Yinzhen didn't technically need the caretakers to watch her since her mommy was likely around somewhere if she could see her, Yin's mommy was fey and a solar fey at that so being able to see wasn't easy for her in the dark. Yin decided to go play a game of catch the spooky, which was really just a game of catch the spooky ducky, easy enough for a freshling to play easily. Yinzhen grabbed a spook and found a star on the bottom. She smiled at the fallen running the booth who gave her a bag of candy corn. "Thank you." Yin said softly.
Illusion was pretty sure with all the candy and toys he had gotten from this festival he wouldn't be sleeping for a week!! He giggles his moms would be thrilled about that he was sure, he wondered if his sister Facade and brother Travesty were out trick or treating too, Illusion wasn't sure where anyone was at the moment, though he figured his mom Sky wasn't too far away. Illusion went to his next stop where he got a thing of cotton candy. Illusion was also given a cool bat plushie that he hugged to his chest. He really needed to look over all his treasures soon.
Sign blinked as he was given some really really weird candy, it looked like well Sign didn't want to get into what it looked like. Then he was given a plushie that he wasn't sure what it was either, it was kinda cute, though. Sign had heard rumors about a slime invasion, but he hadn't arrived in town when it happened so maybe it was just that a silly rumor but the plushie kinda looked like the creatures he had heard about. He shrugged and put everything in his treat bag, Hallows eve was such a strange and fun festival.
Alecto went to play a game of catch the ghost, there was a fan and light paper ghosts fluttering up and down, Alecto took a net and caught one of the ghosts, it was a ghost with a funny face and Alecto picked a cloth version as his treat for the day. He smiled playing with his ghost pretending it was flying. Then Alecto made a little "Wooo" noise as he ran about the festival scooting between the many adults everywhere that were watching him. Nothing new there, Alecto didn't have a family so the caretakers were kinda like his family.
As far as the little imp was concerned, this was the coolest thing ever in the history of ever. She'd joined a small group that was trick or treating the village. At the first house, she dutifully stood near the door and held out her bucket when it opened, remembering to chirrup 'Trick or Treat!' A rather glum looking older baphomet opened the door and dropped stuff into each pail. When Frit stepped back and looked, she saw a pretty rock. But when she reached in to pick it up to study it, a feeling of sadness washed over her. Dropping the rock back into the bucket, she decided that she'd wait to examine it. As the troop marched on to the next house, she fell behind when her attention was caught by a small plush bat stuck in some bushes. Grabbing it quickly, she dropped it into her pail. It was hers now.
Muridae: 6 Treat! Plushie!
She had never been trick or treating before. This time of year, the hybrid usually found herself neck deep in books, reading stories, studying... she didn't socialize much when she was younger. But now she found herself wanting to spend some time with her friends. She entered the park to look for a familiar face. One of the vendors called her over, offering her a basket. She tried to politely decline, but the man insisted, and Muridae ended up with a bright pink plastic bucket. She did, however, also pick up a lantern. It was dark, and it was probably a good idea to have one. Before she left the booth, the man gave her a treat. She wasn't exactly sure what this was for, but the little ghost thing was... rather cute. She wanted to hang it in her dorm window.
Stachys: 18 Treat!
Stachys smiled he was awake and he wasn't drumming it was a special occasion indeed, but looking around at all the other freshlings running around getting treats and tricks. It looked like a really fun time, so Stachys dressed up as a flitterrat and pretended to flap his little wings. Stachys smiled and grabbed a treat bucket and headed to his first stop to see if he would get a trick or treat. Stachys smiled as he went up and said "Trick or treat!!" His smiled was his normal laid back calm, when he picked up a bag of skull candies. "Thank you." Stachys said nicely.
Eudica: 8 Treat!
Eudica was really happy, she wasn't in town the last time there was a treat or treating festival. So this was the first she was the first one she was able to experience since she was a little freshling. She was thrilled she kinda wanted to grab a trick or treating bucket and go trick or treating, but she felt that would be a little silly. So instead she grabbed a trick or treating bucket just for the fun of it to carry around the different booths with her since she really didn't need a lantern tonight. She picked out a cute orange bucket then she went to go look and see what games there were to play. Eudica a picked a simple lollipop game and she picked one with a black bottom. She was given a strange trick item some sort of bone skull neat. Eudica smiled and put it in her bucket. She went over to a catch the bat game, there were toy bats fluttering up by a fan and she took a net and caught one. She picked out an adorable plushie as her prize.
Abrus: 15 Trick! Pet!
In spite of the fact that he knew he should be studying, Abrus couldn't resist the siren song of the Haunted Hallows. Running from his room, he'd thrown himself at the game booths. And for his trouble, he'd won a chocolate bar. It was resting inside of the pail he'd been given and he'd for sure eat it later. But first. Games. All the games.
Ayida couldn't help but feel a chill run down her as the wind passed by. Okay, so maybe this costume wasn't the best idea in the world, but that was just a minor price to pay for having a beautiful ensemble. She'd get through it, she had to, it was a little late to be whining about how cold she was anyway. She did get a lot of compliments from the people at the next booth, that made her smile. And the candy apple she got from them was delicious.
Caol was a bit surprised when he got yet another plushie! It was a cute little skeleton too! It made him smile, it was definitely going to be one of his favorite plushies from now on!
Leddi was having fun ushering the kids around and seeing all the neat costumes that other kids had on. She had seen some really pretty ones, but she had to admit that Ayida's was one of the best! She wondered if they should try to enter her in one of the contests when she noticed the poor girl shivering. She frowned a little, and handed her a jacket. She knew it'd ruin the outfit, but it wasn't really worth getting sick over, was it?
Pandora was humming to the music when she found herself in another line. She was happy with the little pumpkin bracelet she got, immediately putting it on. It was really festive and captured the aesthetic of the event so well, which actually made it kind of cool!
Evelyn looked over the toy and nodded. "Yes, I think Lillian will like that one a lot. Let's make the next house our last, what do you think?"
To her surprise, Darryl was one of the first to agree. Talya and Xeno agreed, as did Evey and Darryl's parents. They went up the steps of the last house, performed one last skit, and compared their finds. Evey had gotten a bag of caramel eyeballs, which looked absolutely delicious.
Xenophon was pretty lucky at the next house--his prize was another one of those one-eyed stuffed rabbits. He loved the look of it, and it was so soft and cuddly. "This has been a wonderful evening," he murmured to his new friends. "Thank you for tonight!"
"No problem," Talya said with a smile. "It's been a pleasure going out with you. Er, going out, um, alongside you." She coughed, then gave Xeno a hug. "See you tomorrow at school?"
Xeno nodded, gave the rest of them a hug, and ran off across the street to rejoin his family.
Ved was more or less the leader of their party by this point. He led the charge up the next set of steps to the next house, where he was given a small stuffed bat. Now he had three, and all of them in colors he loved!
Zalir had no idea where they should go next. Zey considered briefly putting zeir hand in Chries's--it just looked so soft and fluffy!--but dismissed the idea almost instantly. That would be rude! Imps didn't like to be petted all the time, they weren't animals... So zey just looked around the fair and murmured to zeir roommate, "Where should we go next?"
Callessa was sort of getting bored of this booth, but she had no idea where they should go next. "Maybe we could try out the obstacle course?" she asked Eidil.
Raniol had to get away from that creepy doll. Without waiting, he rushed out the door into the corridor. He tried every door he came across--no luck. It was only the one at the end that would open. The clicking of hooves on hardwood heralded his siblings close behind. But as he opened the door, a shrill shriek emanated from the room, and three objects rolled across the floor towards them. Niol slammed the door shut quickly and scooped up the object that had hit his feet. A bag of candy corn? It did look good...
Deni hadn't been able to get out the door before his brother had, but he was out there in time to hear the scream and grab the sugar skull that had rolled out. "What the eff was that?!" he shouted.
Eidil understood that Cal would want to move on. "The obstacle course sounds like fun," she said. She led the way there, where they each limbered up and took a run at the course. Eidil's prize was a stuffed bat--sadly, Cal didn't win anything. "You'll win something next time, I know it," she said to her girlfriend.
Melisara rushed to catch up to the boys, almost tripping on a stick of candy floss. "Ah'm with y'all," she said. "What the heck was screamin'?!"
Darryl was way too tired to keep going on and listening to inane teenage babble. He was therefore quick to agree with Evey that they should turn back now. His last prize was a bracelet, which he slipped on immediately. When Xeno turned to leave, Darryl gave him a solid nod. He wasn't a bad guy, just...a new guy. That's all.
Ruka and Jurvik had just returned from another house, where Ruka had won a purple bracelet. "Hey, what's up, Xeno?" she asked him. She stifled a yawn.
"I'm about all trick-or-treated out for the year," he said. "What about you?"
Ruka thought about it for a minute, then nodded. "I think I'm ready to go home," she said.
"Alright, then," Jurvik said. "Let's go home, then."
The next house was even better than the last one. Though Perigor hung out at the back, he got a stuffed skeleton, which was really neat! He stuffed it away and followed the others to the next house.
Aurabelle frowned. There had to be some way of letting dear Veddy know that he was acting like a prat, wasn't there? As they considered the dilemma, they noticed another wisp following them. Okay, then. Green wasn't normally their color, but its bright colors were...pleasing, in a way.
Sound Lee had no idea of knowing what the Elf was thinking, but he was, unknowingly, pondering the same question. His prize at this house was a blue sugar skull. It would probably be too sweet, but it was very pretty.
Ustule and Histeol hadn't been so lucky, but they were still both keeping their chins up and their hopes high for the evening. "We should get together more often," Ustule murmured. "Explore the neighborhood or something."
Teo shrugged. "I guess we could do that," he said. "Or we could explore some of the museums around town. I hear they're talking about opening some small history museums."
Anchriesel shrugged. "I don't know. We could do the beanbag toss?" As he said it, he saw something whirling towards him. With a sigh, he caught it and examined it. A caramel apple. Actually, that looked really nice. He put it away in his bucket. "What do you think?"
Caron smiled at Jac as he picked out the bat plushie she wanted and gave it to her, then he said "Want to go get some candy?? Or play another game??"
Young Love 7
"Yes yes yes!!!" She nodded repeatedly, letting go of him and jumping up and down in excitement. She didn't know how to control it, she was just so happy! He had asked her to be his girlfriend, and she didn't know any other way to express her joy except for jumping for, well... joy!
When asked what she wanted from Caron, she pointed at a cute little pink bat ", I like that one," It was a good thing Caron had won a prize because got just a creepy turnip.
The locket was pretty enough, but the ruined pictures inside of it gave Naosu a distinct sense of sadness when she held it. She thought perhaps she wouldn't be holding onto it for very long and would perhaps find somewhere that felt right to leave it and dispel the sadness.
Essei wrinkled her nose. Ewww! At least it wasn't a real eye, but it sure looked a lot like one. Why would anyone even have that!
Bones! Awesome! Ichiru was thrilled and pawwed at the bones in his pail before he heard a squeak and looked down just as a flitterrat climbed him and made itself at home on his shoulder. He couldn't have been happier.
Whatever this was, it looked seriously gross and he wasn't sure whether he should keep it or not. It might not cause mutations, and not the kind that gave superpowers like in the comics. He didn't immediately notice the vespercat following him.
Ryker had been eyeing Parfait's lollipop since she got it, but he wasn't a fan of the black and white flavor. So he picked a different one up for himself while he watched the girls have fun.
"Daaaaaadduuuuu," Effie whined as she came back, holding up a busted glass eyeball. "This one came with an EYEBALL!" She huffed and dropped it in her bucket. "At least my plushie is super cute," she said as she cuddled the colorful spider plush.
Parfait snagged some change out of her daddu's pocket with a giggle as he caught her at it but let her go with a smile. She ran back to the table she'd seen the pretty bracelet at and bought one for herself.

Zeta tried another trick or treat booth only to end up with a glove of popcorn and candy corn. It wasn't even good candy corn, she thought as she spit the grossness out. And the popcorn was stale. Ew.
Pallas wrinkled her nose as her next attempt at trick or treating gave her a box of raisins. Haunted Hallows was all about candyyy, didn't these Nightmares know that? Urgh. She dumped the box in her bucket and moved on.

"Ahhh, so cute!!" Bibbidi laughed as she bought herself a bracelet. It matched her almost perfectly, and she slid it on as soon as it was paid for.
"I want some cotton candy," he declared as he clutched the plushie his twin gave him. "What about you?" he eyed his twin curiously.
Kaito smiled happily and nodded. "Cotton candy sounds great!" he beamed and pulled out the change he needed to buy two identical cones from the closest treat vendor. "Mm, it looks so good, doesn't it, Jiji?"

Xanti happily bought a bag of caramel eyeballs. They were pretty interesting, and caramel was one of his favorite candies. He couldn't wait until he was old enough to learn how to make it for himself. He knew it was a careful process.
