"Well Salem was the one that woke them up. So any bad character traits I blame on him" Samhain teased when nashira mentioned she could see Salem in his children. Seriously it kind of always made him sad that both of them seemed to have hints of his condition and that they were more like Salem than himself. However it wasn't anything really important so he kept his face neutral. Salem tugged warningly at him. ---------------------------- "Mmm okay but if it's to bring more white hair to the old man or even dad then the one to give the sugar to is Trixxie, I just eat sugar because it tastes good it doesn't really make me hyper. Mom says that's because I just don't have friends to enjoy it with but alas." Rune replied with a shrug. " also don't be so stiff your doing fine. Leto replied, he seemingly shook his head in a fond manner when Vega started, well from the way he was moving Leto would assume that he was either started to sob or giggle. The next words showed it was giggling. " I am an older sibling, I am used to happy gigging" and now because it was permission Leto went to move a strand of hair that had escaped vega's hair style only to stop. Hair for kirins was different. It was more special than normal like fallen feathers maybe he shouldn't touch the hair. ------------------------- " mmmmm well maybe one snowball I mean he just started smiling again when we pelt him he'll go back to the frowny face and getting Vega would have failed" Jin decided cocking her head it the side and pondering it like it was an epic decision. Yeah one snowball per each of them would cure the need right? Leto wouldn't get too frowny face. It would be fine. ------------------------------------------ " yeah that's common in festivals you will find. Familiars pop out of nowhere and just pick nightmares they want to belong to. Every festival they seemingly get more creative. As you are finding out. I think some of the people only go to the festivals to get familiars and no worries about the Oberon thing, it's a common mistake. I mean most people living with a family member my age would be living with their parent after all. "
Lilly wanted to try the fortune telling station. “The new year will bring growth,” the fortune teller proclaimed before smiling endearingly and passing over a blue and white bracelet.
Birkita
Birkita did not want to do the fortune telling station and instead, lingered away from the table. A joyful cherub wandered by and passed over a cup of tea. A smaller, freshling cherub handed her a verspercat plushie. She blinked, unable to refuse the items.
Sisal
Sisal went around, playing two more games at different stations, and came away with a red pot with a plant and a green vesper cat plushie. He smiled. These would look lovely on the shelf in his room.
Vega Zenith
Vega won a coin toss and hooted with excitement as she was handed a giant fennekin plushie. She was also handed a bucket of indoor snowballs. Vega was a bit disappointed to find they weren’t made of real snow.
Nym
Nym was secretly a sucker for romantic novels. When he thought no one was looking, he grabbed taken by a chimera from the table. He also grabbed a red fennekin plushie to conceal the action.
Nuka
A freshling ran up to Nuka, excited to see a caretaker at the festival. The cutey took off their lightbulb necklace and handed it to Nuka as a present. He grinned and thanked the freshling, ruffling their hair, before putting it on.
Aias
Aias picked out a red and green bracelet from a tablet, smiling fondly at the festive colors before slipping it onto his wrist. He blushed a bit, looking around nervously to see if anyone saw him.
Bowie Suddenly, the little fennikit perked it's ears up and ran off. "Ah, wait a second..." But it was too late. The little familiar had vanished. Bowie sighed. "Well, as long as it's happy..." He said softly. But suddenly, the fennikit came running back, a flitterat sitting on it's back. "Oh? What's this? Did you just bring a friend?"
Miu Miu found some punch for herself and a bit of water for her new friend. "I hope you like it." Miu smiled, setting the flitterat down on a chair with a tiny dish of water. She took the chair beside it.
Sphinx Oh, she really did hope that Jin would go for what she was implying. She picked up one of the enchanted 'snowballs' and tested the weight in her hand. Yes... these would be great. And they were cold.
Vega Vega leaned his head in and rested his forehead against Leto's. He kind of wanted to kiss him again, but he was also really embarrassed to do so. But then... there would be a lot of time to practice kissing.
Undine This was already really fun. There were so many lights and people dressed up in pretty costumes and so many goodies! She was reaching for a cookie when suddenly a coatl appeared in front of her. Undine stared at it and slowly took the cookie, then smiled and reached up to pet the snake. "How pretty!"
Nashira And then the awkwardness set in. Nashira wasn't really good with children. She liked them well enough, but she didn't know how to interact with them.
Nivasi He only started laughing harder when a flitterat, of all things, climbed up into his lap. He found it quite funny as he had a basically a cat and mouse in his lap. And they even seemed to get along. "I don't even understand what's going on!" He chuckled.
For this round about the festively decorated area, Persefoni grabbed some cute black bell earrings. Eli snagged another bracelet to add to her collection. Aleanette picked up a fluffy cloud of candy floss and Mbizi was handed some peppermint candy. Andriel huddled with a steaming mug while he watched Ashford attempt to shove a whole lollipop in his mouth.
Giving the 15 to Tania Tania looked around at the crowd having a lot of fun. She was tired and already lost Rowena in the crowd. Tania looked for a set and had sage lay her head on her lap. She smiled at sage because she could be happier with anyother tail. Sage head that in Tanias head and smiled. Then something caught her attention a group of spectrafox was watching everyone. There was one that caught her attention. It looked like a cookie. Tania moved Sages head and started to walk towards it. It staryed to growl but Tania was not scared. She lived in the forest so she seen things more scarier then this familiar. This familiar started to n** at her hand he closer she got. But it must of been a test because that spectrfox let her pet it.
The Grendel musicians had begun to play. Apparently this dance had officially started. There were a few couples who immediately took to the dance floor for some romantic slow dances. Cecelia rolled her eyes and gestured for another cider. It was nonalcoholic of course but she had her fill of hot chocolate for the day.
Winter looked over at Jack who was trying to eat a candy cane. It seemed he couldn't quite figure out its not meant for chewing on. She was actually kind of afraid he might break a tooth going at it like that. Though, she supposed, he probably couldn't suck on it. You'd need lips. Not to say he didnt have lips but... the kind you can use to drink out of a straw or kiss people. Winter found herself puckering like a fish while thinking this and suddenly turned red with embarrassment. Hopefully noone was looking!
"Refreshments? Already? Well I could never turn down a mug of hot chocolate!" Reece grinned and accepted the warm cocoa from the vendor. This place sure was done up fancy. All the booth looked professional. Every pine tree was decorated and there were lights hung everywhere for effect.
Jess laughed loud and obnoxious ducking the cotton snow ball, ears flattening as it whizzed by. "Best shot?" She shouted and flung back, baring her teeth and puffing up her tails to make herself look bigger. She was big and strong and intimidating! She would not let him get away, even though she had started it.
Because it had just been too easy to do. He had just been standing there completely open for a snowball down the shirt. And She needed to shove a snowball down someone shirt, it called to her. Jess ready another snowball humming slightly. She would be the snowball king!
“Not at all, please be welcome,” Fiammetta replied, motioning to the free seats. “I certainly could use the company, and perhaps Sanlen could become friends with your, mmh? Sibling?” She thought she heard something close to Sissy. “I’m Fiammetta, but Fia is fine.” She added, giving a bright smile trying to be charming.
She paused as a bunyip approached seemingly dragging about plushie. Mmh? And then just sort of slumped right against her leg, rubbing its shaggy hide all over her skin…. “Are you claiming me?” She muttered and reached down, carefully touching the puff of fur. Okay that was cute.
Sanlen waved to Kean, pressing closer to their big sister. “Um…. Hi,” they said softly, uncertain about the pair joining them. Was it going to be okay, Fiammetta seemed happy and they seem sort of nice. And they both had hot chocolate too. So, they couldn’t be bad.
“Oooh! It is so big.” They reached out, carefully just touching a bit of the shaggy fur of the bunyip close to their sister. Pet, pet,, pet. “Are you going to keep it?” Sanlen wonder if they could ride on the rather large familiar, or if it would be all to upset if they napped against it.

Kean listened as Fiammetta gave them permission to sit there. That was nice! He looked at Sanlen who had waved at him, and he enthusiastically waved back. "Hello! I'm Kean!" He said, happy that there was another freshling here. At least he, hopefully, wouldn't be stuck listening to his sister and the other older girl talking about boring stuff, like school.
He looked as the large familiar went up to the other pair, and his eyes went wide. "Wow! It's so big!" He wondered if they could get a familiar that large, or if one would come up to them, but decided against asking for it. After all, they both had 2 new familiars now that they both needed to take care of and didn't have any space for a very large third one for either of them! However, it seemed that one of the plushie vendors was now going around asking everyone to please take a plush as they went around each of the benches, and Kean was more than happy to! He asked for one of the small blue vespercat plushes to go with his sisters, though he would be keeping this one, and once he got it, quickly put it into his stocking so that he wouldn't spill any hot cocoa onto it.
He looked back at Sanlen. "What school are you in? I'm in Arkham!"

Talia's fennekits were still sniffing around the table, especially at the candy. Talia wasn't sure exactly what fennekits ate, but she was quite sure it wasn't food like hers. And especially candy. But it seemed that they were quite interested in it and wouldn't leave the table unless she got some.
She sighed, and grabbed some peanut brittle and put it into her stocking. "All right kits, you need to follow me. I got some and now we should go somewhere else, all right?" Luckily the fennekits wanted to follow her and so moved from around the table back to her and surrounded her. She felt herself feel a bit embarrassed with three fennekits around her, but at least they didn't seem to want to claw into her stocking for the brittle.
Talia's Stuff:
Lailah followed Talia over to the trinket table, though declined to take anything herself. Sure, she could have taken some candy canes or something, but she decided that she wouldn't be eating too many bad things today. But she did want to have another book, and politely asked for a copy of the Little Voidmaiden book to put in her stocking.
At this point her jackalope was content to follow the fallen around, wondering what was going on, but feeling safe with the freshling.

Qilanna smiled at Fiammetta. "Thanks! Hopefully they can be, though it seems like making friends is a lot easier when you're younger at least." They didn't have most of the prejudices and what they liked and didn't like quite settled in yet at least.
When the bunyip went up to the other too, Qilanna was just as awed as Kean. "What a cutie." She said, wanting to touch it but deciding not to since it clearly was only interested in the other two. She wondered if Fiammetta was going to keep it also. Qilanna might have kept one of the larger familiars, but since she had already gotten a vespercat by the time she could have chosen one, she had declined. "I wonder what that is." Suddenly she realized she had forgotten something! "Oh! I'm Qilanna and this is my little brother Kean." Fiammetta had already introduced herself to Kean and Qilanna, it was sad that Qilanna had forgotten to do so in a timely manner!
