Zapdos (#145)

Zappy is one of my favourite Pokemon. The spiky look looks like an electric type. (Yeah go Jolteon also!) It's shiny version leaves something to be desired. It really barely looks different. (It shares that same flaw with Articuno, and Moltres)
Also, I remember one of my earliest poke I SHAT BRICKS moment was.
ArticUNO, ZapDOS, and MolTRES were numbers in Spanish. XD

Casual:
Although found late in the game, Zapdos's nice stats (High SpA and it's surprisingly tanky) make it a great teammate. A good thunderbolt puts holes in many pokemon. It's unique typing makes it only weak against Rock and Ice. You probably would swap out against rock types anyways so it's still awesome razz

Competitive:
Zapdoes is a great OU Lightning type, it's only rivals being Electivire, Jolteon (and to a lesser extent Rotom-C.)
Zapdos the best SpA, best movepool and the best overall stats of the 3. Although Pressure isn't the best Ability. Electivire's Ability makes switching into an electric attack turn it into a great sweeper. And Jolteon's to heal (usually just immune) the attack. Oh the flipside, Zapdos can switch into an EQ.
Oh course, the flying type makes it weak against stealth rocks (25%). But Zapdos has itself covered with Roost. It's typing has 2 weaknesses, 5 resists and an immunity.
Between the 3 electrics in OU. I'd lean towards Zapdos myself because, it's strong, it's tanky, it's got a HUGE movepool.
