Suhail continued to mill about the party, enjoying the music. He would occasionally stop to grab a bite to eat for both himself and the two familiars that were tagging along. At one point, he felt something hit his back and fall onto his tail; when he lifted his tail, a red and brown Nezubat was clinging to it. Cautiously, he gave the bat his hand so that it would detach; then he tried to release the beastie back into the room. It didn't seem to want to leave. Suhail simply sighed and continued making the rounds of the ball, pile of familiars in tow.
“Perhaps,” She said softly, uncertain and decided to shrug it off. It wouldn’t have been the first time something unusual had happened to her. Hopefully she wouldn’t have to deal with any more surprises. She did grace the squabbling Nezubats a smile. “I think they are rather cute, perhaps it is your personality that is drawing them to you.” She teased lightly.
“But, let us get something to drink and then, perhaps would you care for a dance? It has been a while since I have.” Perhaps a bit too long, she could just remember the steps. Still, it could be fun.
"Heh, you think?" Kelvir scratched his cheek and gave Ned a gentle poke. "Or maybe they're attracted to a lady as lovely as you, and I'm just along for the ride." Smooth, real smooth. Fortunately for him, she was taking point. "I'd be happy to get something to drink with you. And a dance? Of course!" His memory of the dance steps was a little shaky, but he had a feeling he could pull it off without stepping on her feet.
Lusye continued going through the party, admiring everyone's lovely looks. At one point, a pushy so-and-so strode up to her, gesticulating wildly at a tin barrel where others were bobbing for apples. On the one hand, Lusye was concerned about the germs, sort of, but then she figured why the heck not? Making sure her mask was on securely, she threw her figurative hat in the bobbing ring. Unfortunately, the apples kept slipping away from her, leaving her a good deal wetter than she liked. What a bummer. Praise be for towels. It wasn't like she got soaked, but still! Wet! Yuck! She was going to avoid pushy so-and-sos and their apple barrels from here on out.
Dax wondered how the heck he'd gotten to this weird, dark part of the ballroom. It suited him, sorta, but there was something unsettling about this part of the room. Those looked like some odd decorations up there. Brains? Floating brains...? Puffy clouds? The heck?
Suddenly, one of the cloud-brain-things began to move. It was coming toward him, and he took an unnerved step backward, making an ungainly squeak when the thing booped him in the face. He then felt immensely silly, as he had merely been booped by a Rammykin. Like a Kidden, but fluffier. That was something he could get behind.
Sheak kind of kept to herself over the course of the ball, but as things stood, her attention kept going to one place in particular: the heap of Nezubat plushies. She made her way back over there and looked to make sure no one was watching. Once her obscurity was confirmed, she shoved her hand into the pile of plushies, enjoying the softness. Again, not a Goodbye Owlbear, but those were made of a different material anyway. The way one snuggled them was different. These plushies were puffy, perfect for enjoying the fuzz of. Puffy puffy puffski perfection!
Juliette was already finding herself feeling a bit drained. Even though she was now full of food and had a friend on her shoulder, there were a lot of characters to encounter. She really was never one for crowds. Juliette eyed the dancers, unsure about going out there herself or staying on the sidelines. She really did love to dance but she wasn't about to go out there on her own...

Dara had followed the stranger as best she could. The feeling was just too strong to let them go. However, she was soon distracted by a pile of nezbat plushies. They were so cute she had to take one. "Don't mind if I do~" She took her time choosing the perfect plush to take home. Dara certainly was filling her bag up with treats.

Frederick had wandered the edges of the ballroom before coming across a fortune teller's tent. "Since I'm here anyway," Frederick said before entering the tent. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but it was better than looking like a lost child.

Arthur was minding his own business, trying to soothe his new friend of a flitterat, when someone shoved a giant stuff version of said familiar into his arms. "Excuse me?" he said before putting down the toy. He was hoping to see the owner on the other side with an excuse for their actions, but no one was there. "Odd."

Seren eventually moved himself and his flitterat companion off of the floor. It took him almost being stepped on to realize it was a bad place to be. He had stood, stretched, and perched the familiar on his shoulder when a junior came by. The child quickly shoved a bottle into Seren's chest before darting back in the crowd.
"What's this?" Seren tried shouting at them. He tried to push through the crowd to find them but somehow managed to lose track of the yellow suit.

Eirian waved off Sally's concern. "Oh, no, it's fine." They smiled to prove that they were not offended. "I just wasn't sure if you meant what you said in a good or bad way yet." They chuckled before continuing. "Thank you."
"Your hair is lovely on it's own," Eirian commented. "It has a nice wave to it and the color is so rich." They rubbed their chin in thought. "Sometimes people start off with a ponytail or a bun if you simply want variety. Those are easy but fun." Eirian smiled.
Eirian looked again at Sally's doll when she asked if they wanted to do anything. "I actually would like to find the table where you got that," they said honestly. "If you don't mind."
Shaddaling
Feel free to skip over them going over to the plush booth unless you roll it too. <3
The Mask She got about two steps from the booth when the junior called her back with a wink and offered her the one plushie she had been eyeballing as the one she actually wanted. The galaxy pattern was just lovely, and the soft glow it gave off was rather nice. Not that she needed a nightlight or anything!! She just found the light soothing.
Giving the junior an enthusiastic smile, she accepted the second plush and cradled it with the black and red one and her ghostly looking new pet. "Thank you, this is so sweet of you!"
The Mask In her haste to escape the scene, she spotted what looked like a fortune telling tent. Since that was a rare enough sight, she went ahead to go have a look inside. Thankfully it appeared empty aside from her and the fortune teller. Before she could say even one of her questions, the kirin gestured to the chair opposite her.
"Come, sit my child, and let us look into your fortune."
The Mask The fennekit they hadn't noticed when it first appeared, startled them when it abruptly chittered and ran off. They were busy picking up the large plush they hadn't quite thrown when it returned with another one. This one looked more like a skyfish, but with the brightest colors they'd ever seen. It wasn't unpleasant, per say, so much as vivid against their light skin and the white fur of the flitterrat plush. They were really going to have to find somewhere else to put this so they could have their hands free again.
The Mask The large barrel had been such an oddity in the sparkling ball room that he'd simply had to see if it was actual bobbing for apples. That was something he'd expect more at a fair or during trick or treating, but the reality of it hit him in the face. Literally.
The volunteer who'd been trying to convince him to try out apple bobbing had pat him on the back a few times too many and too hard. He'd fallen forward, face first into the water barrel. He came up sputtering, hearing the rapid apologies coming from the volunteer, and the stifled laughter coming from the crowd. His patches flashed in embarrassment, he turned and fled to a bathroom with saying even a word. The blush on his cheeks felt like it was hot enough to evaporate the water, but he could still feel it dripping down his skin.
As Frost handed him the Nezubat plush, Thoth was suddenly grateful for his helmet-mask, for he could feel the blush bursting across his cheeks. He snuggled the little plush up to his mask's beak, losing orientation on just how big the mask was and nearly knocked the poor plush from his hands in his eagerness. "Frost, I love it! Thank you..." He turned himself to see through the mask's holes at the spectacle of the ball. "So...what do we do now?"
He pointed towards a star-spangled tent set up along one wall. "Did you want to get our fortunes read?"
There were so many others here, and it was making Citali extremely anxious. Thankfully her new Rammykin stayed cuddled against her, which helped calm her down some. Why in the world did I come here? I don't belong here. I belong in my room studying! She was getting extremely upset with herself, and so decided to make her way to a quiet spot along the wall. It wasn't that she didn't want to be there, she just felt so lost.
While she was leaning against the wall, going through her calming techniques, she was tapped on the shoulder. Before she had a chance to move, they whispered something and ran back off into the crowd. The poor girl had no idea what they said, and then the fact they touched her! Oh dear lord, she may leave this event yet if she was going to keep getting people invading her bubble.
There was just something about these festivals. There were always so many familiars! While he was talking to Leto, A vespercat ran around them. Where were they all coming from? After petting the cat and calming it down, he sent it on his way so he could continue talking to Leto.
Laurentia: 19 If you do not have a Rainbow Potion: Someone taps on your shoulder and whispers something completely inaudible into your ear before disappearing into the crowd. What was that?!
Lau laughed happily as she danced with Obi, but someone seemed to lean in and whispered something to her as they danced. What was that? She had no idea what was just said, and it clearly wasn't Obi's voice... so she ignored it.
Miwako: 15 If you do not have an Orange Potion: You overhear from somebody that there's a pumpka patch outside where you can pet baby pumpkas. Yaaaas!
She was really happy to be dancing with Kiri. Miwako really liked the fallen. Should she tell him how much she liked him? Her thoughts were derailed as she heard someone talking about a baby pumpka patch. That sounded cute. It took her mind off of Kiri for a moment.
As she made friends with the new jellyfish, she heard a strange noise as a second jellyfish joined her. Well now, was this her lucky day or what? She smiled and touched the newcomer as well.

Onyx: 14 Spooky rat
Onyx was just laughing. These plushies were so cute. They were kind of large, and he really wanted to see what Ardal thought about them. The thought of the little cherub next to the pluehie had him laughing... and he almost missed the second plush being pushed into his arm. He now had a plushie in each arm. What even just happened?
Sesha: 5 You bump - literally! - into someone who smells like cotton candy and looks a little bit familiar. They turn, wink at you, and disappear into the crowd. Whoa.
Sesha smiled. "Yeah, let's!" He took Arch's hand as they went to the dance floor. "Archimedes." He repeated the name to make sure he remembered it. "You're a wood carver? That's really cool!" He'd never met a wood carver before. "I'm an aspiring chef." He beamed. As he said that, he bumped into someone. "Oh! S... sorry!" He really was a bad dancer. But... that kid smelled pretty good. He could only laugh.
Nora: 20 You feel the urge to ask a stranger to dance. Find someone who is not currently interacting with someone else and ask them for a waltz!
An unknown demon came up to her. Nora looked at the girl and smiled. "My mask? Thanks!" She beamed. "Yours is super cute too! I love it. Did you make it yourself?" She didn't even notice that the other was hallowed. The happy fallen was just pleased to meet someone new. "Hey, do you wanna dance?"
Nicolae: 10 These skyfish plushies are just piled up on a table near some candy apples. They're super soft!
Nicolae heard someone shout a compliment to him. "Oh? Thank you!" he didn't see where it had come from though. He smiled and looked, trying to see who had complimented him this time, but couldn't see anyone. He shrugged and wandered over to a table that was piled high with cute skyfish plush. He was too old for these things. He was a teacher. He was mature. He was... taking an orange plushie...
Atropos: 16 These familiars smell like candy corn. Mmmm...
As she sat there chatting with the kid running the bobbing for apples game, Atropos could swear she smelled something sweet. Mmmmm what was that? As she tried to find the source of the sweet smell, a cute little fennekit climbed into her lap. "Oh! Hello there little one." She smiled and pet the little familiar.
Bowie was starting to regret never having gone to any party or festival while he was younger. These things were GREAT! He stopped to have some snacks, but a nezubat swooped in and stole a chip from his hand. "Well hey." He laughed, coaxing the bat to come back again with a pretzel.
7, 8, 13, 8, 20, 10 Seeing the hesitation and nervousness in his partner, Alto took control of the dance. He had refrained at first because after all the one leading typically had less steps but Alto was getting the feeling that he needed to show it was okay. If need be he was totally fine giving up control again. Dancing was more about making your partner feel better and having fun after all.
“It’s okay if you step on them, the hooves are pretty tough. Just have fun” Alto whispered. “As for what I like to do, well I really like studying history but on my off time I explore the campus or write. Trying to narrow down what I want to do I guess? How about you?” Alto replied. They danced close enough to another couple, that Alto overheard their conversation about the fortune teller booth. Might be interesting later, but for now he had company and if he didn’t end up going well it wouldn’t bother him too much. (Enju). ---------------------------------------------
Fiore took the offered hand as it was the polite thing to do and because she wanted to. The masquerade ball was a time to be out there with yourself after all. “It would be my honor to dance with you” She smiled back. Besides after all it wouldn’t be a ball without dancing. While it was true her outfit wasn’t exactly made for formal dances, it was still a dress her dad had made, and deserved a dance. She did hear the apple bobbing guy trying to get more players but luckily as they moved towards the dance floor she was far enough away not to be asked again. She would have felt bad turning them down a second time. (Micari) ------------------------------------------------------ Khensu smiled. It was always good when a familiar found some one that they wanted to go home with. He was glad festivals gathered such throngs of people, they could find their match. Well I agree that the Miss is an excellent choice to ask for a dance, but I am afraid I was asked first. So I am afraid that we must share, but I know you'll agree from one winged being to another" Khensu replied in a serious yet still light manner. He offered his hand to her as they walked out into the dance floor. Weirdly enough before they started to dance, a passerby shoved a plushie into Khensu' back pocket. Okay, well he would deal with it later. (Lunette) ---------------------------------------------- "Pleasure to dance with you as well, have fun for the rest of your night" Nephthys replied as her dance partner disappeared. She figured they would part some time during the night as it seemed what ever spell was on her companion disapated. It was about that time that one of the vendors tried to get her to join a game of bobbing apples. However she was a bit famished and declined. ------------------------------------------------- Xevikan had to shake his head fondly at the fortune teller. He wasn't expecting anything grand, never did when it came to divination. Still it was okay for a fun time, he did have to admit. After getting out from his mother's thumb, he was finding things he knew he could have fun with. " it was indeed, although I guess since it's my turn to suggest things ... I suppose it wouldn't be a masquerade ball if I didn't at least dance once? Would you like to dance?" Xevikan asked slightly unsure.

---------------------------------------------- " ah it looked like the vespercat got spooked, I hope that I didn't add more stress to them" yes that was the right response right? To think of animals. Still he had asked for a dance and the hybrid had responded. " ah thank you, you like nice as well" Solomon replied, offering his hand as he turned to walk towards the dance floor. Of course it was about then that a junior manning a booth next to the apple game and the dance floor kind of threw a plushie at him. Luckily he caught it, and carefully stuffed it in his pocket. It was actually pretty soft, but he filed that away for later.
