Lionel was not one to make a big show of his dedication to the Negaverse, but ever since he'd started having thoughts of leaving, he'd practically redoubled his efforts to look like a useful, dedicated officer. And, frankly, his conversation with Arsenolite had put a lot of things in perspective--like how there seemed to be a lot of people, lately, who needed a lot of help. with corrupted recruits.
So he'd dug through what personell and database files he had access to-not many, but a few--and landed on Bellite, who was apparently connected to a Corrupt Xenia, who had come over from Order.
Maybe she had some ideas.
He found her office, and knocked politely on the door. No missive sent ahead or anything, so he might miss her; that was a risk he was willing to take.

Bellite was in her office, looking over some of her old notes on youma and paused when the knock sounded at her door. It wasn’t often that she got visitors, and the idea was...well. Interesting.
She got up, smoothing down her skirts and walked over, opening the door and tilting her head. “Yes?” It was a corrupt senshi, and that was...interesting. It wasn’t anyone that she knew and the confusion was plain on her face. “How can I help you?” Obviously he must be lost or...or something. Why else would a corrupt senshi seek her out, it wasn’t like her name was that well known or…
Delight began to well up in Bellite’s chest and she flashed a smile. “Are you...lost or did you come to see me, because both are okay! I just...would like to know if it’s worth getting excited that I’m beginning to be a little more well known.”

Oh. s**t. Lionel didn't like to think of himself as awkward, or uncomfortable around people, but he hadn't planned out how to actually ask the questions he needed to ask her, which was making this way more uncomfortable for him than it might have been otherwise.
"Uh," he said, and he gave her a polite smile, "I actually did come looking for you. You work with a corrupted Seshi, right? One that came over from the other side? I sort of...picked one up in that battle on the hill a couple weeks ago, and I actually wanted to ask if you had any advice on how to help one get more intergrated into the Negaverse."

Bellite brightened when he confirmed that he had, in fact some to talk to her and she moved aside, gesturing for him to enter the office. “Yes, I adopted her, actually. She’s wonderful, and I’m always so proud of her. I’d love to help you get yours acclimated.”
She closed the door behind the corrupt and led him to her desk, sitting down and running her thumb over the smooth armrest. “Did she want to corrupt, or was she one of those that succumbed to chaos? Does she remember anything?”
If she didn’t remember anything...if it wasn’t her choice, then they would have to be careful, have to hook her, bring her to enjoy her new life. If she did choose it, well, than that made things easier and they would simply have to make her welcome.
“My Xenia, she was talked over to our side by her girlfriend, it was very well done, if I do say so myself.”

Lionel nodded. It sounded like the situation with Bellite's adoptive daughter was very different than his own, but still--it was a place to start. And maybe he could get some advice for Arsenolite, too.
"She was corrupted in the battle on the hill. Not by choice, total memory wipe." Lionel exhaled. "She....seems to be taking to the Negaverse almost alarmingly well. But I'm worried about the long term--for now, she seems happy, but things could pretty easily get a lot messier." He took a seat, and sighed.
"I want to look out for her. Especially because she doesn't really have anyone else. So...I know it's obviously a lot different than your daughter, but. I appreciate any insights you have to offer."

Bellite nodded, humming softly as she thought through the problem. “I’m glad that she’s taken to the Negaverse, that’s good. But...she should have things here to ground herself in case she ever meets up with those who would try to drag her back. I can introduce her to Wavellite, my daughter’s girlfriend, and I’m sure those three would get along well, and I’d like to meet her too.”
She tapped her chin with a finger. “Start getting her ties with others. Any others. If she’s taking to chaos too much, there’s a chance you could lose her to it, so watch out for that. My new youma is a senshi that got too much chaos and had the corruption go a bit too far, we don’t want that to happen, but. I’m glad she’s been brought to the right side of things. And I’m glad you know enough to ask for help. That means a lot to know.”
Bellite smiled softly. “It means you’ll make a good leader sometime soon, I’m sure. I can put in a word for you with the sovereigns, if you’d like. Just so they could keep an eye on you.”

Lionel nodded. "That sounds good, yeah." Maybe having friends would help Guinevere roll back some from the heights of homicidal ferality; he couldn't be certain, but it seemed like a good idea.
The thought of seeing her turned into a youma made him wince. That would be the ultimate failure of his promise to Guinevere's old friends, wouldn't it? Definitely, then, it seemed like there was value in making sure she didn't go too far down that particular rabbit hole.
But the other suggestion made him inhale tensely, and he had to work to keep his expression neutral. No, he did not want the General-Sovereigns paying extra attention to him. The thought was terrifying, actually.
"Thanks for your advice--I definitely want to make sure she stays human. Especially because she seemed to have some friend son the other side, and we might be able to leverage her to recruit the rest of them. But, uh--" a small, wry grin--"sweet of you to offer, but no need to go putting in a good word. I haven't really done anything yet, have I? Just a lot of thoughts about looking out for someone else."

Bellite smiled and shrugged slightly. “I suppose, if you don’t want me to let them know, I’ll hold my peace for now. But, bring your friend to me sometime. I really would like to meet her. And if she does have friends remaining in the White Moon…having her might be a lot of help in bringing them to the truth.”
She clicked her tongue, giving a soft sigh. He had a good head on his shoulders, and she really would like to let the Sovereigns know…well. Perhaps she could simply drop in a word or two. A little praise never hurt anyone.
“How about you bring her this weekend? I’ll have lunch for the two of us, and we can figure out her future.” If anything, it might get another corrupt under Bellite’s care, and that wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Lionel nodded. Her offer seemed sound, and kindly meant, and even if he no longer felt comfortable in the Negaverse, that was no reason not to help Guinevere. It could even be support for her, after he got out.
Yanking her back and forth...it seemed like a terrible, dangerous idea.
"That sounds perfect, actually," Lionel agreed. "I think she'll like it, getting to meet new people and all that. She's...friendly." Or so it seemed.
He gave Bellite a brief bow.
"This weekend, then, Captain. And thank you, sincerely."
It would be complicated, certainly. But he could walk the tightrope. Make sure Guinevere was safe, plan to get them out. He would just have to be very, very careful.
