I'm not that big of a fan of Swalot, Gulpin was better.

Casual:
Swalot has alright stats, low speed. It's weaknesses are only Psychic and Ground, not too common. It's level up move set doesn't look too impressive. Honestly, I've never used Swalot ingame.

Competitive:
Also never used Swalot competitivly, I couldn't think of a set for Swalot so I checked out Smogon. SleepTalk set, and Encorer... yeah. On a trickroom team, it could be an alright. Yawn and use Swalot's strange array of TM moves like IceBeam /ShadowBall etc. Toxic works also, but you'd probably have to swap to a legit tank/wall for it to take it's effect.
