RP players: Ness and Thalassa
Location: [to be determined]
Ness was having herself a casual fly towards the island she loved to spend time at when she ventured outside of her cottage. Then, she sat a numa about. It intrigued her as what seemed to be a female numa. Ness thought she looked an awful lot like herself. She flew down to have a better look.

Thalassa had been taking a nap, she was stretched out on the ground probably a couple miles from the grape river just enjoying the sunshine. She lay on her back like a lazing cat and stretched every once in awhile to keep her limbs from falling asleep. Other Numas would probably be playing right now, but Thal had had several days of meeting people and for a once-introvert getting out was tiring you know!

Ness walked up to where she was. The closer she got. She marveled how much this other numa looked like her.. except her fur was slightly darker.. and her hair didn't have some of the patches that Ness's did. But still..Ness wondered for a brief moment if she didn't have a twin at birth she never knew about.

Thalassa sat up quietly to look at the other Numa and it took her several moments of thinking that someone was holding a mirror over her to spot the differences. Their ears, hands, and markings varied pretty well but other than that they could have passed for each other. Two faint circles of pink appeared on Thal’s cheeks and she waited for the girl to speak.

Ness sat down on the grass. "Please say... you're not a figment of my imagination.. cuz I feel like I'm seeing double today. Man.. I wonder if my ice cream was bad that I ate last night." She rubbed her eyes as her wings flapped, and her tail wrapped around her blanketing over her lap.

Thalassa’s cheeks turned a brighter pink. She was decently positive that the one sitting across from her was real and definitely not the same as her, “No.. no I’m real. My parents are Leila and Souleater.” There, she’d just proven herself, right? With a quick blink Thal just continued to stare at the other.

Ness held a paw to her chin for a moment looking profoundly thoughtful. "Oh. Well, I don't even know who those numas are... so then you can't be some secret long lost twin I never knew I had."
She sat back casually and laughed. "Man.. for a minute there... I thought you were...." Her camoflauged hair hung all around her back.

Thalassa’s ears twitched back and forth with a bit of curiosity. The idea of having a twin was so neat, but at the same time it’d be scary to not have known! A shy smile spread on her face and she settled on her rump to chat more.
She nodded slowly and smiled a bit more sunnily, “Yeah.. I think I know what you thought too.” The similarities almost outweighed the differences in their looks!

Ness sat on her heels, her legs tucked under her. She smiled wide and eyes twinkling when the other seemed to almost blush in a shy way. "Well, my name is Ness. And, I live up yonder... on the east side of the world... I'm probably about half an hour to an hour south of the swamps. I like butterflies, boys, and having fun. How bout you?"

Thalassa smiled back at the other with less sunshine in her smile. Not that she wasn’t happy to have a new friend.. Thal just wasn’t really sure how to truly smile sometimes and not seem fake. “I have a cottage with my human.. We live right along the river not far from here!” Because of this Thal usually had some sort grape stain on her paws, “Well.. I like being in nature and talking to people.. But too many at once kinda.. Worry me?”

Ness smiled at her. "That's ok. Some numas are just naturally shy; and some are naturally extroverted. And.. you know... I think one on one meetings are better sometimes. It feels a lot more personal. You have too many people present, and something is bound to give way to a chaotic episode of something unsufferable." Ness smiled more and fluffed her tail over her lap. "I was a bit hesitant when I got into making friends too. I grew up in a neighborhood where good girls liked flowers and dresses. Since I wasn't that kind of girl, I wasn't sure I wanted to be liked by anyone... It just takes time I guess..."

Thalassa smiled and settled on the icecream carefully. One did have to watch how you chose to sit when it came to being on something so cold. Her human, Swirl, would probably have a hissy-fit when she got home. Blah, that wasn’t her problem though… Having to deal with standing or flying as opposed to sitting? Oh boy, her mind had wandered off with itself. “I’ve not been taught really what’s right or wrong.” … Thalassa thought of Akuji and blushed for a moment.. She was supposed to be afraid of him or at least hostile but that didn’t seem to make sense. “Flowers and Dresses? But they aren’t that much fun are they?”

Ness shook her head in the negative. "Well.. I suppose if you needed a dress to feel pretty or attractive for someone else.. but then it's like. If you have to do that.. then what's the point.. cuz hopefully numas we fall in love with accept us for who we are. even if that means flowers aren't that fun... I guess I can't claim to be a complete tomboy. I do like to keep my fur clean..."
Ness looked up at Thal. "Well.. based on my own experience. I think right and wrongs have too many gray areas. I say... follow your instincts. Do you have someone you like?"

Thalassa thought that one of her other friends, Graciela, had the prettiest dress that was imaginable, but that didn’t meant hat Thal would be signing up to pull one on anytime soon. The thought of the one Numa that Thalassa wasn’t always embarrassed around made her blush and smile at the same time, “Looks will only go so far.. That is why I don’t think people should bother.”
Her own coat was usually about nearly twice as thick as it should be because of how often Thal got dirty and had to soap up and air-dry out. “Yes.. I have one friend.. His name is Akuji. I don’t quite understand it all you know.. But he’s just special!”

Ness started to smile in a cheesy sort of way as a grin spread across her face. She nodded in affirmation. "Yes. I have a special friend, too! Well, I am not sure he knows just how special he is, but I have a lot of fun with him. I love having fun. It just seems like when he's around; I get so beside myself and spazz like crazy. When he's gone, I miss him all the time."
When she stopped talking, she looked up to find she had autonomously making circles in her tail with one of her nails. She wondered when it was these things were happening to her. "I mean.. I have a few friends.. but you know... there just feels something special about him."
