**this is a rp from the main thread. main rp'ers were ferret, shree, and myself.. with chi and foxxers putting in minor side support**
Yuki was nestled in what would soon be the main dining room of the cafe, hammer in one hand and a few nails dangling from his mouth. A miserable expression was clamped over the nails... He tended to look depressed alot these days. Though instead of hiding in his house his human had made him come out to help for a bit and get some fresh air. Yuki sighed... then hammered in another nail to the floorboard.
Ness flew in through a window quietly landing not very far behind Yuki. "Well hello there stranger..." She turned around to lean back on a wall just to the side of where he was working, so that he could see her well. "Do you know what a pain it was for me to find this place? It's so far away... why are you working somewhere so far away?"
Equis was working outside again. as Shree had planned it of cource to keep him Away from the Candy that were so kind to help out today.
Equis was not upset about that. it was not very hot that bad, and the cloud cover blocked the fun from baking his black fur.
out of sight, out of mind... thats all he really needed to ignore the fact that some Candy... especially Male candy were working inside the Cafe... or what they had of the Cafe so far.
heaving a board upright, he narrowed his eyes in concentration, straitening it, and began hammering it on himself
Yuki blinked and glanced up at Ness as she flew in, blushing a bit, one nail still hanging from his muzzle. "Oh... Hi Ms. Ness..." He gulped then turned back to the board, hammering in the last nails before glancing back at her. "I apologize for burdening you... I was asked to help.. I didnt know that you would come visit me today.." He stood strait and turned to her, brushing his longer fur behind his ear.
Ness watched him. "Well... Do you really have to stay and do this stuff? Why do you have to do it anyways? Isn't this a cafe for coffees? And.. they don't even like us. Why can't we go.... and do something? Or... I can help you finish your work.. so it can be done.. and then we go out..." She looked hopeful, wrapping her tail around herself.
"would you like some help?" a gentle voice asked, from behind Equis. the Male Coffee turned to find the young Heritage. seems that Shree was getting most of the family to help today.
rolling a shoulder he stepped to the side, letting Heritage hold to board up while he nailed it into place.
unaware that they had gained another Candy guest.
Yuki frowned deeper and set down the hammer. "I'm here because my friend asked me to help..." Ears droop a bit and looks down. "Even if the coffees dislike us... this wont just be for them, its for candies too... and... im doing it as a favor... to my human.. and... coffees arent all bad anyway." He paused, then looked back to her. "If you want to, I guess I could take a break for awhile... What would you like to do?"
Ness made a fake pouty mouth when he said he was in fact going to stay and keep working. "Yes! Breaks are good... and.. when we're done, I'll stay and help you out. OK? That way it'll go faster." She spun around to stand behind him and lean her head into his back. "I didn't think about what I wanted to do. At first, I was just gonna take you back to my house, but I can't do that I guess. But, I would still like to stay and hang out with you.. Unless, you're getting tired of me." She wrapped her arms under his arms.
Arma: Walking about the border line between coffees and candy he went to find a place his human friend told him about. Moving his tail dead-like he kept on his search... not having the slightest thoughts on how coffees didn't like candies or whatnot. He couldn't identify himself with either. Pushing himself on his his tail dragging a tool box. He was a craftsmen anyhow..maybe he could be of some help. When finally hearing some hammering he stopped and peered where he saw a few coffees and candies lurking about.
Yuki blinked as she went behind him, her arms lacing around his thin waist. He frowned deeply, her pouting not helping his mood. "Ms. Ness... I'm sorry... But I made a promise that I'd finish the floor in this room." He paused, then let his paws cup over hers. "But a break will be nice."
Diego was setting a ways away from Fquis, working with a saw and cutting a few boards down to the right length. Well.... Kind of. He was standing at least three feet away from the dangerous device, using two long sticks to angle the boards and push them through the saw. It obivously wasnt working well... there was a large pile of mishapen wood beside the sawing table.
Even from standing behind him and not seeing his frown, she could hear it in his voice. It always made her feel bad when she was making him feel bad. In her mind, she blew it away deciding to make the best of it if she could manage. "Are you saying that I can't stay and help you? I can work.. I mean.. I don't really do it very often.. but, if you can do it.. I can do it... I'll help you. I bet we can get more done with two of us working together than just you by yourself."
Her tail wrapped around the side of her legs brushing up against his. "Yeah.. so let's have a break for now. And, when we're done, I'll stay and help.. but.. where is there even to go. Can we get something to drink and go somewhere?"
Arma seeing a darker blue numa with uped horn; he trotted on over to him. Slightly examining the wooden pieces then looking to where it needed to be put on. Without really asked he measured it with a measuring tape then looked at the other. "If you make a small mistake, we could still put corking to fix it." He said and moved back over to him. Holding the board with his paw. Being bigger than most candies and having an undead like attitude; his voice was deep yet gentle.
"You dont have to help me, Ms. Ness..." He turned a bit, frowning at her worriedly. "It's pretty hot. You might get hurt, or over heated... I really dont mind doing it myself. Your company helps enough..." Tries to smile alittle. "I think that.. perhaps a swim would be nice, after working all day..."
The loud roar of the saw interupted his hearing, and so he didnt notice the large candy until he was standing beside him. He yelped in suprise and scampered backwards, still holding the long poles as he flailed around, ending in him whacking himself in the face with one of the wooden sticks. He fell backwards on his rump and blinked up at Arma, then crouched and hissed. Though... when he didnt seem to pay much attention to him, and started sawing, he blinked and inclined his head to watch. If he wanted to work with the murderous blade, he could be his guest. HE wasnt going to cut off his arm!
Ness moved her arms from under this arms and wrapped them around his neck still behind him. "Of course I don't /have/ to, but I want to help you. and.. hey... I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself.. I won't get hurt. You don't have to worry..."
She protested and made up her mind to stick around and help him no matter what he said. Her ears perked up when he mentioned a swim. "a swim huh? I can't go into the water very deep.. but... Yeah. That does sound good.. and then you get the treat of seeing Miss Ness all wet." She let go of him and winked at him as she fluttered up in the air starting to get restless.
Arma: When the other fell back his reflexes were zombie-like, so trying to catch him before he fell was out of his grasp but he held out a paw to him to help him up. "My apologizes." He said in a low voice of sincerity. His tail holding some of the boards so they wouldn't fall on the stranger.
Yuki blushed. The idea of Ness wet didnt really occur to him until she mentioned it. He tried to smile nerviously, though it faltered a bit. "Oh... alright, I guess so..." He patted her paw then moved over to a cooler that was in the corner, filled with ice and sodas. If she stayed clung to him than he just dragged her along, showing a bit of strength to carry her piggy back style. "Thirsty?"
Diego blinked at his hand then frowned, scooting back away from him. "D-dont-t t-touch-ch meee!" He growled, crouching low and baring his tusks and horns. He was oblivious to the other two approaching candies, even as they spoke. He was stoo focused on this new... threat.
Ness loosened her hold on his shoulders, about to fly high in the air. "Yeah.. sure..." She flew around to the top of the cooler. "Yuki.. I'm gonna be stuck to you like glue today... It's gonna be great." She sat there confident and enthusiastic.
"Aww, c'mon brother~"
"...Why..?"
"Because, you've been inside too much. And this is perfect for you, silly~"
"..God.."
The two candy numas Mythic befriended were /delightfully/ going down the path towards the construction site. Celestial was actually pushing Victor, and Victor wasn't enjoying it.
"Victor..you make such a commotion. I mean, your acting like a pup!", Celestial scolded him, looking back at the track where she had pushed him all the way.
"Well, I'm in a slump right now. I just wanted to be left alone. But, no, you had to /make/ me go..", Victor growled, looking back at Celestial. Victor was also partially asleep, which was why Celestial was able to push the bat numa.
"Well, since we're here..I might as well.."
"That's the ticket brother~"
Victor shook his head, still letting her slide him as she was doing before. "Celest, you make me wonder sometimes how I can follow after you.."
"It's because of my awesomeness..", Celestial replied, grinning cheesy-like, even if Victor couldn't see it.
"Oh boy." Yuki chuckled, blinking up at her as she sat on the cooler. "I need you to get off so I can get a drink, Ms. Ness." He smiled a bit then offered a paw to help her down, even though she really didnt need it. "I suppose I dont mind you being stuck to me."
Arma blinked some confused. Why he didn't want to be touched. On the other hand most didn't like being touched like a curtain outer skeleton numa he knew. "hm?" he inquired, then turned to saw the boards in perfection. As his carvings were. He didn't like making mistakes; almost ignoring that the other didn't want him to touch him. He squinted one eye and started sawing at teh board; his tail wrapped around the other side of the board keeping it steady.
Diego growled at the candy, slowly crawling backwards. He'd just leave... thats it... He turned quickly, then spotted the other two candies coming down the path... His eye widdened and he yelped. "An ambussh!" He growled louder and ran around in a circle for a moment, then quickly scampered to hide behind the massive trunk of the tree.
She most certainly didn't /need/ his help, but she took it gracefully anyways. If for no other reason, then just to butter him up some more. Her feet didn't really touch the ground though. Her energy and excitement were giving just too much feed to her wings, and also because she loved to show off and give people the illusion that she were walking on air.
She then slid up right next to him, rubbing shoulders with him. "Oh come on now Yuki. I think you deep down want me to stick to you like glue. You just either haven't admitted it to yourself.. or are just not ready to admit it to me... but that's ok." She gave him another one of her coy smiles.
When the other scampered around in a circle. He had been done cutting the board. He walked monstrously; from his size making his residence sitting down in front of the tree. "What ambush? What are you talking about." He asked in a deep voice. Gentle. Like a big ogre would. His fins laid down his face and then to his shoulders. Having a face of something so soulless.
Yuki blushed more and smiled, watching her little moves with a bit of awe. "You're very beautiful, Ms.Ness." He let go of her hand after a moment and bent down to open the cooler and pulls two drinks out, handing her one. "I just said that I wouldn't mind being glued to you. I agreed with you." He opened his drink, straitened his glasses, then took a sip.
Her eyes twinkled and she smiled wide at his compliment. It wasn't studdered or stammered. She took her drink and gave him a half courtsy. "Why.. thank you good sir.. and, where shall we be taking ourselves to again? I do think you should... be a good sport and take my arm and lead the way."
Yuki forced a smile and offered his arm to her. "If you insist, my lady." This kind of talk seemed to amuse him, his smile real for a moment, it reached his eyes and made them sparkle. But the moment passed. "I think it'd only be polite to let the lady decide..."
Diego curled up, hidden from Arma's view. "More c-candies... ambush..." He peeked around the trunk at Celestrial and Victor, narrowing his eyes.
Arma looked and inclined his head to the side. "Candies. Yes there is candy but its not like its falling from the sky. Don't you eat Candy?" He thought about it for a moment. Not understanding this numas paranoia.
Diego snorted and glared at Arma. "C-coursse not-t!" Speaks with a heavy stutter, and misprounces some words. "I'mm a c-coffee..."
Ness took his arm as he had it there. "I do insist." She said it as she smiled flirtatiously at him. "Well, I am happy to go anywhere really. I hate to be redundant and sound so repetitive to say that I came out here to spend time with you. We could.. go sit by the water and dip our feet in it?"
Yuki nodded and smiled, holding her arm against his securely. "Alright. There is something called... an energy drink bog not too far from here. Its like... really caffenated soda. It's not too bad... Kinda bitter, but itll be cold." Still holding her arm, he started towards the door and stepped outside.
"Yeah. That sounds good. Bitter doesn't really phase me too much. And.. that sounds perfect." She smiled and walked with him outside. It was a different kind of hot and sunny in the swamp. It did strike her as slightly stiffling, but then.. heh. the swamp, coffees... stiffling could perhaps be fitting. "Well, you're leading, cuz I don't know where it is..."
Ness's nose twitched a little, picking up a faint and familiar scent. It made a few hairs on the back of her neck stand up, but she shook it off.
progress moved alot quicker with Heritage's help. and it was starting to put the Raver Numa in a good mood. that was of cource. until two figures made there was outside the Cafe... and unwisely at the exit he was working closest to.
drawn at first by the sounds of there voices, he recognized the female at once.... Ness, that little Candy female who had danced with him,
the other... a male, he knew only as one of the Numa in Ferrets family.
it might have been due to his rather... unluckyness with Female... or a certain female, or that he was beking asked to work on building this Cafe with other Candy... but it was mostly the posesive burning anger he felt flareing up inside of him.
a Male Coffee was with one of HIM girls!
not even Heritage had time to look around what what was makeing Equis growl, before he had his Dark claws wrapped around Yuki's chest. tearing the two of them apart and slamming the small Candy against a half finished fall of the Cafe. "wrong, Move" he thundered into the Candy's face
Victor had some weiird feeling going on in the back of his mind. Someone from his eyes was all too familiar, he knew not who it was, but..his feelings were with him of it. "....", he looked over to Celestial, who was totally still pushing him, and coughed.
Celestial looked to him, tilting her ears a little. "Something wrong?", she asked him, blinking curiosly.
Victor growled and held up a fist, "Will you let me walk for God's sakes!?", he yelled, his ears pinned down against his head. When he felt her pushing to make him slide no more, he turned around, the bottoms of his feet possibly worn from that. "..Thank you..", he mumbled, rolling his eyes.
Arma: Turns around to see the commotion and wonders why everyone is so tense and odd around here. He moved his body just a little over; then got up slowly to watch and see if there was something he could do. Or if it got worse than it is now he could help break it up. His sister seemed the same way as how these were acting,
Yuki didnt even have time to react, only yelping loudly and whincing as he was slammed against the wall. The wind was knocked out of him and he gasped for breath. What the heck?? He whimpered and stared up at Equis confused. "W-what??" He coughed out between gasps. "W-what'd I d-do??" Poor Yuki looked quite frightened... There was no way he could defend himself from a coffee. Let alone a huge one.
it was the last place he wanted to go... it was far to close to the Swamp for him comfort... but Shree had promised it was still in candy land. and since it was going to be the location of his new home, he thought he might as well check it out... even if it was from a distance.
it was something to do anyway, instead of hiding out in his cave, with no company to speak of.
the smell was something he was going to have to get used to... it was close to the Swamp after all... disgusting.
Now, if Ness had been a smarter or wiser numa, she would have stopped and paid heed to the prickling on her neck. However, she was a bit aloof when she was in a moment as she had been; but Equis's voice and the power of his tearing Yuki away sobered her right up. She dropped her bottle, and she started to fly up and try to get to the spot Equis was holding Yuki.
Ness loved to act all tough and brave, but at the moment, she wasn't sure what exactly to do. What was even happening? It seemed to her that at the very moment, Equis was much bigger and more dangerous than she had perceived of him up till then.
"Hey... Hey... what's.. what's going on? Equis... um... what are you doing? You're hurting him." Her eyes filled with worry.
Equis payed no mind to Ness, he didn't even act as if she was there. muzzled wrinkled back as he snarled at the unusually small candy easily grasped in his claw. he pulled the Candy off of the wall, thrusting his arm to the side and throwing him to the ground.
Heritage's eyes were wide as he sat back, frozen as he held the board up.
"yu...ki?" he knew yuki... even liked him, but some reason he was unable to move. watching as Equis started advancing towards the swan Numa.
Arma didn't notice Jayce around. Taking his large size to the commotion he stared. Deciding whether to move and pull the fighters away or. Dang he wished for Morgana to be here to decide it for him. Or Chi. Sighing he stayed at the doorway. His tail sliding from each side. Not noticing Heritage at first but then turning his head a lil. "Yuki? Which one is that?"
Yuki yelped again as he was thrown to the ground, crumpling there for a moment, still trying to catch his breath. He groaned and pushed himself up, looking over his shoulder as Equis came towards him. He clawed at the ground, trying to get the momentum to move away, and he finally was able to pull himself to stand and scamper a few steps away. "I didnt do anything!" He turned back to Equis, looking quite scared.
"Victor?", Celestial mumbled, looking to her brother. He just..stood there. oO Tugging on his arm, her sight went over, to the commotion, and she gasped. "Victor!", she screamed loudly, trying to get his attention.
"..What?", he turned around and saw the exact same thing.
Letting her paw go, he rushed over, keeping himself alert. "What happened?", he asked anyone who'd listen. Oh fighting..Victor really wasn't the type to want to do that. It made himself terrified, almost girly at the point. He seemd like such a big tough numa at times, but..it wasn't him
Ness balled her fists up as she stood there, tears coming to her eyes. She in her mind and her heart knew this was most likely her fault. She shouldn't have kept visiting Equis. He would never even fully accept her ever. It was an ironic twist of fate this would happen. Even in her vain imagining of making him jealous, it never once occurred to her something like this might happen. Yuki.... Every whelp from him made tears rush to her face, and her heart shatter into a million pieces.
She closed her eyes, swallowing her pride. As she reopened them with tears streaming down her face, she had to decide. She was going to make a choice. She didn't know what good it would do, but she had to do something. She couldn't just sit there and let him pound on Yuki. She flew as fast as she could and flew herself into Yuki covering him as much as she could. "NO PLEASE... STOP..," as she tried to wedge herself between them.
Equis paused for a mere second as she appeared in front of Yuki, seeming in that second... that maybe her words might actually work.
but the situation... just look amusing to him. not only was she a Candy, but she was a female, and one who dared toy with him at that.
"Teh" he breathed out a mock laugh, leaping forward, and landing with in inches from her, bringing the back of his claw up, to knock her into the air, removing her from his path.
"I didn't do anything" he mimicked Yuki in a mock pathetic voice. lashing his head down with a roar and sinking his tusks onto Yuki's shoulder. dragging him on the ground as he pulled his head to the side.
he didn't even have to come into view of the Cafe to know that something was wrong, he could hear the roars or a fight... screams and pleading. something he associated all to well with getting close to the Swamp. eyebrow raised as she quickend his pase, suddenly eager to find out what was happening.
he didn't beleave it at first, all Numa he recognized, the the blood draining from his face as he saw a figure of his nightmares. the massive glowing Coffee, attacking Yuki,
hearing a voice he did not recognize, seemed to snap Heritage out of his frozen shock.
turning around to see a Candy male standing there. he blinked, furrowing his brow sadly, and looked back at the fight.
"the little one" he said
he didn't know why he didn't interfere, a part of him wanted to save his friend... but a deeper instinct... liked seeing Equis doing this.
his eyes grew wider and wider as he watched, lips spreading apart, as his mind drifted off. silent tears beginning to streak down his face, dripping onto his tense claws
"Ness! Dont!" He managed to look concerned for a moment, until she was thrown from the path. He was relieved, for a moment.. At least the coming attack wouldnt hurt her... He braced himself, thinking that he'd be ok with the pain he knew would come. There was no way he could fight back after all, so he just laid there. At least, perhaps if he took out the aggression on him, he wouldnt hurt Ness anymore. As perpared as he thought he was, he couldnt stop himself from screaming as Equis' tusks burried into his shoulder. He still just laid there. He knew any thrashing or fighting would only make his wounds worse.
Ness's body after flying through the air hit the side of the cafe, and it fell to the ground like a ragdoll. Her tiny candy body was no match for the strength of an enraged coffee the size of Equis, not to mention the power with which he was fighting. After feeling like she was falling in and out of consciousness for a moment, she heard his cry. It made her eyes open even though the sky seemed to be swirling and spinning.
"Yuukii...." it was probably not heard by anyone unless they were near by. It was broken, and it was cluttered with sobs and tears. She tried to feel her limbs, but she couldn't yet. She started to weep fiercely as she refused to just lay there while Yuki was getting beat up. This is what she did. She always came to save him. She wanted to save him so much.. but.... all she could do was lay there, unable to move.
Arma moved back out of the way and took some few steps forward, then stopping. hearing from the coffee that is was the much smaller candy that was Yuki. He nodded. Not knowing what to do, then the girl was pushed away and thats when it hit him that he needed to do something. He quickly moved forward and stopped to see if there was a weak place. He examined people all too well and if his prediction was right he could slip under and grab the male. And that is what he'd do. His tail whipped up between the legs of the glowing one and wrapped around the white one's leg; pulling it like a whip backwards to him.
letting out a sadistic purr as Yuki let out his scream of pain, saliva dripping from his maw as he tasted the little ones blood leaking into his mouth. slit pupils contracting to the point where they were barely think lines in his eye.
he felt his victims body give a hard tug, his teeth and tusks still buried in Yuki's shoulder sliced though the skin,
growling deeply, eyes shooting up at the Numa who DARED interfere, he clenched his teeth harder on Yuki, lifting his head, raising Yuki off the ground as he went. reaching a claw out, and grabbing onto Arma's tail. then with a powerful heave, swung the larger Candy around and smalled him as hard as he could, against the ground onto he other side of where he was standing.
Victor's heart raced in his chest, he screamed to himself mentally for his feet to move, to help in anyway. He couldn't bear this anymore. Eyes wide as dinner plates, and pouring down from them were tears. He just stood there, mouth barely agap, stressing for the sake of himself. He absolutly hated himself for not moving, not helping. He just..couldn't take it.
Arma surprisingly was swung around by his tail. Letting it be so he nudged a little as he was swung. Trying to quickly get up he lifted his head up; gathering himself in a sitting position again. Maybe moving if desired but he didn't at the moment. This coffee was very strong it seemed. "Let the kid go." He said in a deep voice. His hair flopping across his face. That wasn't any way to treat others. He wasn't particular to it but he was told he couldn't treat others that way. So others shouldn't. Then he pulled himself up. With a groan from moving when he didn't want to.
Yuki felt his vision go white around the edges as Equis' tusks tore through the muscles of his shoulder. His pupils dialated to dots as there was a loud pop... There wasnt much meat on him to tear, so the long tusks hooked around bone instead, and when it pulled... It happened to tear Yuki's arm out of socket. The rest of his vision went white as pain engulfed his mind enough that he couldnt even scream anymore, hanging limp and unconcious from Equis' mouth.
Ness finally gaining some control in her limbs again, she pushed herself up off the ground and rubbed her eyes. As she looked around to find where they were, horror filled her eyes. She was still having trouble moving. "oh no... oh no.... oh no...." Certain panic and terror were seizing her. She wasn't often caught being afraid of anything, but the sight of Yuki like that. It was more than Ness could bare. Since she couldn't walk, she flapped her wings with all her might. "Please... Equis... Is there no way I can save him? Take me somewhere... you can hurt me... ok.. or ... whatever.. let me take his place...." She knew it was pretty futile. If he would hear it all, he probably wouldn't do it, but she had to try. She just couldn't give up. She would let him break her before she gave up.
dropping his jaw open to unhook Yuki from his tusks. strings on blood and saliva streaming freely from his ajare mouth. the corners up his lips turning up into an amused smirk
"Haaa haa haa or what?" he asked, letting Yuki's body drop to the ground in front of his claws.
paying no more mind to the medleing Numa, he looked down at the pathetic weak form on Yuki. teeth bared in a wicked grin, proud of his deedhe raised a claw high above his head. curling his fingers to bear his claws down towards the numa.
pausing only to look up at Ness
"you" he hissed "will be next"
a second was all Jayce needed for his element of surprise. having Arma doing what he did, getting Equis in the perfect position, then Ness speaking and calling the beasts attention. Jayce streamlined his long body, running as fast, and as hard as he could towards the center of it all.... Yuki.
leaping forward last second, grabbing whatever he could of the white bloodied Numa, and sliding off, kicking up dust as he finally came to a stop, a good distance from Equis.
body curled around Yuki to keep him from bouncing around to much, his gleaming red pupils lingers of Yuki's condition for only a moment, not allowing himself to feel consern... or fear. Jayce pulled back up as quickly as he could. extending the pronged bones on his arms as he turned to face Equis. Yuki still in his dark grasp
"Arma! We need to get out of here NOW" his hollow voice bellowed with a sence of urgency.
Victor's rage was venting inside of himself. How could a numa act so devious(sp? x__x;; ) to another one. Then it seemed to slap him on the face, memories flushed back, but he shook them away. Oh, he couldn't stand to see this. But, his legs were firmly locked into the ground. He shook his head, trying to get himself to get up. Words were trying hardest to form to himself. But, no matter how much he opened his mouth, nothing could come out.
Arma looked at Jayce. Finally a familiar face and he did as he was told to. That was the only thing he knew somehow to do but he moved his head back in a turn. "But he will go for the girl too Jayce! We can't just leave her!" He said in a highened voice. Not particular feeling to it. If it had been Morgana he would only think of saving her no matter the hurt so he thought of applying it the same to this female numa as well. Not knowing what to do he slid somehow and lunged himself under the female quickly. "Jayce run with that kid out of here!"
Yuki remained unconcious as Jayce grabbed him. He was just... there. Very dead like.

Jayce had not thought about Ness, though he had no idea who she was, and at the moment, a massive Coffee out to kill them was at the top of his consern. eyes locked onto Equis' who was starring aback at him with a devious smirk
"so.. you survived" he cooed darkly
"yeah. like I would let myself be killed by a Coffee" he scoffed back. striding backwards and securing Yuki on his back. ready to bolt at the first movement from Equis.
Finally, Ness's senses were getting stronger. Sure, he hit her hard before. It knocked her around a good lot than she had ever been before. Still, for a candy and a girl, she had some toughness. Her mind was completely reeling to and fro from all of this. "equis... what's going on? Why are you so super pissed???? What's going on? I thought you were my friend!!" She remained flying there in the air, her pride locking her in place, steadying her. It wasn't like she wasn't afraid, but she was willing to do what she felt she needed to regardless of the fear. This was all dismaying, and she didn't like any of it. None of it made sense to her. How did this all get started... would someone like to explain some of this to her? She was glad Yuki got away. Even though, in her heart, she was chiding that it had to be Jayce who saved him...
Arma thought about it for a second and remained close by Ness. In there just to be there if anything that the glowing numa did he could possibly get in the way of. Even fi he didn't know the girl he would protect her.
Equis rolled his eyes as he heard Ness start talking to him again.
"are you STILL talking?" he groaned. turning his attention away from Jayce and Yuki and towards Ness and Arma now.
"far as I see it" he started. pushing himself up and starting to walk, painfully causal in nature towards them, acting as if he was not about to smash there heads in... when in reality that was the most polite what he could think of about killing them. "a Coffee should never have to explain himself to a Candy"
then started to charge the two Numa
Jayce growled loudly in frustration. seeing Equis moveing towards them.
"ARMA" he yelled out frustrated.
The smell of blood filled his nostrills. Seeming to give him strenght (..Bat Numa of all <3 ) and his legs finally gave way, letting him walk again. He went to four legs, going to Ness, on the other side of her, a growl rumbling in his throat. He oddly couldn't stop crying though.
Ness felt herself snagged up by someone. Turning her head to see Victor, she sighed inwardly that he had come for her. But, how long had he been there? He did have awfully good timing though. She held onto him.She turned her head back to look at Equis as the distance grew between them. The confusion that she felt at what had just happened. It all had happened fast and out of nowhere. And, worst of all, Yuki got dragged into it all.
She just closed her eyes, tears brimming again. She felt the pang of a terrible hurt in her heart.
Arma wanted to move... he was usually just told what to do but when the bat numa came. He thought the female would be alright. He wasnt sure but then he finally made a decision. He wouldn't let her go and when he saw the glowing on charging he put himself in front of Ness and the bat numa. Not bracing himself because he didn't know how. The first fight he'd ever been it. Just usually someone beating on him and he wouldn't feel it. Like Jayce did.
He scruffed his body and the best he could do was tense up to harden his body. Having Jayce say his name.. he was going to change his mind at the last minute but just couldn't leave if there was danger being done to another.
"Take the kid away! Thats all you have to do!"
While Yuki continued to lay limply against Jayce, there was other movement in the area. She had heard the roar and screams, and at first had ignored them... Until she realized that she recognized the cries. She troted quickly close to the tree, pausing in the bushes from where Jayce had taken Yuki. It took her a moment to recognize Yuki... There was so much blood. Her teeth clenched and she looked up at Equis, her eyes glowing brighter. She didnt give a damn if he killed those two candies. But Yuki was off limits. It was just good timeing that she had showed up right as he had turned on them... In a flash she zoomed past Jayce, nothing more than a red flash. She skided to a stop a foot or two from where she calculated Equis going, then turned to swing her thick heavy tail as hard as she could, it connecting with his ribs and knocking him over.
Jayce growled, not enjoying being told what to do one bit.
huffing as he lost consern for them, thinking they would find there own way out.
distracted for a moment as he felt something run past him. mouth falling open slightly as he saw Nari knock Equis away from the other Candy.
Jayce turned again, and started away, glancing at the still frozen shocked, Heritage, tears continuing to stream from his eyes.
it was Lucky that Narissa has interrupted when she had, sure Jayce was a tough Candy, but being beaten up by an average sized Candy, and being mauled by an abnormally large Male Coffee... well Arma would have been in for a very unpleasant surprise.
Equis was prepared to kill them... in fact he even looked forward to it. releasing a powerful roar from his chest. it was cut short as something plowed into his ribs, knocking him off ballence and causing him to fall sideways onto the ground.
sitting up as quickly as he could. claw running over his chests and he panted uneasily, trying to catch the breath that had been knocked out of him. eyes narrowed dangerously as he glanced, surprised up to see Narissa.
"What are you DOING?" he roared rather feebly
Narissa bared her much smaller fangs at him, the fur on her back standing on end and making her look a bit bigger than she really was. She was furious. Beyond furious. Her eyes were almost white, they were glowing so brightly. Ignoring his question, she reared back and raised her claws, slapping him across his muzzle as hard as she could. Though she arched her palm, so the pads of her hands hit him instead of her claws. "I don't give a damn what you do, but you will NOT touch a member of my family!" Her voice didn't sound attractive at all, it was pure coffee power... Though nothing compared to his. "If I even see you glare at Yuki again I will not hesitate from ripping your throat out, DO you understand me!?"
Arma watched as the female hit the other. This was a decent surprise. He thought all females could fight and males as well. He looked at her then to ness. He nodded a little to the female he didn't know and moved his tail up a little to watch and see if she needed any help. She seemed to get his attention; the others attention quite well.
Blinking in utter surprise as he felt her slap him. eyebrows raised, he stood there while she threatened him, claw on the part of his muzzle she had struck, his breathing coming more steady.
"that... candy" he lowers his claws, muzzle wrinkling again as he snarled. storming forward and grabbing onto both her wrists so she would not slap him again, holding her fairly, but not enough to hurt her, face turned down toward hers and he growled back at her.
that little weakling was apart of her family? he knew she had Candy in her family, but not that they actually mattered to her.
he lingered above her for a long moment, eyes locked fiercely onto her own enraged eyes.
that slam must have knocked him for a peg or two, because after a moment of intimidating posturing, he covered his teeth with his lips, frowning as he hissed, rather acidly
"loud and clear"
Nari growled lowly, her fangs still bared. She met his gaze, not faltering at all. Though she did frown slightly as he grabbed her... She didnt back down. She couldnt let the people she cared about get hurt... When he backed down she blinked, a bit suprised. A moment passed between them as the tension and aggression slipped away... She frowned at him, her eyes revealing some odd emotion... She almost looked sorry. Almost sad. But it passed quickly, and she looked away and jerked away from his grasp. Not saying anything else, she turned and trotted back over to Yuki and Jayce, looking worriedly at the broken white and red body.
"We need to get him to Crime..." She was the only one she knew of that could help.
Ness who was sitting with Victor in the bush. She looked over at Arma who had been talking to her. She whispered quietly, "My body isn't too bad. I mean.. it hurts in some places... and I think I might have a splinter in the back of my neck... but my body will be fine." Her eyes didn't really look at him, not out of shame or rudeness. Her eyes just trailed over to where Jayce had been with Yuki. It was such a sad sight to her. She was just feeling overcome with grief and a huge feeling of having her pride broken as well. She just kept saying to herself how this was all her fault somehow. She wasn't sure how; but she just knew it was.
Equis let her pull away without struggling to keep hold. gaze breaking away only as she started towards the two Candy. eyes immediately catching the Skulled Numa. he could not read this Numa's expression at all, but he could tell, by the rigid posture he stood in, his black, red pupiled eyes staring unmoving at Equis that the brat was glareing at him.
Equis remained where he was, glareing just as coldly back at the Candy.
at the Mention of Crime, Jayce repositioned Yuki carefully on his back, and with out so much as a breath towards Equis, turned and left with Narissa as quickly as he could.
"Arma, grab her and come with us" he ordered rather harshly.
Arma looked at Ness. Just then a thought when the other told his order to grab her. He did just that. Grabbed the flying girl out of the air and carried her away with Jayce as the leader. Not minding what the girl thought of him just doing what jayce told him to do
Nari wanted to look back at Equis so badly her claws shook. She hoped he wouldnt hate her now... But she stayed determined, and didnt turn around. Nothing was said to Jayce either.. How this started didnt really matter to her. She just wanted Yuki to be ok. She trotted on up ahead of Jayce, since she was faster. No need in walking with Jayce... Shed go ahead and warn Crime, and get things ready for him.
Yuki only groaned slightly, though remained unconcious on top of Jayce, his arm hanging at an odd angle, still out of socket.
Ness just had a -oof- kind of look on her face as she hadn't really expected Arma to take her since he didn't the first time. She didn't fight it though. She figured; she better just hang on for the ride. This wasn't a time for pride or rivalries or other stupid things. She signed to Victor their see ya later gesture they used sometimes.
Then, she looked down at the large candy who was carrying her. She was a little weirded out by the fact that when she looked at him, his body seemed to be carrying ... the dead? Where were they going anyways? This day just kept getting weirded and weirder.
alone Now, his only company was the young Coffee Heritage.
raising his eyebrow at the strange behavior of the gleaming Coffee, Equis snorted and walked over, punching his shoulder lightly.
"come on kid snap out of it"
blinking his eyes, the punching seeming to bring him back to Candy land. he looked over at Equis wordlessly
Equis frowned, heaving a sight and putting an arm around Heritage's shoulder
"lets go get come caffeine" he breathed, leading the somewhat dazed looking Heritage into the unfinished Cafe.
This is the home where Ness lives at. She lives here by herself; while her human lives in a cottage next door which is only a few yards off.
