It was a fine summer afternoon. Ness was getting a little bored doing the same ole, same ole everyday. Day in, day out.. It'd all been the same, and she was ready to break loose. She was flying around her house grabbing the bare necessities to go camping in the moutains.
Her plan was to hike there. While she was there.. maybe explore some caves. Seeing Victor's little candy stash made her curious if there were more places like that in the caves around the foot of the jelly mountains. It was definitely worth taking a trip for.

Rigged without his love, Victor wasn't taking it that easily himself. Spending his time down in the cool cave of the crystal rock candy, he spent his time reading up..what more was he to do? He yawned silently, instead of heading to the cavern, he headed outside for a change..
Maybe today would be different..

Ness wrote a note and left it on her human's desk that basically said she'd be gone for a few days and not to worry.
Then, ness hoisted her backpack which was just a tad heavy. She got it up there good. With all the stuff in it, she wouldn't be able to fly, so she would hike all the way there. She could fly home since she'd use this stuff on the way.
She closed the door to their house; and she took off marching northwest, in the direction of the foot of the mountains.

He took quick pace to head to her house, giving it a couple of knocks before walking in. .. Odd, how could it be empty? .. He began to walk around, in hope to find her.

Ness was making good time wading her way through the tall grass as it grew tall and wild near the mountains. She took a look up in the air remembering when her and Victor had been up there. That was fun. Then, she was remembering the time he took her into his secret cave where he had stashes of rock candy.
She pushed the thought out of her mind. She was planning to not think about him today. He had been rather dramatic recently; and she wanted to just have fun.. no drama. She then found a nice little spot outside of the first cave she found to sit down for a break. She got out a small bottle of root beer.

He got to the room with the desk and read it carefully, "Hmm..", he scratched his chin, nodding. "So..I guess I gotta follow her scent..", he sighed and hurried back off to his cave. He wanted to get a few supplies for the trip to look for her, and sighed. "I love you Ness..", he chuckled slightly to himself.

She was sitting there against the wall of the mountain, right outside the mouth to one of hte caves. She was maxing and relaxin. She put her arms behind her head and started to drift off, having a short nap. Nothing was wrong with that... After all, it was her adventure.
Not like anyone would come to bother her, right? Well.. that's what she thought..so she allowed herself to fall into a small nap... leaving herself quite off her gaurd for what would then follow.

After packing a few things into a small back pack, he made a little note of his own for his owner, and set off. "So..all I gotta do is follow her scent..", he mumbled to himself, going for the first place where her scent would be the strongest, back at her house.

Finally ness woke up after about twenty minues. She stretched herself out and put her empty bottle in her backpack. She hoped to run into some kind of stream of something to drink once she was down in there. While she had her bag open, she pulled out the flashlight and hung it off a clip on t he side of her pack.
She stood at the mouth of the cave. "Oh yeah... YOU ARE THE MAN NESS.. YOU ARE THE MAN.. " xD yeah. Well, she didn't really think of herself a man. But, she did feel she was incredibly brave and daring to go do it. It made her feel pretty on top of things. And, then she went in, and as soon as it was getting dark, she flicked the flashlight on, not really holding it in her hand as she just wanted light at her feet until it got really dark.

Victor made quick work getting a sure track for Ness. He walked briskly, hurring through his injuries to get to her. He passed the same places she did, and stared for a moment of time. He then took back off, coming to the cave where she had entered. "..She really did go in there..", Victor mumbled, smiling.
His eyes had quickly adjusted to the dark, and he just blended into the pitch black darkness around him, following her down.

Of course, Ness being proud and remembering the time she walked blindly through Victor's cave. She was trying to stubbornly make it through this one without the light as long as possible. This wasn't wise.
A step made her foot slide, and then, her other foot slide. It made a loud gasp and shriek escape her mouth which she didn't like at all. Her face flushed red feeling so embarrassed. It was her stubbornness. She had a flashlight.. She fumbled trying to get a hold of it as she slid. She got it and turned it on. Apparently, she had tumbled into a shaft that didn't seem to end for a ways yet.
She squeezed her eyes and then opened them wide.. Might as well enjoy the ride if she couldn't get off of it.

He sighed, watching he go into the shaft. He decided to have a little fun though. He snuck in crevices where she couldn't see him from the flash light's light. His tails twitched playfully, and he smiled.

Finally, the shaft she had been falling down opened up, and she found herself falling to a floor. She flapped her wings trying to slow it down, but her wings only slowed it a little since she had the backpack over them. She hit the ground with a mild thud. "geez... man... Now where am I? Well.. I bet I'm ******** lost... geez Ness.. Way to go. Send yourself deep in a cave of which you won't find your way out of.. yes.. freakin lovely..." She grabbed the flashlight, lighting the path before her. She just kept following to the left.. hoping it'd turn her around eventually.

He yawned silently, continuing to follow her through the cave. He was careful to not make any rocks that were on the ground move. He was getting bored of following her through the cave though, and was going to get ready to make himself there to her.

Ness had slowed down her speed of walking. She preferred to move faster, but she was now paying heed to the fact she didnt' know where the floor would go if she wasn't paying attention.
She found a nice open cavern though. She figured she must have been in this cave for quite a while. Maybe it was time to make camp for the night. She sat her bags down and got out some things she brought for makeshift fires. A few sticks, and something to light them. Once she got it lit, she put her flashlight back on the hook on the side of her backpack.
Then, she rolled out a sleeping bag, and she situated herself on it. She then noticed when she was quiet and not moving. It did feel at least a tad lonely. There in a big dark cave by herself. ... Maybe asking a friend to have come wouldn't have been too bad an idea.
