He had no weapon. He was not worthy of being called a "Squire." However, there had to be a way to prove himself to the Princess. If he found her, if he protected her, maybe he could show her how truly loyal he was. Maybe she could reinstate the weapon he lost, or supply him with a whole new one altogether...
It was the unknown that was driving him further into the abyss. All he needed was the princess, and that would solve everything.
With such a drive influencing his actions, the weaponless Squire had decided to patrol. However, it wasn't the typical patrol. No, it was a search for the spectacular woman he had only seen in a painting.
He had already passed at least 3 separate zones where a youma seemed to be loose. They were not his concern. A knight's concern was their princess. Any other fool out there was deluding him-or-herself if they thought otherwise.
Eventually, from his rooftop perch, he managed to spy a dark-haired senshi along the streets closer to a residential territory. He stood upon the rooftop for a while, looking her over intently.
Senshi tend to know senshi...
With such a thought guiding him, he hoped down to the street level. Despite the presence of yet another youma's energy nearby, the lad ignored the negative feeling and strode forward with purpose.
"Good evening, Miss Senshi," he said in a tone similar to a man running a serious business meeting. His arms were tucked away, folded behind his back as he stepped forward before he stopped a good 6 feet away from the young woman.
"You have a moment or two to spare?"

Eunomia was scowling off at some undetermined darkness, pondering if anything was hidden there. But her target had no energy signature, and she was so focused on it that she completely neglected a very obvious one until it was near her.
"Oh!" She was obviously startled, until she saw the dapper Neptunian the signature and voice belonged to, and relaxed some. "I could spare some," She offered, though she was obviously distracted by some phantom lingering over her shoulder.

The lad crossed his arms across his chest. Usually he wouldn't keep his body in such an uptight position. However, there was something in his subconscious that was dreadfully aware of how vulnerable he was at the moment.
Though this dark haired senshi had seemed willing to spare the requested moment or two, he was easily able to pick up on a sort of tenseness to her posture.
Rather than dwell upon the subject silently, he very openly prompted "Shall I take it that we are not alone, Miss Senshi?"

"I'm just looking for my little sister," Eunomia confessed, easily trusting of Order aligned allies. "Oh, but... I'm sure she went home. You needed something?"
She held her arms against her, suddenly embarrassed that her wariness was so obvious that it needed comment. She was serious about Dana being at home, even if it was mostly just wishful thinking.
"I can talk, I promise," She didn't want him to eschew whatever help he might be requesting on account of her off putting behavior.

The senshi seemed overly casual about certain things which Nysa would never consider. Even with an aura of order, one did not necessarily have to consider every knight and every senshi as an ally.
Though there were many questions he could have asked about the scenario that had just unfolded in front of him, the teal-haired fellow kept his eyes upon his desired prize.
"I wanted to inquire if you have encountered a senshi that went by the name of Neptune, or if you have ever heard word of a senshi with such a name before." He cocked his head silently a millimeter to the side as if to give the senshi permission to reply.

"I... What like the--"
"Like the planet?!" Dana Caffrey had, in fact, not gone home. Instead she had her camera strapped to her hand and was full on ready to catch some senshi activity.
But this conversation was too interesting.
"Do all the planets have senshi? I thought it went by mythology." It explained why she was an outlier with a simple dove constellation instead of a Greco-Roman Mythology figure, though.
"Dana!" Eunomia hissed, having finally located her target and pointed with her whole arm in the general direction of their house. "Go home."
"No no no, I wanna hear this."

The presence of the second (far younger) voice did not fall upon deaf ears. However, Nysa did not seem to even stir briefly as the younger teen seemed to jump into the conversation rather abruptly.
Without even budging from his previous arm-folded position, he made a simple observation. "I would like to think that you are not foolish enough to have called your sister by her actual name just now."
He eventually lowered his gaze to the shorter haired girl, noting the objects she toted about. "Pray tell, shall I take it you are a video journalist?" His inquiry was not even remotely conversational, seeming to almost take a sharper frigid tone.
Rather than directly answer the more invasive of the sibling pair, he turned away, as if gazing off to the distance (coincidentally in the same direction as the senshi had pointed). "I am investigating, Miss. I do not have substantial evidence to prove or disprove my theories at the moment, so I do not have a sufficient answer to supply for you."
Giving more information than he truly had intended, he then shot a look to both the younger, then to the elder of the sibling pair. "So, might I inquire if you have seen or heard of a Sailor Neptune in this city?"

Eunomia paused, and broke her glare with Dana to give Nysa a weird look. She was naive, and didn't think much of the fact because they were on the same side. She thought, at least. She had hissed it under her breath, not announced it to the world, but even then it was obvious she didn't have any defensive walls up around a fellow ally.
Until now.
"That sounds vaguely like a threat," She cautioned. She didn't like threats, especially in the presence of her very breakable civilian sister.
"Tryin' the be. What's your name?" Dana, however, was unfazed by the icy tone.
"I haven't met any Neptune senshi," Eunomia interjected around her sister's question. "So maybe you should go."

The taller of the girls was the first one to get teal eyes focused upon her dark blue ones. He didn't seem interested in sounding friendly at the moment, but he was willing to mention "It was merely food for thought, Miss Senshi. You hold no information for me it would seem, so you are of no real importance to me." Before returning his attention to the younger of the pair, he added "I would not threaten something that is of no use to me."
With that, he turned his attentions to the girl with the camcorder.
"My title is Nysa, Squire of Neptune." Were he less mindful of identities, he might have been polite enough to ask of the younger teen's name. However, it was not his place. Instead, he inquired "Do you make it a habit of patrolling with your elder sister? I would imagine it is quite dangerous, especially considering there is a youma approximately half a block from this location."
Yes, he had noticed the youma's presence, despite the fact he wasn't doing anything about it.

"Hey!" Dana took offense the fact she wasn't useful enough to be threatened, not even taking a moment to consider how that was kind of a good thing in this instance.
Eunomia's eyes narrowed slightly as she tried to get a read on this squire. What was wrong with him? Why didn't he act like an ally the way he was supposed to?
"I can take care of mysel--"
"Then why don't you go dust it," Eunomia cut off Dana's babble, making sure to distinctly emphasize the final words in that sentence, which was toned much more like a statement then a question. He was being reckless ignoring it in the first place, and it would make him leave.
"Just because Neptune's a frivolous part of your title doesn't mean she's a senshi. You have responsibilities to tend to anyway."

"You are quite 'to-the-point,' Miss Senshi."
It was an observation made without even sparing the senshi a look. Instead, his line of vision was upon the younger one who seemed very bent upon independence, despite seemingly tagging along like a lost puppy.
He ran his fingers through his long bangs, sweeping them to the side for a moment so two eyes were visible for a short period of time. "A Squire's duties are not the same as a senshi's. I have no need to dirty my hands over those brainless beasts."
He feigned a sort of arrogance, though he definitely was not nearly as prideful as he sounded at the moment. These ladies did not need to know about his lack of weaponry and his relatively useless status as a protector of Neptune.
"If you young ladies have no information to share with me, then I will take my leave."

"It's Order's duty, you arrogant p***k," Eunomia snapped. Who did this a*****e think he was, exactly? It couldn't have been the Neptune connection. There were other knights all over the place to other planets that weren't nearly so uppity or fixated on a flavor word in their names.
"Wait!" Dana had her own questions, though. "Why are you looking for her? Do you know her?"
That would be interesting.

Nysa was already painfully aware that neither the elder or the younger had the information he was seeking. The senshi's hostilities towards him also were not very difficult to notice, with her choice of harsh language and the slight increase in volume.
Had she not been present, perhaps the Squire would have attempted a response to the younger of the pair. Not that he actually had an answer for her.
So rather than attempt a response, the lad merely stated "It would seem as if I have worn out my welcome."
Had he been in a better mood, he might have attempted to wish them a good evening. However, such manners would be wasted on the elder of the pair. So without another word, he bound up from the street up to the nearest building, heading in the direction opposite of that of the youma.

"Wait! No, I--" Dana had so many questions. So many, but she was cut short when her super senshi sister grabbed her shirt collar and she had to put all of her mental focus on making sure she didn't drop her camera again.
"Damn right you have," Eunomia snarled as she was already walking away, shifting her grip to a much more secure hold on Dana's arm.
Also not in the direction of the youma.
She would hypocritically condemn him for this, but excused herself saying she had other responsibilities to take care of.
