Roxy liked to think she knew the downtown streets and routes pretty well, she had lived in Destiny all her life after all. But even after so many months of being a her new school - which she still didn't know why she was there - she was finding that there was a lot more to the city streets than she realized. For a while she got lost going home or finding the usual after school stops. This unnerved the girl who was keen on her sense of direction, frustrated her to no end and for a week she vowed never again to venture outside.
This obviously didn't last and after some time she finally found herself enjoying the sense of adventure in finding new placed along the way home and even just new routes. Today she had stopped at a cute little cafe on one of the few busy streets near a small shopping center. It was a little out of place with the rest of the uniform businesses, but it was what caught her eye really.
After placing her order and taking her little placard so the server could find her, Roxy decided to seat herself outside. It wasn't as chilly today and she was bundled up warmly enough to brave it. But as she got to the door and slowly pushed it open. Perhaps she was going to regret this decision as a flood of people went screaming past her. The blonde tried desperately to close the door to barricade herself in - and fine, the others inside as well - but her efforts were lost as someone knocked into her and sent both of them to the ground.
"Hey!" She yelled, this could leave a stain!
"There's a monster!" The guy who had collided with her screamed back, not even doing the gentlemanly thing and helping her up. Nope, he got up and ran to save himself. The jerk.
"A what?" Roxy called out, confused, still on the ground.

A teal-haired fellow had been patrolling the area when one of those pesky youma showed up. It had been in a relatively crowded area too, which made things even more tricky. He couldn't distract the monster from all of the civilians running about screaming. So the best he could do at the moment was linger close to the creature and look to see if any of the civilians were in need of his assistance. Fighting the creature was against his principles, but saving those who were unable to save themselves was within his abilities.
Eventually the Page managed to spot a rather horrid little display. If his father had witnessed it, the belt would have been lashed at the rude monster of a boy. He practically ran into a girl, then left her behind as he seemed to slink off like the coward he was!
Tucking his feather into his coat, the Page of Neptune ran towards the blonde girl, pausing in place just long enough to snatch her up off the ground in his arms in the classic "over the threshold" style. Behind him a decent distance away (but close enough to be concerned) the girl would be able to see what they were all running from. Nysa couldn't afford to look back.
"...it is a youma... I beg your pardon, but we need to get out of here." Clutching onto the girl in a nearly protective manner, he then began to run, his eyes scanning the area to try and find the best path out of the rampaging youma's path.

The commotion and whirl of being knocked down and getting told there was a monster on the loose had affected Roxy more than she had guessed it seemed. The blonde had all intentions of getting up herself but before she knew it she was in the air and held close and protectively.
"Oh!" She gasped upon realizing she had been picked up, her arms going around the boy's neck without much of a thought. Well, this was kind of nice. Especially after that other rude guy and from the looks of things, she got the better end of some sort of deal here.
In Nysa's arms she obviously couldn't see the whole picture but his complexion, his nice face and oh man, his hair. Well, no complaints here - though, was that a shell under her arm? And when he spoke, Roxy could almost feel her heart go a flutter. He had an accent, the blonde had to really stop herself from swooning right then and there.
His explanation at least managed to bring her back to some sense of reality. Her head turned to look upon what was causing such a stir and her eyes flew open from the sight. Humanoid, purple and looking honestly like some weird grasshopper or something. The blonde didn't really get quite what he was trying to get at with the term 'youma' but she was getting the hint that perhaps it was bad and didn't object to his declaration of running.
Her arms went around his neck a little tighter when he went on the move, her yellow eyes still on the weird creature guy when something else caught her eye. A girl in a short skirt. And not just any short skirt, it was something akin to what she had seen in the Surrounding but she couldn't be too sure really.

The girl seemed to make herself more comfortable quite easily, which the lad was glad for. He was certain some girls might have started struggling, despite how the situation was going. It was quite nice that he was a bit stronger in this form, easily able to tote the girl off as he managed to locate an escape route. He might not have been able to achieve such a feat as Howl Wickham.
Yet now, as a Page of Neptune, he managed to locate a nearby wall. Effortlessly, he leaped up so that his shoes touched the top briefly before he sprung up to the nearest rooftop. He wasn't even winded by such seemingly impossible actions.
On the flat concrete rooftop, he finally felt the girl was safe enough to stand upon her own two feet. With a slight smile and a sigh of relief, he leaned forward to gently guide the blonde's feet back to the ground beneath her.
"I apologize for whisking you off so swiftly, Miss... but I believe that action was needed immediately in that situation."

Roxy's attention immediately pulled from the girl fighting the monster back to her savior when he went up the building and onto the roof with relative ease. Her yellow eyes widened, turning to stare at his profile right in front her her face. Okay, something had to be up here with this guy.
She continued to stare at him, eyes wide even as he gently set her down and explained his actions. "Roxy," she said suddenly, trying to supply him with a name and for a moment wishing she had used the code name she had used for often on her previous adventures.
"And thank you," Roxy added quickly with a small blush. He had saved her after all, even though she wanted to launch into a few questions. Which were only fueled now that she was getting a better look at him. Handsome was a word best to describe good looking men, but honestly with this guy beautiful seemed a little more fitting. His hair she had gotten a look at, but he was well tailored and well dressed and... well, wow. And those were shells on his shoulders.
A few things coming together. This didn't seem like her types of costumes, "are you..." She began, unsure of how to phrase it without getting angry. It still kind of pained her to think about those people, so the best she could do was to look over her shoulder and back at the girl on the streets. Roxy's suspicions confirmed with the hint of magic filling the air as the female soldier below attacked the purple guy. The blonde pointed down, her brows narrowing and her voice a little bitter, "like her?"

The Page was not a fan of nicknames, but he didn't show his distaste in his expression, keeping it absolutely pleasant as the girl seemed to give him a look up and down. "Would I be too bold if I were to venture that 'Roxy' is short for the name Roxanne, Miss?"
His eyes were upon the golden pair of the girl as she began to look to the side of the building towards the youma and nearby senshi. He was slowly starting to get the hang of this whole power-signature sensing thing. As he watched the girl watch the situation on the street level, he heard her tone rather easily switch to something more condemning.
Carefully, he replied "I am not like her." Extending a hand to the girl in an effort to get her hand, he then introduced himself to give her a further idea as to who he was. "I am Nysa, Page of Neptune." He glanced to the girl, tilting his head and allowing his smile to widen slightly in an effort to ease the girl's nerves.

Roxy turned back to the Page when he asked her about her name, "yes," she simply answered. There was still a little resentment in her voice but it was suddenly mixed in with a hint of a questioning tone.
Her gaze traveled from his smiling face, really she could just melt from how it just radiated on his face, to his offered hand. Roxy couldn't help but place hers in his thinking simply that he was going to shake it. "Page?" She questioned, however, not understanding. "Of Neptune? What does that mean?"

With her hand in his, he momentarily took a pause from the conversation to dip down and place a gentle kiss upon the knuckle of her hand. Just as easily as he had taken up her hand, he soon enough released it back into the wild, straightening himself up in the process.
"I have been told it means I am a Knight, but as for a true definition, I am still working on figuring this out. In the meantime, it means I defend the innocent from such abominations as the youma, creatures created by the Negaverse."
He could have also mentioned how he tended to ally himself with the senshi, who also did the same as himself, but considering the tone she had taken earlier, he figured it would wisest to leave out such details.
The senshi and the youma were still down at the street level. He could still feel their auras. So instead, he brought up one of his own concerns. "You were outside of the cafe, were you not, Miss Roxanne? I hope I did not cost you a meal due to all of the chaos earlier. If I did, I have to apologize."

Well. Roxy was certainly surprised by this boy's actions, obviously so as a rosy blush spread across her cheeks. She knew nice boys well enough, Grant came to mind for sure, but chivalrous behavior like this ... well, it wasn't that common. It was something like in movies or stories, guys these days barely held open doors anymore.
It was nice, only making Nysa seem all the more appealing and perhaps even more radiant in features. Roxy's hand hovered for a moment even after he had released it and furthered his explanation. "Well," she began when she found her voice again. Her blush was still annoyingly present, "you totally look the part of a knight," she smiled, "dashing and well dressed."
Finally, she found herself regaining her composure. Enough even to take a brave step forward and brush at one of his lapels and flatten it back down against his chest. Aa, the fabric to his jacket felt so nice against her fingers. "I was, but you didn't," the blonde relied with a shrug, "I had ordered but not eaten it so hopefully it'll still be there when that thing is dealt with."

Ah, rosy cheeks. Any real man had to confess that they got a guilty pleasure out of making a girl look even remotely vulnerable with such cheek coloration. Silently, the Page admired his handiwork.
That was, until the girl did something he hadn't quite expected.
She touched him. Her gesture was one that seemed to be admiring the clothing he was wearing, which was true to a few of the words she had just offered him, but it also held an amount of intimacy that the lad was not as prepared for. He didn't try to buck her hand away with any sudden movements, nor did he let his expression alter from the pleasing smile touching his lips. The only hint that anything had changed as a subtle touch of pink that colored his cheeks.
Even his voice seemed unaffected, as he rather easily replied "You are quite kind, Miss Roxanne. I thank you and have to confess I do agree with your assessment." The girl had long reclaimed her hand back, so he took a step back before offering a full body turn around. It seemed as if he was well practiced in such an art, and in all honesty, it made sense. His mother had high standards for fashion and was a model. Growing up, she had made him do such a little trick so she could assess the full outfits that were selected for him.
Not that Miss Roxanne needed to know all of this.
Once he had completed the 360 degree turn, he stopped in place and stepped forward again to where he had been to begin with. "I hope that your food is waiting for you as well. If it is not, then I may have to insist upon making it up to you." The moment he had said such, he rather easily realized that his words could have been mistaken as a request for a date.
Which had not been his intention at all.
Oh dear

The slight shade of pink didn't go unnoticed from Roxy's eyes but her only reaction was a small set of giggles with a broad smile. Score one for Roxy's side it seemed?
"Hey, I say what I see," she explained like it was nothing at all, trying to keep up her composure during this whole situation, as Nysa pulled away from her. The blonde made a motion to object until he spun around for her. Allowing her to see more of his outfit, and really perhaps just a little bit more about him. His pivot was elegant, the way he carried himself was graceful. The title of a Knight really suited him, like the old fairy stories told about. Or maybe more appropriately a Prince? Knights usually had armor and swords and he hadn't proven his worth in a battle.
That thought made Roxy actually a little curious if he could. Her eyes briefly glanced down to the fight below, which seemed to be finishing.. the senshi winning with ease. The Page had been with her the whole time, perhaps just to protect her?
Or, ask her out? Her brows pushed up at his offer to make up for her lunch and she couldn't help but blush once more. "Well... how could I resist such a wonderful offer?" Her face felt like it was heating up quiet badly now even though she was smiling coyly - and trying to keep a straight face. Oh how she wanted to break into giggles.

If there was one thing he could note about this Roxanne, it was that she was very expressive. One moment she was blushing sweetly, and the next she was almost gloating. And the next she was blushing even more intensely thanks to his poorly worded phrase.
It was easy to tell from the tone of her voice that she truly had taken the statement the wrong way. He had literally planned to give her some money to pay for another order of food. Yet now, he could not tell her such. He was a gentleman, after all.
One of the two auras seemed to completely vanish. Fortunately, it was the darker one. For a moment, he glanced down to the street, only to catch a slight glimpse of the senshi rushing off. "It would seem, Miss Roxanne, that we are in the clear now. We can check to see if your food is ready or not. Then we will know if we need to make any further plans." Rather than scoop her up like he did upon their initial meeting, he once more extended his hand to her, allowing her to signal when she was ready to leave the roof top.

She watched the senshi run off, a small bit of relief rolling off her. For one thing, as Nysa stated to her, they were safe but also she wouldn't have to get close to the magical girl either. It had been a long few months after the Surrounding, and Roxy had no idea how she would really react if so near to one of those people.
Even though Nysa was kind of one of those people. But he seemed different from them, maybe it was his title or how he was treating her. Or well, maybe she was just blindsided by the outfit and his accent. All in all, she was at least willing to place her hand in his without complaint.

Taking the hand in his own as permission, he gently tugged the girl closer to him. He then guided her hand up to loop about his shoulder before releasing it. He put his own hand upon her back, then ducked in to scoop her up again, his other arm tucking itself underneath her knees.
It was only once she was in his arms again that he stepped closer to the edge of the roof and then made his way down in a manner similar to on the way up. However, this time he gave a bit of warning. "Hold on, Miss Roxanne." With that, he hopped quite easily back down to the wall, then back to the street level.
With the transport over, he once more set the girl back to standing on her own. "There we go!"

For a moment, Roxy feared she was going to lose it when Nysa pulled her close - man could this guy get her flustered - but there wasn't time from when he wrapped his arms around her close to when they made their decent down from the roof. For a moment, she was also glad that she didn't get her lunch, or that would be gone too - oh, her stomach could take thrill rides but this wasn't one of those... this was getting down a damned roof even with the little hops down the wall.
When their feet finally touched the ground, Roxy peeled herself off the Page still trying to feel as cool as a cucumber even with her hands shaking a bit. "That was interesting," she forced a chuckle as she straightened her jacket.
Her eyes drifted towards the cafe, noticing the patrons and employees were still trying to recover themselves from the attack. It didn't seem there was much damage, but lunch was still questionable. The blonde's attention turned back to the Page next to her, her hand drifting back to his uniform to straighten a few wrinkles her clinging had caused. "I think my food will be safe for now, or at least compensated due to a monster attack," she smiled genuinely. "Perhaps we could take a rain check?"
It wasn't that she didn't want to eat with him, if he was indeed offering. It just didn't seem like the conditions were right, "maybe another day? Another venue? A little less... panic in the air?"
