Hobbies:
Writing/Calligraphy - Howl has a very steady hand and likes to use this to his advantage. He practices writing in calligraphy during his free time in hopes of making his letters extremely elegant.
Fencing - Part of the reason why Howl has such a steady hand is that he had been raised to fence since he was little. He is not the most skilled in this arena, but he is able to sufficiently defend himself should he need to.
Gardening - Being a relatively gentle soul, he can give flowers the nurturing that they need to bloom. Even in the dorms, he still keeps a potted plant to take care of.
People watching - People are such interesting creatures, or at least Howl thinks so. He can spend much time in a public location, like a cafe, just watching people to see how they act. This hobby is much more mild now than it used to be. Before he went to Hillworth, he took this hobby to the extreme where he got a restraining order as a result.

Virtues:
Refined -- Howl appreciates the finer things in life and in turn, acts quite mature. Rarely (if ever) can he be seen acting childish, and usually can come across as a good example. He is very particular about his mannerisms and will make certain to not act in a fashion that would embarrass or shame himself. Commonly his mannerisms are also read as effeminate.
Kind -- Despite how unapproachable he can seem, Howl is actually quite kind. He takes great care in the well being of other people. He is especially well behaved with other students at school and with others he works with.
Cooperative -- Howl works well with nearly everyone. He is not out to look for a fight, and he aims for solutions that will benefit everyone as best as possible. He makes a splendid subordinate as a result. Occasionally submits to one of his flaws and looks out for himself instead of the group though.
Observant - Howl is the young man who will notice when someone got a haircut or is wearing a new shirt. He's the one who would notice when a girl is not wearing a ring she is usually seen wearing. He's the one who remembers that a friend prefers his coffee with cream and a teaspoon of sugar, no more, no less. He'll remember little details, and if for some reason he suspects he won't remember, he will write down the information in his journal. If anything, his observant ways are probably what led him into watching people the first place.

Flaws:
Indecisive -- Howl tends to flip flop ideas through his head, usually weighing both positive and negative perspectives on anything. Doing such makes it hard for him to make any snap decisions. It prevents him from making a good leader.
Vain -- Howl is beautiful and knows it. Though he is not outwardly obnoxious about it, he will go out of his way to remain beautiful in near any situation. He will sometimes make decisions that are not in everyone's best interests SOLELY because he doesn't want to get his boots dirty or some sort of petty reason. Usually this is the only reason why he'd make a decision against orders.
Obsessive -- He can get quite fixated on objects and people rather easily. When he finds something to fixate on, it can make him seem a bit distanced from others. Or if you are the object of his affection/fixation, you might end up feeling uncomfortable. During his time at Hillworth, he has been becoming less fixated on particular objects and people through therapy (it is assumed he is also taking medicine).
Guarded - There are few that Howl will call a "friend" over the title of "acquaintance," and even fewer that he can genuinely say he trusts. Perhaps it is just his formal mannerisms getting in the way of forming any close relationships, or maybe it branched off from some of his obsession issues, but Howl is not an open book to be read by anybody. If there is a way to avoid mention of something he doesn't want a person to know, Howl will take that route by tastefully omitting key details or changing the topic altogether.

Physical Description:

Hair: His hair is a rich turquoise blue. It is long and usually swept up in a high ponytail. When outside of school/class, he wears 2 golden hair sticks with turquoise colored gems hanging off the ends. When in class, he usually doesn't wear such, just because he'd get in trouble.

Eyes: Turquoise in color, extremely feminine in appearance (he has longer eye lashes than the usual guy)

Face: Fair skin, extremely feminine in appearance/shape. No blemishes, beauty marks, or freckles. He has his left nostril pierced with a gold stud. He also wears two dangling earrings (one on each ear) with gold onsets + long turquoise colored gems hanging down.

Body: Fair skin, slender, and lacking in vast muscular structure. Comes across as feminine as a result. His height is 5'8"

• Howl was born in Westdale, a city close to Destiny City. However, at a very young age, he and his parents basically moved to England (close to London where his parents were from). They still occasionally visited their home in Westdale, but until the age of 10, Howl basically lived in England. As a result, he has maintained his accent.
  
  
• Until the age of 8 years, Howl had kept his hair cut short. However, there were frequent problems with people still mistaking him for a little girl solely based upon his face. After that point, Howl decided to grow his hair out, thanks to much encouragement from his mother. It was his mother who encouraged him to embrace his physical appearance rather than to hate it.
  
  
• Every summer, his family goes to England for a month-long vacation. The vacation usually starts on July 1st and ends July 31st.
  
  
• Howl has a very delicate stomach. He gets physically sick if he has to eat food with moderate amounts of grease. He tends to prefer eating fruits and vegetables over meats, and is frequently labeled as a vegetarian by mistake as a result. He does enjoy eating (cooked) fish on occasion.
  
  
• Prior to Hillworth, Howl attended school at Crestworth in Westdale. It was basically the equivalent "exclusive" level as Crystal is in Destiny City, but both young men and women were able to attend.
  
  
• Prior to Hillworth, Howl had only been exposed to minor levels of bullying based upon his looks. All of it was verbal tormenting, since it was considered superior to physical rough-housing in his schools.
  
  
• Howl has only owned 1 pet in his entire life, and it was a beta fish. He loved Sebastian's long fins because they reminded him of the sleeves on a kimono.
  
  
• One of Howl's greatest fears is drowning. He is not a very strong swimmer and had a bad experience as a young child dealing with nearly drowning in a neighbor's pool. As a result, he is not very fond of swimming in pools, lakes, or any other body of water.
  
  
• Howl's allergies consist of specific animal furs (cats and rabbits are part of this list) and bee stings. He has no food allergies. The animal fur allergy is mild, only causing eye irritation, but the bee sting allergy is life threatening.

Challenge: "Test the waters at the Edge of the Tide"

Weapon:

Page - Pinion of the Sea: Quill/feather pen using a swan feather. Nysa treats this item with extreme care. No magical properties.

Squire - Quill of the Ocean: At one point, it was still a swan feather quill pen with a teal ribbon tied to the base. However, after learning of a shared interest with his ancestor, it transformed from one quill to another. No longer merely a feather, the quill is now a fencing sabre made of seashell. It has a swan feather and ribbon upon the hilt to commemorate the previous weapon-form. The very tip of the sabre is the only sharp component, but it is more "pokey" than anything. It has the potential to make very shallow cuts upon a surface/skin, but cannot make a cut much beyond a millimeter in depth. The weapon itself is brittle like a weaker seashell and requires much care to prevent it from snapping in combat.

Magic: While concentrating upon his weapon, if he touches an opponent with the tip of the seashell Sabre, this magic takes away some of the opponent's grace. The opponent would be more prone to tripping up on their own feet and less likely to dodge attacks. The effect lasts for 30 seconds.

Knight - Edge of the Tide, or "Tide's Edge": A fencing sabre made of much stronger seashell (similar in strength to metal). The swan feather/ribbon has changed to golden adornments about the hilt, still taking on a feather-like shape. Has potential to make slightly deeper cuts, but the cuts still are very superficial (maximum of 2 millimeters in depth).

Magic: While concentrating upon his weapon, if he touches an opponent with the tip of the seashell Sabre, this magic takes away some of the opponent's grace. The opponent would be more prone to tripping up on their own feet and less likely to dodge attacks. The effect now lasts for 45 seconds.










Summon: Fleurette ~ An Odelian, a large swan-like bird with very minor differences in anatomy to a swan, though approximately 6 feet in height.
Basic Ability: The summon is a peaceful sort and will never outright attack. She herself can fly, but her body cannot support the weight of another individual, so she cannot be ridden.
Special Ability: Swan Song ~ The summon sings out a beautifully sad song, but it is meant as a last resort. Any who hear the summon's song (whether ally, enemy, or even Nysa himself) will be struck with incredible grief. Those who are closest (within 10 feet) will not be able to block out the sound very readily, but those who are further away can still potentially hear it, but it is more likely that they can block out the sound as well. All who hear the song will find themselves down on their knees. The summon dismisses herself after the song, essentially "killing" herself, but those affected by the song will still remain grief-stricken for 45 seconds (stage 1-3) or for 25 seconds (stage 4) after the summon dismisses herself. (OOC Note: think of this as Pokemon's "Perish Song" in a way)

Nigel Wickham - Howl's Father. A strict man with high expectations and a high sense of professionalism. He is 5'11" and the CEO for a British based TV station. He frequently has to fly back to Europe for business meetings, though he also has been known to do teleconferences instead if he is not up for travel. He is a big fan of Rugby. He is the one who shaped Howl into the ridiculously polite young man he is today.

Anastasia Wickham - Howl's Mother. An extremely lovely woman who is kind and gentle. She is 5'6" and works in modeling. Most of her work usually revolves around basic fashion lines found in common stores. She is kept quite busy with business meetings, dealing with her publicist, and tending to a rigorous photo shoot schedule. She enjoys classical music and the arts and was very supportive of Howl's endeavors prior to his situation with Amelia. She is much more fond of her homeland and can act a bit condescending to people she considers "Yanks."

Novelty frame - It has a photograph of himself and his former roommate, Franz on Howl's 16th birthday. At one point, it was left face down on his desk with a lovely photograph of Amelia, the girl Howl "left behind."

Flower pot - At the moment, there's nothing inside of it, but Howl has plans to plant a plant of some sort. He wants to keep in touch with his gardening skills, even in the stale dormitory.

Calligraphy paper and pens - Howl considers beautiful writing to be a virtue. He practices every night, making use of his steady hand (from years of Fencing lessons).

Journal - On a similar note, Howl enjoys writing down his thoughts in this book. He considers it a good practice and uses it as extra practice with his calligraphy.

Fencing equipment - Currently it is stored in the gymnasium with all the school's fencing equipment. This includes his protective gear and his sparring sabre.
