Captain Nagyagite Location: E9 Action: Returning and getting struck by lightning for that sweet permanent serpent scar
The darkness wanted to consume him.
Nagyagite refused to let it.
He refused to let himself give up. Refused to be trapped here forever.
No. No, he wasn’t going to stay here—he was going to follow those lights, and he was going to escape. He was going to get back to Simon, because Earth could not have been wiped out. He was going to figure out what the hell he had to do to get out of the ******** Negaverse. And he was going to leave.
He was going to find out who he could be, without the monster.
There was a wispy red mist, a path that seemed to lead him out, and Nagyagite stepped onto it. Let it carry him back.
He gasped as he sat up, blinking stars from his eyes. It was hard to see, but he was sure he was back and alive.
And lighting struck, hitting him in the back and making him double over, coughing in shock and pain.
But it was confirmation. If he could hurt, he was alive. And he had to keep going.
Nagyagite stumbled to his feet, taking a handful of scales with him.
Call them trophies, for surviving the damn Hollow.
Something started to pull at him, drawing his attention away from the sight before him. He felt weary, sluggish, and for a moment, he wasn't sure if he could follow that slow pull.
It felt like he was walking through water, almost, but not in the same way he was getting used to when it came to Melpomene bringing him through mirrors. Thinking of his fiance, he focused on the red glow that slowly pulled him away from that star.
The sensation felt different; he didn't feel like he was grounded anymore, but he heard a voice, even if it took him a moment to really come around. That tingle of electricity had him snapping to things. Then he noticed the heartbeat and started to feel the sheer fabric of their overlay against his fingers as he groaned and curled into them slightly.
"Home... I... it is hard to see." He knew he had his contacts in, so it couldn't be that, but still, he tried blinking his eyes slowly to try and clear his vision.
Feeling a tear drip onto his face, he reached up to wipe their cheek clumsily. "Sorry for worrying you, darling..." Realizing they were carrying him, he almost wanted to object, but honestly, it wouldn't be far fetched for someone to be carrying a wounded person in this situation.

With Melpomene carrying Chal, she held her breathe and looked him over until he started to stir. With the other mauvian gone as well, she felt frazzled more than she usually let show.
"Yes, home. Once we get out of this, you both need to rest." Not that she didn't need to rest as well, but she had to help look into better ways to help keep these two safe.
Once Chal seemed to be coming around and started talking, she went to looking around the square for the other mauvian. Moving one of the larger scales, she felt something off brush against the side of her hand. A crystal, stuck in between some of the other piled scales, called to her. Looking around, she quickly hid it away in her coat before continuing to look for the mauvian.

With things dying down, Beatrix felt a frown forming on her face over the fact she couldn't fight the obviously weakened princess and pals in front of her. It would be easy, well easier, she figured, but it also might be frowned upon to do right in front of the Queen.
Stretching a bit and moving some of the tangled mess of hair out of her face, she squatted down and started picking up some of the scattered scales. They were kinda neat, she guessed, so maybe she could do something with them or see if like they might be neat to sell on ebay as some sort of trinket.

With Beni's words about holding onto love, she felt like he'd been speaking a foreign language as she sat on the ground, still near where he had been.
But whether this was a fairy tale or not, she let out a gasp as he reappeared in front of her. Seeing that he had stars in his eyes, unable to see her even if she was right next to him, she stood on shaky legs and stepped forward to pull him into a hug.
"You... you can't do that... we have a contract... and... I," pausing a moment as she pressed her face into his chest, "I think I actually love you." It was quiet as she felt awkward saying something so different from the usual way things were approached, but she felt like she should say it just in case whatever universal thing that had brought him back had been related to what Beni had said.

With Benitoite down, he looked towards Miyamoto with a look he hoped they would understand. Whjle Mara was gone and so was Diaboliete, Beni was still there and he could see what could be done.
Checking the smaller blonde for a pulse, he was relieved to find one. "Beni, you need to get up, it's dead." Keeping his tone even as he checked for any major injuries, Stichtite gently nudged his cousin before making the decision to pick them up once he was sure there weren't any other injuries besides the marks from the lightning.
"You have a tart that is going to be upset if you're gone, and an entire family that needs you." Focusing on keeping his steps fluid so not to jostle them too much, he moved over to where Aoede was as Diaboliete reappeared. "Thank god," he sighed as he saw his cousin. "I have Beni, Miyamoto is where Mara was." ------------------------------------------------------

With Remarque and the others looking over those who were left, Hela scrambled forward to where she had last seen Hybris. They'd looked like her but different, something had changed, but she hadn't taken the time yet to look down as she paced the area she'd seen him.
"Hybris... where are you, you idiot?" She felt bad for saying it as it came out but she was worried and frustrated that even though she'd managed to do something, her friend wasn't here anymore.

There was a far-off stirring, something that felt wholly uncomfortable as she wandered this new space and looked over the star that called to her.
It was tempting to remain, the mix of emotions she felt at least gave her something to experience versus the solitude and silence of that library. But even that could never last forever, and she felt herself wandering towards that nagging feeling.
Being built back together piece by piece, she wanted to have words with the man who had given her the bracelet. Reaching up for her face as she tried to look around with little success, she could tell her eyes were still there so maybe this was temporary from what had happened.
It bothered her, but she also knew that some books could be read without vision. An annoyance, but not the end of the world. Hearing that voice again, the familiar voice of that woman who gave her books, she wanted to ask questions ,but found it hard to move around without tripping over things for the moment.
Corrupt Sailor Industria Location: A8 Action: Getting struck by lightning and panicking over Cryptomelane!
They had done it.
Industria’s chest heaved with desperate breaths, and in the sudden calm, she had a moment of awful clarity.
Ympe’s distressed shrieks were more than enough to tell her that there was a reason Cryptomelane was so still.
“No, no no,” she gasped, and she staggered to her feet, but only to get her far enough to kneel next to him.
They might be trapped. The world might be doomed.
All of that, she could endure if she was not alone.
But the serpent and its dark master had not just taken her home from her, had not just locked her in this awful prison with it, but it had taken Preston from her, too.
Lightning crackled down from the sky, but she barely registered the pain. Barely registered the way it seemed to spool over her, leaving a winding serpent over her shoulder and down her arm.
“Please. No one has ever understood me as you do.” Her voice was soft and tremulous, and her fingers brushed Cryptomelane’s cheek, under his eyes that were full of stars and stared at nothing, with none of the man she loved in them. “Please come back.”

Siegfried Knight of Neptune & Ariccia Page of Cybele Location: E5 Action: Sieg is feeling kinda pathetic that he can't stand to try to protect Cybele from Faustite, and then just feeling very tired. Ariccia is quiet and helping him stand
Everything moved at lightning speed - ha - and then came to a sudden stop. They were alive, somehow. Lightning struck around the group but for the moment they were safe. As safe as they could be with a steadily shrinking prison, trapped as they were with the Negaverse.
Chaos flared in their vicinity, and Siegfried could not move fast enough to protect Cybele. Agony radiated up his leg from his broken ankle as Faustite raised his weapon to come down for the killing blow. He stumbled and shouted for Cybele to dodge and ---
Lightning slammed into the General King, and he dropped to the ground. The shotel made of volcanic glass clattered a second later.
Siegfried spit at Faustite and pushed himself to his feet with Ariccia's help. "Go to ********' hell, Faustite." The Cybele page was too short to be much of a help, but she tried her best at least.
Richtersveld was both relieved and amused that Dumuzi finally was able to embrace a higher power just as all of this was happening. It seemed like him to do so. Rising to challenges had always been one of his bigger motivators, even when everything was going wrong.
But they were now stuck in ... The prison. With the creature. This certainly couldn't be the end, right? Perhaps the gemstones that some of the others were holding were the key.
Her eyes flickered to Dumuzi, before suddenly a much darker presence flooded her senses, and she jumped to see a General-Sovereign suddenly in front of them.
Aiming for the princess.
"No!" Her instincts kicked in as she moved to get in the way of someone she didn't even know, but Dumuzi grabbed her arm and yanked her back.
"See?" Dumuzi jerked his chin up as he looked to where Faustite had been. "No point in trying to be the hero." Dumuzi had wanted to be the hero, and maybe Richtersveld knew that by the way she looked at him, but he continued on, "She is alive."
"But the sovereign ...," Richtersveld's brows knit in concern, "he's..."
Dumuzi didn't see a problem with this and snorted. "Good."
Perhaps Richtersveld did, though. She shifted uncomfortably. No one deserved to be attacked by this after all the effort they had put in. It wasn't just Order. As much as Richtersveld did not support Chaos by any means, they would never get a chance to redeem themselves if they were just electrocuted to death.
Richtersveld pulled her arm away from Dumuzi and shifted where she stood.
The sound of Kaga's voice drew a sob from Ako and she held her tighter. Nameless countless emotions and thoughts swirled within her and she held Kaga to her, as if she were terrified to let go. Impulsively, Ako kissed, not giving a single s**t about pda. They both had lived, and she truly had no words to express just how deeply she felt. When she allowed herself to pull away, a single word left her lips.
Commander Naeria Location: F3 Action: Failing at draining CH, getting hit with lightning, looting.
It was trapped.
The ancient device had worked. Naeria was still not sure what had become of Earth, or how they would be able to return there even if it had survived, but there were enough people here with various knowledges and sources of power that they would likely be able to figure something out.
Or perhaps they would just begin trying to kill each other again. She eyed the humans warily. That was what they always tried to do, wasn't it? Somehow, the tension in the area seemed stronger than it had a few seconds ago, when the indescribably large monster had been attacking them.
Still, now that it was restrained, she was going to continue her research.
The lightning still ravaging the area showed how much energy the creature contained. Was there a way to channel that? It had filled her Source Stone in an instant before.
She held it up now. Lightning battered around the Herald, but the energy was wilder than it had been before, more unfocused. She stepped closer, trying to focus on channeling the energy, and a bolt struck her, ripping her uniform and leaving a mark across her chest and shoulder. be if there was some way to refine it?
Although a large part of her balked at the idea of trying to use an unwilling sentient creature as a battery. Of course they couldn't let it go free, and have it destroy whatever living worlds remained. It was a prisoner. But even prisoners were to be treated with a certain amount of dignity, weren't they?
Would treating it in a manner like that be any different than taking Caedus's starseed to the Cauldron without his consent?
But Caedus was his own person. She wasn't sure if the same could be said for the Herald. Her closest Earthling friend was a horse. She had spent some time studying animals, and she knew of the snake, Dylas, that lived in Andreyia's greenhouse. They acted on instinct, but also logic. This creature seemed different.
She did not think it was fueled by Chaos, but it reminded her of it, all the same.
Still, she supposed the ethics did not matter so much if there was no way to carry out her idea. She would have to present her thoughts to the others if she was able to get out of here. For the moment, she collected a few scales for farther research, then trudged back towards the group, defeated.
It was over. Aruna's knees buckled and she fell to one knee, gritting her teeth. She felt more exhausted than she ever had in her life, frankly, and all she wanted was to sleep for a year after all this.
Glancing over, she smiled a little at the sight of Elsa stirring and calling for Muri. She was thankful, if for no other reason than for Muri's sake, that he was alright. She did tell Muri they'd all be okay, didn't she? That all of them would be alright in the end. That painful, hopeful optimism of hers seemed to pay off this time.
Struggling to her feet, she looked around again, eyes finally landing on who she sought and she sighed in relief as she began to make her way over. It wasn't overly hard to spot Basiluzzo, not when she was actively looking for him, and she gently made her way through the people to come to his side. She looked exhausted but gave her cousin a smile none the less. Opening her mouth to greet him, a cry came out instead as lightning hit her and brought her to her knees just feet from her cousin, hand clutching at her hip as tears welled and spilled over.
Bifrost Transcendant Knight of Chronos Location: E1 Action: Not quite dead yet! Being slammed in the chest with lightning to give her a nice scar, and finding an old vial holder with one remaining bottle in it
At some point in her vigil against the Dark Star, she noticed something. A little red line, a little red dot, that coaxed her attention toward it. She frowned, tilting her head slightly. She was alone there and yet...
Bifrost tore her eyes from the Dark Star and followed the little red light. The bracelet from Almadel flared a little brighter as she moved towards the light.
She knew she was back where she needed to be before her senses caught up with her. The Hallow was trapped and the prison was holding. They too were trapped along with it, but she had faith and hope that they would survive this. If something could bring her back from the dead, then something would get her out of here.
The knight took a step forward and agony shot through her chest. Lighning slammed into her, hitting her straight in the collarbones and sternum. Her skin burned and she couldn't get a breath large enough to scream. Bifrost stumbled and pressed her hands to her chest, as if she was trying to hold herself in place. Fingers ran over the scars she'd put there and--- they were twisted, contoured. No. They were. Changed.
She tried to look down and saw the coil of a serpent disappearing down into her bodice. She had no idea the extent of the damage, but she didn't feel... dead again. For now.
Bifrost sat down on the ground to catch her breath, and her hand brushed against something behind her. A small leather vial case was just... laying there. The leather itself was scorched and the edges damaged, but it seemed in tact. It was so... random she couldn't help picking it up. Inside, a singular glass bottle or vial sat, with something inside she couldn't quite determine. She didn't know where it had come from or why it was here, but she dropped it into her subspace all the same.
She didn't know how long she was there, curled up and staring into the abyss. Time meant nothing in this place, not when it was clear that they'd failed. Others seemed to flicker in and out around her, but she didn't notice them.
Maybe this time she'd actually get reincarnated properly, instead of hiding in stasis. Would that she could have figured out what happened on her world before this though... Would that she'd done anything except hid on Earth for years.
Warmth spread across her limbs in a slow wave until she felt whole again.
Then a small body crashed into her and hugged her tight.
"Ms. Tere! There you are!" Drakonia said with a happy smile and more than a few tears in her eyes. The chibi senshi seemed so very calm for the whole world ending, and Tere dying. Maybe she hadn't seen it happen?
"I am alri---"
Black lightning slammed into the pair of them with a crack. Terebellum screamed in agony as pain shot through her left horn, ear and side. She fell to the floor, holding her head and curling in on herself again. She'd never been in so much pain in her entire life and oh stars oh stars her horn was gone.
Drakonia would have screamed if she hadn't fallen unconscious. While she took comparatively less damage than Tere, a serpentine marking snaked from her right temple all the way down to the back of her right hand. The eleven year old fell limp next to Terebellum, right hand still outreached to the other.
A matching mark snaked from Tere's left temple to the back of her left hand.
Ephesus looked up at the sky as the Calamitous Hollow was brought down, captured between the spikes. But he didn’t like that they were as well.
There was so much they didn’t know about the serpent. But they knew it was dangerous. And even though Ephesus really, really wanted to try and save it from its fate, he felt an overwhelming surge of fear.
He pressed his face against Amarynthos’ shoulder, curling up against him as he desperately tried not to cry. He couldn’t quite manage it, but kept his sobs as quiet as possible.
He was tired. He didn’t think any of his friends had been seriously injured -- all thanks to Dering’s amazing shield. He wanted to make sure Dering was okay. And that Yvoire and Reims were okay. But he didn’t want to look at the serpent. He didn’t want to see the other people who had been hurt. Not because he didn’t want to help them! But what if he needed to help his parents but used up all his magic before he had a chance to meet up with them.
And he was afraid that they were hurt, or worse. He didn’t want to look. He hated feeling like a coward.
‘I want to go home,’ he thought to Amarynthos, although he managed to peek out a bit to look at the bracelet he was wearing. It was glowing and so pretty. Ephesus scrubbed at his eyes, but kept one arm around Amarynthos with his head on his shoulder.
Reims wanted to make sure Malus was okay. That Yvoire was okay. He looked to both of them, checking them out for any serious injuries, before looking up at the sky where the serpent was waiting. The wispy red rope connecting several together seemed like it might be something important, but he needed to make sure those around him were okay.
“Hey, you did a good job. You can rest,” Reims said gently to Dering, lifting his hand to place it over his hand on the lute. His fingers looked raw, and he’d done so much. It was a little amazing that he was still standing.
He didn’t take the lute away from him, but Reims did lean down so he could lift Dering up into his arms. Obviously, if he struggled he would do his best to respect his wishes and put him back down, but Reims gave him a little squeeze as if to promise him that it was okay.
For a moment, he caught Yvoire’s eyes, but looked away as his ears burned. He wanted to talk to him more. To see how he was doing. But he was so worried about pushing his luck. Would it matter if Earth was gone or if they were stuck there?
“What do you think?” he asked Amarynthos, but then turned to Malus as well. “Whatever that red stuff is. Think it’s got something to do with an escape? Maybe Almadel really did have some good forethought for this.”
Varuna shook her head as she reached out to brush some of Adria’s hair behind his ear, and then fussed a little with his uniform that had gotten pushed out of place in their haste to find his brother.
She didn’t blame him or anyone for not knowing they should stay away from the spikes. She was pretty sure it was just something they were going to have to deal with, anyway.
“We should all stick together, whatever we decide,” she said, but felt like it was obvious. They had been lucky. There were others who seemed to be suffering.
The spike held and finally, fully activated. Their work and...sacrifices, coming into fruition as it joined the rest in caging the weakened Calamitous Hollow. They had won, and they had lost those dear to them in the process. There was a selfish bit of emptiness in Hestia's heart as she watched it fall, and wished she had been able to take one their places. It felt...wrong, to survive them.
Turning back to see if the affections between her General King and teammates was done, or if they need another few moments of privacy, she saw Faustite suddenly teleport away. Which was to be expected, of course he'd go to report to Queen Laurelite, of course he would...
Go to attack Princess Cybele, of course he would take this opportunity to...
Disappear once more, in a hail of black lightning, disappearing in its dark and violent depths until it was gone and nothing of him remained.
Of course.
Hestia stared into the distance, silently breaking into a million pieces, and most cruelly of all, remaining whole and well despite it.
The attempted attack on Cybele had come and gone faster than the pair, who had strayed a bit further from the group than intended as Steins happily picked up little scales and clearly dealing with their near-death and still a bit uncertain situation the best way she knew how - deny and ignore. It did, however, bring them rushing back over.
"That was...." Hierapolis began.
"looks like someone was zaptured," Steins supplied. Because humor could help deal with everything, right?
Still concerned and only slowly regaining her usual pep, Steins bounced lightly over to Cybele and Seigfried, "I have some first aid things in my subspace stuff - I might be able to at least stabalize and wrap your breaks..." The eternal senshi offered with concern and sweet innocence in her opalescent-lavender eyes.
They'd won. Or something. Neither Captain nor Corrupt really felt like they'd won anything. Not yet. They still had to get back home, they still were trapped here. The Queen probably had a way out, she always had something up her sleeve to get her precious agents and senshi to safety. They just had to hold tight and wait.
Mizuki's eyes went wide as Faustite teleported across the field and lightning slammed into him.
Then he was gone.
There was nothing left in Mizuki to wail or scream or charge over there. She felt numb. He was gone. Again.
She stepped up next to Hestia and reached for the Eternal's hand, the same vacant stare into the distance as she too stood whole and well despite everything.
Litharge barely had time to move or reset before lightning slammed into him to and he dropped like a sack of potatoes, his uniform torn open down his back and a serpent slithering along his spine.
Somewhere among the group, the small kitten form that was Haymitch came back into being, but the cat didn't move or wake.

Transended Princess Ida Location: F3 Action: Assessing the situation, asking Illyria, Kerberos, Fang and Procyon to go before her while she checks on any injured.
Other were joining the group clustered around the defunct device, their numbers swelling like some kind of beacon had called them. Thankfully, none of them were more Negaverse agents. Ida could deal with everyone else.... probably. Illyria had left her side, but only to go to Procyon. The poor boy was distraught and probably dearly needed that hug, because there was not a lot Ida could promise him about the ones that had fallen. She had no magic that would bring them back, and while the oddness of this strange place might mean they weren't wholey gone... she also couldn't think of any way to bring them back. She couldn't make any promises, and that hurt as badly as the grief in Procyon's voice.
Shaking off the last tingles of electricity, Ida turned her attention back to the monster above them as she felt the blossom of energy beside her that meant Illyria had done her job of helping Procyon reach his full potential. She watched as it launched itself away from them, its form tiny compared to where it had started, and was flung back towards them, crashing into some unseen field again. The top of whatever pocket dimension they occupied? It seemed furious, but... drained. Out of whatever power it had had. It was held... but was that truly it? Were they done? Without dropping her eyes, Ida called her phone to hand and lifted it to check... but there was no signal, no power... it was, more or less, useless here... which meant, unless Almadel or some other force like Cosmos happened to take an interest... they might be stuck here.
Something happening with the bracelet? That drew Ida's eyes away from the Hollow and she glanced first at Illyria, then at her own wrist where the bracelet from Almadel flashed steadily. Did... did that mean? Maybe they had a way home after all?
She felt someone take her hand and she turned to see Kerberos beside her, something in his expression that called to her. Her brows drew together as she reached out to cup his cheek in her palm, squeezing his hand in her own.
"Yes." She said softly as she studied his eyes, warm and familiar, even with the ghost of some past trauma haunting their depths. "I don't like leaving it like this, still alive and a threat, but... I think it's time to go home. I don't know how long that tether will remain open, but we have to make sure everyone makes it... everyone." Whether or not those people wished her and her kind very firmly dead or enslaved to their dark powers, they still needed to make it back to Earth. No one left behind.
Impulsively, she leaned in to press a kiss to Kerberos's lips through his veil, short and sweet and full of reassurance.
"Go with Illyria and make sure Procyon and Fang make it too. I'll follow you, but I want to make sure everyone else is going to make it before I do. If someone is hurt too badly, I can help get them back on their feet."
post 1234567 Location: G8, with Aquitania, Metis, Totoro, Niflhel, Senshi Mauvian Snowball, Vela, & others! <3 Action: Checking on others, collecting scales
She smiled brightly to Vela as the senshi took to her new rank. More magics and attacks were fired, more lightning crashed around them...
But the spikes worked. The Calamitous Hollow was trapped.
She tried to not think about how they were trapped here with it. Instead, she turned back to the others after giving Vela another quick smile and "Congratulations, you've more than earned it." Moving towards the children, she let out a soft sigh of relief to see Totoro and Aquitania still each in one stable piece. "I'm proud of you both for your bravery in all of this," she said softly to them. And meant it, immensely. This... this wasn't easy. This wasn't kind. This was far more than any child, any person, should have to face.
Sadly... there was the fact they'd likely have more to deal with. The Queen's hologram mentioned Heralds... more.
For the moment, she allowed herself to laugh, taking one of the bags from Snowball and casting him a quizzical look. "Just what else do you keep in there..?" Not that it prevented her from picking up a handful of the smaller ones, and one of the larger pieces. She'd figure out a use for them, eventually.
The lights though... Her ears twitched and flicked, looking towards her companions with a small smile. The bracelet she wore also felt... hm. More there. "The mist the stones are making... it looks almost like a guide to that one in the distance, doesn't it..?" Was it likely just hopeful thinking? Perhaps. But she couldn't not view it as a potential way out.... she wasn't sure of any other. While she collected the scales, she also took a second bag from Snowball to collect some for Metis who seemed... much more distracted currently.
post 123456 Location: G8, with Aquitania, Realta, Totoro, Niflhel, Senshi Mauvian Snowball, & others! <3 Action: Collecting scales, looking to the lights
...it wasn't often she saw red.
Metis felt a level of relief when the energy of the spikes grew, forming a cage that finally trapped the creature. And... possibly them. Likely them. She was trying not to think hard about that.
But she saw... red.
Red energy pulsed in tiny spots, leaking out between each other, and then... outward? No... to a distant, tiny spot. Red?
It was mystifying to her, a curiosity she wished she could reach out to, investigate. Perhaps she could..? For the moment, she reached towards Niflhel, tugging lightly at his sleeve. Her attention, though, was still focused on that distant, small light... red... "...I think we need to go now, can you see the red lights?"
