Safi stretched, trotting out of the night's den he'd shared with his mate. They'd begun wandering again, now that the pups were all grown. And he could take them to visit their grandparents again.

Speaking of...the reason he'd gotten up so earlier was to go looking for new materials for his daughter Lela. With a spring in his step, he started off, a lop-sided grin on his face. Materials, materials, Lela needed new materials~ He nosed around the outermost 'border' of their little camp, looking for anything that might be interesting.

User Image Ndege was lost, but that was just fine and dandy with her. After all, if she always stayed in the same place, she'd never meet anybody new, and where was the fun in that? She'd led a tame life so far, peaceful and happy and... well, boring. Much as she loved her family, it was well past time she set off on her own, had an adventure!

"So much for adventure," she muttered. It had been several weeks, and she had yet to meet anybody interesting.

Safi's ears perked up as a scent reached his nose. Well...that wasn't a familiar scent at all. And being the very...well friendly dog he was, he trotted towards the scent, curious and wanting to see who it was. A new friend perhaps? Maybe someone headed the same way they were?

Once he caught sight of the other, another wild dog, it looked like, and barked out a greeting. "Good day!"

Downwind, Ndege remained unaware of the other's presence until his bark. She tensed slightly, but soon relaxed, easily recognizing the friendly tone of the bark. Finally, another dog!

"It is at that," she said. "Much finer than yesterday or the day before, but I doubt as fine as tomorrow or the day after. But where are my manners? I'm Ndege."
