There were many tables for playing, complete with a dealer and an interesting set of cards that was being played with by the dealer, the artistic shuffling that showed off nimble fingers. bridges and rolls and Justin was mesmerized, drink in hand, waiting for the real show to get on the road. "Where is everyone?" he muttered, not taking his eyes off the dealers performance and the cards with flashes of gold and red.

RULES OF THIS GAME:
[ Step 1]: - You must find a minimum of TWO other players to enter the poker table with you. If you cannot find someone else put a [ OPEN ] at the top of your post. This means you are open for inviting other players. You can have up to 5 people in a poker game thread, if you wish. All players may now come in, and roll in whatever order they wish, you really don't have to wait for players to get your rolls in!
Label your thread [ POKER RP] (PLAYERS HERE). You can play cross faction, obviously! Remember MINIMUM 3 players MAX 5 players!
The player who made the thread is responsible for closing it when finished.
[ Step 2]: All players must now roll 5d12 and make their FIRST POST in that thread. This equals the CARDS they have on their hands where 1= Ace, 11 = Jack, 12 = Queen. There are no kings. Edit your OOC accordingly with your hand. Make a post regarding your hand/entering the thread/ etc.
[ Step 3]: Look at your hand combination. You may now choose to DISCARD one card from your hand you do not like. Select which number you want to discard (from your rolls), and then in a second post, roll 1d12 again. This is your new card. Edit your OOC HAND accordingly, and write a small post of your character. This phase is optional.
[ Step 4]: Look at your hand combination. You may now choose to DISCARD ANOTHER card from your hand you do not like. Select which number you want to discard (from your rolls), and then in your third post, roll 1d12 again. This is your new card. Edit your OOC accordingly, and write a small post of your character. This phase is optional, and your LAST chance to swap cards.
[ Step 4b]: If you somehow have "cash" in your minis inventory, now is the chance to use it! Make a post, and RP that you are using your cash to BRIBE the dealer. Immediately send the cash item to Junkyard. This item WILL be removed from your inventory. When you have done so (don't worry about waiting for confirmation, just do NOT use this item anywhere else or you will be removed from the event), replace any card in your hand with a card of your choice. For example, if your current hand is 1, 2 , 2, 4, 5, with your bribe, you may now change it to 1, 2 3, 4, 5. Proceed to the next step when done. This step is only for CASH people only (if you own this item on the site).
[ Step 5]: You are done swapping cards! This is now your FINAL HAND. We're going to simplify the rules here for Poker so it isn't a big nightmare to complete. Look at the list below:
Select a combination that is APPROPRIATE to your hand. For example, if you have 2, 2, 5, 6, 7, your highest is a pair. If you got 2 3 4 5 6, your highest is a straight. etc etc. Use the form below to submit your final hand and rp out your post.

[ Step 6]: When ALL PLAYERS have submitted their hand, simply look at this chart again to see who has the highest combo. If there are two "tied" values, simply look at who has the higher card numbers. That person is the WINNER. If you are the WINNER of the thread, you get 25 casino points. Everyone else has to subtract 5 as penalty. Go ahead and edit your ooc for casino points accordingly.
If players are caught not subtracting points, they will be disqualified from any future poker games! If players do NOT respond in a timely manner despite posting one hand, they will be considered no longer part of the game (-5 penalty for "losing"). The wait period for a timely tag should be 12 hours before moving onwards. You may play multiple poker games at once.

Hitsu hadn't tried any of the card games yet. She'd been afraid to, really, but with a decent cushion of coins and her collar removed she was more willing to give it a shot.
She had a lot of coins to win and not a lot of time to do so.
"Good luck, Justin," she offered honestly. They were all playing for their lives or others' lives, after all.
It didnt take too much time to find his team members, the blue jerseys doing their job when two other seats got filled. "Harper, Hitsu, came for a friendly rivalry?" he was rubbing his fingers along the felt table, it was so much smoother than the lumpy mattresses they had at their compound. it felt like a true luxury. giving a nod to the dealer, the cards were re shuffled, burned and dealt. "You think we could take one of these tables back to our base? just to play games on it and stuff?"

“I would hate to see how much the table cost to take back honestly.” Harper took a peak at her cards, not making a face at the other two.
Justin flashed his teeth. "But these nothing wrong with a little friendly competition, right Histu?" he beamed, "see Harpers into it!." he noticed, flicking one of his cards to the dealer and getting one sent back to him. "Well, Maybe we can get some help carrying it?" he really wanted to have this table back home. "its really nice, i mean, its not better than a pool table, but i havent found any of those still intact."

"I know, I know..." She sighed. "Sorry. I'm just worried. About someone... And everyone."
She pulled a card from her hand and gave it up for another.
Justin didnt really think about the details behind how to get it back, to their base. "By truck? I actually didn't think that far ahead about it Harper." he admitted, now weighting the pros and cons of dealing with the undying while trying to maneuver the casino table., in which there were no pro's to it. "Well, there goes that dream." he all but sighed and flicked another card away.
What Hitsu had on her mind was as plain as day. "Well im sure Someone, will be fine, a good head on their shoulders." he spoke in riddles in case Harper was not privy to the details. but honestly, it took someone who was real dense, not to notice, in his point of view.

She could appreciate that Justin seemed to know who she was referring to. It helped her to hope that others were looking out for him too, in case she didn't get enough coins. She'd never found out how many he had, and she doubted that her friend would actually answer the question. "I know, and I plan to make sure they keep it."
Harper grinned, “A dream is still good though, shame that the university didn’t have on lying around somewhere either.” A card table probably would have helped giving them something to do on a quiet night.
She handed the dealer a card and then looked at Justin, and then to Hitsu. She didn’t like being left out from the apparent conversation. “What’s going on? Did Austin do something stupid again? Is Cecil ok?”

Justin didn't say anything about That person and keeping their head. "You should be more worried about their foot Hitsu." he warned semi jokingly. It was almost funny how Harper keyed right into the topic." His face fallen right when the C-word was uttered. His pokerface was broken.
"I dunno, thats for you to tell Hitsu." he declared, pushing his cards away and dropping a set of 5 coins on the table. "I got nothing, ace high."

Looking to Harper, Hitsu shook her head. "I wouldn't be playing for Austin. If he wants to drink himself into oblivion before he dies that's on him." She frowned, and sighed. "Not that I'd want him to die... But God I wish I could have gotten in a few more hits."
Justin's comment got a twitch of her lips, because it wasn't right for her to think that was funny and she needed to not grin.
"He's still wearing a collar. So I'm going to say he's not ok. Bullet wounds not included, that idiot."

Justin’s face broke as soon as the name Cecil was mentioned as an overly concern looked spread on Harper. She swung around staring at Hitsu, “What happened, what’s wrong, is there anything I can do to help? Please tell me.” If he was in danger or hurt she wanted to do what she could, she even had a few coins to spare anything.
Forgetting about her cards she turned back to them laying them down. “Two pair.” That was a win right?
