathe after laughing so much. Ah, darn little nezubats flying out of nowhere. He was making sure Lori was okay as well, but much like Damien she seemed to be back to normal already. Seriously, how could anyone handle such a fright so...passively? He turned away from her just as Marrow appeared in front of him. He had to admit that the act wasn't fooling him, but just as he was about to roll his eyes and say something it became attack of the nezubat act 2.
"Ahhhh!" Bailey flailed and fell to his side when it smacked into his face. Oddly perfect timing if had had wanted to be freaked out by Marrow in some say. That thing was really tangled in his hair and clinging to his horn. Ugh, why was karma out to get him?!
Lori wasn't startled by Damien's noise. Oh no, she had simply wanted to add to it. How often did you find a perfectly good excuse to just scream your heart out? Unfortunately for those around her she had a very, good in her opinion, high-pitched screech. Once Damien got ahold of himself she giggled for a bit, before putting on a straight face when Bailey looked in her direction. She was doing her best to hide the fact that she could see Marrow approaching them. She knew he was up to no good. Someone applaud her for keeping a straight face now, please!
Things got even more chaotic when suddenly Bailey was on the ground, wrestling with a Nezubat in his hair. However, she had decided to play along with Marrow. "Oh my goodness, Marrow what happened to you?!" She skipped the few steps over to her friend and brushed some pretend dust off of his shoulders. "There, much better! OH. Marrow, this is Damien. And Damien this is Marrow." She somehow just realized what amazing thing she had done! She had two friends! And those friends were meeting through her! Progress had been made! Meanwhile it looked like Bailey was still fighting a loosing battle with a Nezubat.
Eliza's head tilted as she smelled the sweet scent of the sugar, arching her body slightly towards Zahneel and parting her mouth to accept the good. It melted within her mouth at an alarming rate, tendrils flickering slightly as she gave a surprised head tilt. It was delicious, but gone all too soon.
"Is it supposed to melt that fast?" She questioned softly, shifting her new friend higher into her arms.

Tomoe instantly nodded. The city was frightening, but.... He needed to start somewhere, honestly, and he truly did want to understand their culture more then anything. Tomoe caught Neptune's eyes, turning his own to the rat.
"I don't mind." It was a weird phrase coming from him. His opinions never mattered until now, and it was strange his words could weigh a decision. He mattered in this instance, and with these people.
He flinched when something came whizzing at Neptune, instantly snapping his head to try and find who had dared done the thing. Instead, he heard a loud, shrill scream, head snapping towards the sound to see...
A familiar color. He froze. unable to make out the entire form of the pale kumiho. It couldn't be her. Did she like these things? He was just paranoid! It probably was a similar colored kumiho! Yeah!

She had been glad he accepted the blindfold. The noises around her would have been far too overwhelming if she had done it. She gave soft, encouraging cheers as he played/she guided him, leaning back once he had won to congratulate him. Instead, he held a plushie out to her, causing her tail to wiggle ever so faintly.
"Thank you." She gently murmured, accepting the toy and holding it gently to her chest. The candy she wasn't too interested in, but it seemed a shame to call this encounter over and just leave. Maybe she could spend some more time with him. "If you'd share with me that'd be wonderful." Her voice was hesitant and delicate. She nodded towards a nearby bench.
"Would you like to sit with me?"

Maple blinked at the teenager, eyes trailing to the bat. What was it with the festival encouraging stray animals to just lay on people and candy? Wasn't that a health risk? Her eyes trailed to the tails, rapidly flicking away. Ah. A kumiho, the newcomers.
"That's good." Excellent communication skills.

Oh! She was glad she hadn't gone home yet, because she had found a sweet little revenant. Plucking them delicately up, Cherie wiped off dirt off their face, giving them a soft kiss.

Anyone can interact with her.
Then she'd meet them! He had been about to move when her hand touched his, his fingers spreading to immediately accept hers. His cheeks flushed, tail wagging ever so faintly. Pretty lady! Pretty Raleka! Holding his hand! His! Of all people!
His head turned slightly as she bent over, watching her pick up a plushie with curious eyes. Oh, poor thing. Did a child lose it, maybe?
"Oh no. Do you think it belongs to someone, or....?"

She leaned closer to see the phone, nodding faintly. They looked healthy, good. Reaching over to point at the screen, she was about to ask a question when she felt something brush against her leg. Looking down, a soft gasp left her mouth to see a fennekit with stitched eyes.
Who did that?!
"Who would do this?" She muttered softly, bending down to examine the poor thing.

She watched him run his fingers through his hair, large eyes blinking in response. Vain. He had a 67% chance of being someone who liked to talk about themselves, she concluded with the current information. The elf did notice someone drop the lollipop in his pail, far more observant than most. And stiff, which showed as she hadn't moved since he spoke. She spoke clearly at all times, and often came off blunt/robotic, but Shiori was just a quiet and slightly awkward little lady, who happened to be a bit robotic.
"No." She admitted, head trailing down to look at her snuggling cat. She'd need to buy food bowls on the way home. And food. And.... get them shots tomorrow. How overwhelming.
"You were given candy." She announced faintly.

Ah, Emelia was annoying this girl. Typical. She was about to take her leave when ANOTHER cat arrived, dropping..... eyes. A glass eye, but still an eye!
"I saw one earlier give a pile of bones to someone...." She murmured in slightly horror, distracted immediately by her own cat now IN her pail, causing her arm to give slightly.
"Ah, you're not bothering me, I just - get out of there! - have a hard time socializing." She admitted, trying to shoo the cat attached to her out of the pail to no avail.

Maria nodded softly to her boyfriend.
"They are. And usually kind, too." With this, she smiled at the rat before lowering her pail, nodding to the side. She hadn't noticed Tomoe's panicked stare to the side, mostly because she had grown used to his rather frightened stares at everything that made a tiny peep.
"I think that'd be nice, showing him around. Maybe we can stop at the ice cream parlor after."

He accepted the plushie duty in delight, nodding in response. After she had spoken he went to work picking out another game, eventually locking eyes on a horse racing game. Use a water gun, hit a bullseye, and make the horse run. They could do that together!
"Lets try that!" He squeaked, nodding towards the game before nudging Lolo with his shoulder, rushing off to the game.

His cheeks heated at her words, nervously nodding. Anywhere HE wanted? So much pressure! He needed to decide their next activity, and hopefully whatever he picked impressed Rhulain. Wait, why did he want to impress her? Because she was kind to him? Because they were friends, maybe? Oh gosh, stop worrying! His eyes locked on a fake haunted house, heart hammering. It looked terrifying! But it might excite her, maybe?
"W-what about that?" He whispered, using his free hand to point at the house.

OH! A present from Eilwen?! He perked up, a bright smile touching his face as he accepted her gift.
"Thank you! I love them!" And he did! He'd need to make sure he got her something in return! Maybe a cute plushie, or jewelry if there were any. He had forgotten to get a pail, something he'd need to do soon, so he held onto the plushie gently, gaze caught by Eilwen's little brother. His wings fluffed at the plushie shown to him, face breaking into excitement.
"Oh wow! That's so cool!" And creepy, but hey, the kid liked it! "What else did you get so far? Is there something in particular you're trying to get? Maybe I can help!"

Treats: Day One: 3 Day Two: 3 Day Three: 3 Day Four: 3 Total = 12
Khalil could play along with Thomas all day, but joined in the laughter when it was all done. That was one thing that had always made them good friends and of course, not their relationship was at an all new level. It just made it all the more fun. Khalil was a little worried that maybe Sidhe was keeping some things bottled up. It had been a tough semester in school, but somehow they were all pulling through and adjusting to this new world.
He hooked his arms between his partners and looked at them each in turn. "I say it's about time we have some fun, why not try out a haunted house? We could do a tamer one if one of you is too easily spooked." He gave them a wink and then led them off in search of an appropriate haunted tour. Honestly he wasn't that big of a fan of super spooky things himself, but it gave him an excuse to cuddle up with Thomas and Sidhe. As they wanted around his pail continued to get more weighed down by tricks and a plushie.
'Fwuhuhuhu~" Foras just laughed at his mention of the challenge. Honestly a part of him was really, really hoping that a scary haunted house would bring them closer together. It was a pretty typical date move, in his opinion. Surely it wouldn't be that bad right? You had to except the scares in a haunted house, which meant he'd be totally fine inside of one? Hopefully. He didn't mind the idea of hopping into Ganymede's arms either though!
"When I have my mind set on something, I can set some serious goals! But, well, you know that already." He smiled and wrapped an arm around Gany's shoulders to give him a little squeeze. While he had dated around his junior years he knew all along that there was a certain someone out there that he really had his eyes set on. That was probably why it never worked out in the end with anyone else. Now he was getting an actually chance at his goal! Hopefully this night would go smoothly.
Foras quirked his brows at the mention of his outfit and tried to stifle a little laugh. he wanted so bad to poke back at that, but was worried it might be a little too much for the evening. Just running through the thoughts that popped into his head was too much. "Next year I'll just ask for your help." He had intended for his outfit to be a bit silly though, he certainly didn't have the skills to make anything that fantastic all on his own.
He led Gany around some more, keeping an arm over his friend's shoulder. Hey, he knew he had a good looking 'friend' okay. Then he spotted it! Someone had obviously worked pretty hard to throw together this particular spooky house and it definitely seemed to be attracting a lot of nightmares and daydreams. Yes, score! "How about this one? Looks like a great scare!" Of course he wouldn't drag Gany into it if he didn't want to!
