Dragonite is such a strange pokemon, I remember when I was so excited when my dragonair was evolving. I really though that it would look like this. ... but we have Dragonite.
It really just looks like barney the dinosaur turned pokemon. It's not for me.

Casual:
Dragon types are not common, with this family being one of the only ones. It's strong, it's got a good movepool.
I know this might be a waste of Dragonite's stats. But it can learn every HM.

Competitive:
Dragonite deserves its place in OU. Dragonite is a beast, especially MixNite, all of it's stats are amazing, with speed being its worst. With 80 speed.
It sweeps, it tanks with it's 5 resistances, and it's move pool is HUGE.
The only flaw I see in dragonite, (aside from the SR weakness D: ) is it's terrible ability. Inner Focus prevents flinching. There are situations where avoiding the flinchhax could save you. Dragon Rush (2x damage) has 20% chance. But still, give it something like Intimidate. >;]
