Belmont, Squire of Jupiter
Holding onto Constantinople/Connie, grabbing a bag before it drops

As soon as the winds picked up, Belmont wrapped his arm around Connie’s waist and pulled her close. He wasn’t worried about flying off himself but she had so many skirts and the winds were whipping them around her with such force that he wanted to make sure she didn’t.

He’d moved to her other side and made his best effort to block the winds from hitting her–or her little tree–head on. He managed to snag a falling bag in the process, more out of alarm than desire, but he held onto it with as much determination as he held onto her.

“I’m fine, I’ve got you. Are you okay? Don't let go, I don't want you to fly away.”

Commander Naeria
Action: Talking to Vyn, reaching for Andreyia's hand
Roll: 79

She always tended to freeze up when the nerves came over her. It was hard to escape those nerves, when the sky churned like that, no matter how much of an opportunity something like this might be.

Vyn's hand on her arm softened her, somewhat. She turned to look at him, owlish eyes wide as ever, although it still took her a moment longer to actually speak. Words always took her a long time to process, but eventually, she managed them.

"Thank you," she told him. She knew he often tried to make sure that everyone was well protected. She looked to Andreyia, too, who she knew had spent most of his time protecting her injured self last time they'd seen battle. "I. I will be stronger this time. I will do what I can to protect the others."

Even the other Commanders. If she'd learned something on Earth, how to handle awful situations had to be part of it.

The suggestion to try to stay together was a good one. She reached for Andreyia's hand, even as she reached for the strange bag with her other hand.

Hy-Brasil, Transcended Knight of Earth
Action: Watching Grieve harass Nekoite, ignoring Roka in return, and catching her own bag of items and putting items on

Did Grieve look overtly pleased to see her, or was Hy just making things up in her head. It was…odd. Sure, the Earth Knight wasn’t overtly familiar with the alien woman but in the interactions she’d had with Grieve she had never seemed happy with Hy. Mind there were…circumstances to consider. “I’d prefer action over nothing I suppose. Perhaps you live on the adrenaline?” The Deep Space Senshi did seem to be involved in things that put her in the direct path of chaos. Not that that was a bad thing, but Hy had encounter several people who were much more inactive and preferred to keep a quiet watch over things. “Pizza?” Such an odd comment. Had Hy missed something?

That thought was shot down the drain as a negaverse agent (nekoite) bumped into banana-hued woman and the skewers of meat were sent tumbling to the ground. That look of despair and the quick snap to anger as Grieve turned on the agent. That was a more familiar appearance. And if the agent thought they’d get any help from the Earth Knight they were sorely mistaken.

Hy stood there and stared their uninvited ‘friend’ down as Grieve harassed them.

“Ah. You seem to know quite a lot of people.” She looked at the agent with more interest. “In fairness, with how young they look, they may not have had a say in their corruption.” She tilted her head, red hair cascading over her shoulder. “Perhaps he’d be willing to rectify his mistake?”

Another made an appearance who, quite literally, ignored Hy. The Earth Knight was unperturbed by the slight as she looked the senshi up and down. Obviously, there was a history between this person and Grieve.

At that moment the world seemed to shift. Hy sucked in a breath as he gaze shifted from Grieve and the Lieutenant to the sky above. The whole thing felt like it was going to crash down on them. Wait. Had something moved? It was hard to tell.

Items began falling form the sky at that point and for a moment, the Earth Knight thought they may be getting attacked until she realized it was merely bags. Bags with small notes with a scribbled wording about health, strength and safe returns. “Ah. Almadel.” She recognized the handwriting from the letter she had from the alien during the kosopods incident. Opening the small container, she fished around and pulled out three items, one of which was practically demanding her to place it on. She rolled the bracelet around in his hand for a few moments, hesitant to heed it’s command, but eventually slipped it onto her wrist. The pin was fastened onto the leather of her bodice.

The berry… Well, she wasn’t about to just ingest it. Instead, she plopped the item safely into her subspace.

Squire Carterhaugh of Earth
Action: Alone, taking the shiny <3

The end approached.

Carterhaugh could feel the change in the air, and they clutched their rose closer to their chest, feeling the wind whip their skirts and hair into a tangle. They felt like a damsel in a tower, hoping for rescue by a handsome prince; and maybe that wasn’t totally inaccurate, all things considered. There was only so much one Squire could do against the end of the world, especially one that had few connections and fewer reliable ones.

He exhaled, and felt as if the storm whipped his breath from his lips.

And there was a glittery rain of hope.

Caterhaugh’s eyes widened, and he reached out, taking the little pouch out of the air.

“Whoever you are, Almadel,” he said under his breath, “thank you.” He wasn’t sure his thanks would reach wherever this stranger was, but he could still take out the bracelet and pin and take comfort in them. Even if he himself didn’t know many people, Order as a whole had allies. Earth had people looking out for it. Even from beyond its stars.

And with all of that…how could they fail here?

Captain Litharge
Roll: 11
Action: Putting on the items, standing firm

His knuckles cracked as he gripped the shaft of his scythe harder with the appearance of the white scale in the sky. By Odin, this thing was massive. Getting through even one scale would be hard, much less to the flesh underneath. If it even had flesh under there. Talk turned to going to fight the creature off world as Headache vanished - probably wisely - and a bag appeared in front of him.

At the comments from Helio and Faustite, he pulled the bracelet and pin from the bag, and popped bag into the deep pockets of his pants. He had nothing really in subspace, but his weapon was metal. Eh, he could still punch and kick if the scythe become a lightning rod. He'd have to. Because like hell was he letting his team go without him.

"I'm with you, Faustite. I'm with all of you, until the end of the line. You gave me a home when I didn't have one, and a purpose. Besides, if I die fighting something akin to Jourmanger, I think I get into Valhalla," he said with a wide grin and a firm nod.

Corrupt Mizuki, Super Senshi of Lilacs
Roll: 23
Action: Gunna follow her dad into the abyss

"Of course I'm coming. Like Lithy, I'll follow you into the abyss over and over, Faustie. You're one of my dads, and like hell am I going to let you die on your own again," she told him, pulling sheathed knives and scalpels - don't ask where she got them - from subspace and tucking them into her bodice for save keeping. Her magic would probably be useless if she couldn't summon it, so she always kept some more... deadly tools at her disposal.

She set her shoulders, putting on the pin and bracelet after she let Haymitch down to jump onto Albite's shoulder instead.

Once more unto the breach.

Corrupt Guardian Haymitch
Roll: 28
Action: Jumping up onto his bonding, obviously going with

Haymitch patted Mizuki's arm to be let down as people started stating they were following their General King into the abyss. He wasn't a fan of his bonded going, but he wasn't going to let him go alone. He wasn't going to let any of them go alone. He jumped up onto Albite's shoulder and settled into place, tail curling around the back of his neck.

"I'm coming too, unless you need me else where. I am not leaving my bonded, and... I want to be useful as a Mau in this. I know I've never been... good at this thing. At being a Guardian Cat. So if this is how we go out, I want to give it my all," said the cat, who spoke far more confident and stoicly than he'd ever spoken before. To think it took the end of the world to get him to mature a little.

Maybe if they survived this, he'd finally grow up.

Commodore Lyndin

Action: Lyndin is addressing the nearby Vanguardians to share that he doesn’t know if Almadel is trustworthy, but he advises they all put on the bracelet they were given.

As the wind picked up, Lyndin turned his body just slightly to buffer it as best as possible. The group was large enough that he might not have had much of an impact but he’d rather do a little than do nothing. He seemed ready to help grab anyone who needed an extra hand, but in the process he made contact with one of Almadel’s treasures.

His eyes narrowed slightly at the bag, only because he had learned to be suspicious of all things.

All things considered, it didn’t seem like much could be worse than the threat descending from the sky, or the dense, suffocating pressure building around them.

When Aliez attempted to scan the bag, he would make the unfortunate realization that his ComTech was struggling to find any connection. It was attempting to read the item, but the energy was so thick in the air that every scan appeared to be overloading the system. The screen would flicker and glitch, and the ComTech seemed to attempt to power off, got stuck in a loading screen, and then rebooted. Any attempts to utilize the ComTech’s scanning features would yield the same result.

Briefly, he nodded at Itztenoch, if only to assure that he heard his words, and that was as much of a promise that he would abide by the same request he made of the others. He scanned the area to memorize whose faces were here–both the Velencians clustered around him, and those who were keeping a bit of a distance.

I am not familiar enough with Almadel to comment on his trustworthiness. I suspect some of you have had more conclusive dealings with him than I, so I will defer to your judgment. But,” he paused as he examined the items. The pin and berry did not seem to be mean much to him, but he held the bracelet in his hand for a long moment before he spoke again.

He brushed his thumb over the smooth crystal and looked, like he thought he might find an answer hidden in the misty haze bouncing between each facet.

When he looked to see that the Vanguard had them–and order, and chaos, indiscriminately, he decided, “I cannot speak for the other items he has given, but I would trust this. Keep this one safe. Don’t take it off.

The skies were dripping closer, so Lyndin’s attention quickly shifted to what was obviously the approaching danger. He dismissed the bag Almadel had given them, but he put the bracelet on.

I believe these Vanguardians are in the peripheral of the group or are not with the cluster of Vanguardians around Lyndin; if this is incorrect, please let Kyuseisha no Hikari know! Quoting because of the following information about ComTech shared within the above post:

DMS Super Hybris
actions:
joining the main DMC group, doing some acting

Honestly Hybris felt Demeter would be fine since they looked like they should be part of the Mirror, they were so autumnal and that pumpkin theme would look so nice with a black bodice. But it was true that their prince wasn't the sort to just go throwing people into mirrors on a whim or as part of an aesthetic selection, which was honestly a shame as far as Hybris was concerned. Still, he hoped Lete would convince her little paramour to join the better faction sooner rather than later.

And speaking of joining, here they were among their own and what greeted them was simply mana from heaven. Or gifts from the Merchant as it were. "Oh! How generous of him..." He held the berry up, expression curious. "He's such a curious person. Do you suppose we owe him a favor for this?"

He glanced around at the other members of the Mirror, admired their uniforms, tried to maneuver himself into being completely surrounded by senshi who were clearly very capable and...completely ignored what was happening above him, He did not just see that. He did not just feel that.

"But it really is just so nice to see everybody here," Hybris voiced mildly, looking more at ease and calm than he had since traveling through the mirror with Lete.

Squire Karakorum
Action: With Corvina, Lanting, and Dunnottar. Distracting herself by hitting on Dunn. sorry dunn.

Karakorum rolled her eyes. Corvina was so serious about everything, ugh, it was so lame unless it was her brother and his happiness. No one else, Lanting included, seemed to take that seriously enough, so she guessed that it was good somebody did. But this? This was just annoying.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever, Xena: Warrior Prince,” she grumbled, glaring up at the sky. “I’m here, aren’t I? I’m doing the stupid climb, and—ah!” Suddenly, she was very relieved for the presence of Big Beefy Man who could support her and make sure the wind didn’t carry her off. Which felt like a very real possibility, somehow.

At least there were a pair of distractions. First, the sparkly little bag descending from the sky, which she reached out to snatch, and without even thinking about it—there was a cute little flirty note! Obviously it was totally safe!--she slapped on the bracelet and the pin, grinning all the while.

And then there was another person. And he was cute.

She straightened, a little, adjusting her dress Just So, and grinned at him.

“Hi there, handsome, I’m Karakorum and it is such a pleasure to meet you.” Oh, she was real glad that her outfit was a little bit slutty. It did such nice things for her, and hopefully he’d notice. ….Hopefully he was into girls, that was always up in the air. Oh well, shoot her shot and if it missed, it missed.

Knight Lanting
Action: With Corvina, Karakorum, and Dunnottar. Accepting Almadel's gift and bracing for what's to come.

Lanting sighed, deeply, at Karakorum. Lianhua was Lianhua, no matter if she was magical or not. But he reached out to pat Corvina’s arm, a silent “thank you” for him calling out Karakorum’s nonsense. And when he got pulled in to brace against the oncoming winds, he was definitely glad to be tucked up against his boyfriend’s side, protected from the worst of the winds.

“Kara—” he started, when she grabbed for the little bag and immediately slapped its contents on, but then he sighed and simply took his, also putting on the pin and bracelet.

“Need help?” He asked Corvina, holding out a hand to take the pouch if Corvina deigned to drop it for him. “Since you’re busy holding onto us, I can get these on for you, if you want.” They were from Almadel, after all, so it was probably safe to trust that he actually meant to help.

Dunnottar’s arrival made him perk up, right up until Karakorum decided to take a new tack in her eternal ridiculousness.

He sighed, in the most put-upon way possible.

“Hey, Dunnottar. This is my sister. You’re welcome to ignore her, she knows she’s being ridiculous,” he said, which elicited an annoyed ”Hey!” from Karakorum. “Good to see you. Glad you’re doing okay so far.” And at least they were greeting the end of the world together, side by side as friends.

Squire d'If
Action: With Dunwich, accepting the gifts and putting them on

d’If couldn’t help but laugh, just a little. Dunwich’s fiery spirit was one of the many things he adopted about her, and her utter intolerance for the possibility of anything but their success was heartening. They would, indeed, succeed; he was sure of it. Or at least, he was sure that they would do everything they could.

There was no place for uncertainty. No room to bend.

When she clung to him for support against the storm, he wrapped an arm around her waist, holding her close. He caught his bag with his free hand, and made a soft, thoughtful noise.

“It would be a poor time for someone to try and play a trick on us all,” he said, “so I suppose we have to trust them.” Because, indeed, the bracelet seemed to hum with desire to be worn. So he slid it on, and attached the pin to the lapel of his jacket.

“The Caribbean. Or a Mediterranean cruise. Somewhere nice and sunny this summer, I think.” Because they would live to celebrate their survival. Earth’s survival.

Sailor Byakko Senshi of the West (basic): Journal

Byakko was looking at coco as she spoke then glanced back to Tea. The cat seemed fairly energetic, and when Coco said it was nice to meet her Byakko chuckled lightly, "I suppose you forgot we met briefly at Almadel's. But that's fine it's been quite a while." There was a nod, "Just as well, I'm Byakko."

She ribbed her sister, "Yeah thanks for helping my little sis out rank me." There was a pause when the blue bag with gold ribbon came out of the sky from Almadel himself. She looked at it interested in what he could've sent them. What a curious fellow. She pulled out the contents of the bag and put the little pin on her sash beside the green gem. She then inspected the bracelet and sighed, "He's such a mysterious fellow." Byakko slipped the bracelet onto her arm. Then dismissing the bag into her subspace with the berry in order to keep it safe for right now.

Super Sailor Tea Senshi of Mice : Journal

Tea grinned at Coco as she spoke and looked up towards the sky thinking she caught a glimpse of some white scales. "I hope we can take it on." She said softly. Looking around again at everyone else who was here. She seemed to ponder, thinking that Byakko's might be the only offensive magic between the two of them.

She made a noise when her sister ribbed her, "Well maybe you should work harder and you'd be able to our rank me first!" She chuckled a little before turning her eyes to the sky.

"Oh, Thank you Almadel!" She said when the bag came out of the sky and she read the tag. Pulling out the contents she was looking at the items and placed the pin on her collar. Before sliding the braclet onto her wrist. "I guess we'll see what these do. But at least he's helping -- I think...."

General King Axinite, General King Lepidolite, and General Queen Hessonite

The General Sovereigns have received Almadel's strange gifts; Hessonite is observing and in a good mood. Axinite and Lepidolite are speaking with Taenite and Tyndareus

“Taenite,” Axinite sighed heavily and gave him an exasperated glance “Please,” he protested, but Lepidolite boisterously exclaimed, “Yuma, Arizona. Sunniest City on Earth.” He jabbed Axinite in the side with his elbow and ignored the annoyed look he received. “Take me with you. Tropical’s overrated, you’ll never get him out on the beach, anyway. They grow a lot of lettuce out there.”

Hessonite smiled as Brassite hurried off, but so far as she was concerned, her job was done here. Oh–well, no. There was still the world-ending monster, but now that she was in a good mood, it seemed a little less daunting.

Tyndareus’ arrival was a brief reprieve from what Axinite could only assume to be needless badgering. If it had been Axinite’s call, he wouldn’t have wanted Tyndareus here. He had magic, sure, but he was so new to this. He’d had next to no time to dip his toes into things, and soon it seemed like he’d be drowning.

Maybe they’d all be.

“I’m glad to see you in such good spirits,” he said instead, and even managed a cheerless smile in his direction. “The best advice I can give you is to find someone to watch your back, and to watch their back as well. And don’t stand behind anyone with a weapon. With all these energy signatures, you’re just as likely to get hurt by an ally if you’re not careful, they might not even know you’re there. May I suggest Taenite?”

He nodded to the Eternal Senshi with them. “He’s got an abundance of energy. And he’s very loyal and hardworking,” he said, certainly loud enough for Taenite to hear. Even as he and the other General Sovereigns seemed temporarily distracted with the strange bags that had manifested, Axinite never lowered his guard.

Super Grieve of the Collapse
Action:

Group: Hy-Brasil, Grieve, Nekoite, Roka
roll: 71

Grieve made a sound of frustration in her throat that, to the unfamiliar, might sound an awful lot like a rather vicious growl. But her lands began to lighten up and finally she swiped the lunchbox out of the wimpy chaos pissbaby's hands. "Deal. I guess you can ********' live until the ********' snake flosses its teeth with you."

Giving Roka a lewd gesture that likely hadn't been seen on Earth in a millennia, she affectionately sneered, "How's about you unbecome a dangly little s**t?"

Thinking over Hy-Brasil's words, Grieve's hand caught at the agent's uniform, "You'll stay with us though. So you can see how ******** magic works and if you change your tiny chaos ******** mind about having a tiny chaos ******** mind, I'll go get my ex-wife to purify your a**." She gave Hy-Brasil an expectant look, as if asking for praise for doing a great job at this whole giving people a chance to purify bullshit.

Tucking away the bento box for later, Grieve snatched the Merchant's sack and gave it an assessing heft. "Nice. ******** knows how to treat mercs, huh?"

She gave Roka a knowing glance, eyes flicking up to something bigger than anything they'd ever faced before. The grin spreading across her face was truly a horrible sight to behold.

Captain Seraphinite

    post 12
Sticking close to Aquamarine and Jet, in with Jet & Co., putting on gift jewelry

He hadn't meant to say it that loud. For a moment, Seraphinite's eyes widened slightly towards Jet, before a rather large grin broke across his face. Not something he typically did in a crowd, but part of him couldn't help but indulge in the momentary banter. It told him things were normal enough, it told him things would end as they should, and they could get those drinks, laugh about this bullshit, and life would move on as it should.

"Happy to test it when all this is over," he shot back. Yes, they were all older now, and yes, he figured Ilian would have an easier time pacing himself and holding his liquor. But the useless challenge felt fitting to him now. Save the world, then just... be grateful. Laugh. Sounded good to him, personally.

As the storm picked up, as the sky began to fall, he moved forward with Aquamarine, an arm up to block the worst of the wind and debris from his eyes. Like the prison? He cut the blond a look before reverting his gaze to the clouds... and something moving beyond them..? "Looks like our uninvited guest is at our front door," he snorted, before being cut off by... a uh. Bag popping into existence in front of him. With glitter. He caught it with his free hand, looking to Jet as he added context to things. Ah. Right. That name had come up in some of the reports...

You too, said Jet, and Seraphinite rolled his eyes in a mock of yeah yeah, whatever before opening the bag and... well. The bracelet was... interesting. He slipped that on first, joining the thick bracelet of his stone namesake. The pin, he put up by his neck, on the high collar of his jacket.

Aquamarine's commentary, though, actually made him laugh outright. The corners of his eyes crinkled briefly before his expression smoothed out. "Well alright then. I'm willing to deal with the headache of both of you pass out drunk, in that case. Sounds like it'd be interesting to see."

Deep Space Eternal Sailor Helene
Action: Finding Surtur and Rainier, collecting his bag, looking for Kaifeng & co

Going to the hill without Kaifeng had Helene on edge. During such an important time, it was difficult to be separated from his zhiyin, but Kaifeng had family responsibilities. And Helene had his duty to his adoptive world.

And to his home, truth be told. He could not seek a way to clear the Chaos from Helene if Earth was destroyed and its many clever, helpful people lost with it. Certainly he was more than aware that he could not save his world alone.

And so he was here, and he sought any familiar faces in the crowd on the hill as the winds changed and Almadel’s gifts descended. He scooped his up and held it close to his chest, and then his eyes landed on a rather familiar horned tiara.

“Surtur,” he greeted as he closed the distance between them, and there was a hint of pleased surprise to his voice. "I am glad to see you, here." It was remarkable, how many had survived, and every time he found another face he recognized he was heartened. It was not so pleasant that so many had suffered for so long, but…

A known face was a known face, and while he would not have said that he and Surtur were close, they were Senshi of Saturnian moons and had worked together (over the Helenian council’s objections, but Helene did many things over the council’s objections.)

The Mercury Squire (Rainier) with him got a nod.

“I am Helene,” he introduced himself to her, and then tilted his head; he could hear Kaifeng through their earring link, and thought back to him.

I am safe, and with an old acquaintance. I will try to find you.

“My partner is here,” he said, “with a group. I would like to find him—will the two of you join me?” It was a genuine request, and Helene hoped to not have to cross the battlefield alone.
