Kaifeng didn’t like to think that he had underestimated a literal world-eater, but as the Calamitous Hollow crashed through the shield, he started to feel like he might have done exactly that. He faltered briefly, flinching behind one arm as though that would stop the shockwaves of the creature’s attack. It didn’t. Nor did Kaifeng manage to dodge around the damage coming though as the shield began to crumble.
But he still had to keep fighting. Trying to steady himself again, he looked over to Erytheia and smiled. “Thank you for that! Let’s hope I can pay it back in kind!”
In kind such as attacking the Calamitous Hollow. Yet, even as he swung his staff, calling on the ancient Saturnian magic he and Helene had found up at his wonder, Kaifeng felt that something was off about his aim, or something. The attack didn’t strike as true as he would have liked.

Pyrrhus took a deep breath. He knew he couldn't really do much to a monster that big, but perhaps at least a moment of stillness would weaken it.
Still, something inside him felt....worn. Hopeless. Thalassa and Troilus were trying, fighting, throwing themselves and their magic at the beast in the sky. And Pyrrhus knew he had to. He knew he couldn’t just lay down, the way he wanted, and give up. His friends needed him. If he was ever going to get answers from Tyndareus, he had to escape.
And yet.
As he cast his magic, he felt something ache inside him, like it was ripping free with more power than he was used to. It hurt, and yet it still felt so...pathetic. Insignificant.
If he escaped this place, then what? Return to Earth? Keep slogging onward? Hope that he tripped into a way to fix the Chaos on his homeworld, as if he had ever been capable of fixing anything?
Tyndareus was just one more thing he'd broken, in a series of shattered things.
And around him, the color in this strange world began to fade away, leaving only himself, Thalassa, and Troilus in anything but a slowly bleeding gray.

Ympe cackled delightedly at having his cheek poked, which might have undercut the seriousness of the moment if not for the apocalyptic stakes before them. At least he stayed safe. Whatever lightning had crashed down around him, Ympe had managed to dodge around it. Or to just get lucky.
Whichever the answer was, Cryptomelane had the notion to give Ympe further direction. Instead, Industria cut him off with a kiss of her own, calling forth her magic. This time, when the vision of some great machine appeared before him, a spark of some other inspiration flared up inside his mind. As the sound of spinning gears echoed in his ears, he thought of the barrier, and of the weak points that might have lain beyond it.
“E lucevan le stelle,” he whispered, nudging his forehead down at Industria’s as he recalled Puccini’s words—words that Cryptomelane had heard dozens of times but only understood from translated subtitles or similar sources. “Entrava ella fragrante, mi cadea fra le braccia.…” He pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. “I shall return shortly, beloved.”
Teleporting before either she or Ympe could argue, Cryptomelane sent himself up out of the barrier. He spun his flail again, whacking as hard as he could at the softer scales he found on the Calamitous Hollow’s back. When he returned to Industria and Ympe, he came back paler than usual and unsteady on his feet, but wearing a grin that spoke to the victory he’d obtained in that attack.

Hawara moved from his place on the field - this one was more crowded, but the company was a little less Chaotic at least. In his prior tunnel-vision indignation he hadn't taken stock of who all was around him. Now that he had finally gone on the attack, some of that pent up aggression let out, he noticed, and although he wanted to believe that they were all focussed on the enemy before them, that didn't mean he trusted being so close to the 'enemy' for lack of better words.
He could have walked further in field, but would assess the situation again before he did. For now, he would again send a slashing gust of wind at the shrinking snake.
Ellicott, Super Senshi of Dance Location: E1 Rolled: 1, 2 Action: She is trying to kick WAY above her weight class Total: 1+5(stage modifier)+10(pin modifier) = 16 HP: 90-38= 52-11(shield failed)= 41 HP
Ellicott gritted her teeth as the battle took a more serious turn, the monster was fighting back but at least their small little group was growing with two others to help protect the spike and the energy it was casting. She knew, outside of getting up close and personal to the flying creature, there wasn’t much that she could do. Not even the several forms of martial arts that she practiced would likely do much. And yet, she practically itched to get several good hits on it.
She watched as fighter after fighter engaged the creature, while she just stood there. Even the chibi that had brought the spike to their spot was fighting with her magic, even this child had more useful magic then Ellicott did. And still she stood still, guarding.
The final straw was when a surprisingly 'weak' lighting strike broke through the shield and zapped her. It hurt. It hurt a lot! but it also pissed her off... exceedingly pissed her off. With a muttered curse, shaking off the tingling in her hands, the young woman glanced at the few fighters around the chibi and nodded. "Be right back," She quipped before taking the fight to the snake thing, angling it just right to drive her heel into the underside of it as hard as she could. Her anger, pain, shame, and every annoying feeling inside her fueling her strike, the pin she had secured to her collar glinting in the flashing light.

To say he was more than a bit ticked off that Jet cut him at the knee like that--don't follow him? To where he could do more damage to this thing and help bring the fight to a quicker close? Seraphinite didn't attempt to hide the glare, even as he gave a curt nod.
He couldn't exactly argue with the logic, much as it annoyed him.
He did at least teleport up within the barrier, slashing again at the creature's underside... landing once more, he cut a look towards Aquamarine, and then a double-take. He.... didn't look so great. Frowning, he reached into a pocket on his jacket, pulling out the bag and berry left in it from Almadel. "The card mentions health, and I somehow doubt that's the bracelet's purpose... it could help take an edge off. That energy you're dealing with doesn't exactly look like a summer breeze."

He had... a lot of questions about how the hell that magic of Rem's worked, but hey, he wasn't going to be badgering for the moment. Instead, he took relief in the momentary lack of absolute promise of pain and shot off another round of his magic up at the serpent up above.

Carnotite wasn't overly pleased about electricity being used against her like this, but if nothing else... it certainly gave her some motivation to keep attacking the damn serpent. And give more energy to keep the shield from failing.

"Why? Maybe being more on her wavelength would help you two vibe more," she laughed towards Janggunite, popping the berry from the pouch she'd gotten earlier into her mouth. It helped take off some of the edge of the pain she was feeling throughout her body, at least... "Fine, fine, though. I'll lay off, sorry." She wasn't about to pick a petty fight... at least not without Carnotite around to help watch her back a little. Huffing, but relenting, she instead focused on launching herself up on her own strength to take another swing at the serpent.

"...use that on the Commodore, if you would?" Her quiet words were directly to Kerberos and his offer for healing as she collected more of his energy. She'd survive fine, as she was sure the others there would... but the Commodore was feeding a great deal more energy into the shield. Necessary, certainly, but...
Her gaze hardened as another Uranus Knight (Ashur) approached, eyes scanning for the other one before focusing again on him as she pushed her Source Stone to him. "...consider your company wisely, knight," she hissed, even as she accepted the energy to feed the machine. They needed it, badly. Far as she was concerned for the moment, they could afford to close people out after they weren't in a world-risking situation...
....though she'd certainly not object to the chance to take some shots at that other knight in the mean time. As it was, she focused her shots up at the Hollow, instead.
Even though the snake was shrinking, that didn't make him feel any better. It didn't seem to make it's power diminish with the change in size, at least. And nothing good happened when large amounts of power were condensed like that....
They had to keep fighting, keep it on defence if possible.... Fighting strategy wasn't his thing. ANd there was no time to really think on it. Just.. to keep fighting.
Princess Cybele Location: E5 Action: Jumping on CH's back to go all Princess Power, and then having a panic attack because of her fear of heights and falling. Total: 5 + 15 (Rank) + 15 (Jumping on CH) + 10 (Almadel Pin) + 50 (Crystal Power) = 95 HP: 165 - 38 - 30 (Jumping on CH) = 97
The others were fighting so bravely. They listened to her advice, took her magic strength. Even Arricia found courage, and Cybele found herself smiling at the younger girl. There had always been a part of her that loved watching people blossom into warriors.
She was proud of the others, too, everywhere on the field. The creature was clearly taking damage, as impossibly large as it had once seemed to be. But it wasn't enough. The shield was cracking. Those around her were beginning to falter, and anyway, it was watching them now. This thing ate worlds. She had no doubt that if it truly attacked, it could swallow all of them instantly.
Cybele glanced at its armored underbelly. She glanced at its face, at its eyes, at it claws, at anything that might have been a weak point. She swallowed.
It was so high up.
Something deep inside of her protested at what she was about to do. She could bite back her fear fairly easily facing any type of beast of blade. Corruption might have been the thing she dreaded the most, the thing she'd choose death over any day, but she'd faced it head on before and won.
Heights, though? They'd always been something of a kryptonite for her. The Princess power came with wings, but she'd never even thought of trying to use them. Not until now. Not until it meant life or death for those around her.
"I'm so proud of all of you," she said, her voice almost emotionless in the storm although her face was even paler than usual. Her violet eyes flashed in the low light as she said, "Now it's my turn."
She leaped. The gravity was strange here. For a moment, it was like she was floating. She kept her eyes on the beast. That was something she could do. That was something she'd trained herself to do, for as long as she could remember. She didn't even see Faustite. Only the face. She grit her teeth. This was her chance.
She wasn't going to waste it. "Prey's Agony!" she called out into the gale, and she could feel the warmth of her own starseed in her chest, of her Crystal. The ethereal bow formed in her hands. She held the string in her fingers, and in that split second, there was just her, the arrow, the beast. All the energy in her chest flowed into that single shot.
She landed on the back of the dragon, lightning coursing through her numb feet and into the part of her legs with feeling. A battle cry turned into a wordless scream as she let her arrow fly. It bit deep past the beast's scales.
Her feet gave way, of course. Her balance was awful. And in the moment of that first wobble, she looked down. She saw the distance below her, the fall. All of that sharp focus fizzled into nothingness. Her eyes widened as her brain filled with nothing but panic and static. She could only see the fall, only hear something like a distant whine.
Cybele dropped like a rock, wings limp and useless beside her.
Although his magic had a kind of 'recoil' against him, Haldane felt like he was at least doing something. After this, if they survived, he would surely figure out whatever he needed to do to fix that. He felt dizzy, ate a berry, and felt a little better, but was still growing weary - how much more of this could he take? His power was so little.... Still, he felt he could do more.
The best defense was a good offense? Right? Bellatrix kept attacking, but also kept an eye on Haldane - the boy was trying so hard, but between inexperience and lack of power, he was on the struggle bus with a flat tire. But he wasn't giving up. That put a bit of a smile on her face.

Stepping back to keep giving energy and adding +6 to the shield this round. Total: 5 + 15 (rank) + 50 (crystal bonus) + 15 (x2 rank, crystal flower) = 85 HP: 158 - 38 (prompt) + 29 (Aliez shield) - 14 (10+4 roll) - 60 (hp to shield) = 75
The Hollow pulled away, shaking off the chain to the shattering of glass. Light sparked and flickered around it. It would have been beautiful if it hadn't been so terrifying... or maybe it was beautiful despite that. Ida worked as quickly as she could, shoving her energy at whoever would take it from her. There was so much within her, so much around her... it felt like her nerve ending sang with the energy flowing through her like a rive. It surged and bucked in her mental grip, flooding her more and more... Ida nearly cried out at the pleasure and pain of it, the lines on her skin glowing bright. From her subspace she yanked free the flower she had been saving there, its crytal form sparkling in the flashes of lighting. It bit into her palm, drawing a drop of blood, but she ignored it, feeling the power surging higher.
Stumbling away from the others, she threw her arms up and glowing petals flew from her hands, joining together into a curve of light. She grabbed it and pulled back a string made of that same light, an arrow appearing between her hands. Now... She had to release all of this now. Her arrow flew, taking a large chunk of her energy with it as it roared across the space between herself and the Hollow, trailing light behind it. It exploded as it struck, a flash and then gone again. Ida sagged, watching as those around her added their attacks to hers.
So many people were attacking it, drawing its attention to them, and still it swam through the clouds, the only effect a diminishing of size. Around her the other scrambled to help, to do something... even the Vanguard was donating their own energy now, pushing everything they had at their leader as he shoved his hand into his machine, his eyes beginning to glow with the powers he was wielding. The shield was breaking down... He'd said they only had so long before it failed, but it was protecting all of them from the monster above. If it went down, they were going to lose people... it had to stay up.
There was a woman who stepped forward, this one with green hair and rich blue-purple skin (Nessaela), and Ida gave her a strained smile as she reached out to touch the offered stone, pouring energy into it. More... They needed more energy... Ida stepped back towards the group and reached out to them, pouring what she had left into their waiting stones as her hands moved from one to the next. More and more... she felt it draining her after her attack, but she couldn't stop, not while the shield was still up.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Heavenly Orchid Arrows!
[What it does] An out-flung hand casts a trail of petals that form a bow-like shape. She takes it up and uses it to fire arrows of light with hardened petals as arrow heads. The arrows have an 'aura' of power to them and explode on contact. The explosion is more concussive, causing a pressure that can push a target backwards a foot or two, but doesn't do much in the way of actual damage. Unbalanced enemies could be knocked over, if they were caught unaware. Particularly heavy opponents may not be moved by the attack, but could be distracted or slowed by the pressure of it. Each arrow takes a lot of power to cast and her limit is three, which exhausts her and can force her to retire until she's rested.
(Ida is open for other Vanguard to assume they are taking her energy)

Corporal Nessaela Location: F3 Action: Taking energy from those willing to donate. Keeping an eye on things. Offering up source stone for Lyndin Total: n/a HP: 95hp (( - 9 )) = 86hp?
The amount of electricity in the air was concerning Nessaela. The corporal didn't believe that anything they made should have been sparking so much and seeing the Commodore literally stick his hand in that mess of circuits and wires was alarming. The source stone she had been using on one of the newest arrivals (Monoceros) trembled in her hands at the sight. Even though Aliez was using his shield to great effect was he now in danger from being caught up in what could be a massive surge of energy from Lyndin's shield device?
Ignoring the threat above them Nessaela made a cautious move to stand nearer to their medic before offering up the source stone she had had since arriving on Earth. It wouldn't do her any good if irreparable harm came to the one who was responsible for the Vanguard.
"Aliez, is there a way to get this stone to Lyndin for his use, and not the shield?"

Looking up, Aoede didn't like that the thing had its full attention on them now more than ever before. Getting hit, whether or not it was an actual punch, was the last thing she wanted, and she took a moment to steady herself before throwing her magic out again, not even bothering with the warning because she doubted people would hear it or do anything about it before the sound came. ------------------------------------------------------

With his cousins nearby and more attacks coming in, Stichtite was starting to get frustrated at the fact that Beintoite insisted on them all being here. It made sense for him and his cousin, at least both of them had some experience in all this, but for the other two, if he could talk sense into any of them, he'd have had them all stay back.
But stubbornly, and frustratingly, he couldn't do anything about it in the middle of all this. Gritting his teeth as he focused, he went to slice at the thing again, it was all he could do because he needed to keep close to keep an eye out for those he might need to bandage up later.
Then he saw Miyamoto, and cursed under his breath as he stepped away from Benitoite. There was so much going on, but he was focused and knelt down next to the corrupt. "How bad is this one?" There wasn't much to do about in here, not with everything going on, but he could at least stick closer to help where and how he could.
With the next attack, he stumbled, bumping into Melpomene as the electricity threw him off for a moment. It tingled up his arm as he held onto his bow. "It looks like we all got its attention, all of it, it seems." Which meant it was pissed and getting weakened.
Looking back, he saw Cici looking worse for wear as she tried to do something to help. It was admirable, but he didn't like the fact that there weren't any healers around. Lacert might be here somewhere, more than likely with the other Mirror senshi, but other than that, he had no idea where the nearest person to help her might be.
We need to find a healer for my lieutenant; she cannot handle all this. Are you alright, though, darling? He focused on his next shot as he kept close to Melpomene. This wasn't looking good, even if the thing was getting smaller.

Trying her best to keep the debris from getting onto the mauvian she was holding, she hissed at the incoming zap before deciding to just toss one of the heavier bits of electronic junk she had in subspace from her tinkering.
"Are you alright?" Taking a moment to brush some of the debris off of them, the growing frustration that she couldn't do more had the fur on her tail prickling up slightly.
"The shield isn't going to hold much longer against that thing; we need to figure out our options." Keeping her voice lowered as she moved in closer to Chalcanthite, and Melpomene, she noticed a familiar alien senshi nearby and tried not to draw attention to herself.

Remembering the note, one she had glossed over, Portia ate the berry as she felt worn down by all the fighting. This was more than she'd really moved or done in a long while. Even when she'd poked around on that other senshi's world, she'd kept to the sidelines and done the bare minimum to help fight.
Using magic felt off, it felt like it was fighting her, and that added to the already white hot hate she had for her planet. Not only had she been trapped, cursed to solitude for so long time seemed to cease existing, she couldn't even use the power that had supposedly come with that title of senshi.
Trying again, she glared up at the thing, daring it to break through. If she could get close enough, she had half a mind to jab it in the face with one of the pens she had in her subspace.
The lightning damage was starting to burn, and it looked like the shield was starting to get some holes in it. Mystras wasn't giving up, though. It seemed like a bad time to give up when the the snake was actively starting to try to kill everyone.
