Darrah made a face at Nasrin. "You're so weird," he said and wandered over to the next booth. The gum he got from it was... gross to say the least. But at least he got a plushie to go with it.
Nasrin just shrugged at Darrah's proclamation of his weirdness. "I know. So what? I like being me," he said and plucked a dark red cotton candy from a stand, dropping change onto the counter.

Hadrian was just about to go to another booth to try again when he felt something brush up against his leg. "Well, hi there," he said and bent down. When he held out his hand to pet the vespercat, it spit out a broken glass eyeball into his hand. "Gross. Thanks."

Ylli smiled as he wandered over to a trick or treat booth. He giggled a little as he won a big bag of caramel eyeballs! They were delightfully creepy and yet extremely tasty at the same time!
A scream bar, huh? Naosu deemed it best to leave that be, in case it did anything that might frighten the children. She did squeak when she found herself enveloped in a hug. The squeak gave way to a giggle a moment later, realizing who had snagged her. "T'kani! You startled Naosu!"
Startled by the stranger showing up, Essei didn't notice the creepy doll or plushie being put into her pail. She looked up at T'kani and her scooped up nephew and chewed on her hand, wondering what was going on.
Ichiru had just been investigating the creepy turnip in his pail when he found himself scooped up. His eyes widened in surprise, but he mostly just dangled and accepted his fate, especially when he heard his mother laugh and identify the grabber. It was the fluffy person. Okay. Maybe he could convince his mother to take the leash off now.
A tissue ghost. Well, at least this wasn't liable to make him exclaim in public, though he eyed the angry looking thing dubiously before he dropped it into his pail and tried not to draw attention to himself again even though he was starting to get really curious about the games.

T'kani smirked and kissed Naosu on the cheek, and Ichiru on the forehead, holding them tight for another moment before letting them go and setting the smaller Fey down. She glanced at the other small Fey, tilting her head slightly. They seemed to be tagging along with the two Fey that she knew, but the Imp had never seen them before, and likewise the poor kid didn't seem to know what to make of her either. Well, she didn't have a problem with more cuties, but there might be an introduction in order. She signed a short question to the older Fey to start things off, hopefully. Who's the other little one?

Naosu smiled happily to see her friend while Ichiru wiggled a bit, looking a bit icked at the kiss he got. He liked hugs, but kisses were eeew. Still, his mother had told him it hurt her feelings when he wiped kisses off right away and he didn't want to upset T'kani either, so he was careful about getting the cooties off.
"Essei, this is Naosu's friend, T'kani." Naosu said. "T'kani, meet Naosu's little sister, Essei." She smiled as if she'd conjured the child up herself. "Naosu's parents adopted her a few months ago, but Naosu never had the chance to introduce you before now.
"Hello." Essei said, smiling to T'kani and only looking a bit shy. "My big sister never told me she was friends with someone so fluffy! You look soft, are you soft?"
"She's definitely soft." Ichiru said. "She's really cool, even if her voice doesn't work." He didn't notice Naosu's look of disapproval.
Aurelia smiled and giggled a bit as it seemed her laughter helped make Meadow feel better about hitting her with the stuffed toy. It hadn't actually hurt at all, given the toy was so soft. "I don't think it was attacking me, actually. If anything it's laughing at how it tricked us." She smiled when he mentioned the name. "Yeah, I like that; your name is now Trixie." She giggled and the wisp's glow seemed to fluctuate as though it were laughing as well. Aurelia had dropped her bucket and was picking it up when Meadow offered his hand, taking it when she had gathered all her things. "Ooooh, I wonder if it's gonna be spooky themed?" She mused out loud when someone in a dark coat dropped something into her bucket as they passed by. She looked down to see what was, without a doubt, the creepiest turnip in the world. She picked it up and looked at it with a confused expression. "Well, I hope it's nothing like this." She showed it to Meadow and giggled when she heard something moving in her bucket. She looked down at it in time to see the head of a flitterat poke out of the candy and trinket haul, blinking its little eyes and twitching its whiskers at Aurelia. "Awwww, how cute! When did you get in there?" She had put the turnip away in the bucket, making sure not to accidentally drop it on the flitterat before she took Meadow's hand again.
Iolanthe was still recovering from the dizzy of the revolving tunnel when she saw someone passing out sample candies to kids. "Here ya go, sweetie, try this Scream Bar! Chocolate so good it'll make ya scream, guaranteed!" He winked at her as he handed her a full-sized bar, Io thanking him with a shy smile. She opened it curiously and bit a corner of it; it was actually really good....and suddenly.."THIS IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE I'VE EVER PUT IN MOUTH!!" She gasped and covered her mouth, eyes wide with shock; how was she so loud?! The sample man grinned at her as other kids who were eating them followed suit. "Told ya it was guaranteed." He winked and chuckled before moving on.
Kohaku felt a small rumble in their stomach and decided getting a snack wasn't a bad idea. They smiled once they made sure their familiars were in order and went to one of the food booths offering the candy apples. When they received theirs and paid the vendor smiled and offered the baphomet a little plushie for being customer #150. Kohaku smiled and thanked them with a polite bow of the head before putting it into their bucket.
Chidori was smiling rather brightly as she followed the group she was a part of. She was even starting to twirl around a bit in a dance. She went up to the next house and did the same spooky voice when saying the key phrase, a girl about her age at the door with a bowl of various chocolate bats. She giggled at the kumiho girl and the others, giving out the candy. "Sorry if they're a little melty; the bowl was sitting by the fireplace for a minute." Chidori didn't mind at all. If anything, the melting chocolate might just make it better. She picked up the bat she was given and bit into it; it was softened and the delicious sweetness oozed on her lips and fingers a bit. Yep. This was definitely better melty.
Frit was delighted to be running amok, her little wings flapping in the breeze as she raced ahead to the nearest house, proudly holding up her bucket for a goodie. When no one answered the door, she shrugged it off, nothing could kill her mood! She turned to leave and spotted a box sitting next to the door, labelled "Take Some". She peered closer and spotted a slew of stuffed and wooden creatures, but settled on a bright pink cat and... that one in the back was weird, but it's weirdness was adorable. Maybe she could give it to her friend? She stuffed that into her bucket too. After all, the sign didn't say just one, right?
Muridae: 14 Treat!
She had never been trick or treating before. This time of year, the hybrid usually found herself neck deep in books, reading stories, studying... she didn't socialize much when she was younger. But now she found herself wanting to spend some time with her friends. She entered the park to look for a familiar face. One of the vendors called her over, offering her a basket. She tried to politely decline, but the man insisted, and Muridae ended up with a bright pink plastic bucket. She did, however, also pick up a lantern. It was dark, and it was probably a good idea to have one. Before she left the booth, the man gave her a treat. She wasn't exactly sure what this was for, but the little ghost thing was... rather cute. She wanted to hang it in her dorm window.
Stachys: 20 Treat!
Stachys was with a group of other freshlings, all of the children chatting amongst eatch other. There was talk of candy, costumes, and surprising tricks! The dryad joined in on the conversation, stating that he wanted to be a palm tree for the candy collecting event. The other kids giggled at Stachy's decision, but the boy was not detoured. After class he cut out some big palm leaves from construction paper, obtained a nice set of brown pants and shirt, and put his costume together. The boy looked in the mirror, proud of what he had accomplished. With that the boy went out to collect the candy he was working so hard for.
Eudica: 5 Trick! Pet!
Eudica had been sitting through class, her face devoid of any emotion, as was the norm. The elf was trying to get through the last half hour of math class, but her mind was wondering. Suddenly another student nudged her and passed her a piece of paper. The elf, seeing no name on it, and being curious herself, opened the paper. In bad handwriting there was a question, "Trick or Treat? After class, outside under the big tree." Eudica raised an eyebrow. Yes, she supposed she could go along with whatever this thing was, but she would not break her cool demeniour. While the girl left to go to the restroom, another tactic for helping to kill the last half hour of class that felt like days as the boring teacher droned on, she found something stuffed into her bag once she got back to desk. Eudica discreetly peered into the bag and made a face. Who gave her this weird doll?
Abrus: 19 Trick! Plushie!
Trotting happily through rows of booths and clusters of trick or treaters, Abrus found himself inhaling the chill, spice scented air. Really, this was absolutely one of his favorite times of the year. The costumes, the games, the treats... It was all so wonderful. And to think, he mused silently as he took a turn at the pitching game, there are races around that had never experienced this before. Really, it boggled the mind a little bit! he came back to the present as the imp in charge of the game smiled and handed him a little ghostie treat. Smiling back, he turned to find another game to play when he tripped slightly over a seemingly discarded plushie.
Karasu and chons went trick or treating together now that all the other kids had returned home to there families . but kyra remained, protective watching over the hallowed children. with a smile on her face"trick or treat" they called out together.
Karasu got a trick again, he frowned but shrugged it off. he would get better items later on he thought. chons had resived a yummy orange candy apple. seeing karasu had gotten a candle he split his apple in half and shared it with him
Gilly had no intention of quitting this night anytime soon. Despite the bumps here and there, it was shaping up to be so much fun! She was glad she had a friend to share it with; she would never say anything to her, but she sometimes thought to herself that she wouldn't have had the courage to lose the caretakers all on her own without someone there to be the more sensible one. She saw a brightly lit house and happily walked up to it, knocking on the door and giving her best "Happy Haunted Hallows!" She gasped in delight as a grinning Fey gave her a candy skull that looked like one big colorful lump of sugar. Boy was THAT going to taste good later!
Zoe followed along diligently, nibbling on her candy apple, when she saw an elderly Litch looking around with a rather sour expression, as though she would rather be anywhere else than in the middle of a celebration. Maybe she had gotten lost? Zoe approached her and tentatively tugged at her skirt. "Excuse me ma'am-" The wrinkled head whirled around with surprising speed and fixed her with rheumy, unfriendly eyes. "Want a treat, do ya? Just like every other spoiled little brat in this place. Well here; now beat it!" She dropped something lumpy and smelling vaguely of compost in Zoe's pail and limped off crossly, muttering to herself. Zoe stood there puzzled for a full minute before reaching in to pull out the object. The smell became stronger, and the evil, sickly face on the turnip caused her to let out a little cry of fright, dropping it back in with a nauseous thud. She quickly caught up to Gilly, her tail-tip poofy from the scare, which did not go unnoticed by the Fey. "Aww, don't be scared, little one; this is all in fun!" She reached behind her and pulled something out, booping Zoe's nose with it before placing it just inside her pail so that it's head was peeking out. Zoe gasped when she saw what it was. "Gilly! It's a spider plushie, just like yours!"
After two disappointing things in a row, Ruari was ready for some treats again. He got his wish at another door, where a Naiad was wanting to go to sleep early and was all but throwing the remainder of his candy at passersby. Snatching up a promising-looking bag of caramel eyeballs, he 'eyed' them with a grin before dropping them into his pail.
Vanna was a little concerned that Mai had just clocked some one in the face, but he would have done it himelf if he had free hand... that and with their age difference It wouldnt do for an Adult to hit a kid no matter how much they deserved it. Yeah it was definitely better that Mai had punched him.
“Hmmm the little guy seems okay. I think I rescued him just in time but I’ll bring him to my vet tomorrow.” Vanna replied having finally calmed the little guy down. It felt weird to be accepting plushie from gratitude, but the little freshling insisted and showed Vanna he had at least Seven more. The nezubat grabbed it and latched on to it from Vanna’s arms. Hmmm could he really say it was added to his sudden plushie collection?
Mai brought herself back to the present and watched as the kid scampered away. Good, maybe next time he would think before hurting a poor little animal. Come to think of it what was it with Vann saving Nezubats. Her brother had always seemingly had a way with them… well them and vespercats, it was still surprising that he only had one. She let out a sigh of relief when Kingston asked how the nezubat was doing and Vanna thought it was fine. She’d hunt that brat down again if he had done any serious damage…
“It’s times like this where I’m sad we only seemingly get flowers during Hunter’s Jubuliee and the spring ball. Ren is right though, the people in this town and at the academy sure like throwing things. I’m just glad they’re only throwing plushies. Last festival I went to they were throwing gemstones.” Mai replied with a sigh as Kingston saved her from a flying plushie. “My hand… oh no its fine. Well it’s kind of throbby and sort of hurts but it’ll go away soon."
“Gotta love Below Traditions and their throwing of the plushies” Ren stated still watching over the familiars. They were getting kind of worked up at the energy of the crowd, but Ren kept them all at his side. He was still smiling though. Looking out for other people and animals was just sooo Mai. It was times like that when she seemingly forgot she was supposed to be shy, although he didn’t think she had ever gotten that angry before. Then again a helpless little familir wasn’t getting picked on and tormented either. What was it about Haunted Hallows that brought this out in people. Sure it was seemingly the time for tricks but still…
He watched as Kingston went over towards Mai. Truth be told Ren was a little jealous Kingston got to check her hand but he’d live. He was starting to see that Kingston could and would just worry over people or at least friends.
“well you know. Years of practice” Salem stated, “but you seemed happy with your win and that’s what matters. I suppose.” Well to most people. In Salem’s case, you didn’t enter if you weren’t in it to win, but then again Salem definitely wasn’t normal. “Yeah we can that next I gu-” He trailed off as Nashira was suddenly bothered by a wisp. It reminded him of his own wisp. He really should apologize again to Bebe. He had accidentally run into them when he was out and made a mess of things, actually from then on was kind of a mess of things.
Salem turned having heard the sounds of Nashira about to fall but he had stepped on something and barely held on to his own balance… it was a plushie? Hmmm death by plushie, that would be a sad way to go.
Nashira slowly sat on her knees. She looked up at the wisp who was flickering merrily. She just sighed and shook her head. "At least this plush broke my fall." She picked up the colorful skeleton plush she had fallen on, then looked up at Salem. "Is this attack of the plushies or something?" She got to her feet and dusted herself off. She realized that when she stood up, she took a rock with her. Whatever. she put it in her bucket along with the plushie.
"Are you ok, Salem?"
Kingston:
"Well, it looks like the little guy couldn't have found a better family then you." Kingston nodded. "And they've got their own bodyguard, right, Mai?" He teased. "You looked to throw a really hard punch." He smiled. "Come on, we shouldn't hang around here." He looked over at Ren. "You look like you've got your hands full. I think all this is upsetting all the familiars." Of course, it was upsetting to people too. So he urged them to continue down the hall with him to get them away from the crowd. "They aren't just throwing plushies now..." He carefully pulled what looked like poo, but was made of gummy candy, out of his hair. "Gross..."
Vega:
Vega sat down on the grass with his bucket. He dug around for something to eat, and pulled out a box of raisins. BLECH! When did those get in there? Well... he was hungry, so he might as well eat something. He glanced around and saw a jackalope plush near by, and got an idea. He pulled out all of his plushies and set them up in a circle around him like he was having a dinner party.
Meadow:
"So you're sure you're alright?" He said after Aurelia picked up all her things and put them back in her bucket. "Hmmmm... Do you think it will be spooky themed? I can't imagine how they would make food spooky. Unless we're going to have eyeball soup and chilled brains. Actually that could be kind of cool. And OH! Those little tiny hotdog wieners? Wrap them up in a crescent roll and call them flaky fingers! In fact, they're be as creepy as this doll!" He he held up a rather creepy looking doll. "Hm... I don't know if I like this thing that much." He put it in his bucket. "Wait, where did this come from?" He picked up an aqua and purple bat plushie.
Charon:
Ok, there had to be something seriously wrong here. Why were all these weird rocks getting put in his basket. It was starting to get REALLY heavy...
Keahi:
Keahi saw a bunch of people walking around with various familiars. She thought about her own familiars who were supposed to be asleep in her room. As she was walking, she almost stepped in a pile of p- wait, was that candy? It sort of reminded her of her slime familiar...
Parfait:
Woo hoo! This was a lot of fun! Someone had just handed Parfait a jar of green slime. She giggled, wondering what to do with it. Maybe she could put it in her hair and be a slime creature! Or or or hand prints on her window in her room? She was bouncing in place thinking about what to do with this wonderful treasure when there was a short screech near by. She looked up, and in the tree branches above her head was a nezubat. "HELLO!" She waved. "You look a lot like me! Do you want to be friends?" She waved to the bat. It shrieked a second time and took off, circling around her head before landing on her shoulder a moment. "YAY! NEW FRIENDS!" She started running around again.
Fiona:
Fiona walked up to a booth and held up her bag. "Trick or treat?" She asked softly. It seemed to startle the person running the game and they knocked something off the table and into her bucket. "Thank you." She whispered and looked at the glass eye that was in her bucket. That was... maybe a little disappointing.
While her family was busy, Cookie slipped away to find where the sound of a meow was coming from. She was so happy -- especially for her -- to have found the source. What a pretty kitty!
