Ness was wandering around at random -YET AGAIN-. She spotted something she wasn't sure was a flower or a numa. As she got closer, she realized it was a numa WITH a flower on.
Ness walked up to her. "Excuse me.. are you busy? I saw you.. I wanted to stop and say hello?"

Maylea sat on top of a small hill. She had gathered up a bunch of grass blades to practice braiding, a skill that the butterfly Thanh had once taught her. The voice of another Numa startled her out of her work, grass blades fluttering in the air and drifting away. She gave a gasp as she spun around to face the other Numa.
"H-Hello," she greeted in small voice, blushing in embarrassment at her startled reaction.

Ness didn't smirk or do anything rude. "I'm sorry. Did I frighten you? I really didn't mean to. Here, let me help you..." Ness went about to try and catch the grass pieces that were floating about. It was her fault after all the pretty numa lost the things she had with her. "My name is Ness.. by the way." She just tried to smile friendly.

"I wasn't expecting anyone to come along this way," Maylea admitted as she gathered up some of the fallen blades of grass. "I'm Maylea," she answered, returning the Numa's smile with a shy one of her own.

Ness returned the pieces of grass to Maylea. "Yeah. I am kind of random that way. Sorry... I guess I need to find a way to approach people that doesn't give them the hibbee gibbees." She made a nervous laugh. She really did need to find a better way to approach people. This was becoming too frequent a reaction.
"when I saw you, it made me curious. I just can't stop myself when I get those curious impulses." She then got a slight blush on her face, one hard to hide behind her fur that was so light and transluscent. A blue so pale it was nearly white.

"I think I'm just easily startled by others," Maylea admitted, still blushing. She must seem like such a silly Numa to others. "Thanks," she said, taking the grass and laying them out in her lap.
She blinked and looked up at Ness, tilting her head. "I made you curious?" she question, brow furrowing in confusion. "How did I make you curious?"

Ness sat down. She held a paw up. "I was flying, and I could make our your fur color and the flower. So, at first I just thought you were a giant flower. Then, when i got closer. I realized you were just a fancy numa.. and had a flower. I like going out and meeting numas. I guess I'm just outgoing that way. Being alone too long and not having people to talk to makes me feel lonely and anxious." She gave a nervous smile. Did she just make herself look totally pathetic? She thought so.

"Ah," Maylea said, reaching up to touch a paw to her flower. She blushed a little, having never been called a "fancy Numa" before.
She looked at the other Numa with a bit of a sad smile on her face. "I know what it's like being alone for too long," she mumbled softly, looking down at the grass blades in her lap. Until she had started making ventures into the inner land of Numa Numa Land, she had always been alone on her beach. But slowly, she was meeting new Numas and making friends.

Ness sat and nodded. Then, she looked over at the grass pieces. "What are you doing with those anyways?" She looked curious. She hadn't seen anyone using grass for anything before. Well, she herself used it to roll in.. but other than that.

"A while back I ran into a Numa that had a little butterfly that always hung around him," Maylea explained as she set out a few blades of grass. "The butterfly taught me how to braid grass, but I kept getting it all knotted together." She laughed a little out of embarrassment. "So I've been practicing to get better at it."

Ness seemed rather interested in a butterfly being with a numa. "Can you show me how to do it too? I can get my own grass." Ness looked around for some good strands of grass.
"Wow. I want a butterfly then.. If we can get one. I have a butterfly tattoo on my leg. Wanna see?" Ness then came back with only two strands of grass, and she stood on her side so her butterfly tattoo could be seen easily.

"Sure!" Maylea said cheerfully. She always liked learning new things. So why not share those things with others if they wanted to learn as well? "I have some extra grass if you need," she said, not wanting to make the other search around too long for grass blades.
"A butterfly tattoo?" Maylea blinked and looked over at Ness. "That's so pretty! My markings are rather plained." She only had simple tribal like markings on her fur. Nothing fancy like a butterfly tattoo.

"Ohh.. thanks.." Ness smiled as seh took the extra grass pieces from Maylea and sat nearby to watch and mimic what she was doing.
"What? Are you serious? Plain? I don't think you're plain at all. You're really very pretty. You remind of the girls from the neighborhood I grew up in. They were always very refined and sent to numa schools to learn how to be good girls and make good house wives. heh. That's why Ness doesn't have lots of friends. I don't make a very good girl of that sort. I'm not fancy; and I don't do a lot of girly things." She giggled at herself cuz she thought she was being silly.

Maylea looked up from her work and blinked at Ness as she tilted her head. She had never heard of such things as "Numa schools" before, but that was probably because she lived alone on the beach and knew very little of life inland.
"Is it important to be like that?" she asked, not certain if she agreed with such things. "Being fancy and refined and a good house wife?" She had never given thoughts to things of the sort.

Ness just gave a casual shrug. "I suppose it is.. I mean. Most of the girls I ever knew when I was young. They have all gone off to find nice male numas who'll love them.. and go off to have babies and do that whole scene. I dunno.. I know a few boys who like me.. but... I know I am NOT ready for that kind of life. I like going where I want; going when I want.. and never having to think. Oh wait... I have a baby to look after. Or.. Maybe I should wait for my mate before I go to do this thing..."
Ness got comfortable and then started to work on weaving her pieces of grass.. which were coming along swell as far as she could tell.
