Dzhalindite smiled. She liked him more than she thought she would. She was a spoiled brat, and she knew that,t but she often expected others to be as well, and Melpomene clearly wasn't like that. She was lower rank than him and a different faction, but he didn't seem like he was going to treat her like cannon fodder. She laughed and shook her head. "Clearly, he cares for you very much, so perhaps logic doesn't factor into making sure you are safe, and if worse comes to worst, one of the team can help you if you do get hurt. He cares for all of us it would seem the message said for anyone who feels they can't handle this to run, I will not." She said proudly. "I'm new, but I still have the strength of a Lt., and I will use it." She tossed her curls in a dismissive way. She wasn't a coward. She looked at the items as well. She nodded "Yes, I agree the bracelet and pin I'm putting on, but the fruit,t I think you are right; better to wait."
She looked around for the other team members who were supposed to keep an eye on him as well. She wondered if the rest of the team would come to fight in this battle. She turned back to Melpomene. "So you are a dark mirror? What's that like?" She asked, curious.
Page 1 Trying not to get blown away by the wind. Scanning the gift bag with his ComTech. Near Lyndin and the others around him.
The sky was falling. And with it, Aliez felt his heart fall into his stomach with increasing trepidation.
He gasped when the wind picked up, and instinctively, he reached to grab hold of Vyn while looking for Andreiya. He was close enough that he grabbed onto Andreiya’s arm as well, and then pulled both of his friends closer to the Commodore. Even though he didn’t have another arm to grab onto the Commodore himself, he was confident that Lyndin would not allow them to be swept away by the storm.
Lyndin said he couldn’t recall seeing anything like this before, and to observe what they could while it was there, so although Aliez backed up to huddle closer together near Lyndin, he continued to stare up at the sky. At least while he could keep his eyes open against the wind to do so.
The appearance of the blue velvet bag startled Aliez once more, and only when he was certain the others wouldn’t get blown away if he released them, he held out his hand to catch the small gift.
With his other hand, he scanned the bag and its contents with his ComTech, finding himself a bit skeptical of sudden items that appear out of thin air.
“Have you had any dealings with Almadel before, Commodore? Can he be trusted?” Aliez asked, looking from Vyn and the others around them with concern, before looking up at Lyndin once more.
As lighting spread, Strengite nerviously fiddled with her dagger handles. She had heard the comm's call earlier about being aware of just how much metal you had on you, for her the daggers were the most substantial amount. She just hoped that the crowd would help limit her chances of being struck.
The captain eyed the clouds and braced against the wind when it seemed like all hell broke loose. The wall of gray started to bubble and then just fall into a sheet. It was getting real and even as she felt like her feet were starting to skid against the ground a little bag appeared in front of her... in front of everyone there. Strengite snatched at it, barely looking at the note on it and ripped it open, eyeing it's contents for anything that could be useful for the imminent fight.
Wade was glad that his folks had no idea what was going down. They were home, just expecting yet another storm, even as he stood there watching as the clouds began to wreath in anger. There was a flicker of something in them. Something large. Something dangerous.
They were in deep s**t and he knew he wasn't prepared for this crap. And yet there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. He was gritting his teeth, already having tossed his hat, and tie, into his little storage space, and faced into the wind. It was picking up and whipping around everyone. It was going to be one hell of a storm.
So it was rather surprising when a little bag appeared out of no where, hanging steading in front of him. Unconcerned with the wailing wind, just lowering slowing, second by second, until he pulled it from the air. He read over the tag and took a peak inside, frowning at the contents. Not sure how they would be useful at all.
Ellicott had gotten the notice, hell she had known about the danger. She had taken as many steps as she could to help mitigate it. Everything from providing energy on the moon to even tracking down a friendly corrupt to offer some... but no where near all. Every little bit helped in this matter and if she was going to face the end of the world she would be doing it with her head held high knowing she had done what she could.
She hadn't hesitated when the message came through, she knew what she had to do. And yet the bravo that had kept her moving blanched when faced with the storm that boiled above them. The flashes of white scales she could spot in the clouds making her heart thud in fear. They were facing the biggest danger ever. A world ending danger. Logically she had known that... but now she felt it. Felt it in her very bones.
Taking a steading breath she took the magically offered bag, only hesitating for a moment before pulling it from the air as her uniform whipped around her.
They were all in some deep, deep s**t. She just hoped the bag's contents would help.

Mara continued to watch the crowd around them, only to turn her gaze skywards as the lighting really started to spread even as the clouds bubbled and burst. A waterfall of cloud falling. A sheet. The corrupt swallowed nervously, absently glad she had braded back her hair as the wind picked up viciously.
"Beni?" She asked, not taking her eyes off of the sky. Her cousin had to know what was happening. He knew everything about this whole nonsense. He just had to... right?
Rather juxtaposition to the rising terror in her was the strange little blue bag that just appeared in front of her. Mara stared at it, noting that the velvet pouch showed up for everyone there, and watched as it hung in the air undisturbed by the very wind that was trying to send her flying. She plucked it from the air as it descended in front of her. She opened it, doing her best to sill her shaking hands. What ever was in it had to be better then her messed up magic. Just about anything was better then her twisted magic.
Eternal Sailor Hugbell Transcendent Senshi of Comfort: Journal Action: By herself inspecting the blue pouch.
Hugbell watched the sky frowning heavily as what she could only assume to be the serpent was over head, when a little bag with items in it dropped in front of her. She inspected the contents and slipped the bracelet onto her arm and pinning the pin on her collar. Wondering what the berry was for and who Almadel was.

This group of Lysithea knights would do for keeping close to other people, Tikal decided, and she gave them a nod of acknowledgement as she approached. There was also a Ganymede knight there, and he got a nod and a small wave. She was woefully underprepared to meet other Ganymede knights. Because of her work, Tikal had not powered up in quite a while. Any knights she had met at other events had likely been long forgotten by now.
Regrettably.
"My name is Tikal," she offered, reaching for the little parcel near her head.
He really wasn't sure where to go with everything. It wasn't like he was close with a lot of people--oops…--so that limited where he felt comfortable trying to migrate to. Though, the whole strength in numbers was sort of extra highlighted to him in this situation, especially given the whole… end of the world storm, and the massive Negaverse energies extremely close by.
It was all the more lucky, then, that he spotted another pair of knights not far off--extra bonus, no extra cost? He could see the stars on their uniforms, could see the pastel colors… they were Cosmos knights. Their auras felt a bit stronger than his, and he was all the more grateful for it. With a bit of a relieved smile, he trotted towards them, lifting his arm a bit to wave as he approached.
"Hey," he greeted once he was close enough to not have to shout or anything. "I'm Yetzirah… would you be comfortable with me hanging around with you two? Sorry, I'm not very used to fights or anything, especially not like this." Though… was anyone..?
Before him, a spark of glitter poofed into the air, and he jumped in surprise before catching the small bag. "Oh! That's... uh. Interesting. I guess we've got a uh... benefactor..?"

Valhalla didn’t want to think about what was going to happen after the fight to save the world. There were a lot of factors involved, but surely they wouldn’t be there now if the Negaverse thought they could handle it on their own, right? After all that time, all the effort of those in the Negaverse seeking out information from them... when they were the only ones able to get to the Moon, or get to other Worlds. It seemed foolish.
“The Negaverse knows there’s more than one of these things, right? For all their talk about wanting to save Earth, wanting to get rid of anyone who could help them defend it seems… ah, ‘cutting off their nose to spite their face.’”
He supposed it would depend on how easy it would be for the Negaverse to get rid of this serpent, but he somehow doubted that would be the case.
As the winds picked up, he carefully wrapped an arm around Ganymede, keeping her from getting blown away. The gift bag was a surprise. He caught his too, and once Ganymede had her bracelet on, he held out his to her to help get it on his wrist as well.

Oberon braced himself against the wind, but looked up into the sky as it fell down on them. He could see the white scale, could feel the prickle of lightning. It was as though an irritating pulse was agitating his scars under his gloves.
The moment it appeared, he snatched the blue velvet bag from the air and tugged open the gold cord. He inspected the items with some skepticism, but attached the purple diamond pin to his collar, and slid the bracelet securely over his wrist. The berry was set aside in his subspace for the time being, but based on Almadel’s note, he had a feeling that it would come in handy if anything were to happen.
“Let’s hope we don’t beat it too easily,” he grumbled, mostly to himself. Maybe-- maybe, if the Negaverse saw that they were useful, they would think twice about trying to kill them once it was all over.
Yddagen, Vanguard Cadet Standing near Lysvi and Neryn, near the periphery of the other vanguard
Lysvi got a snort and friendly roll of the eyes. Neryn got a nod and what was, Yddagen hoped, a passable attempt at a smile. It was hard to smile with the wind kicking up, with more of that strange not-lightning bleeding down from the sky, with the flashes of scales he swore he could see beyond the clouds. His hair needed a trim, whipping into his eyes much to his distaste. The gifts from the sky were accepted readily enough, even though he viewed the berry with some suspicion. The wearables were one thing. Something he would likely be expected to consume?
That was another.
His fingers traced the details of the bracelet, however, something about it settling his nerves and making it easier to stand and watch the calamity in the sky growing closer. He couldn't shake the feeling that they should be able to meet it halfway, bring the fight to it, but how? They had naught for ships that could carry this many people. Moreover, he wasn't sure how wise it would be to put all of Earth's defenses on a ship that could be electrocuted or swatted out of the sky and into the cold ground below.
But what to do about it? "Do you think we have the range to reach it before it reaches us?" The clouds were low, so low. Maybe, just maybe, they could.
"I know. I don't plan on inviting any of them to the house for brunch." He offered a lighthearted, if thin, smile. "Like Elliott said, we can get out of here if it turns out that they'd rather turn on us." He remembered when the aliens had first arrived. He remembered how quickly that had turned. He was not willing to rule out something happening again. Maybe the Negaverse would find a way to leash the snake and turn it on everyone else?
The thought made him shudder, and he patted her arm to try and distract himself from it. Speaking of distractions…He reached up with his free hand and grabbed for one of the little blue bags. "What's this, now?"
Page 1Page 8 Putting on his pin and bracelet. Making sure anyone skeptical about doing so knows it should be safe.
“Very generous of Almadel,” Jet almost laughed as he held out his hand for the velvet bag, taking note of the message and sender. He was glad he’d left his cape back at the castle, otherwise the wind would surely be enough of a hindrance to make him take it off.
It was difficult to ignore how the sky seemed to be falling down on them, but if this was the end, then there was no point in panicking. They would have to take everything thrown at them in stride.
The pin joined the others on his chest, the berry was stored away, and the bracelet placed on his wrist.
“You don’t think I can hold my alcohol?” he cast an amused glance at Seraphinite. Maybe it would have been easy to get him drunk when he was young, but he’d grown since then. He was no longer the awkward teenager running around with too much ambition and hope for the future. Now, there was still hope, but his ambition had shifted to seeing others around him grow.
He took a step closer to Aquamarine and held out his hand in clear offer to assist with getting his pin in place, making note of all those around them as he did so.
They were going to face whatever came at them head on. And he would make sure they were all recognized for their efforts.
“Almadel might be a neutral party in all this, but he doesn’t give away things easily. We’re doing him a favor and this is our payment. Earth is more beneficial to him as it is now,” he said reassuringly to Spectrolite, making sure that she and Rigel were putting on their new items.
“You too,” he added to Seraphinite. The others around him got a confirming nod to go ahead and put on the pin and bracelet.
"Either we die here or his mother takes us out." Encke easily took his particular parcel from the air and started opening it. "I'm dying tonight either way. Maybe it'll be permanent this-" his voice cut as he noticed Basiluzzo try, and fail, to grab the bag intended for Viatrix too. Don't laugh was met with sputters.
Viatrix, for her part, outright laughed.
"I could've gotten it!" Viatrix took hers, easily. "I've got hands! And also wouldn't have ended up a pretty sparkly princess."
Encke managed, between snickers, "Do you feel bonita? Because you look bonita."
Viatrix happily put the bracelet on even if she had no idea what it would do. "Do you think Almadel summoned us here?" Her response was peppered with more snickers. "He's the only one I've met so far who can get all of our attentions like this-"
Corporal Cypher, Vanguard Corporal Roll: 44 Action: Watching the sky considering Aliez's question and waiting for Lyndin's assessment of Almadel's gift.
The wind picked up causing his hair to whip around his face wildly.
Several members of the vanguard huddled together. Nessaelia stood close to Tenoch while Aeliz grabbed hold of both Vyn and Andreiya, pulling the two of them close. Cypher, however, remained rooted where he stood.
Using one hand as a shield for his face, he looked up at the looming layer of clouds and for a fraction of a moment it looked like something moved above it, pushing the Asperitas clouds down like a blanket atop a bed. The blood ran like ice in his veins when he saw what looked to be a flash of white scales.
For all the building he had done on his training ground, nothing he had in place could have prepared him, or anyone, to fight against something of this size. He looked down at the rifle in his other hand and had to wonder if it had the capacity to harm such a creature.
But then a bag made of soft fabric appeared before each of them and a question from Commander Aliez broke his own thoughts. Can Almadel be trusted… Though the question was not asked of him, he considered his own encounters with the mysterious merchant.
I know not what motivates him, but I do trust he is a neutral party and has his own interests in mind. Should we succeed, surely he will want something as form of repayment to add to his museum. That wasn’t to say that he was untrustworthy but a reason to accept his aid with cautionary consideration. From the rare encounters Cypher had with Almadel, he bartered and traded, nothing was free.
Hekate was just about to introduce herself and explain her magic when a sharp wind suddenly tore through the clearing. Completely unprepared, she let out a startled yelp as she stumbled sideways and fell onto the grassy ground in an unceremonious heap.
A flush of pink crept up her cheeks as she hurried to pull her hood further over her face to hide the embarrassment. Her gaze remained fixed on the ground, anywhere but on the others, so she missed the burst of colorful glitter that appeared. However, she did feel the weight of something soft settle against her leg.
Blinking in surprise, Hekate reached for the small velvet pouch, a deep blue with a golden cord. Curiosity overcame her embarrassment as she tugged it open to find a tiny pin with a purple diamond, a round purple berry roughly the size of a cherry tomato, and a bracelet that seemed to hum with energy.
The silver bracelet was unassuming at first glance, safe for a droplet-shaped gemstone that shimmered with a strange silvery light. But as she tilted it, Hekate noticed a white mist swirling inside it like a wisp of clouds. Strange and familiar in a way she couldn’t quite explain. Carefully she slipped it over her hand where it settled against one of the silver bracelets she already wore.
