He had about another week before his mother moved in with him. Though he was better off physically than the week before, he was still supposed to be taking things easy. However, as a determined soldier, he was willing to risk his health to seek out a lost princess.
Prior to his encounter with the unnamed Negaverse Captain, he had a rather set patrol path he followed. However, he was now exploring new territories he usually did not deal with.
This evening, he had been passing through the area near the mall when he distinctly sensed two different auras. One was that of a senshi. The other was that of a youma.
The Squire had two options. He could pursue the youma in his weaponless state and get injured further. Or, he could pursue the senshi and interrogate her about what she knew about Neptune.
The answer was easy: Pursue the Senshi.
Making his way towards the aura of order, the Squire ventured to call out "Miss Senshi?" as he cut across the parking lot of the Mall.

Hypnos felt pride in her new wings and it gave her a bit of a bounce to her step as she crossed the mall parking lot. A net in her hands, she was following the trail of a youma before the power signal of someone else caused her to stop in her tracks. Blue eyes looked around as she scanned the area before she heard a small echo of someone calling out.
"Huh?" Her voice slipped out softly as she pinpointed the source, her eyes landing on a man in blue approaching her.

The amount of energy being put out by the senshi's aura had led the Squire to believe the one he was approaching was a senshi of the most basic level. However, as he managed to approach, it grew painfully obvious that the young lady he was approaching was a young lady. And one that had the highest level of ability if he got the senshi structuring system correct.
Once within a more respectable distance, the Squire greeted the chibi senshi in a manner far more formal than friendly.
"Evening, Miss Senshi. Would you be available for a moment or two so I may inquire a couple questions?"
It was quite evident he only wanted to ask his questions and move on with his evening. He hadn't even introduced himself, since that would take precious time that he did not want to waste.

The repetition of the term 'Miss Senshi' caused Sailor Hypnos to shuffle around on her slippers as she swayed back and forth in minor thought. She wasn't opposed to answering questions but her eyes expressed disappointment. She shook her head and changed the net from her left hand to her right hand as she gave a small bow to the squire.
"It would be my pleasure to answer some questions if you introduce yourself to me and address me as Hypnos, please and thank you," she said with a rather fragile smile.

It might have been more charming for the young senshi to demand an introduction as she gave her own if he weren't pressed for time. Not even a hint of a smile found a way to his lips.
"I will call you 'Miss Hypnos' if you would prefer. And I go by Nysa, Squire of Neptune."
His eyes momentarily fell upon the net which the child shifted from hand to hand, but it was of no interest to him at that moment. Despite his serious air, he was respectful enough to look the child in the eyes as he put his questions out in the open.
"Have you ever heard of a senshi that went by 'Sailor Neptune?' Or if possible, have you ever encountered a 'Sailor Neptune?'"

A smile grew across Sailor Hypnos' face as he said 'Miss Hypnos' and further as he introduced himself finally. Satisfied, she was willing to listen to his question. She stood there quaintly with both of her hands crossing over each other as the net fell between them. With it, her head tilted slightly as she thought about his question. Carefully and without haste, the small senshi wanted to be sure of her answer.
"I might have but no one has ever introduced themselves to me as such. At least, not that I can remember. Three years is quite a long time to remember everyone I've encountered in this life," she said thoughtfully.

The response he received was perhaps the most teasing one he had received in all of his endeavors. There was a potential promise of information, only for her to cop out over the excuse of time and a lack of formal introductions.
He offered an observation of his own. "You seem to be the sort who will not let someone pass without a formal introduction, Miss Hypnos." That said, he could only figure that the young girl had never encountered Sailor Neptune.
He might have mentioned something about the number of years the child had been involved in the strange magical war. If he were to guess, it was approximately 1/4 of her life. However, he was not truly interested in learning more of this chibi senshi's endeavors.
He looked as if he was ready to walk away, putting less weight upon one of his feet before he asked "Will you be attending to the youma towards the opposite side of the mall?" He had noticed it, but with the way he seemed to be ready to turn, he was heading in the opposite direction.

Sometimes there was no chance for introductions but Hypnos did prefer them whether she got around to them at the beginning or end of a meeting. Sometimes people didn't stick around, and sometimes people simply refused to give their name. It didn't happen to her often, at least not the latter, but sometimes she did meet people who simply weren't so willing.
"That is true but not everyone is," she said almost mournfully.
She stood there waiting for his next question, assuming there would be another since he asked if he could ask a couple, but another question didn't follow and Nysa appeared as if he was going to walk away. She tilted her head and frowned a little only to perk up again when he finally asked another question. However, it wasn't a question he was expecting.
"The youma?" She sounded surprised as she asked. "You won't be?"
Not that she wanted him to go off and kill it when she could try and save it but it seemed unusual.

Her inquiry caused him to pause in step. In his new position, he lifted up a hand and brushed the glove-covered appendage through his bangs, tossing it casually to the side. With a side glance, he made his position upon the subject evident.
"My duties do not lie with vanquishing mindless beasts, Miss Hypnos..."
For a moment, he glanced down to his hand, subtly looking over the gilded signet upon his ring finger. It was all he needed to see to remind him of another aspect of the situation.
"...and I am quite ill-equipped for such a task." With the back of his hand, he gestured to the object the child had been fussing with during their encounter.
"You seem better equipped for the job."

The sentence was out of Nysa's lips and immediately Sailor Hypnos' mouth opened a bit. Her expression was a mix of surprise and confusion with a hint of hope. Did this mean he did not seek to destroy them like everyone else did? She seemed to smile a bit before he corrected himself to be ill-equipped for the task instead. More confused than surprised or hopeful now, Hypnos didn't know much about knights to know they used weapons to harness magic or that Nysa was currently without his.
"Whatever do you mean? No one has ever dared say I was more qualified than they were before," she said softly.

There was a sense of pride that Nysa had which made this whole situation unbearable. He was in no mood to admit all of his (many) faults, nor was he in the mood to explain the events which had led to his current weaponless state. Perhaps the Squire was still in denial about how things were truly not going his way.
"It means what it means, Miss Hypnos..." he said in a noncommittal tone.
He fully turned away this time, once more brushing his fingers through his bangs. In a distanced tone, he uttered in a low voice "I only have one duty to attend to..."
Before he bound off, he was willing to bid the child a farewell.
"Miss Hypnos... have yourself a safe evening..."

The response she got drew mixed emotions from Hypnos. The unwillingness to explain things from Nysa and the indescribable muttering that she could not make out after Nysa turned away. She moved to follow after him after he did so but immediately she fell back to herself knowing it was not her place when there was a youma demanding attention in the distance.
"It was nice meeting you," she said as she turned away to attend to the youma.
