Zone 1 Objective # 4 - 30 day Log.


The date of the Dawn of the End, as Justin called it. He spent it driving away from the Horde, the local club that became a cesspool for what he would eventually learn would be called the Infected and Undying. The car provided mobile security from the shambling bodies that littered the road. Big ones and little ones of all types of dress but they all didn't look like they were in the right frame of mind. Those that did were quickly mowed down on the street or in their own vehicles, driving just as recklessly. Two cars bashing together in front of the blonde, forcing him to swerve onto the dirt and go off road from the wreckage. Cursing loudly in the car, he was able to see how quickly the madness developed.

He had to make it to safety, and the one that he chose was not at home. That had no hope for survival, too many people and not enough with a brain for survival. There needed to be facilities of sorts, diverse. He was turning his car onto the next turnpike, heading to the local university. It wasn't as bad as he expected, driving right past and into the campus before the gates got closed and he barreled into the dining hall. It was dull, a vague tint of light to help discern that not everyone was wearing shades of grey. He spent the next few minutes locked in a freezer as they questioned him from outside. It was still plenty cold enough to have him talking quickly out of fear of losing oxygen and freezing his nuts off. That he was clean, that the people at the club were unsalable, and everything he saw on the way here. It was worthwhile information the blonde hoped, and was relieved to see them opening the doors and letting him in, covering him in a strange unicorn blanket.

The days were spent culling those that were deemed infected and pushing the corpses and the undying into the empty pool. Sweeps happened on a daily occurrence. Coupled with Scavenging for supplies. It was a spacious area and took ample time checking. In retrospect they should have been more frugal with the food supplies, not expecting them to quickly deplenish, it was a hard learned lesson. Now items were scarcer, but anything that was found went to the good of the colony.

This was the state of affairs, leading to searching further outside their area into the unknown that was a new zone.
