User Image Crystallize thought long and hard on which city to pick from, deciding on the city of Hyperes in Euros. It was a major demon city, and apparently his mother's ancestors had come from that city. Well, that was at least what Candy had told him, and he was sure his mother wouldn't lie about something so important. However, that isn't why he had picked it out.

It soon became time for Crystallize to present his city, taking a deep breath before speaking ", I chose the city of Hyperes in Euros that is being rebuilt. It is a major city for Demons, which I am a hybrid of. My mother, Candy, even says that is where some of my ancestors are from! However, that is not why I have picked it. I chose this city because it is a place that is starting to rebuild after the war, and shows that no matter how bad the situation, you can always keep going. As the saying goes, when you hit rock bottom there is only one more place to go, and that is up!"

Jacintha knew which government she wanted to do. It was the obvious choice for an imp like herself... the Fey! Well, maybe not the obvious choice for those who didn't know she had been doing research on Canon's people, the Fey, but if one were to walk into her room at the moment it would be covered with tons of articles and books on them. Anyhow, back to the topic at hand!

"I decided to pick the government structure set up by the Fey. In their form of government, they are ruled by a council of both elders and younger adults, the two being even in number. This is meant to bring in as much perspective as possible, not isolating a topic to just one age group. For a law to be passed, the majority must vote for it to pass, 95% to be exact. However, they prefer if it is a unanimous vote. A major law of the Fey is to never hurt another person physically. If someone were to do that, they would become an outcast. The reason I picked the Fey is because I have a special friend who is a Fey, and I want to know as much as I can about his people, since I do not know much about them."

User Image Eun looked at the map, he wanted to go everywhere but it wasn't like he had time to talk about all the places in the below he wanted to go. After living in the village as an unwanted mutant in that little run-down hut. Eun was eager to see what all the below had to offer for adventure. He finally picked An'Chiale and said "I pick An'Chiale, I figure I could explore that city and then plan a trip to go see the city of Auster and see what that place is like. I've never been to any of the cities of the below besides here at school so someday I want to explore them all."

User Image Enju was about as uncertain as Kissy, but he wanted to to be seen as a big boy to the rest of the class, he didn't want to act like a frightened baby. The twins were just being silly. He also hoped that Kissy's answer was enough for them to pass the class. He considered all the races he was made up of and there were a lot in his blood. Humm his siblings hadn't mentioned any chimera cities but he wasn't sure if he wanted to go there. Enju decided to pick Emall and he said "I pick Emall because I figure a mining city would have a lot of pretty stones I could look at and it's a geist city and I'm part geist."

User Image Eisetsu frowned she looked down at the book and up at the map, unsure where she would want to go. She rolled her eyes at her siblings. Such childish answers. She sighed and decided on Zayen at least a hub of manufacturing she might be able to learn something of interest. Eisetsu looked up at the teacher when it was her turn and said. "I would like to visit Zayen, I want to learn everything I can and manufacturing would be something I would like to learn when I'm older." She said simply. Next Eisetsu would find a city that had a library or maybe one of the univerity cities she did want to go to Leviathan University after all.

User Image Wisteria considered the question where would she want to go. Well, Ozryn seemed as good as place as any. It was a resort town so she could likely have a lot of fun there. Exploring the sites and shopping. Wisteria said "I would like to go to Ozryn since it says it's a resort town I figure I could have a lot of fun playing there." She said in a fairly cheerful tone. She also wondered what trouble and pranks she could pull on her future vacation. Wisteria looked around the classroom wondering if she should prank some of the freshlings there.

User Image Natsumi decided to prepare her presentation about the dryad government since she was part dryad but didn't really know anything about dryads. She learned through her research that dryads were divided into many different tribes. Living in different territories. A long time ago each tribe had their own government, but now in modern day they have a shared government. Natsumi then made a poster to take to class with her featuring the Community Representative, Regional Council, and The roots. Natsumi frowned when she read what a driftwood was, she wondered why they weren't allowed to vote. Since they were elderly dryads shouldn't they have as much say as the younger roots. She understood seedlings, since freshlings would be too young to understand politics. She shook her head and took her posterboard to class to give her presentation.

"I decided to research the dryad government since I am part dryad but never knew my other parent. The dryad government is run by the community representative and the regional council. It takes 10 years for a Seedling living on their own at one address to become a Root, and roots are the only dryads that are able to vote in dryad society. Seedlings and Driftwood are not able to vote."

Oleander rolled the question through his mind lazily before he figure went to grab a map. What city looked interesting to him? He scanned the map with quick eyes, flitting from location to location before settling on one. He decided to stay on the same continent his sister choose, looking for a city there. "Alcyone seems cool, it's right next to The Crown and I be the mountains are huge! Alcyone is a ruined city though so no one would probably be there, but it would still be cool! Imagine exploring it? It would probably be pretty scary too." He flicked his pink ears happily.

Irmi scratched that back of his head as he shyly went to look at the maps. He really didn't know much, or care that much for that matter, of the cities around him. All he knew was the school, really. The school and his friends, and that was enough for him. With a drawn out sigh through his sown lips, his green, skull eyes scanned the maps quickly until settling on a location. He wrote his entry for the assignment.

'Swirling Storms, if that can be counted as a city, seems pretty cool. The Nagas and the Bakenekos were separated from the rest of the world for years before they were able to come back to the rest of the world. They all must have had a hard time adjusting.'

User Image The assignment was easy enough and the young hybrid waited for a moment before grabbing one of the many books in braille that reported on the history, geography, and locations of cities in the Below. Rowan probably dragged her fingers over the bumps in the book a hundred times before she decided what city to settle on. She decided that something close to her roots, Giest that is, would be appropriate to report on. "Aynor is a Giest city, so there must be many Giest there! They specialize in grapes and olives. I think one time my nana said something about having good wine from their grapes, but she also said I was too young to have wine so I wouldn't know."

User Image Keenan gently stroked his large gills, something he did when bored in class. When the assignment was announced, he yawned at the thought of looking through the big map, and decided to just find something quickly that he could easily report on. He closed his eyes and let his finger land on a space, and the nearest city to that would be reported on. It ended up being Asphodel, capitol city of Demons. He laughed a little, looking more into it. "So Asphodel is the capitol city of Demons. It's Euros in the Asphodel Fields. It's interesting cause I wonder if Flo has been there, though they're a hybrid." He pondered this thought, resigning to ask when he saw the hybrid later.

Lumi: Lumi stood up and tapped the papers he was holding against the desk, "If I had to pick a city to live in, I would pick the city of An'Chiale on the county of Auster. The reason why is that it is very close to where I was born in the Swirling Storm! I would be able to be close to Bakenekos and Nagas. Also the ruins of Summerforge are realllly close, so I could go there and study any time I wanted! It would be a perfect place to live for me. So that's uhm, that's why I picked An'Chiale."

Asimov: Giving a report was always so nerve-wracking, but Asimov knew that it was better than having to read allowed. He memorised his paper and so when he stood, his hands were free, "If I had to pick a city to live in, then I would pick the city of Shellmount on this continent, Euros. I would want to live there because they specialise in seafood and fish!" A bright smile spilt his face, "I love fish! It's my favorite thing to eat in the whole world! So being close to fresh fish would be awesome. Also I really like water, so it's the best place for me to live."

Peony: Peony stood up and gently patted down his skirt before speaking, "If I had to pick a place to live, I think I would want to live here. I-I mean here as in Asphodel on the continent of Euro. The main reason I want to live here is because I am used to the climates and the soil! You see I really love to grow flowers, and moving somewhere would make it hard to relearn the ecology of the land and what is and isn't available. I would have to learn how to take care of te soil and what the growing season is... While it might be nice because a different climate means I could grow different things, I think anything I have issue growing here could be grown in a green house."

Lucien: Lucien bounced up, eager to give his report, "Oh man! I know where I would want to live!" He paused and cleared his throat, "Okay, if I had to pick a place to live, I would want to live in Ozryn on the continent of Zephryos. The climate there is always super nice, that's why it is a resort town! And because it's nice, I can play all day every day outside in the nice sun. Besides it's a Geist city and I heard those are supposed to be really fun, right? So it's be a great place to live. At least that's what I think!"

Dessie: Dessie wasn't lazy. Okay, no she was really lazy, "I decided to do a report and research into the Demon Government." There was a collective sigh of some exasperated students who had put actual work into their research, but she ignored them, "At one point Demons were lead by a Monarchy, called Sovereigns. Anyone hat they married were called Leiges and Ladies or Lords. If they had kids, they were Princes, Princess, or Princen. But now that the Monarchy has receeded, there is a council and we elect governors." Dessie shrugged and sighed, "I don't get why anyone would be willing to give up that sort of power and position. Being a Soverign had to be the best thing ever!"

Oliver: Oliver disliked giving reports, but at the very least it was a simple one that didn't require a ton of reading, "So I decided to look into the Naga government. Their main deal is that they have one central figure, called a... Brood Mother. The Brood Mother is thought to be descended from the very first Nagas. It can be any gender too, not just females. Uhm, it has always been a pureblooded Naga, no byrids, and always someone of the original Brood Mother line. The chosen mate of the Brood Mother isn't really that powerful, but if someone wants to talk to the Brood Mother, they usually end up talking to the Mate. So I guess they're kind of important in that aspect? And that's what I learned about Naga Government."

Luno: "The government of the Fallen is my topic of choice," And it wasn't very much to report, but Luno found some interesting bits to point out, "Mostly, the structure of power in Fallen society is based upon age. Those who are older are always deferred to. On top of this, the main governing body is a council of elders called the Arch Regents. They are responsible for leading the nightmares in their land. It's an interesting system, though I can't help but wonder how it hasn't lead to outright nepotism. After all, blind loyalty to anyone can cause abuse of power, even in the most virtuous of people."

Nat: Nat stood up and cleared his throat before speaking, "I decided to look into the government of Fey. I was really interested in what sort government the Fey had. So, they are ran by Councils, with Councilors that are a mix of old and young. It's thought that they do this so there are a lot of different perspectives. They also want to have at least 95% agreement on something to make it pass, like a law. They prefer to have it unanimous, but that could take a long time to get accomplished I imagine. The other interesting thing is that to harm another Fey is super bad, and they'll be banished if it comes out that this has happened, regardless of their council status."

Orpheus liked history, but he didn't really care for idolizing people in the past. Still, he didn't want to disappoint Tethys. "Um... I chose Prince Aerath...because he's the first Geist prince that ever existed. I guess its special because Geists weren't really unified before that." He hoped that would suffice- at least Tethys didn't seem to want much more than that from him.

User Image
Fleur had decided that she was not going to use a Geist historical figure- since she was currently in a phase of ignoring her homeland since.. well, her parents seemed just fine ignoring her. "R-Rex Imara is cool.. Um... it must ha--have taken a lot of... c-courage to unite um... all of those... baphomet..." She really didn't know a lot about baphomet history, but they were neighbors to her people and she figured she might as well start.

User Image
It seemed like most people were choosing historical figures from Below, so Amai wanted to choose something different! While there weren't any notable Fey contributors to history that she knew of, she remembered her Mama telling her a little bit about some Dryad historical figures. "Iva of the Flood is really cool too! Being in charge of negotiations has to be really scary- and just the name is awesome." She beamed at Tethys, pleased with her answer.

User Image
Hoooow could everyone have missed Ava!? Their own Headmistress! On one hand, it was shocking, but on the other Fuyu supposed it made things easy for them: they didn't look like they were copying anyone. "Miss Ava is the best- she protects everyone here a-and is really good with magic- she's amazing." Fuyu hoped that maybe someday, they'd be as good at magic as Miss Ava was.
