Naosu A cute little bat plushie! Naosu happily picked it up and then promptly tucked it into her bra when her new familiars started showing a bit too much interest in it. She didn't want it to get ruined, especially when her son would probably love it.
Aurora Aurora was really not sure what to think of the potion she'd been handed. It was pretty at least, but she wasn't sure she was going to drink it.
Gemini Oh, a cute little bat! Gemini gladly scooped one up to claim for their own. Mostly though they were just glad to finally be out of the fortune teller's tent. They felt like they'd been in there for days!
Tinú smiled as he entered the hall full of strangers. He adjusted his silver filigree mask before entering the fray. It was crowded, but pleasantly so, and very exciting. Perhaps he’d finally meet his Prince Charming today, a lovely prospect for him to think about. Some tentacles brushed against his shoulder, looking up he spotted an orange Aetherjelly. He smiled sweetly at it and gave it a soft pat. “Hello.”

You bump - literally! - into someone who smells like cotton candy and looks a little bit familiar. They turn, wink at you, and disappear into the crowd. Whoa.
Sylkie barged into the hall in a storm of energy, grinning from ear to ear like a cat that finally nabbed a birdie. Charm oozed off her as she started to say hi to anyone and everyone in her path. Swirling around to look at everything all at once Sylkie dizzily bumps into someone. A turn of their head, a casual wink in her direction along with a brief hint of cotton candy scent and then they’re gone again. They looked familiar to her, but Sylkie can’t figure out from where. She shrugs her shoulders and moves deeper into the crowd.
“It is nothing that you did, Eirian. It is just hitting a bit heavy that I just can do something different. And well, not have others judge me.” She smiled and scratched the familiar, relaxing a bit. “I think I just wanted to say it out loud to someone. See how far I’m going, how much of a rebel I am and no one can see.”
“Could be, I think this is just a bit off an odd party truly.” So many creatures underfoot and the random potions though the plushies were adorable. “But I guess I can’t complain. I been getting a lot of cute plushes for my dorm. Ooh, what dorm are you in? Perhaps we could… see each other sometime during class?”
Nora finished chatting with her friends and turned to head back to the dance floor when she ran smack into someone. "OH GOSH! I'm so sorry!" She apologized and blushed. The person waved it off and left.
"Don't you know? It's just my magnetic personality." He joked. "You know, it's a shame familiars don't have jobs... We could start charging them rent." He paused a moment as he was handed a bottle of colorful liquid. "...It's warm." He commented, then started laughing. "Are you having fun? Meet any nice people?"
No sooner had he gotten the little flitterat settled that he was nearly tripped up by a pumpka that was rolling and bouncing near the snack table. It bounced off Gallius's tail and rolled into a table leg. Gallius stared at it a moment then laughed. "I feel like I have a kick me sign on my back... only it's for familiars to follow me home!" He wasn't complaining. This was amusing.
His head still reeling from what the fortune teller said, but he was snapped out of his thoughts by a very loud, panicked shriek of terror. Vega jumped and stared as a vespercat raced by, shrieking like a banshee. WELL NOW! That got his heart going!
Laurentia was starting to feel like she was being followed. She saw the young nightmare in the super obvious suit again. She gave them a dubious look when she was handed a bottle of rainbow liquid.
Miwako was having a good time. She had lost sight of Kiri, but she was trying to make herself talk to others. She was waiting around when someone approached her. She'd seen them before, hadn't she? Yes, yes she had. Their suit was recognizable. She was about to say hello when they simple handed her a potion bottle and left.
Vera nudged Morana. "Not now Vera." the shade hybrid tried to keep her tail under control. It wasn't working. She was nudged again. "Hey, I said not n-EEEK!" She was cut off as a nezubat swooped at her head and stole her mask. "That... that thing just.... Vera did you just see that?" The bat swooped down again and dropped the bask before perching on Vera's snoot. "No don't eat it Vera!" This might have been getting out of hand...
Sesha retreated outside. He was part naiad, and sometimes he just needed a fountain to cool off. He slithered into the shallows of the fountain, wetting down his scales and cupping some water into his hands to moisten his arms as well. He wasn't alone though. There was a nezubat lapping up a little water as well. Sesha smiled before it flew off.
Nora: 19 If you have a Rainbow Potion: You decide to drink the potion. For the next 2 days (irl), your character is filled with a surprising amount of energy - like they just drank thirteen cups of coffee. When they come down from the high, they won't crash.
Nora was pretty thirsty. She wandered to the refreshment table, setting down her current load of treasure, she reached for a drink. She took a sip before setting it down to talk to someone. When she went to grab her drink again, she mistakenly grabbed one of her potions and took a swig. WOW! That was an energy jolt!
Nicolae was about to say something more to Arthur when a nezubat landed in his hair. He flailed a moment and shook the pesky thing away. There was a reason he didn't have nezubats of his own.
Gallius: 20 You feel the urge to ask a stranger to dance. Find someone who is not currently interacting with someone else and ask them for a waltz!

Sylkie bounces over to a table full of spooky plushies. The person at the table points to a sign that says “Free!”. “Oh thank you so much!” Sylkie says before grabbing the one that draws her attention the most, then wanders deeper into the crowd to explore more. Who knows what else she’ll discover.

Well, he had lost sight of Leto. That was a shame. Vega wandered over to a bench to sit down, but found himself sitting on something soft and lumpy. He pulled the plush off the seat and looked at it and smiled faintly. "You look like you lost the person you were with too."
She really had accumulated a lot of stuff! Lau had a small pile going with the plushies and potions she had gotten... and it looked as though a junior was trying to give her another. She had to decline though. She had too much stuff already! How would she get it all home? She couldn't ask Obi to carry it all... and where would she put it?! She wasn't going to completely overtake Oberon's room... yet.
There were potions and plushies everywhere. Add in all the familiars, and Miwako was wondering how anyone was able to dance like this! Someone tried handing her a large flitterat plush, but she had to decline.
"Vera, have you ever seen anything so cute?" Morana was talking about the bad, having gotten it to leave her tail's snout. Her tail rolled her mouth back, and let out what could be described as a sigh. If Morana didn't know better, she would have said that her tail rolled it's eyes at her... if it had eyes. But as she looked around, she was handed an ADORABLE little plushie. "OH MY NINE! This is so adorable!"
There were a ton of familiars around here. It should come as no surprise that some of them were startled by the dancers, masks, costumes, dresses, and other familiars. One such familiar raced past Sesha, shrieking like a freshling at a horror movie. He wasn't able to calm it down and it ran off.

Nora was SO PUMPED UP RIGHT NOW! She needed to BOOGY! She ran out to the dance floor, totally ignoring the other nightmare that tried to get her to take a plushie. NO TIME FOR PLUSHIES! TIME FOR DANCING! "EeEeEeEeEeEeEEEEEEEeeeeee!"
Someone must have thought he looked thirsty, because no sooner had the young nightmare handed him a potion bottle, but the kid turned around and handed him another! What were these even? He looked at the bottle suspiciously.
Gallius ducked away to a darker part of the ballroom. There were so many familiars, and he was afraid of his tail being stepped on again. That hurt last time. He was inspecting the end of his tail when someone handed him a drink and walked off. ...Eeew, it was warm. He decided not to drink it right now...
Eirian beamed at Sally. "I think it's always a good thing to try new things. You might discover something you're good at. If you only do what's expected... Life can be boring." Eirian spoke with confidence, fully feeling the energy of the night. Masks really made it easy to speak bold. Not that Eirian wasn't usually optimisitc, but they hadn't exactly been themeselves as of late.
"The plushies are worth all the commotion," Eirian agreed with a chuckle. "I'm in..." They paused. Eirian had forgotten for a moment there. The night has been fun and they forgot. Before last year Eirian would have loved to see Sally outside of this, to be able to hang with her without masks. But ever since...
Gack, no.
Eirian had to take a breath. It wasn't up to Eirian to decide how Sally would react. They should give everyone a chance first. "Sorry. I'm in Arkham. I was hoping to do fashion."

Arthur let out a hearty laugh at Nicolae's retort. "It's tempting to charge them something. Maybe we could train them and earn extra by showing off their special skills?" Arthur rubbed his chin in thought. He casually watched the junior hand Nicolae a bottle without comment. He finally exited his reverie when his roommate address him directly. "Other than familiars? No. I think most of the kids have been avoiding me. I may be giving off the air of 'professor' too much to hide it with a mask. Otherwise I think this ball is lacking others in our demographic." There was a good chance, however, that Arthur wasn't really able to tell a difference between student and graduate.
Yaruka wandered around looking for that familiar face she thought she had seen before. It was nice being here, don't get her wrong, but she was lonely and wanted to talk to someone. The gathering of familiars around her were good company and kept her from abandoning the social event entirely as she might normally have by now. She smiled warmly down at the gathering around her and no sooner had she looked back up then she stopped in her tracks as a sweet-colored aetherjelly was hovering right in front of her. "Oh! Goodness, you startled me, you silly thing!" Yaruka began wondering if there was something about her that was drawing familiars to her. --------------------------------------------------------- Sidney was loving this ball! It was absolutely filled with photo opportunities and wonderful shots that they could bring to whoever wanted to make a story or memory about the ball. So may strange and comical and adorable events were happening and Sidney wasn't immune to it all; there was a table filled with the cutest little nezubat plushies! The litch just couldn't resist having one. --------------------------------------------------------- Mala was making her way to the refreshments when something very odd happened; she was tapped upon the shoulder and before she could turn to look, someone was whispering.....something....into her ear. She couldn't make it out and when she finally did turn, whoever it was was gone! What in the world? That was when she spotted a familiar set of scales......was that Gallius? --------------------------------------------------------- Parties weren't usually Avarice's thing but this seemed interesting being s masquerade and all. He didn't go fully all out for it; a simple but elegant black tux and a golden colored mask with stitched gilding was enough. It certainly looked like they'd gone all out for this event and many people were here. He hadn't even been there for five minutes when some random person tapped his shoulder and whispered something he couldn't actually hear, then disappeared. Huh....so that was weird. It was amusing, though, to see people laden with familiars and plushies by the armload for no apparent reason....one such person had caught his eye. Her dark costume wears and gathering of familiars around her made for an interesting picture; like something out of a dark fairytale. He chuckled a bit to himself at the image.
Vega sighed. He wondered if he could find Leto again... or maybe one of his other friends. Maybe he could make some new friends too. He looked at the plushie he had found, then at the nezubat. "What do you say? Ready to make more friends?" He smiled at the bat. As he stood, he felt something brush against his legs. He looked down and spotted a bright orange fennekin. "Well hello there." He smiled. "Are you going to join us in making friends?" The familiar chirped at him. Vega took that as a 'yes.'
Laurentia: 7 If you do not have a Brown Potion: You see a fortune telling tent and decide to enter it. The person inside offers you a free riding.
Lau was about to head back onto the dance floor, but caught sight of a fortune telling booth again. Were they offering free readings all night? She went to talk to the fortune teller, but decided not to get a reading.
Miwako was feeling overwhelmed. Maybe she should go back to the wall where she'd been standing before. She was jostled around in the crowd, and ran into someone. "Ah! I'm so sorry, I-" She blinked when the person just vanished into the crowd. Well... that was spooky and rude.
Morana was still obsessing over the little bat plush, much to Vera's dismay. Vera wanted to hit up the snacks. Morana sighed and gave in, wandering over to one of the tables. She fixed up a plate of food for Vera, then was distracted by a pile of cute plushies. Oh goodness. These were too cute! She wanted to show Vera, but... her tail was occupied with food.
