Amethyst Mist smiled at the junior who was giving out the plushie she had already collected one and she picked up a different one. She pushed both their tummies watching them glow before going with her pumpka familiar to put her plushies away and go to dance on the dance floor with her familiar. She looked around to see if anyone wanted to dance with a geist in a shimmery dress and mask. She still had hoped she would meet someone and turn a new page in her life. Ame had thought she was going to be with her long time boyfriend but it just hadn't happened.
Eirian watched Sally interact with the vespercat and smiled to themselves. They laughed at Sally's comments about their quickly forming plushie collections. Eirian honestly would have loved to take more but they knew these weren't just for one person. The junior had made them to be shared.
Eirian smiled from ear to ear when Sally asked them to dance. "I would love to," they said honestly. Being part fey it was in their blood to love dancing. Eirian was about to take her hand but then they remembered the glass-vialed potion they had. Unsure of what else to do with it, Eirian drank the contents and discarded the vial.
They suddenly felt really energetic. They grabbed hold of Sally's hand and excitedly guided her onto the dance floor. Eirian was trying to control what they thought was their excitement but could feel the need to move itching in their veins. They put their free hand on her hip before pausing. "You okay with this setup?" Eirian didn't know much about Sally, after all. Maybe she was used to taking the hip. Eirian had grown up with either position but was used to leading with non-feys.

IDK but I have waltz music (or slow dancing in general?) in my head for them to dance to. (Masquerades make me think waltz.) Just so you know. lol
Having gotten her plushie friend another companion she turned to cotinue her journey towards the booth. However some one grabbed her shoulder and whispered something to low to hear in her ear. Turing around she was faced with empty air. No one near by was close enough to have slipped away that fast. Hmmm maybe that was a sign she shouldn't go to the fortune teller booth yet. Well the snacks did look good, guess she would go after them instead. -------------------------------------------------------------- Having completed the stranger, trivia considered their good deed done and turned to go and get some candy apples. They were pretty sure they had seen some earlier and walking around did get tiring. However when they got close enough there were plushies on the booth instead of the apples. Well plushies were cute and Nephthys would find it adorable. Picking it up they noticed it was soft. It was also then they were approached by some one to dance. Well wouldn't hurt would it? " pleasure to meet you Juliette. I'm trivia. I would be glad to dance?" That was good manners enough, their roommate would be impressed.
Bella was somewhat startled by the sudden voice, and the fact that someone didn't find her to scarry to approach, the kind gesture of the stranger didn't go unnoticed as she smiled " thank you, you look amazing as well" she said shyly, though warm-heartedly as a fenikin peaked around from beneath her hair. this made it all the easier to chooses to stay around for the ball. especially with a new parent little friend that decided to stick with her, she welcomed the little familiar into her life.

Dara found the stranger endearing in her shyness. The sudden appearence of the fennekit both startled and delighted her. She giggled at the sight, unable to control her elation. "No problem," Dara responded, "and thank you."
"My name's Dara, by the way," she said while extending her hand. She then remembered the stranger appeared to be shy so she tried to soothe any worries that might arise. "You don't have to give me your real name, if you don't want to. I've heard plently of others are trying to stay incognito." Dara had whispered as if conspiring with her new friend.
As the kumiho took her leave, Aleanette couldn't help but be a little sad. If only for the fact that she knew how hard of a struggle it was to come out of one’s personal bubble. Still it had been nice while it lasted. When she made her way back into the hall, she spotted Syblia and waved. She ran over, stopping just short of them as a whooshing noise beside her caught her attention. A cute brown and red nezubat fluttered around her before settling on her shoulder. With a giggle, she turned her attention back to her sibling, “Hey Syb! You've made a lot of friends!” She smiled at the animals huddled around, sticking close to them. “Ooh! Is that one of those potions?”

Syblia grinned as their sister strolled up accompanied by her own small new family. “So have you!” They commented before nodding with glance at the bottle. “There's this person in a wacky yellow suit running around with them,” the hybrid chuckled before picking up the bottle. “It's pretty to look at. Kinda warm to the touch,” they held it up for further inspection. “I wonder what it does…”

Cearnaigh was quite enjoying the game he'd started with the rammykin that had taken a liking to him. At least until the smell of candy corn and a loud squawk distracted the fluffy creature. Bending to pick up the forgotten plush and put it in his pocket, a brightly coloured cockatriel bit at his hand before scurrying around behind him to let out a sound akin to a hiss at his tail as it spread its wings.

Mbizi began to feel quite bored after once again just wandering the hall, having snippets of conversation with various volunteers. He stopped at a table and propped his hands against it, leaning back as he faced the crowds beginning to group off more and more. The couples dancing seemed to be having fun, especially as the band played more and more quick paced waltzes that had dresses billowing and flaring, their wearers nearly glowing as they flowed beautifully across the floor with their partners. In a moment of supreme self confidence, he pushed himself off the table and strode into the crowd in search of another lone stranger to charm into a dance. His pink eyes landed on one such creature and with his best smile, he walked toward them. “Excuse me, I hope I'm not being too forward, but would like to dance?”
And somehow, she had ended up with a rather large Flitter rat plushie on top of the two she already owned and a vespercat. “One moment,” Sally said, and gently requested the junior to watch them for a moment so her arms were unladen for the dance. She piled them up before turning back to Eirian. “There better.”
She laughed as they were guided out to the dance floor and grinned. “No, this is fine.” She said and set a hand on their shoulder. “I like dancing but do so, so rarely it probably best you lead. Promise I won’t step on your feet.”
Frederick was back inside, but still a bit miffed. He probably should have chased the pumpka to make sure it really wasn't doing anything bad. He chewed the inside of his cheek while debating his next course of action when the kid in the yellow suit came running up again. This time Frederick was handed a brown colored potion. "Why the he--" Frederick couldn't get his words out fast enough before the junior disappeared into the crowd again.

As much as Seren loved the nezubat plushies, he knew he couldn't stay around them or else he'd take them all home. He'd find a way. Instead, he made sure to walk away from the pile with only one held in his hand. He found himself in a darker part of the ballroom so he looked up to check the lighting. Something must be up, he thought. Then Seren was face to face with a rammykin who had floated down to check out the geist. "Hello," Seren said. "Would you like to get some cake? I think there's some on the banquet table and I know I certainly could go for a slice."

Arthur was amused by Nicolae's enthusiasm. It seemed as if the cherub was having the time of his live. "Yes, I do suppose Below likes to put on a show. I think the Academy especially tries hard to make sure everyone has a wonderful time all together. They are, after all, trying to bridge the gaps between all of us."
He chuckled as Nicolae mentioned the rammykin he had gained. "Well, truth be told, I think I might have gained a few familiars myself." As if on cue the two flitterats that were using Arthur like a jungle gym popped their heads over the demon's shoulder as if to say hello. "I seem to be a bit of a savior of the flitterats... I hope we'll still have room for our beds."

Juliette let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you. I really love dancing but didn't have anyone to dance with." Juliette smiled sweetly and then moved to guide Trivia to the dance floor.
All she wanted was one dance. One dance and Juliette would let Trivia go back to whatever they were doing before. And that would be exactly what she did. The dance was nice enough, to Juliette at least, but she didn't want to force someone to do more than what they might be willing to do.
"Thank you," Juliette said again while she curtsied to Trivia after their dance.

"No need to worry, dancing is my forte. I'll make sure you look splendid." Eirian smiled and winked at Sally (this time with their right "normal" one). At the start of the next song, Eirian lead Sally into a simple waltz. They tried their best to make sure their partner would be able to feel or guess where the next step was going to be. Eirian was smiling the whole time. The fey hybrid was in their element and loving it. They laughed and tried to add in a twirl without causing Sally too much trouble. It was fun, though, to watch her hair swirl out and then back into place. Eirian had to keep themselves from doing it again and again as it would only make the poor cherub dizzy.

Dara noticed they were standing before the booth filled with the tummy-glowing plushies. "Oh, I loved these. I think I'll take another if you don't mind," Dara said to the junior behind the booth. They didn't have any problem with it at all. She hummed and hawed about her choices before picking. "This one is just too interesting to pass up."

Vega was enjoying talking to Leto, and having a good time talking about familiars. As they stood there, he overheard someone mention baby pumpka. "Oh right. Weren't you looking for a pumpka patch?"
Lau put her head against Obi's shoulder as they danced. This was nice. "We should dance more often. This is fun. We could put a little radio in the kitchen and dance some time." She mused. Stepping back, Lau twirled, keeping one hand in Obi's, the other trying to keep her cape from hitting anyone. As she spun, she ended up face to face with a large flitterat plushie. "... another one?" She sighed. "One moment, Oberon." She gave him a kiss before heading to the wall where her other plush was, and set his new one beside it. She then returned to Obi. "Now where were we?"

She had never danced like this before. The dances outside the forest were strange, but very charming. Or maybe that was just her partner. She smiled at him softly before hearing someone say something about baby pumpka and a pumpka patch. That might be worth checking out.
Morana was READY for this... she hoped. She hadn't been sure what a masquerade was, exactly, so she came in a dress, but had no mask. UGH! She wanted to hide behind her hair. At least Vera, her tail, could pretend the ribbons tied around her were a mask or something. UGH! She was lamenting her lack of mask when a stranger handed her a bottle of orange liquid. "Thank you?" But the kid was gone.
