Ryker went ahead and bought himself another key chain before the girls came back. "Aww isn't that sweet?" he said when he caught sight of Effie carrying her sister back to him.
"Yeah, daddu, real sweet. Little monster crashed," she said with a smile. They might be annoying, but she adored all of her siblings. Even the ones that didn't come from either of her parents. "Can you take her, she's heavy for such a little thing!"
Parfait barely even registered the switch from being carried by her sister to her father. She just snuggled down into his fur and went right back to sleep.

Aurelia was so into her food and feeding the necessary hunger that craved something other than candy (Nine forbid) that she didn't notice someone dropped a crystal ball into her bucket.
Iolanthe saw the cutest bracelet at one of the trinket stands and couldn't help herself, buying it and immediately wearing it. She loved the colors.
Kohaku was given another box of raisins, which they didn't mind because it meant more treats for Raisin.
Chidori was enjoying her treats and even the little tricks so much, just happy to experience something different than tradition....or perhaps a newer, more modern tradition. Someone was giving out these strange little figurines on small chains, so she took one that looked the cutest to her.
Yaruka had volunteered to take a group of freshlings around for their trick-or-treating before setting them loose (yet still monitored) on the festival. She enjoyed seeing the kids so excited and showing off what they got to one another. Ultimately she did plan to go do something that was more for others her age, dressed up as she was to look like a flamenco dancer. One of the freshlings was afraid to approach a house alone so she went with them for support, smiling as she tried to encourage them to have fun while they received their treats (well, raisins weren't exactly a treat but it could have been worse.)
Darrah was about to call it quits, buying himself a drink before he left when another flitterat landed on his opposite shoulder. "Hmm? Ahh, hi there. Now I've got two of you," he laughed. Seeing Nasrin out of the corner of his eye, he sighed. He supposed it was time to go.
Nasrin paused in his search for Darrah to buy himself a cute little teddy bear key chain. With the critter dangling from his finger, he jogged to catch up with his friend. "Ready to go home?" he asked.

She really was enjoying her time with Salem. It was a lot of fun. She was excited to go check out the costume contest, but paused when suddenly she was given another plushie.

Kington gave pause for a moment, thinking about the events of the evening. He was glad he saw Vanna, and even happier to have met Mai and Ren. Really, that was the greatest treat of all. He glanced to his shoulder where he had a revenant hanging off him, and then down to his blind little fennekit. Somewhere his wisp was hanging around. Yup. Everything was awesome.
Vega had so many plushies, it was wonderful. As he was looking around, his fennekit pushed a new plush against Vega's leg. It was cute! He took it and put it in his bucket. "You can play with it when we get home." He nodded.
Meadow:
It was good to not talk with your mouth full, and as he and Aurelia fell into silence to eat, Something climbed up into Meadow's lap. He glanced down to see an unusual flitterat. While Aurelia wasn't looking, he slipped the familiar a little piece of broccoli. It took it happily and nibbled on it. Now he knew what to do with his veggies!
Charon:
There were so many lights at the festival, that Charon almost missed a small light that seemed to be following him. It wasn't until he turned and very nearly walked into one of those lights that he realized a wisp had been following him around.
Keahi:
Wandering around, Keahi found a strange booth. All the lights seemed to be out, and no one was in there. Curious, they peeked in over the countertop. Behind the counter, there was a little flitterat. It stared up at them. when Keahi lowered their arm, the familiar jumped up and climbed up their arm.
Parfait:
Man, everything about this festival was just so cool. She was having a lot of fun, and she had a new friend, and there was so much candy! As she was skipping along, she saw a pair of eyes staring at her. What was that? "Come on out, don't be afraid." Parfait knelt down and held her hand out. The thing didn't move. She inched closer, and found out it was a rock. But it wasn't just a rock. this rock had eyes! It was watching her every move! "You're coming home with us, ok? Good."
Fiona:
Fiona was taking a break by a fountain. She hummed to herself, eating some cotton candy.
Huh. Four Nights at Floppy's keychains. It wasn't his kind of game--way too terrifying--but he'd heard enough about it to emphasize with the hookhanded fox character, who apparently preferred to hide most of the time.
A fake seer's crystal ball! It looked pretty cool, and Runaldi squealed happily. She would have fun pretending to predict the future and maybe she could creep people out with it too!
He wasn't sure how candy could be floss, but here it was and it tasted pretty good. He offered some to Shisume, who was still recovering from the vespercat startling her, the familiar of which seemed to be trying very hard to win her over.
Shisume quietly shook her raisins, since she liked the sound it made and it seemed to entertain the vespercat following her around. She offered some of the candyfloss her brother had given her, but it wasn't interested. More for her, she guessed.
The next house also brought wonderful things--more plushies! This time Aura got another stuffed spider. They figured they now had almost all of the spiders--the only other one they'd seen was pink, and pink is ew. With so many plushies to juggle in their arms, Aura was getting tired again. Mindful of Veddy's request, they turned to their Imp friend. "I'm getting tired," they said. "What say we head back now?"
Zalir couldn't answer the next riddle. Way too hard! So zey deferred it to Chries.
Anchriesel thought about the question for a long time. It was a tough one. "Is it...a soul stone?" he said finally.
"Ding ding ding!" said the vendor. "We have a winner! That's our hardest riddle, so feel free to pick a pet."
Chries blinked, but unhesitatingly pointed to a moon-marked flitterrat. "I'd like that one, please." With his new pet in hand, he turned to Zalir. "Would you like to go home now?" he asked.
Ved's prize had been a candy apple that he was quite looking forward to. Tradition stated that candy is not eaten until you've gotten home and sorted it out, so he nodded. "I think I'm done, too," he said. "What about you, Sound Lee?"
Sound Lee looked down at his latest prize, a bottle of beautiful glowing green stuff. "I think I'm ready to go home now," he murmured.
Frit saw the commotion. There was some sort of thing afoot! The little girl scurried after the other freshlings, doing her best to overhear the other children's conversations. Sure, the imp could just ask one of the other children, but where was the fun in that? No Frit wanted to obtain this information on her own, in her own way. So the imp walked with the crowd, her ears wiggling as she picked up what others were saying. Something about free candy? Something about costumes? It all seemed pretty good to the girl, and she was eagerly joining the commotion. As far as the little imp was concerned, this was the coolest thing ever in the history of ever. She'd joined a small group that was trick or treating the village. At the first house, she dutifully stood near the door and held out her bucket when it opened, remembering to chirrup 'Trick or Treat!' A rather glum looking older baphomet opened the door and dropped stuff into each pail. When Frit stepped back and looked, she saw a pretty rock. But when she reached in to pick it up to study it, a feeling of sadness washed over her. Dropping the rock back into the bucket, she decided that she'd wait to examine it. As the troop marched on to the next house, she fell behind when her attention was caught by a small plush bat stuck in some bushes. Grabbing it quickly, she dropped it into her pail. It was hers now.
Muridae: 5 Trick! Pet!
She had never been trick or treating before. This time of year, the hybrid usually found herself neck deep in books, reading stories, studying... she didn't socialize much when she was younger. But now she found herself wanting to spend some time with her friends. She entered the park to look for a familiar face. One of the vendors called her over, offering her a basket. She tried to politely decline, but the man insisted, and Muridae ended up with a bright pink plastic bucket. She did, however, also pick up a lantern. It was dark, and it was probably a good idea to have one. Before she left the booth, the man gave her a treat. She wasn't exactly sure what this was for, but the little ghost thing was... rather cute. She wanted to hang it in her dorm window. Muridae was really happy, she wasn't in town the last time there was a treat or treating festival. So this was the first she was the first one she was able to experience since she was a little freshling. She was thrilled she kinda wanted to grab a trick or treating bucket and go trick or treating, but she felt that would be a little silly. She was given a strange trick item some sort of bone skull neat. Muridae smiled and put it in her bucket. She went over to a catch the bat game, there were toy bats fluttering up by a fan and she took a net and caught one. She picked out an adorable plushie as her prize.
Stachys: 7 Trick!
Stachys didn't really understand the holiday. He wandered around, looking at all the candies and treats, but wasn't sure what to make of any of this. Someone came and offered them a bucket and a lantern. Stachys looked at the bucket, then up to the person who had given it to them. The stranger tried to shoo Stachys away so they could go gather candy, but all the freshling did was hold up the bucket. "Oh fine! Have a treat. No run along and get lots more candies." More candy? For free? Well, this could be ok. Stachys was with a group of other freshlings, all of the children chatting amongst eatch other. There was talk of candy, costumes, and surprising tricks! The dryad joined in on the conversation, stating that he wanted to be a palm tree for the candy collecting event. The other kids giggled at Stachy's decision, but the boy was not detoured. After class he cut out some big palm leaves from construction paper, obtained a nice set of brown pants and shirt, and put his costume together. The boy looked in the mirror, proud of what he had accomplished. With that the boy went out to collect the candy he was working so hard for.
Eudica: 6 Treat! Plushie!
Eudica was really happy, she wasn't in town the last time there was a treat or treating festival. So this was the first she was the first one she was able to experience since she was a little freshling. She was thrilled she kinda wanted to grab a trick or treating bucket and go trick or treating, but she felt that would be a little silly. So instead she grabbed a trick or treating bucket just for the fun of it to carry around the different booths with her since she really didn't need a lantern tonight. She picked out a cute orange bucket then she went to go look and see what games there were to play. Eudica a picked a simple lollipop game and she picked one with a black bottom. After a little while, Eudica turned and headed to explore the booths of the festival. She picked up a lantern and started looking around the booths to see what there was to do at this event. Eudica frowned as she picked from a grab bag and picked up a strange glowy stone it was really pretty, but it felt so sad.. maybe if she kept it in a box or a glass case it would be ok... In spite of the fact that she knew she should be studying, Eudica couldn't resist the siren song of the Haunted Hallows. Running from her room, she'd thrown herself at the game booths. And for her trouble, she'd won a chocolate bar. It was resting inside of the pail she'd been given and she'd for sure eat it later. But first. Games. All the games.
Abrus: 5 Trick! Pet!
He didn't mind wandering around on a night like this. He was smiling and waving to his classmates as he picked up a bucket and a lantern. He couldn't help but flirt a little with the girl who was giving out the buckets. He winked and asked for her number, but then the girl's father pushed his way in. "I don't care what this holiday is about, you get a trick, and stay away from my baby girl!" Whoa! Protective parent alert! "I got a rock?" He blinked, looking into his bag. But as an apology, when her father wasn't looking, the girl slipped Abrus a plush as well. Abrus loved halloween. It was when his flamboyant attire, and dangerous tricks really got the limelight they deserved. The man was in a bustle this morning, readying his magic tricks, swords, and juggling "severed heads". He was in front of the mirror, applying the gruesome makeup that he was going to wear for the event, when he heard a knock on his door. The Kirin stopped applying the red face paint, and glanced at the door. Who would be bothering him at this hour? When the man opened the door he found a rather pleasant present right on his doorstep. Abrus looked around, the perpetrator was nowhere to be seen, so the kirin grabbed the gift, and hummed to himself. It must have been a secret admirer.
Hiroshi moved toward the next booth, waiting patiently as some children in front of him were goofing off. He just smiled at them and turned to the lady when it was his turn, receiving a little ghost decoration!
Aramina approached the booth, not truly realizing that what she was about to get was going to make her audibly squee. When she got the plushie she danced in place, thanking the person excitedly!
Lilium wasn't quite sure what she was going to do with a spider plush, but she guessed it was kind of cute.
Zynas just smirked at her, noting the small girly qualities that she still had. When he got the skull he just raised a brow and shrugged, putting it into his bucket.
Ashai shuddered slightly when she saw the eyeball in her bucket. It was really kind of creepy and kept making her feel like something was watching her.
Lasia almost laughed at what was supposed to be a creepy doll. If they thought that was creepy they should see some of her toys, now that was creepy!
Affinity waited in the long line for a while, but he accepted the little bat plushie, thanking the person.
Basil was a little confused when they were handed a jar of.... goo? They watched it shift around in the jar for a little bit, mildly amused.
Travesty kept a watchful eye when they got to the next line. It was pretty long, longer than some of the others and he wanted to make sure he kept his sister safe.
Facade watched as Travesty was given a bracelet, she wobbled on her feet, trying her best to see over the table when she was given a bat plushie!
