Hobbies: Reading: Books have been the one thing in the world that has kept Emily going. She loves everything about them, the feel, the smell, the way that they can take you to the other side of the world without leaving your comfortable couch. She has known since she first took a step into a library when she was younger that books were her calling, and after getting a Master of Library Science degree, she was terribly pleased to become the librarian of the third largest branch library in Destiny city. She hopes to one day encourage all of the children that pass through the doors of her library to love books as much as she does. Reading is becoming a lost art, and Emily hates that more than anything.
Cooking: One of Emily’s other goals is to make the best burger in the world, and she thought at first she could get away with just…you know, mixing some ground beef and adding veggies, but no. As time has gone on, she realized that much more skills were needed to make the best burger, including making the best buns, and having the best sauce…and before she knew it, Emily was covered in about two dozen cookbooks and had started on a culinary adventure that she had not bargained for. It has made her a real hit at library parties though, she always brings the best snacks.
Candle Making: Once a book was donated to the library,
Candle Making for Dummies, and Emily decided to read it before checking it into the system…and she might not have ever really put the book into the system, but that’s okay. In being just a smidge selfish and sneaky, she managed to figure out how to make candles, and has been a hit at the library’s craft fairs, even going so far as to start her own etsy shop, hoping to get some sales. She loves experimenting with different oils to get the candles to give off better scents, and seeing how long she can have her candles burn. It’s terribly soothing, watching a wax covered piece of string transform into a candle before your eyes, and sometimes, soothing is just what Emily is looking for.
VirtuesForgiving: Emily isn't the one to hold grudges with anyone. She always does her very best to see the very best in ever living creature. If you wrong her and you later tell her you're sorry, she'll forgive you on the spot, giving a hug and going back to the bubbly person she was with you before you did what you did. There is nothing that anyone has done to her which Emily has not forgiven.
Positive: Keeping a positive attitude is the secret to everything. There is a saying that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, an this is the biggest way that Emily lives her life. There's no point in going around with frowns and bad attitudes, when people will like you much better if you're a happy, outgoing person who looks on the bright side. So that's what she is.
FlawsForgiving: Forgiving everyone for everything has made Emily a pretty big doormat. There have been people have walked all over her for years and years, but she continues to forgive them, no matter what, that's just in her nature. It isn't that she doesn't have a backbone, it's more the fact that she wants to believe that everyone has good in them, and everyone can make mistakes.
Dreamer: Emily likes to think of things, talk of things and plan things, but when it comes to actually doing them, she never does. She will plan great expeditions while at the library and talk to her friends of all the things that she wants to do and see, but she never has had the courage or the drive to actually go out and do them. Life can't be lived through books and imagination alone, but Emily seems hellbent on trying.
