Sakurako was really curious about this trick or treating festival she had never been to anything like this in her village. Things were so different, it was all rather shocking. Sakura still wanted to know more about all this stuff, she was shell shocked by all the activity, but at the same time, she was excited and ready to learn everything she could about this festival. Sakura walked over to the booth giving out lanterns she picked up one holding it down by her side. As she walked around looking at all the booths. Trying to decide what she wanted to do next. She let out a loud epp when she pulled an eyeball out of the bucket she reached her paw into. Shocked that she had pulled something so spooky out of the bucket. This was a very strange festival. She felt only a little better when she realized it wasn't a real eye, but it sure had scared her. The booth attendant chuckled and handed her pretty pink plushie as well. Sakurako smiled gentle and accepted the plushie and kept the eye as well as a memento.
Aurora was really happy, she wasn't in town the last time there was a treat or treating festival. So this was the first she was the first one she was able to experience since she was a little freshling. She was thrilled she kinda wanted to grab a trick or treating bucket and go trick or treating, but she felt that would be a little silly. So instead she grabbed a trick or treating bucket just for the fun of it to carry around the different booths with her since she really didn't need a lantern tonight. She picked out a cute orange bucket then she went to go look and see what games there were to play. Aurora picked a simple lollipop game and she picked one with a black bottom. She was given a strange trick item some sort of bone skull neat. Aurora smiled and put it in her bucket. Aurora went over to a catch the bat game, there were toy bats fluttering up by a fan and Aurora took a net and caught one. She picked out an adorable plushie as her prize.
Yunia was really nervous looking around the festival, she had been working for a little bit now, and here was this big event. Yunia wasn't used to this sort of life at all, so she stayed off to the shadows watching everyone for a little bit before walking over to any of the booths to look at anything. Yunia picked up the shiny locket and felt the sadness coming off the object in waves. She shivered and then looked for something else to do, to try and was away the feeling. She put the locket in her pocket and moved on. Yunia found another game to play, one that made her feel more comfortable a dart game. A game of sport. Yunia lined up her shot and threw the dart sticking it in the board. Winning a small bat plushie she liked.
Avocado choose a black cauldron to go trick or treating with the other freshlings. He grinned at the caretakers, he was dressed up as a dragon (or a bat if dragon isn't an ok costume). So he could pretend he could fly all night. Avo growled and pretended to breathe fire as he ran up to his first stop for the night. Avo made funny faces at the strange turnip looking thing he was given, that certainly wasn't candy. Avocado ran over to a different booth, a caretaker following him the whole way. Avo grinned he was going to make sure this caretaker slept well when she was all over. Avocado jumped up and down when he saw a catch the fish gab, Avo got a little wet trying to catch the goldfish. The caretaker wouldn't let him keep the goldfish so instead Avo picked a green Nezubat.
She had never been trick or treating before. This time of year, the hybrid usually found herself neck deep in books, reading stories, studying... she didn't socialize much when she was younger. But now she found herself wanting to spend some time with her friends. She entered the park to look for a familiar face. One of the vendors called her over, offering her a basket. She tried to politely decline, but the elder demon insisted, and Nashira ended up with a bright pink plastic bucket. She did, however, also pick up a lantern. It was dark, and it was probably a good idea to have one. Before she left the booth, the elder demon gave her a treat. She wasn't exactly sure what this was for, but the little ghost thing was... rather cute. She wanted to hang it in her dorm window. Now she had to look for familiar faces.
Kingston:
This time of year was GREAT! Kingston was so pumped to go trick or treating! He dressed all in black, but had a ring of glowsticks around his face, a line going down his torso, and down his arms and legs. When asked, he would declare he was dressed as a stick man. He picked up a plastic pail and lantern on his way in (Not that he didn't have a whole collection of these things at home, but he always thought they were adorable). The first vendor he stopped at, he greeted with a cheery "Trick or treat!" and smirked. There was a grumbled 'aren't you a little old for this?' from the middle aged nightmare as he dropped a strange item into his basket. What... what was this? Oh holy... what WAS that thing? His ears laid back against his head as he looked at the creepy... turnip? Well, at least it would be buried at the bottom of his sack.
He turned to go about his business when he thought he saw a familiar pair of wings. "Hey there, Vanna! Trick or treat?" He asked, walking over to the chimara.

This was his first time celebrating at the academy, and Vega frankly didn't know what to do with himself. He took the little plastic bucket, red of course, and and was ready for this. Right? His little hooves clicked on the path as he walked up to a stall and held his bucket up. "Trick or treat?" The daydream at the booth just wanted to pinch his cheeks as she dropped something into his bucket. Thankfully for Vega, they refrained.
Meadow:
Aw man! Where were the rainbow buckets? Meadow had inspected all the buckets couldn't find one that was colorful enough. He settled on a blue one and marched up to the first stall. "Trick or treat!" He pretty much demanded. Oh, he was going to get so much candy. So much more then his brother or Aurelia! They were going to be so jealous! But how could they hope to compete against him in this costume? He was dressed up like a rainbow! Every part of him was a different color. (It wasn't really a costume. He just had gotten really into painting this morning.) Of course he could claim the bucket was the sky and the lantern was the sun. It made total sense! Meadow was given some candy, and he couldn't help but open it right away and took a bite. "THIS IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE I'VE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH!"

He didn't mind wandering around on a night like this. He was smiling and waving to his classmates as he picked up a bucket and a lantern. He couldn't help but flirt a little with the girl who was giving out the buckets. He winked and asked for her number, but then the girl's father pushed his way in. "I don't care what this holiday is about, you get a trick, and stay away from my baby girl!" Whoa! Protective parent alert!
"I got a rock?" He blinked, looking into his bag. But as an apology, when her father wasn't looking, the girl slipped Charon a plush as well.

They didn't really understand the holiday. Keahi wandered around, looking at all the candies and treats, but wasn't sure what to make of any of this. Someone came and offered them a bucket and a lantern. Keahi looked at the bucket, then up to the person who had given it to them. The stranger tried to shoo Keahi away so they could go gather candy, but all the freshling did was hold up the bucket. "Oh fine! Have a treat. No run along and get lots more candies." More candy? For free? Well, this could be ok.
Frey walked around looking at the different booths. He wasn’t normally one for festivals but he did have somewhat of a sweet tooth and Haunted Hallows was a great way to stock up on candy. Besides Ash tended to also go to things and it was a great way to run into the hybrid. It was also the first year that there would be soo many races. It was nice to see the world changing in good directions. Looking around at the different costumes and the different hairstyles he absent mindedly munched on the caramel apple he had gotten near the entrance. Now the question was... what did he want to do next? He might as well enjoy the festival after all since he was here
Samhain wandered through the stalls. It had been a tossup on where he was going to come or not tonight, but the thing was that he did still have academy friends and he was a bit worried about Xiaoshi. She had tried to kill his microwave the other day of all things and this was her first huge festival. So he had been slightly trailing her at a far enough pace away that she wouldn’t notice. Kumiho could be somewhat clueless on things. Of course it was then that a sort of demonic looking paper ghost was shoved in his face and he lost track of Xia. Thanking the random person, he turned to see if he could spot her in the crowd again when he spotted someone else he knew.
Xiaoshi would be fine… right? And he hadn’t seen Nashira since the whole thing had occurred. Mostly because Salem had been out for that month and a half and Samhain was not letting his other side terrorize the public while bad. He nibbled on his lower lip as he pondered on calling out. “Nashira”
Vanna did briefly notice that Mai was getting things handed to get and Ren was grabbing Candy but luckily here his attention didn't have to be alert all the time. Besides he was still pondering the strange potion vial, and what exactly was in it. Sure he knew it was set up as a prank but his mind worked in weird ways. However something caught his attention and he looked up. No Ren was munching on the candy and Mai was putting her bracelet on. Oh wait it was his name. Blinking and forcibly drawing his mind back to the present he locked eyes on Kingston.
"Uh Treat"
"and where did your mind go brother" Mai stated with a chuckle, luckily Vanna was in between them so she felt rather bolder than she probably would have meeting a new person. She did peer from behind Vanna though and wave at what was obviously her brother's friend.
When Eliot arrived he spent some time listening to the happy screaming freshlings, watching how the caretakers took such amazing care of the freshlings. It was Eliot's dream to one day be counted among their ranks. Eliot watched, how they worked, he was really amazed how they were able to keep track of so many freshlings running around trick or treating. After a little while, Eliot turned and headed to explore the booths of the festival. He picked up a lantern and started looking around the booths to see what there was to do at this event. Eliot frowned as he picked from a grab bag and picked up a strange glowy stone it was really pretty, but it felt so sad.. maybe if he kept it in a box or a glass case it would be ok??
Frit saw the commotion. There was some sort of thing afoot! The little girl scurried after the other freshlings, doing her best to overhear the other children's conversations. Sure, the imp could just ask one of the other children, but where was the fun in that? No Frit wanted to obtain this information on her own, in her own way. So the imp walked with the crowd, her ears wiggling as she picked up what others were saying. Something about free candy? Something about costumes? It all seemed pretty good to the girl, and she was eagerly joining the commotion.
Muridae: 5 Trick + Pet!
Muridae had been holed up in her small apartment. She heard kids yelling, adults laughing loudly, and all sorts of other noises that made her peek her head out the 4th story window. It took a lot to get Muridae to leave her humble abode, and curiosity was a major factor in that. The girl's tail flicked back and forth, watching from afar. Apparently people were going up to other's doors, and receiving candy. The Idea seemed both delightful and a little too abrasive for the girl's tastes, but as she saw another nightmare walk away with the most beautiful lollipop, she braced herself and went up to the door. Before the girl could get there a group of wild kids ran past, making the rather clumsy nightmare trip and fall into the grass. As Muridae lay there, mortified at what had happened, she saw a small creature squeak in fright as the kids came its way. Muridae felt the rush of needing to save small cute things, and ran up to the critter, carrying it and a locket around its neck away into her safe apartment.
Stachys: 2 Treat!
Stachys was with a group of other freshlings, all of the children chatting amongst eatch other. There was talk of candy, costumes, and surprising tricks! The dryad joined in on the conversation, stating that he wanted to be a palm tree for the candy collecting event. The other kids giggled at Stachy's decision, but the boy was not detoured. After class he cut out some big palm leaves from construction paper, obtained a nice set of brown pants and shirt, and put his costume together. The boy looked in the mirror, proud of what he had accomplished. With that the boy went out to collect the candy he was working so hard for.
Eudica: 17 Trick!
Eudica had been sitting through class, her face devoid of any emotion, as was the norm. The elf was trying to get through the last half hour of math class, but her mind was wondering. Suddenly another student nudged her and passed her a piece of paper. The elf, seeing no name on it, and being curious herself, opened the paper. In bad handwriting there was a question, "Trick or Treat? After class, outside under the big tree." Eudica raised an eyebrow. Yes, she supposed she could go along with whatever this thing was, but she would not break her cool demeniour. While the girl left to go to the restroom, another tactic for helping to kill the last half hour of class that felt like days as the boring teacher droned on, she found something stuffed into her bag once she got back to desk. Eudica discreetly peered into the bag and made a face. Who gave her this weird doll?
Abrus: 10 Treat!
Abrus loved haloween. It was when his flamboyant attire, and dangerous tricks really got the limelight they deserved. The man was in a bustle this morning, readying his magic tricks, swords, and juggling "severed heads". He was in front of the mirror, applying the gruesome makeup that he was going to wear for the event, when he heard a knock on his door. The Kirin stopped applying the red face paint, and glanced at the door. Who would be bothering him at this hour? When the man opened the door he found a rather pleasant present right on his doorstep. Abrus looked around, the perpetrator was nowhere to be seen, so the kirin grabbed the gift, and hummed to himself. It must have been a secret admirer.
Illusion was out with his mom Sky, he was looking around for his sister Facade hoping she would come join the fun of trick or treating with him. Illusion had decided to dress up as a Jackalope, Illusion thought it was a rather funny idea since he someday wanted to pull one out of a hand as a magic trick. Illusion went up to his first stop curious to see if he would get a trick or a treat. Illusion frowned as he went to trick or treat and got a rock for his troubles. Oh well maybe he could figure out how to turn it into a flower for his magic act. Illusion smiled and laughed at his mom's reaction to the gooie mess, he put it back though not wanting it to get on his later candy. Illusion was then given a cute plushie went he cuddle to his chest.
Sky smiled watching her little freshling Illusion going trick or treating for the first time, she hoped that Charade and Facade would meet them at some point. So they could all enjoy this as a family. Sky smiled softly as she picked up a lantern from one of the booths, keeping a close eye on Illusions movements, but comforted by the caretakers everywhere she knew would ensure not one freshling would be lost or hurt during the festival. Sky picked up a bottle of goo and her eyes widened as she handed the strange bottle to her son carefully. Sky smiled seeing her son happy.
Alecto smiled he was awake and he wasn't drumming it was a special occasion indeed, but looking around at all the other freshlings running around getting treats and tricks. It looked like a really fun time, so Alecto dressed up as a flitterrat and pretended to flap his little wings. Alecto smiled and grabbed a treat bucket and headed to his first stop to see if he would get a trick or treat. Alecto smiled as he went up and said "Trick or treat!!" His smiled was his normal laid back calm, when he picked up a bag of skull candies. "Thank you." Alecto said nicely.
Trotting happily through rows of booths and clusters of trick or treaters, Adelinde found herself inhaling the chill, spice scented air. Really, this was absolutely one of her favorite times of the year. The costumes, the games, the treats... It was all so wonderful. And to think, she mused silently as she took a turn at the pitching game, there are races around that had never experienced this before. Really, it boggled the mind a little bit!
She came back to the present as the imp in charge of the game smiled and handed her a little ghostie treat. Smiling back, she turned to find another game to play when her she tripped slightly over a seemingly discarded plushie. Picking it up, she dusted the thing off and considered for a moment. She didn't see or hear anyone worrying about a lost toy.
"Guess you're mine now, little friend," she murmured.

For a wife and mother of several, Coralie was acting like a giddy little kid. Clutching her babies to her, she laughed and giggled as she and her family wandered about. Spying a game she wanted to try, she handed Red and Tansy over to Ashlynn and Gilby.

One after the other, she threw the darts carefully, eyes lighting up gleefully and she popped the middle balloon. When the nightmare in charge winked and handed her a cone of cotton candy (really, really pretty cotton candy, she returned the wink, accepted her treat and sauntered back to her waiting family.

Keshet's feelings regarding the Hallowed Haunt were rather mixed. It's not like ghosts or other spirits ever bothered them much, aside from some random nausea or headaches when something was angry, but this particular month seemed to just draw all of them out at once. Giving their cotton candy way more focus than should have been necessary, the imp felt their shoe hit something. Looking down to make sure it wasn't a lost familiar, they instead discovered a somewhat ragged stuffed doll. It was cute, but something like this was bound to be haunted or cursed, right? Well, might as well pick it up..
Ren was stupidly excited about all the ghosts and various wandering spirits that were drawn to the HH festival grounds. He knew Fai wasn't fond of them, but most of them were usually pretty harmless aside from maybe pulling pranks on the corporeal folks. The pastel-colored hybrid was oddly fascinated with everything dead (or undead), and he felt it was only right he brought home another Revenant to keep company to the one he'd previously got as a pet. Undead or not, they were cute and fluffy! Someone had seemingly tried to scare him by slipping some weird goop into his trick-or-treat pail, but sadly Ren was not the type to find that scary, on the contrary the weird ectoplasm seemed like something he'd have to study back at the dorm! Maybe it was actually real residue from an ethereal being.
Saiph was a little lost without Mira and Enif, but the new stuffed Vespercat doll they won was pretty comforting. Even the raisins that they got from the previous house didn't bother them so much.
Nyx was pretty pumped. His favorite monster pajamas were practically made for trick-or-treating! At the present moment he was sitting on a bench, biting into a Scream Candy Bar and yelling at the top of his tiny lungs how great the chocolate was with each bite. Funny enchantment they had on the candy, but it just made it all the more fun to eat.
Hamish had darted off ahead to the Fair. He knew that Prague would join up with him later, once she finished some of the work she'd brought home. But she'd assured him that she wanted him to enjoy himself while he was waiting. Therefore, he'd darted to the very first booth he'd found.
To his mild disappointment, it was for a throwing game that he wasn't all that great at. Though the booth keeper's sympathetic grin as Hammie failed to win helped to ease some of the sting.
"Nevermind, sonny," the demon said. "You tried and can't ask more'n that. Here, you still get a prize."
Hammie accepted the plastic goblet and carefully set it within his pail. It would be something to show Prague, anyhow. Nodding his thanks, he wandered off. As he was debating where to go next, he head a gentle squeaking and felt something hit his pail. Looking down, he saw a pumpkin colored flitterat nosing the goblet curiously. Laughing, the young Hallowed carefully pulled the rat from the pail and set it on his shoulder.
"That's just cheap plastic. If you try to eat it, you'll make yourself sick. C'mon. Maybe we can find you some pumpkin seeds or something to gnaw."

And at least it gave him something to nibble as he wandered. He just hoped to have all of his teeth left once he was finished nibbling.

Eliot watched, how they worked, he was really amazed how they were able to keep track of so many freshlings running around trick or treating. After a little while, Eliot turned and headed to explore the booths of the festival. He picked up a lantern and started looking around the booths to see what there was to do at this event. Eliot frowned as he picked from a grab bag and picked up a strange glowy stone it was really pretty, but it felt so sad.. maybe if he kept it in a box or a glass case it would be ok??
Illusion was out with his mom Sky, he was looking around for his sister Facade hoping she would come join the fun of trick or treating with him. Illusion had decided to dress up as a Jackalope, Illusion thought it was a rather funny idea since he someday wanted to pull one out of a hand as a magic trick. Illusion went up to his first stop curious to see if he would get a trick or a treat. Illusion frowned as he went to trick or treat and got a rock for his troubles. Oh well maybe he could figure out how to turn it into a flower for his magic act. Illusion smiled and laughed at his mom's reaction to the gooie mess, he put it back though not wanting it to get on his later candy. Illusion was then given a cute plushie went he cuddle to his chest.
Sky smiled watching her little freshling Illusion going trick or treating for the first time, she hoped that Charade and Facade would meet them at some point. So they could all enjoy this as a family. Sky smiled softly as she picked up a lantern from one of the booths, keeping a close eye on Illusions movements, but comforted by the caretakers everywhere she knew would ensure not one freshling would be lost or hurt during the festival. Sky picked up a bottle of goo and her eyes widened as she handed the strange bottle to her son carefully. Sky smiled seeing her son happy. 
Alecto smiled he was awake and he wasn't drumming it was a special occasion indeed, but looking around at all the other freshlings running around getting treats and tricks. It looked like a really fun time, so Alecto dressed up as a flitterrat and pretended to flap his little wings. Alecto smiled and grabbed a treat bucket and headed to his first stop to see if he would get a trick or treat. Alecto smiled as he went up and said "Trick or treat!!" His smiled was his normal laid back calm, when he picked up a bag of skull candies. "Thank you." Alecto said nicely. 
Trotting happily through rows of booths and clusters of trick or treaters, Adelinde found herself inhaling the chill, spice scented air. Really, this was absolutely one of her favorite times of the year. The costumes, the games, the treats... It was all so wonderful. And to think, she mused silently as she took a turn at the pitching game, there are races around that had never experienced this before. Really, it boggled the mind a little bit!
