✖ personality: Zindel is generally an easy-going troll. Having learned from a young age just how disgusting their troll society was, he grew to adapt himself easily, and pushes away others, learning not to get attached to anyone as trolls are born one day and die next. To list a few reasons as to why he hates their society so much-- it is filled with a lot of hardship and labor simply because of a color. Lowbloods are constantly seen as lesser and trampled on like insects. Just living is a risk-- the mentality of kill or be killed is something they all follow by heart. Gl'bgolyb is a constant threat, especially after the recent disaster with the last queen... Street-smart and pragmatic, Zindel looks for the easiest (and less costly) solution to a problem. He always chooses the most straightforward and practical route, choosing for the road taken by most instead of the path to the side. He knows when some punk is trying to weasel money out of him, and he knows the streets of New Hemisect like the back of his hand. He is neither impatient nor patient, instead, willing to wait for others depending on the situation. However, if he needs to go, he will without warning.
He is frugal and knowing, taking great care with his money, only spending it on things he needs. Often times he doesn't spend it at all-- With his deft fingers and quick movement, Zindel can easily swipe a trolls belongings and play it off by pleading and saying that he was just a lowly redblood-- how could he possibly ever hope to reach a coveted level such at theirs...? He was just a kid, he'd say dramatically... a harmless wiggler with no way to protect himself. Sometimes, when he doesn't manage to get any money, he lays himself down and begs other trolls for food or money, putting up the perfect act. Another thing Zindel does to gain money is dance. No, not ballet! (Though he will if you pay him enough.) He dances in a way his fellow street pals taught him-- with a lot of dramatic foot movements and flair. (coughs a little) They would play their instruments, and he'd preform for the others. Sometimes, he'd play the instruments himself— namely, the guitar, the flute, and some makeshift hand drums. He loves to play, and would like to learn better, but with his limited amount of beetles, he would rather spend it on food than enjoyment.
If he knows a troll that is in the same situation as he is, he will give them some of what he has, thinking— "us street crawlers need to stick together!" He has something of a Robin Hood complex gained from hearing ancestor stories about the guy the among his OHC allies— he follows the ancestors morals slightly. He steals from the rich and gives what he can to the poor. He doesn't like any type of highbloods, and would rather avoid them then see them as something other than moneybags. If he met one, he'd keep them at arms distance, then steal from them and completely disappear from their life.
Zindel hates the rebels. Mostly because he thinks their movement is stupid. Not only would their society end up in complete chaos and a huge mess— if lowbloods received more privileges and the caste system was abolished, then he wouldn't be able to live his normal, carefree lifestyle! He'd have to get down and do something. And he hated working... Working was for the drones. He would rather stay a street rat for the rest of his life than do something for their dystopian society. That's not to say that he likes the caste system. He hates it. But he wouldn't do anything about it...
If Zindel got into enough trouble to catch the attention of the military, he would run. At the end of the day, no matter what, Zindel is a coward, choosing to run away from a situation rather than face it head on. He risks himself with stealing for the excitement and need, but really, would run with his tail between his legs if seen, or try and fool them by acting like he was a pathetic lowblood, completely unable to take anything from them. No pain, no working, no trouble. That's his motto.

giving: Zindel is the type of troll who feels incredible guilt when he sees someone in need. Even though he sees many trolls every day, just like him, he could never get used to it. So instead, to make up for it, he gives what he has when he can. He eats enough to satisfy his hunger? He gives the rest to a nearby street ally. Hears someone asking for beetles? He hands over any extra he may have. It gives him a sense of accomplishment. He is mostly giving towards lowbloods, as he believes highbloods have enough. He is a bit trusting to those who have the same blood color, but usually he only gives to those who he sees go through hardship. They may be shifty, but in his mind, he thinks that trolls must do what they can to survive, just like he does.
✖ "Yeah, it's okay. I can deal."
adaptable: If he ever finds himself in a new situation, Zindel can easily mold himself to fit it. He can push his feelings back and act however others want him to for the right amount of coin, and will try his best to appease them. Zindel can put on a believable act to fit any scenario, and if he ever finds himself in a troublesome situation, he can find a way to adapt himself to it.
✖ "Whatever. No skin off my back."
easy-going: Zindel is a troll who doesn't let much get under his skin. He takes things as they come and accepts them, following his own pace. He doesn't pressure others to finish things and tries to keep everyone around him calm, similar to a peace-maker. If Zindel sees that a situation begins to get physical or volatile, he will not hesitate to turn around the way he came. If the situation seems manageable, he will try to contain it.

shameless: When it comes to getting himself out of a situation or getting money, Zindel will use any means necessary. He if he has to kneel on the floor and kiss a highbloods boots to get out of something with no other option, he will. If he has to do something ridiculous, he will. If he is forced to go against his allies... Depending on the pay out or on the allies in question, he will. He will be whatever you want him to, for the right amount of money... Or if you scare him enough.
✖ "D-DON'T HURT ME! PLEASE, I'LL DO ANYTHING!"
coward: There are many dangerous situations in Alternia, which means, one needs to find some way to defend themselves. To Zindel, that way was running away. His first thought in a battle is to escape it, first thought in an argument is to find a way to avoid it, or just leave althogether. He pushes the blame away from himself and cannot interact with others after a fight as he is scared something will happen to him. He hates confronting others, and one of his greatest fears is being captured... Or worse.
✖ "Leave me the hell alone. I don't need help."
untrusting: Everyone is a stranger to Zindel. Even those close to him— he is always suspicious, always analyzing to see if someone will harm him. This makes it hard for Zindel to trust others, and even harder to have a relationship with someone. Usually he creates relationships that are purely out of convenience. He focuses on keeping what relationships he may have at arms distance. He figures— if he isn't close to anyone, no one will hurt him, right? He would rather be alone than be broken up over someone. As he's a lowblood from the streets, he is used to being seen as lesser by other trolls as well as being ignored.
