'The inner hall of the Citadel is destroyed; the high walls and decorated ceilings are fragmented frighteningly, destroying whatever imagery that had once been painted on it permanently. Several portions of the stone framework has fallen and now litter the ground where a more gruesome scene is told.
Blood and gore has been splattered every where the eye can look. The dismembered bodies of priests and guards lay about with their ghastly stares seemingly pointed in your direction. Bodies of the Lifeless can also be seen among the ruin but it is obvious that not many were taken down.
As you step deeper in to the hall you will notice a stairwell directly in front of you, while a hall stretches out to either side of you.'Quote: GM NotesThere is treasure in various pre-set locations. If you find it and can successfully make it back out it is yours. If you become incapacitated you lose all treasure. You have a 30 post time limit, afterwards, should you not make it out, you will be incapacitated immediately. Each turn I will present a new or continuing obstacle in your path that you must defeat, escape or some how think of a way to overcome. Note that their will be soon a Reward Market Event(OOC) where players can exchange rewards and have temporary access to the items for sale in the Markets of Aren. This is only available for players who have exited the City, should you become incapacitated you will not be allowed to access it, however you are free to exit the Citadel. The deeper you go in, the farther you go from the exit. You may choose to continue or exit. Your 30 Post Time Limit will be counted on my posts and that count will begin on my next post, following your decision to continue or exit. Should you have any questions feel free to PM me or contact me directly.

Averus Ikaru
Averus decided he didn’t really want to know what Takera was going to do with the body, in fact he wanted to be rather far away from it. This whole series of events had left a sour taste in his mouth, and for the most part he wanted to leave the area and be done with the god-forsaken city. But, there was only one thing left he had decided to do, and that was enter the crumbling ruin that was the citadel. Huffing slightly, he knew this could end rather badly for him if he failed, but he figured the risk was worth it in the end.
Turning to Takera, he handed off all the Jakatta’s he had left on him. “Buy me something nice if I come out like a rag doll.” Averus told him, smirking a little as he chuckled. He knew there was no point to continuing to carry the money around, as he was sure the ruined halls of the citadel wouldn’t really want it, nor need it.
Once he was done handing off the goods to Takera, he stepped off of Sha, petting the wolf before he headed up the stairs to investigate the doors of the citadel.
----
Averus made his way toward the ruined doors of the citadel, carefully taking in his surroundings. Walking inside, he saw what was left of the inner hall. The once, grand looking entrance looked war-torn and desolate, clearly now a shadow of its former self. Averus looked up at the fragmented ceiling, seeing that the once thriving citadel was ready to collapse as it had looked even on the outside.
Averus took a small moment as he passed the threshold of the doors, looking at the crumbling ruin. He needed to see what looked like safety, or at least where it seemed safe. The place looked like it was ready to crush him, given time and just the wrong timing of a passing breeze.

Averus Ikaru
As Averus entered the entrance hall, he spotted the two Lifeless that began to rise upon hearing him enter. He gritted his teeth, as he hadn't thought there would be any of these walking corpses after the Bishop had fallen earlier.
When they went to attack, he tried to fight back by swinging his arms to knock them both down, but they proved to be far more dangerous than he had anticipated. The two easily were able to attack him, and as he tried to reach for his knife to kill them, they were able to keep him from being able to even grab it. Swearing, he braced himself for what was going to come next.

Averus Ikaru
Averus curses as the building rumbles and jagged rubble begins to land on top of him, cutting her arms and body as he tries to block them. To make matters worse, the Lifeless, who were unfazed by the falling rubble, attack at the same time, and he began to feel bones break.
He cursed as he tried to back up a little, deciding that the run into the citadel was no longer worth the effort for whatever treasure might lie inside. Unfortunately as he began to back up, the Lifeless blocked his attempt to flee, and Averus could do nothing but hope that the building doesn't collapse on top of him at this point, or the Lifeless take this chance to take him out.

Averus Ikaru
Averus did his best to now block the Lifeless he was dealing with, and after some careful movements, he was able to stop both of the attacks, a turn of luck after the last few moments had been keeping him from his goal. Unfortunately, he no longer thought it was worth exploring deeper into the citadel, and seeing another group of Lifeless now making its way down one of the corridors, Averus made a critical decision. Turning on his heel, Averus looked back to the entrance of the citadel, then back to the two Lifeless he was dealing with. Trying his best to back step away from them, he began to make his way to escaping.
Though he knew he was abandoning his quest to obtain the treasure that laid within, the risks outweigh the reward.

Averus Ikaru
Averus looked to the Lifeless as they approached, but thankfully they were going rather slowly. Taking his chance while he had it, Averus turned around and moved as quickly as his feet could take him as he bolted for the entrance.
He was glad to see he was able to do so, and took a moment to breath once he was sure he was safe. He took one good look back into the dark interior that was the den of Lifeless, and a crumbling citadel, before he looked down the long staircase and began to make his way down to go find his comrades.
