Headstrong and stubborn, Tendaji rarely gives up on a task, even if the prize is unattainable. Gifted with a vivid imagination, he is a born storyteller, although he has the unfortunate tendency to fall too deeply in his own stories and believe they are true. Superstitious, he carries a series of lucky pebbles and other small knick-knacks in the pouch around his neck.

History
Born in the Bhanu'Ecchumati, Tendaji grew up thinking his birth-father was Abrafo and he would grow up to be a big, strong lion with a handsome mane. Finding out that Abrafo wasn't his birth father and he was, in fact, a leopard, Tendaji developed a deep seated insecurity about his species and his green pelt.

When Tendaji hit adolescence, Nia and Abrafo left for the rogue lands and he went with them. He stayed with his family for a little while, getting to know his new siblings, but soon grew restless and set off with his brothers Izin and Kamau to find some Ladies.

Chatty and energetic, Ndege wants to be everybody's best friend. She does not handle solitude well and is happiest when surrounded by other wild dogs, either telling one of her stories or listening to another's tale.

History
Born alone in the last of four litters, Ndege grew up in a nomadic clan of warrior wild dogs. Loyal to the wishes of her parents, she trained to be a fighter with the rest of the dogs, but there was always something amiss. A storyteller at heart, Ndege left her clan shortly after reaching adulthood. She found a new home in the Nyota-Wasomaji shortly after the earthquake, and is as loyal as any born-in member.

Personality
Nkiru is a perfectly capable fighter and loves a good tussle, but you'd never guess it from her sweet and sunny disposition. She wants to be everybody's friends and has yet to learn that not everyone feels the same, or that some lions are not-so-nice. Life is beautiful, the world is lovely, and all kinds of males keep on saying nice things and winking at her. (They should really try and find somebody to take a look and remove whatever it is that's irritating them so.)

History
The second youngest of seven siblings, Nkiru grew up in a very large family, and that's just the way she liked it. Much as she loved her family, she knew she couldn't stay forever and left to explore shortly after reaching adulthood, not to mention shortly after finding out her mother was pregnant yet again!

Although she had never lived in a pride and her father made sure she knew how to fight, Nkiru lead an oddly sheltered life, always surrounded by family and only vaguely aware that somewhere out beyond the family lands there were other lions and those strange things called "leopards" and "cheetahs" and strangest of all, "wild dogs" and "hyenas."

Personality
Mothôpô was uncommonly chatty as a child and would talk endlessly to anybody who would listen, but as he grew he became increasingly silent until now he almost never says at anything at all. There's nothing wrong with him physically or mentally; he just doesn't have anything to say. He spends most of his time in quiet introspection and leads to a calm, peaceful life.

Perhaps unusually, he worships domains instead of gods, although he is exceedingly polite and respectful to any gods he meets, seeing them as a manifestation of their domain. Like everything else in his life, his worship is quiet and contemplative, largely manifested by pausing a moment on a hilltop to appreciate the sunset and give thanks, or leave a small bundle of flowers at a shrine.

History
He left home as an adolescent and wandered here and there before finally finding his place in the Ulili-Mlindaji, where he tends the shrines for Seasons and does his best to stay out of sight of visitors.

Although Ucheachea was sweet and a bit of a pushover as a child, as he's grown he's turned into a snarky terror. Try as he might, he can't resist the impulse to say something terrible. He's better behaved around female hyenas and relatives, but only marginally. He's a right angel when he's with his Ma, but he hasn't seen her since leaving home so there's nothing to hold him back.

History
He grew up in the rogue lands with his family, looking forward to the occasional visit from his father. He stayed on his best behavior as a child, always doing as his mother said, but once he left home his behavior quickly deteriorated. Shirou is his arch-nemesis.

Azubuike is unused to change or experiencing new things, and tends to fall back on what he knew growing up. This has given him a rigid set of expectations and beliefs, along with a tendency to freeze up when pushed past his comfort zone. In short, he's narrow minded and judgmental. Asides from that, he's an otherwise decent guy.

History
Azubuike grew up in a large and happy family, the fourth born out of seven siblings, with two older sisters, one older brother, two younger sisters and one younger brother. His parents taught him how to hunt and fight, leaving him well equipped for life in the rogue lands. He left shortly after reaching adulthood, largely due to some not-so-gentle prodding from his parents, who had yet another litter on the way. Aside from his two eldest sisters (who elected to stay and help hunt), he was the last to leave and lost track of his other siblings.

History
Hated by her step-mother Ino, Helle and her brother Phrixus were to be sacrificed to the gods as cubs. Fortunately for them both, they were rescued by their older half brother, a vibrantly colored golden lion. During their escape, Helle fell off her brother's back into a river. She was swept away by the current and assumed drowned, but later rescued by a reddish-brown leopard named Charon.

She grew up under Charon's firm paw, but at night she dreamed of the two brothers she had lost, especially the younger, and shortly after adulthood she set off in search of her mysterious missing brother, guided only by her visions.
