Kaifeng, Knight of Saturn
    wc: 589.

Action: entering, scooping up Acrucis, Erytheia, and Selenga on the way. Trying to move toward Helene (+Surtur and Rainier). Also, there’s a gift-bag.

Kaifeng was running later than he would’ve liked, but……well. Having family in town again—or, more accurately, abruptly becoming aware of the fact that he’d had family in town for quite some time and simply hadn’t known—came with certain responsibilities. While he still hadn’t quite made up with Jiayi and Jiawei, the twin siblings who’d been born next after him, Liánlí had easily accepted Xiuying, Chunmian, and the girls into his life. He knew that he needed to get to the hill, but he’d also needed to make sure that his da-jie, her husband, and his nieces would be safe.

That whole process had entailed very many hugs for a pair of little girls—well, one little girl and one girl who was very freshly twelve, as Huanjing did not want to let her er-jiu forget—and it had taken somewhat longer than intended. He’d told Huanxi to go ahead, that he’d meet his zhyin there, but as Kaifeng got closer and saw the throng of people, it occurred to him that he was going to have his work cut out for him about finding the zhiyin in question.

Moving through the crowd, Kaifeng found his way to Selenga first, and didn’t linger or hesitate. He took his cousin-in-law by the elbow and tugged him along through the crowd. “Stick with me, Leng-Leng,” Kaifeng told him earnestly. “Helene’s out here somewhere, and there’s strength in numbers. We’ve got to get you back to your loving spouse, right?”

Normally, Kaifeng didn’t mind saying Qiye’s name while powered up, but the overwhelming feeling of five General-Sovereigns being out on the field kept him from doing it now. Sure, Jet had been decent enough to deal with, but Kaifeng didn’t trust Faustite nearly as much as Murikabushi did. Nor did he think that Faustite having been hurt in his past excused the way he tended to behave in the present, or the way that he really did seem to take Murikabushi for granted (in Kaifeng’s admittedly biased opinion that nobody had asked for).

The next familiar face Kaifeng found his way to was not Helene, but the Cosmos Knight who’d helped him out during the big battle at Hy-Brasil’s Wonder. “Erytheia, hey!” How Kaifeng could manage such an eager smile at the end of the world, with the sky literally ripping open above them and gift-bags from Almadel appearing for everyone, he himself didn’t rightly know. But, like, it was better to be positive and nice to people, he thought. If this was the sort of situation they might not come back from, then Kaifeng wanted to go out spreading the positive vibes he wanted to see in the universe. “This is Selenga of Ida, he’s family. Wanna stick together for strength in numbers?”

Leading the three of them further into the fray—feeling like they really needed to embrace the pull of the void if they wanted to do something about any of this—Kaifeng didn’t spot Helene. He tried putting out feelers through their matching magical earrings: Gege, I found Selenga and Erytheia, but I can’t find you. Are you alright?

So caught up in that thought, Kaifeng nearly missed noticing a senshi (Acrucis) whom he didn’t recognize, but……it looked like she was searching for somebody, too.

“Hey, there,” he called out to her, trying to close the distance and trusting Selenga and Erytheia to keep up. “I’m Kaifeng of Saturn. And these two fine Knights with me are Erytheia of Cosmos and Selenga of Ida. Are you looking for somebody? Can we help you?”

Corrupt Sailor Industria
Action: Bracing against the storm and equipping her shiny new gifts

When the storm picked up, Industria let herself be pulled close to Cryptomelane. Certainly she could have been silly and prideful about it, but that seemed ridiculous in the face of the end of the world, and also, being pulled in close made her feel safe and secure.

“I know,” she said, in lieu of any more detail. Cryptomelane would not let her be harmed. THis was a simple fact.

When the little glittery bag descended, she extended both hands, letting it land in her palms and drawing it towards her. The note was from an unfamiliar sender, and it made her frown a little.

“Crypto? Do you know anything about this Almadel? Can he be trusted?” She asked. It seemed prudent to wonder, given the state of things.

Given that he had more experience than her and seemed to think they were fine, though, Industria also put on her bracelet and pin, shaking it a little to watch the gem dangle.

“I hope we get to keep these,” she sighed. “Would be a shame to lose such nice jewelry. Or the research opportunity to poke at them and see what they’re made of.”

Harmonia, Eternal Senshi of Harmony
Action: Joining Muri's group and putting on the braclete and pin

Harmonia was feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people around her. It wasn't until she found a singular familiar face in the crowd that she sighed with relief. She wasn't terribly familiar with the wide-sleeved senshi, but she recognized them and that was enough.

Slipping around bodies, Har hurried over to Murikabushi and the group of others he was with just as the air around them all seemed to grow heavy and different. She sucked in a breath at the sensation, nearly tripping over her own two feet as she was taken by surprise. Eyes squeezed tight until the feeling lifted and she sucked in a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. Thankfully, she'd made it to the group at least, and she shuffled her way into their small pod. "Did you all feel that too?"

A dip of her head. "I hope you don't mind if I just insert myself into your group here, but You're the first familiar face I've seen in all of these people." She spoke to Muri, eyes lifting from them when the movement of something caught her attention. The little bags that were drifting down were both adorable and intriguing. She wasted no time in cracking it open. The bracelet was quick to be donned upon her slender wrist. The pin and berry she looked at curiously. "Well, this is interesting."

It was a moment or two before she looked down at herself, studying where best to put the pin before finally situating it just to the left of her bow on her bodice.

Commander Andreiya

Andreiya is with the cluster of Vanguardians around Lyndin and is latching onto Aliez to stabilize himself in the wind

Andreiya moved with Aliez and Vyn without protest; he kept himself healthy and he was of perfectly average height for a Velencian and the wind was still enough to make him feel off balance. Glad for Aliez’s quick thinking, he hooked their arms together. It left his hands free, so he snatched the bag out of the air quickly before the wind could blow it away. He didn’t know what it was but everyone had gotten one. It had to be help, right?

He looked up at Lyndin expectantly, squinting to try and lessen the uncomfortable sensation of wind in his eyes.

Thestias, Deep Space Senshi of Homeostatis
Action: Alone and Scared
Roll: 19

What a mess she stepped into.

Thestias knew this planet was bizarre since she had arrived. The temperatures were too low, at least too low for her to be comfortable, the food was of a strange variety, a wide strange variety that she was not sure she could process, the people were... Well, from what she read in the news, the people themselves might have been violent or disinclined to balance.

And now?

Now, she was receiving mysterious messages from an unknown source telling her to meet everyone there, because there was a mysterious creature that wished to eat this planet.

What was she supposed to do with this? Had it not been better just to stay at her planet? How did she get back there so she didn't die here?

There didn't seem to be any easy answers, nor did she really have anything to work with other than this bag of some sort that floated in front of her. She had no idea who Almadel who was, but she had no idea who any of these people were. She didn't want to die here.

Thestias would just have to figure out how to not.

Knight Halle of Lysithea
actions:
Getting gifts
group: Santa Maria Novella, Spasskaya, Lisse, Halle, Almere, Mechelen, Tikal

"Nobody's stronger with a spoon than you," Halle reassured Almere with a small quirk of a smile. One that grew at Santa Maria's statement that it was nice to see more people. A real first, from what Halle had seen of him.

Turning to Mechelen, he reminded her, "Remember, you can use your magic to protect, too. People can't get hurt while inside your magic."

Finally noticing the older Pluto Squire, he gave her a wave and Novella a curious lok. They seemed...familiar. Was the other boy out making...friends? And then a second Ganymede squire, Tikal, came up, rounding out the group in a way that made him feel distinctly more secure in the face of all those chaos auras.

Though maybe not...in the face of what was pressing into existence overhead. Even the little magic bag couldn't fully take his eyes off the thing. Absently, he introduced himself, hands moving to place the pin on his uniform, "I'm Halle. I can summon a fairly large shield...about the size of a garage? And I have Tulip, who can charge pretty impressively."

He slipped the bracelet over his wrist. "Be ready, I have a feeling things are about to get...weird."

Deep Space Super Sailor Pyrrhus
Action: With Thalassa and Troilus. Spotting Tyndareus. Feeling very Upset about it.

Pyrrhus had started to turn to Thalassa to answer his question when Troilus’s arrival made that unnecessary, so he just clarified, “not sure about Kaifeng and Helene, but I’d bet on them showing up. Too earnest about duty to miss the end of the world, I think.”

Frankly, that he was here at all was a testament to his own sort-of earnestness about duty. He could have ******** off, but that would have bene shameful. What kind of Pyrrhan balked at a chance for combat? The Lord of Murder and the Lady of Plots would guide him, and if he didn’t make it through this battle, they would welcome his soul.

Though it seemed a bit of a waste to die now, after a thousand long years. So when the wind changed, he braced himself, reaching out to catch the little gift from the strange merchant and suddenly glad that his hair was pinned up in a bun and out of his ******** way.

“When are you going to introduce your favorite people to him, by the way?” Pyrrhus asked Troilus, lightly. “I’ll be on my best behavior and everything!” Which maybe wasn’t much. Pyrrhus’s best behavior was still a degree of feral little shittery. But it was more than he promised most people, ever.

He slid on the bracelet and attached the pin, and some small part of his brain, the part that had struggled with food for a thousand years, really wanted to pop the berry in his mouth, but he just barely resisted the urge. It would probably be better for later. He needed to Not.

And, anyway, Thalassa had spotted something—and it made Pyrrhus’s heart sink.

“Yeah,” he said, softly. It might have gotten lost on the wind, were he, Troilus, and Thalassa any further apart. “Yeah, I think we do.”

That familiar shade of green. The stitched-together tatters. Black where there should have been white, and the hair was different, no ears, no tail, because he’d been reborn on Earth, but. Something in Pyrrhus knew that man.

Was this his fault? Because of the Crown? Because Tyndareus had died surrounded by Chaos, his starseed had called to it in his new life?

He wanted to storm over, to demand to know the familiar stranger’s name, to confirm for himself whether or not it was Tyndareus, reborn and stolen away. But one of the Negaverse’s General-Sovereigns was close by, and the world was ending, and—

Pyrrhus would find him later. Get his answers when they weren’t all in danger.

Super Sailor Skoll, Senshi of the Pack
Roll: 56
Action: Saddling up next to Hati, twins fight together!

The world was ending and Skoll was running late. Clearly the fact the sky was a giant white scale did not keep animals from getting injured or needing their shots. She launched herself up the hill as fast as her super senshi strength would allow, landing with a grunt. The rush of Chaos energy had her swaying for a moment - a flash back to those damn machines after the Vanguard betrayed them to the Negaverse. She took a breath, calming her nerves, and made her way over to her twin.

Like hell she was going to let Hati try to do this on his own. She gave him a nod and grin. "Ready to punch a giant space snake trying to eat us, Hati?" she asked him, bouncing a little as she warmed up. Not that the run here didn't warm her up, but look, she was full of anxious energy and needed to move.

She did snatch the bag out of the air, because hell yeah Almadel coming in with the Hunger Game's esk sponsor gifts. That wasn't a sign at all.

DMC Super Hydrus, Senshi of Leviathans
Roll: 55
Action: Grabbing the bag and really hoping this space leviathan doesn't do anything water related cause man. Also nodding at the other DMCs, look at how they all gather together

His fellow Dark Mirrors gathered around Remarque. The Dark Mirror might have it's troubles and issues, but when it came down to it, they rallied around their Prince and each other. It was a comradery he'd never had among the White Moon. Even when he took time off and stepped away from the Court, he still ended up answering the call when Mirrorspace needed him. When his Prince needed him.

It was an odd thing, this sense of duty he felt for his court and Remarque. He didn't think he'd have this after his sister pulled away from the Court. Yet, he was here beyond just because she'd brought him into the fold in the first place. No, he genuinely cared about the Dark Mirrors and his fellow senshi. He didn't want to leave them to fight his alone.

Even if he was not exactly thrilled that this was happening at all.

He plucked the bag out of the air and continued to wait.

Corporal Neryn

They looked at the contents of the bag and frowned a little. A little pin, a berry and a bracelet... An interesting collection of items. Their fingers brushed against the bracelet and something calmed in their chest. Neryn slipped it over their hand to settle on their wrist and turned their eyes to the sky above.

"I've tested the range on my boltcaster, and it's quite far, but it is something like thousands of miles to the upper atmosphere. Gravity would bring the bolts down, even being energy, before it reached it," they said, doing some mental math and settling the bag into their uniform. They let out a breath.

"I'd say, if we get the chance to meet him half way, we take it. Otherwise, if the creature sends some sort of advanced force here to try to make a foothold, we focus on them."

Even with the bracelet trying to keep the anxiety at bay, a cold fear settled into Neryn's chest and they shifted in place.

Action: With Ashanite & Co

She was here because Ashanite was here, and something in her brain always seemed to just. Know when her General reemerged into the world. This time she was not any stronger than she had been during the mission with the Vanguardians; she had no real excuse but she hadn't been idle. Just quiet. Listening, watching. Waiting.

Waiting for what, she'd not quite figured that out yet. This however, was not it. A world eating serpent. Good grief. Who woke this thing up, and how could they get it to go back to sleep?

"General," she said by way of greeting as she gathered with the rest of the group. "General Soveriegn." Leifite greeted Jet next, and gave nods to the others of the group. A bag popped into existence and she followed Ashanite's actions, putting on the bracelet and pin.

Then, like the good little agent she was, she stood at attention and waited for instruction.

Laeradr snatched the bag as it dropped in front of him and put the items on without thinking too much about it, shoving the berry and bag into subspace. He tried to make his way around the crowd, to find someone he knew but ended up physically bumping into someone a little too hard not to acknowledge.

"Hey, sorry, I—hello nurse," he said, also without thinking about, only to immediately gag on his own words. "Oh, now I'm really, really sorry, that sort of just, slipped out? You're, um, gorgeous, and now is really not the time for my brain to be whack at the world's end, but uh, hi?"

Almere, Squire of Lysithea
Action: Daydreaming, mostly
Roll: 12

Almere could have spent hours just looking at the outfits of the people around her, making up stories to go with them, kind of imagining what their worlds and Wonders might be like. Spasskaya, for example, her hat made Almere think that she could have been a detective in some kind of steampunk city. What kind of mystery would it be, though? The case of the missing teapot?

Or the missing jewlery, maybe. Tikal looked like she might have been the one to come into the detective's office, all in a huff, because someone had stolen her priceless pearls.

And then maybe by the end of the story the two of them would fall in love?

Maybe she shouldn't have been thinking those things as the pressure shifted and the lightning seemed to stop, but she couldn't help herself, even now. As the bag appeared in front of her, and she dug into it and found jewlery, she also found a name.

Almadel. Was that the mysterious and dashing thief?

No. She had to focus. She was in the knight story right now, not the detective one.

"We've got this," she said, patting Mechelen's shoulder and then nodding at all the others, a little solemnly, like a knight should. "We'll watch each other's back and we'll find victory."

She raised her spoon in her other hand. "For Earth, and the light of the stars."

Heliodor, Corrupt Eternal Senshi of Ryuuto
Action: Chatting with the team, putting on the pin and bracelet, confirming he’s going to go up there to kill or imprison the electric invader.

He merely brushed Faustite’s fingers with his own, grasping for a few short moments to squeeze gently before retreating. Helio knew keeping those fingers bound was as much as silencing the General King, but his need to touch was too much to ignore.

Faustites suggestion and movement to remove any bits of metal was a sound one, and Heliodor responsively looked down at himself, but his Fuku was clear of any metal that would be a conductor. Only small bits and baubles dangled from his sleeves and waist. “I think my magic may be more of the issue.” He rumbled out in thought. If people stay as clustered as they were here, he was going to have some issues with making sure friendly fire didn’t get caught up in his water magic. Bad enough getting hit by it, but to also soak someone when dealing with an electric creature? That was a recipe for disaster. Of course, if friendly fire happened to be someone from order, well….Heliodor wouldn’t be too upset about it.

His attention pulled to Fafnir at his brothers cool, smooth tone. Helio smiled and nodded. At least Mom wasn’t here to witness this. She was, by and far, as safe as she could be for the time being. “Good. I’d hate to have her anywhere near this.”

Albite’s insinuations had golden eyes rolling, but a small smile slipped across the corrupts face none-the-less. Leave it to Albite to remain his constant self in a dire situation. “How about we worry about what else can be removed until we deal with our uninvited guest, hm?” His attention shifted back to Faustite as he continued”But I agree, I am sure we can shield you, but…” His head tilted. “Knowing you, you won’t have it.”

Speaking of Headache, that was the first time Helio had given the creature his attention. His gaze flicked to the creature mentioned and his body stilled at the sight. It was a shock on all grounds and Helio’s breath caught for a moment. A jump scare, for sure. The last damn thing he had expected was to see Schorl’s hazel eyes staring back at them. A shiver ran through his body and he tore his gaze away. ******** that god damn creature. Squiddy would have never done such an atrocity (ignoring the fact that squiddy didn’t shape like headache of course).

The sky seemed to roll at that point, and the purple-haired man’s gaze was pulled away from the nightmare-inducing sight of Headache to the clouds above.

The world seemed to shift and pull. The air was heavy with an all too familiar feeling. Were they all about to be sucked back up to the prison?

Once again movement from the sky caught Helio’s attention as small bags began dropping down like gifts from heaven. He squinted at the objects, reaching a hand out to grab one. The small note attached to it was curious and obviously from Almadel. Helio seethed a bit, but opened the bag none-the-less. Jealousy aside, Almadel had shown some capability when it came to magical items, and Helio wasn’t about to shun a possible powerful gift because of his jealousy. At least, not in this instance. Tipping the bag over into his palm three objects fell into his grasp and the corrupt glanced around. Others were donning the objects including Faustite, which was no real shocker to Heliodor considering the boys interest in the alien. With a sigh, the bracelet that was compelling him to put it on was slipped onto his wrist and the beautiful pin was secured onto the black under layer of his fuku. The berry he tucked into his fuku for safe keeping after remembering how difficult it was to access sub-space.

With that memory he turned to the team to address them after Faustite. “Anyone intending to go, don’t tuck anything you might immediately need into sub-space. When we last encountered this creature many struggled to access their sub-space as a whole. There’s a chance we will encounter the same issue. Same with weapons.” He looked at Faustite and Albite and nodded.

It was a given that he was going and a few others made themselves clear. Hestia being he foremost one as she held that spike with reverance. A good choice to keep the item safe.

The touch and tug to his elbow had Helio stepping away from his boys as he turned his full attention to Fafnir. His brother was…well, he was being his usual self. Over-protective and demanding of Helio. It was an old song and dance between them. Something familiar that normally would have raised Helio’s hackles but in this instance had the young man smiling, and resting a hand on his brother’s upper arm. “I can’t just stay here. I’ve already encountered this thing once up in that prison and I might be able to help if I am up there again. We need to do everything we can to win cause if we don’t win, me being down here won’t matter.”

He then pulled Fafnir towards him and embraced the other corrupt. ”We’re going to win and come back. I’ve got to believe that.” He whispered into the man’s ear before finally breaking the embrace. He held Fafnir at arms length, a hand on each of the man’s shoulders. “I hope you’re ok with that, cause I don’t want to make you angry at me. But, I can’t stay here where all I’ll do is worry myself into an early grave.” He dropped his hands and sighed. ”Besides, I’ve got to prove I am actually capable and not a complete ******** up. I’ve been slacking far too much lately.” And who, in the team, would dare follow someone like that? No it was better this way. It wasn’t like anyone would miss Cassian anyway with him being such a new identity. Well, no one beyond the people who were here with him.

Deep Space Super Sailor Madriu
Action: With Arcalis, equipping his shiny gifts!

There were many familiar faces on the battlefield. That bolstered Madriu’s heart, to see so many here willing to struggle against impossible odds to protect their home. Perhaps, all things considered, this was exactly where the Senshi of Struggle and Adversity belonged—facing down one of the greatest foes to lurk in the cosmos.

He brought Arcalis’s hand up to his lips to kiss his knuckles, nodding firmly. Side by side, as they ought to be.

He let his gaze follow Arcalis’s to find the little group around Grieve, and chuckled, low. “Oh, I’m sure she’ll find some sort of solution for him. And it will be very funny.” Grieve at least could always be counted on to be herself, and that poor little Lieutenant was going to be subject to all of it.

He couldn’t exactly find it in him to feel all that bad about it. Whoever that was had chosen Chaos, and that was simply not an acceptable life choice, and dealing with Grieve was a fair and reasonable consequence.

Still, when the wind whipped up, Madriu tugged Arcalis closer; the little blue bag was caught and held, and he exhaled.

“I know this Almadel,” he said, “sort of. He’s a collector. Has a museum. We helped him with a kosopod infection last summer. Worth trusting, at least this far.” So the bracelet and pin went on, and he hoped. That whatever they had done would be enough. That they would turn this beast from Earth, and save this little corner of the universe.

Dark Mirror Sailor Telesto, Senshi of Pressure

Telesto's appearance on the hill had come in relative quiet, which was out of place for the usually boisterous and eccentric senshi. The storm growing around the city had taken them time to engage with, as the initial bursts of pressure from the storm front were at conflict with their own internal pressure and magics. It had taken time, to both transform and make their way here, but they had finally managed to arrive within the madness gathering around.

Still, they were relatively young to this time and world, and they knew it would go better if allies were there to guide them. Thankfully, it wasn't hard to find the others of the Court, as the Prince was surrounded by the other comrades. Rushing over, while snatching the suddenly appearing bag out of the air, Telesto makes way to the other dark mirrors.

"This encounter seems more pleasant at least since the pressure reduced, which I recognize the irony in saying... Do we know who this Almadel is? I do not recognize the name, but the distribution of trinks seems..." They look at the bracelet over their wrist, idly fiddling with the teardrop silver that coincidentally matched the one upon their tiara, "Potent, to say the least."

"And I have concerns if such a powerful being is giving us well wishes but not appearing themselves. What exactly is coming then?"

It was always a battle or war with Telesto, though this time they may have been right.

General-King Faustite
Action: Talking. Asking Albite to text the other GSes. Guessing about Almadel's sack.

Faustite caught Hestia's bow, then looked askance at Headache. The creature, still wearing a most hated General's face, stepped back once again and vanished in the flash of a portal. Undoubtedly, it was returning to the Rift. It must have given up the spike knowing that Faustite was too busy talking with his hands to take it back.

So he looked back at Hestia, who took the pseudo-baton as seriously as possible. Not wanting to disappoint her, he signed a quick instruction. Hold onto that for now. No one knew what was coming, but it seemed the better choice to leave it in the grasp of someone a little less metallic for the moment. He could always retrieve it from her later.

Of course you're staying, he signed to Albite. You always pick the most suicidal option possible. Where would you rather be than skirting death? Mizuki's your twin in that regard.

But the appreciation was there — in his gaze, in the way his shoulders relaxed with a margin of relief for every confirmation from every team member that they were sticking around. There was no guarantee of survival, no matter the choice given to them; that they chose to take that chance as part of the team and fight for the Negaverse's benefit was terribly heartening. It was what left him feeling as though he could trust his team above all else — even if he was trusting them to be faithfully themselves.

Cryolite was scampering away, but Faustite hadn't the inclination to spy after him like such a small action was going to matter. Let him flit about as he wants. He'd be back with a thought. Mirabilite, Tincalconite, Borax all remained. Litharge and Mizuki. Magnus, though he looked to be kidnapped by that lazy piece of s**t that Faustite had dragged to the Tower of Portunus. Borax followed suit with ditching his metal. A man of few words for the moment, he made his decision with a nod.

Then there was Ilmari, looking after his husband the way he should have been. Angling for a positive outlook. However, he had a practical question that came up just as quickly.

The tag said 'strength, health, and a safe path forward.' Assuming strength refers to the diamond pin. Health is likely the purple thing. Guessing 'safe path forward' means the bracelet. Know it's poor form to go with hunches, but there's no more answers from here. Everything Almadel has given me has done exactly as he said it would. I've no reason to assume otherwise now.

The brothers were having their moment, too. He couldn't hear what Fafnir was saying, so he turned his attention back to Albite. Call the other General Sovereigns for me. Headache ******** off back to the Rift, and I hate trying to figure that s**t out. Let them know that we might get an opportunity to meet the Calamitous Hollow off-world, but that opportunity could well be a one-way trip.

There's already five of us here as representatives of Laurelite. But that doesn't mean that they want to drag their direct reports down the same path.

His attention perked when Heliodor spoke up. The boy had a point — they didn't know if magic, weapons, or subspace would resist them again. What was to say otherwise? Thankfully, Faustite still had his weapon out, secured at his hip. While the rest of him was a walking lightning rod with his grate, the shotel's glass should resist lightning well enough. He hoped.

If any of us don't make it though, he added, it's been a damn fine honor to work with all of you.

Super Sailor Lionel
Action: Greeting Laer and accepting Almadel's bag

It took Lionel a moment, but he realized that he knew the man in front of him. Maybe it wasn’t surprising, given that they’d only run into each other once when things were messy and also tension was high right then, but it was sort of funny to him to not be recognized. And also to apparently be so distractingly hot that he elicited a hello nurse at the end of the ******** world.

Good for a man’s ego, that.

“Hey. Laeradr, right? We got hot chocolate together around Halloween,” he said. “I’m Lionel.” He grinned, wryly. “And you’re looking pretty good yourself, given the situation. Got a nice powerup and everything.” Lionel hadn’t, but that was fine. He was still getting used to being someone new, away from the Negaverse. If it took him a little while to get his wings, it took him a little while to get his wings.

It was messy, sure. But at least now they both weren’t alone.

Even if the shift in the wind made Lionel wince. He reached out to catch the falling pouch, and frowned. Almadel…Almadel…

“Hey, do you know this name? I feel like I might, but I’m not sure.” Something lost in his corruption? Or just to the haze of Negaverse Depression? Either seemed fully possible. Or maybe he’d just heard it somewhere, from someone. Hard to say.
