Takera stood there watching as Averus expanded upon the idea of where they were currently located. Takera placed a crossed arm up, cusping his chin between his thumb and index finger thinking. Things that Averus had responded with moments before the 'potato calamity' occurred were beginning to rush back into Takera's mind. Badge of Office..? I wonder if he realizes that things aren't just black and white? Takera thought to himself as he mulled the subject over in his head. The kid before them was deceptively smart. While his demeanor came off as clumsy and aloof, it seemed he wasn't missing a beat. His eyes were sharp, and his body language gave away slight gaps in timing where he was perceiving what he had heard or seen within his interactions. The boy shot a nod to Takera, though it was unclear if that was his idea of an introduction, or if there were some hidden reasoning. Takera's eyes met his and he nodded in response.
The kid would then introduce himself as 'Shun Ishikawa'. He went on to explain to them that the over the top figure who busted in and stranded him here was in fact his father, and he apologized for it. That's when Shun began to exhibit peculiar actions. Takera watched carefully as he stared back to the door with strong interest before sighing as if he had expected something. ..Is something coming? Takera thought to himself before suddenly the door swung back open and launched the sack of potatoes out and into the opposite wall. Beads of sweat rolled down the back of Takera's head as the eccentric father of Shun burst back into the room. It seemed almost too convenient that he kept appearing. The man walked across the room and while he set Shun straight up on his feet, he began to force the idea on Takera and Averus that Shun was somebody worth trusting. Takera took a deep breath watching the man leave the room. As the door slammed shut once more, he glanced towards Averus and then over to the sack of potatoes that was trying to regain his equilibrium.
Takera allowed his arm to drop back down into a full 'crossed arms' position and was about to take a step closer to them when he heard the handle of the door turn. "..What now?" Takera spoke before the door opened up to reveal a regular guard holding and looking down at a clipboard. The guard adjusted his glasses as he looked up to the three spread across the room. "I need a.. Takera(?) to come with me." the guard requested while looking for some type of response. Takera shifted to face the guard and walked towards him. "That would be me." Takera stated bluntly, allowing his arms to now rest at his sides. The man eyed Takera up for a moment. "Alright then. Follow me. There's someone waiting to speak with you." the guard stated. He stepped out of the way allowing Takera to pass him before pulling the door closed.
Takera noticed the desk off to his left in the back. On top of it was his bag laying on it's side. The guard tapped Takera on the shoulder to get his attention and began leading him to the hallway near by. There were rows of doors strongly spaced out along the walls. The guard slowed as they arrived to a particular door, glancing up to the thin engraved plaque on the door. The guard opened the door and allowed Takera entry. Takera took a peek inside before actually crossing the threshhold of the door way. The room was seemingly empty until the door was pulled shut. A bead of sweat slid down the side of his face. His eyes widened ever so slightly. Takera flipped about to face the side of the door that's a blind spot to entrant, but it was too late. The figure was already within arm's length of Takera.
A hand landed on the top of Takera's shoulder, grasping firmly. Takera paused in the moment taking in the details of the figures face. There stood his teacher from the Academy who processed his evaluation and acceptance into the Hidden Cloud as a ninja. He carried a sarcastic grin that shows a mixture of his playfulness in the moment and his disappointment with Takera's recent events. "Why don't you have a seat?" Ishizara asked rhetorically. "We need to.. talk." Ishizara moved around the table as Takera pulled out the chair, inspecting it before sitting down. He placed his elbows on the table and propped his knuckles against one another where he would rest his chin as he watched Ishizara place both hands on the table, still standing, and leaned in. His expression changed to one of confusion. "What exactly do you think you were doing?" Ishizara asked in a slightly intimidating tone of voice.
Takera arched a brow and leaned back. "...Defending myself?" Takera responded coyly. Ishizara shook his head as he drew back to a full stand, placing his arms cupped behind his back. "Defending yourself? Explain." Ishizara demanded. "There isn't a lot to explain really. I showed up to the market in hopes of finding some kind of inspiration or purpose within the atmosphere and goods, but it was all just a bunch of eye candy until I got sight of the Averus kid staring me down. Before I could even confront him I found myself under the assault of a thief looking to take advantage of me-" Takera stated. "Wait a second. Was this guy the same guy guards spotted starting a scuffle with an unknown who ran off?" Ishizara asked as he pulled forth a piece of paper behind his back and placed it on the table, sliding it toward Takera. Takera leaned forward to glance at it. On the sheet was a picture of the burly thief who had tried to steal his bag and with it was some basic information about the thief. Takera looked up at Ishizara. "That would indeed be 'that guy'." Takera continued.
Ishizara slid the page back off the table and stowed it away behind his back once more. "Alright. Please continue." / That's impressive. This man has been on the loose for some time, always giving the guards and people a rough time.. And, yet he dropped him on the spot with enough time to flee before the guards could make out his appearance. He's showing great promise. Ishizara thought to himself, keeping his opinions under wraps. Takera leaned back once more. "With the oaf down I set my sights on Averus, but he was missing. I immediately scanned the crowd to find that he had almost reached my blind spot. I needed to remedy both problems and it wasn't going to happen in that setting, so I withdrew to the ally and hid out of sight waiting. I knew he was too invested not to follow me. He soon entered the alley and had seemingly set up counter measures against anyone getting the drop on him. When I dropped down silently below him to remove his hood, something alerted him to my presence and he responded in an alarmed manner, knocking my arm away as he turned to face me." Takera explained. "So, was this what broke down the communication then?" Ishizara inquired in the brief moment between explanations.
"His reaction to me was hostile, so I attempted to put him down quietly in the alley before taking my leave. He didn't make that easy at all. I tried to avert his attention and sucker punch him with my full strength, but.. I flinched." Ishizara noted Takera's hesitation. "He staggered back, but regrouped quickly and hit me square in the center of my diaphram with a flat palm loaded with electrical chakra. The point of impact, the force, and the shock together were almost enough to turn my lights out. By some stroke of luck I was able to break free of the shock and react. I rolled backwards full circle onto my feet again and built wind chakra at the back of my throat before launching it at him. He knocked him square across the alley and kicked up dust everywhere between that blew out into the public. It's probably what may or may not have actually started the panic." Takera explained, tacking the coy statement on the end. "That's no easy feet to manifest wind with that kind of force, but it is the most blunt way of using it. Proceed." Ishizara replied. "I thought that surely he'd be just about ready to call it quits and get off my back, but before I could assess an escape route something bright made of his electrical chakra came flying through the dust. It didn't actually do anything aside from becoming blindingly bright suddenly as it came up on me." Takera continued. Shin wasn't kidding. Averus is really something else to keep up despite the age difference. Ishizara thought to himself.
"In the midst of being blinded I could hear him." Takera stated looking down at the table idly as he tried to remember the sensation. "Oh? He came right for you himself as well using this light as a distraction then?" Ishizara inquired. Takera tilted his head just a little to the left. "Not quite.. 'at me'. More like.. above me. He dropped in from above with a kick, but I could hear his thick coat jostling. It was like my ears temporary improved when I lost my sight." Takera stated. "I see. So, your ears compensated for your loss of sight, but how did it help you in those circumstances?" Ishizara inquired. "I was going to have to take the attack no matter what. I couldn't quite pinpoint him, so I loosened up my body and.. sort of rolled with the kick. When it connected it sent me back across the ground, but I was able to adjust my weight with my hips and change the center of gravity to my back. I rolled up with my knees bent and my hands pressing the ground and launched myself back at Averus with the momentum hoping to hit him like he hit me, but in my blindness I couldn't make out details and wound up just kicking him in the chest." Takera sighed. Ishizara arched his brow. "And, how did that work out for you?" Ishizara inquired. "I don't know for certain. It sounded like he toppled over, but I was too busy trying to exit the alley. I found myself face first with a guard and everything fades out from there." Takera stated pushing the chair back and standing up.
Ishizara walked around the table and placed a hand on Takera's shoulder. "And, you're confident everything is true to the best of your knowledge?" Ishizara asked as he stared into Takera's eyes. Takera nodded. "Just because the rest of the world makes a career out of lying doesn't mean that I do." Takera responded. "Alright then. I've got everything I need. You need to behave. I told you-- don't make me regret passing you." Ishizara's hand dropped back to his side. Takera turned away from him not really giving any kind of practical response before making his way to the door and placing his hand on the door handle. He pulled the door open to see the guard from earlier standing beside the door waiting. "There aren't any second chances, Takera... Take care of them." Ishizara called out to Takera. Takera stopped in his tracks, glancing back at Ishizara, his expression becoming minorly solemn. He nodded and exited the room, closing the door behind him.
The guard stepped out from the wall to face Takera as the door clicked shut. "What was that all about?" The guard asked, intrigued. Takera shrugged. "It's nothing you need to concern yourself with. Can we just go already?" Takera remarked impatiently. The guard shrugged and turned to continue walking back to the original interrogation room they had been kept in. On the way through, Takera split from the guy making a B line for the desk with his bag on it, but the guard reached out and grabbed his hand stopping him flat. "Where exactly do you think you're going?" the guard inquired as he let go of Takera's hand and corrected his glasses. Takera pulled his arm free and continued to the desk where he grabbed the strap on the bag and lifted it up right. He opened the bag and felt around inside to see if everything were still as he left it. He breathed easy and slung it over his shoulder before turning around and slowly returning to the guard. "Careful where you put those hands. I might bite." Takera remarked snidely. The man gave a disgruntled expression. "..Yes, well you're not the only one." he fired back. Takera arched a brow as the guard moved on to the door way where his new teamates were. Takera followed in tow as he opened the door and slipped inside to see them both again. He took a few steps inside before the door closed behind him, but as soon as he opened his mouth to speak to them, the clicking noise of the door's lock rang lightly across the empty room. He turned back towards the door striking a confused expression. He took a few steps back to the door and grabbed hold of it. The door handle would no longer turn. He shook the door as best he could, but it didn't budge. At that moment he began to notice incredible small points along the room where smoke was entering the room from the lines that connected to floor and walls, and it was occured all around the room at once. Takera took a quick few steps backwards with his bag in hand. ..What do I do? I don't know what this stuff is made of. If I try to blast it with my wind it'll just scatter about and make things worse. If Averus were to use his lightning and it's volatile, we could be toast. Takera thought to himself before staring down at the floor for a moment, his eyes glancing back and forth as he tried to visualize an answer. What's in this room..? The bench, the walls and floors are stripped.. The ceiling is solid.. The glass! Takera thought to himself. He arched up straight and slung his bag to his front turning towards the reflective glass.
"Quick! The glass!" Takera shouted to the other two as he launched his bag with every ounce of strength he had toward the window. He made a quick few hand signs and drew back his breath deep, extending his chest outwards. "Howling Air Blast!" Takera unleashed the built up air chakra from his lungs in a sudden concentrated burst that hurled on point towards the glass. The bag smacked up against the glass, causing cracks to form, and then directly after impact the blast of wind slammed into the bag with great force, pushing it through and shattering a massive portion of the glass from the center outwards. "GO! GO! GO!" Takera notioned to Averus as he grabbed hold of Shun and slung him over his shoulder. As soon as Averus was through, Takera threw Shun through the center of the glass over the desk and into the other room. Takera stepped through himself onto the desk and over onto the floor only to find the lights were out and the room was empty. He glanced toward the door way and grabbed hold of the door. With a satisfying click and ease of turning, the door pushed open to the outside room. Takera pushed the door open and motioned for the rest to move out past him into the main room.

Averus Ikaru Averus nodded to Shun, then turned his head as Shun’s father came right back into the room to say that they could trust his son, despite the fact that he heard the young man say that he would basically have to do work. When the guard came in and asked for Takera, Averus tilted his head a bit. He crossed his arms as he looked at the guard, then as the door was closed behind them, he walked around the room a little in silence. He looked from Shun to the door, as he felt something was off. They were told they could leave any time, yet they pulled Takera out to have him speak to someone. Averus rubbed his chin in thought, the coolness of the leather being felt against his warm skin. He figured it had to be someone Takera must have known, or at least someone who knows Takera, and that it had to be a shinobi of some rank in the Village. How else would they know Takera was here? The only logical answer that also could be is that, since they both had caused a commotion, it was entirely possible that others in the market must have seen what had happened. Of course, he had no real idea and knew he was just gonna have to wait it out. He walked over to sit down on the bench once more, sighing a little. He tapped his foot on the ground as if to a song that was stuck in his hands, his fingers tapping against his knee as well. He thought about asking Shun some questions about himself, but since there position was a bit too “open” for his liking, he kept his mouth shut until they were out of the shinobi offices.
After some time passed, he looked up to see Takera enter with his bag over his shoulder. He was about to ask him just what was that all about, when he heard the audible click of the lock on the door. He jumped up in surprise, looking between the two, though mostly at Takera as he had no idea what this was about as he watched him try to open the door, but it would not budge. It was then Averus then heard the hiss of smoke starting to pour into the room from several points around the room. He had no idea what the smoke was, but his mind quickly assumed it must have been some kind of poison. No one would set a trap like this and leave the chance for normal smoke to suffocate the intended target. He took a quick breath and held it, his eyes having a glean of panic in them. Memories he had from long ago began to crawl into the front of his mind, reminding him of a situation he was in before….
---
It was years ago, when Averus was just ten years old. Even at this age his father was already using him for experiments. At this point, he had several track wounds all over his arms from the injection of several kinds of serums, poisons, and even ground mineral cocktails. This was then followed up by experimental poultices, all of which Averus had to endure as well as living a lie in the life of a young boy who was being taught at home by his father and “mother”. Mother was not really the word, as she was his father's assistant to his research. It was this person that was leading him down a small hallway that was part of the underground tunnels under his home, several dark stone doors with several locks all over them. Dark circles were under his eyes, as the last run of experiments had been keeping him awake. He had no real understanding of what his father had used on him this time, but it must have been something to see how long it could keep him awake. Because of it, he was also on pain killers as Averus had a long run of headaches since the last injections.
His “mother” brought him to a particular door, one he had not seen before. It had a small symbol of a star on it, with an eye over it. He had not real idea what it was, but the assistant told him to enter, and he already knew that it was a good idea to do as he was told. The woman opened the door for him, and he walked in. Averus found himself standing in a large room, and he saw what looked like several boxes and cages around. The walls were polished stone, and the ground was the same. The ceiling was also the same, but there was three large pipes that were sticking out, with holes at the ends of it. Averus had no real idea what this was about, but he quickly turned around when he heard the door slam shut, and there was several clicks as the locks were put into place.
A moment later, there was a light coming from above, and he heard his fathers voice over a speak. “You must survive, my son. This will be a test for how long you can last.” Then there was a click as the speaker was turned off, and a loud hissing came from above him. Averus looked up, and saw a purple mist starting to slowly lower into the room from the three pipes. A deep cloud of what would be most likely poison started to lower toward the ground, and Averus had no real idea what he had to do. He quickly moved his shirt over his mouth, hoping to filter out the poison till he could figure out how he was supposed to survive.
The only thing that was coming to his mind was how much he hated his father, how he could do this to his only son. Averus ran over to a corner of the room, looking through the various sizes of cardboard boxes that were around the room, searching through the open cages for any item that would help him. Outside of dust, a few dead bugs, and a now suffocating rat, there was nothing that was gonna help him. The cloud was now only a foot or two away from the ground. Averus laid on his stomach, taking a deep breath as the cloud of death creeped lower and lower. He stopped crawling to focus on holding his breath, rolling onto his back as he closed his eyes shut. He shook as he was holding his breath as the cloud touched him, and finally hit the bare stone floor of the room. It felt almost like it was a soft rain, running over the bridge of his nose and running down his cheeks to his ears, like purple tears. There was almost a slight sting to the mist, and after what felt like a decade, Averus couldn’t hold on anymore. He opened his mouth, and took a deep long breath for air. What he got was pain that he arched his back from, his muscles straining suddenly as his lungs stung from invisible needles that were inside him. He shook more, gasping for more air only for the poison to envelop his lungs even faster.
Eventually he had passed out, no longer aware of what was going on as his body went limp. He later felt a sting in his arms, and a rebreather over his mouth. His father knelt next to him, a needle that was empty now in his hands. He wore goggles and a mask of his own, the mist still present in the room, though it had dissipated.
“You survived for two minutes and thirteen seconds once the poison filled the room. I had hoped for three minutes. Oh well, we will try again tommorow…”
---
Averus looked back to the present, shaking his head as he looked at Takera, who seemed to be looking at various parts of the room. Seeing the glass, Averus had the same idea as Takera used his jutsu to blow the glass out, as he held an arm up to block the pieces from possibly hitting him. Moving quickly, Averus jumped through the opening that his new comrade had opened for them, making sure Shun was alright once he had been tossed into the other room. Once there were inside the slightly dark room, Averus looked back at the smoke, then to Takera as he clicked open the door to look outside. He approached to put his back to the wall behind Takera
“Do you see anything?” Averus asked him as he turned to Shun to see what he was doing at the moment, before looking back. Whomever was attacking them did so by possibly infiltrating the office of Shinobi, which either meant there was an unknown enemy attacking them, or perhaps a shinobi who had a grudge against one of them, or maybe all of them. He had no idea if that would be true, as their group had just formed mere moments ago.

Ice blue eyes glanced back and forth just a bit once things seemed relatively quiet, the male starting to wonder what exactly their plan was. He felt that things were much more awkward than they had been previously, this was especially true when his father stepped back into the room and told the two that they could trust him. He wondered if it was his father’s intention to sow seeds of discord between them or if there was something more to it in the end. He knew Kiyoshi was of the crafty sort, but was not entirely sure how any of the other guards were or what their plan was for them. Everything seemed all too convenient, every piece falling into place one by one as if they were being guided by a steady hand. Shun shook his head and let out a light sigh, leaning back against the wall he had previously crashed into and crossed both arms over his chest. If it was the goal of their teachers to insight chaos to drive them closer to one another, then he wondered what they would do if they if their plan failed in the end. He was more than sure that doubt danced in the confines of his new teammates minds, which something in the back of his own mind told him that he would have to work to truly gain their trust. This was not an entirely new concept to him as it was instilled in his being to always be wary of other ninja. He knew that if they did not learn to trust each other in the future it would cause more problems between them, possibly causing them to splinter and break away from one another - this was a troublesome future he had hoped to avoid even though he knew trouble would always be waiting around the corner. Shun raised an eyebrow the moment the door opened again, wondering what was going to happen next. Typically they would not have let them stay in an interrogation room especially because they were not being interrogated, but figured the other two had been previously. The young shinobi surmised that they were coming in to make them leave so they could use the room for another prisoner, but when the guard called for the eldest Shinobi he began to calculate the situation further. His eyes focused on the guard then shifted over to Takera the moment he stepped out of the room and the door closed behind him. The youngest of the Ishikawa clan closed both of his eyes, wondering why all of a sudden that Takera was being pulled out of the room. He was almost certain that they were no longer interrogating either of his fellow teammates, especially considering they threw him into the mix. Did Takera do something that none of us were aware of or was there something more to it? This made him have far too many questions, questions he he hoped would be answered once they were released from their apparent imprisonment. He shot a glance over to Averus, watching him walk over to the bench and sit down as he stepped away from the wall. He began to count every tap that Averus’ foot made against the concrete floor, keeping part of his mind preoccupied as he stepped toward the door. A gloved hand wrapped around the handle as he pushed and pulled on the door with all of his might. The door opened slowly, just enough to see a guard staring back at him with a rather sour expression. ”Where are you going? Shun stared over at the guard, looking up at him. ”I thought we could wait out here for Takera instead of in this room… in case you need it for an interrogation. The guard seemed almost annoyed as he pushed Shun backwards into the room. ”You aren’t allowed to leave yet… wait until your other teammate gets back.” It was then he was met with the door being slammed on his face and it made Shun even more suspicious than before. Something was going on and he had a feeling he was not going to be very happy with the results behind it. “It would seem… we are needed here longer than originally thought.” Shun concluded as he shifted his gaze over to the reflective glass pane that was set into the wall. Slowly he began to walk over toward the pane and stopped in front of it, staring into it as if he were attempting to look beyond it. The shinobi knew that only someone the other side of the glass could see him and it made him wonder just who was watching them. Both of his arms came to rest behind his back as he laid his head against the glass, focusing even harder. It was there Shun pointed to the ground right in front of Averus, wondering if his teammate would see what was going on below him. “When we are finally let go… There is a small training ground we can go to on the west side of the village. Usually other genin and academy students go to practice when they do not have studies at the Academy. We can head there as soon as Takera is back and they let us go.”It was during this time that Shun was speaking another message to Averus was being etched in water at the older ninja’s feet. North side of the village. BBQ. I will make sure they follow ‘us’ through the southern gate. Shun had manipulated his chakra to form the message out of water, making it as small as he possibly could but still legible for Averus to read without anyone else who was watching them to notice it but also so it would evaporate rather quickly. Shun had hoped Averus had a similar idea to not want to be followed or talk too much while they were possibly being watched and eventually followed to where they would discuss their future. He learned to always assume that someone was watching you or following you, which led him to learn about how to properly lose people in crowds or alleyways without much of an issue. It was also useful when he learned to utilize clones in order to confuse his anyone following him; Kiyoshi and Yazanagi spent a fair amount of time teaching Shun how to summon a clone and use it to his advantage. This made him begin to recall the time he was able to figure out what his elemental affinity was and how to properly use it in a teaching exercise his mother and sensei were planning while Kiyoshi was away. Those memories of that time ht him like a sack of bricks, one by one as they fell in place… ------ Shun had just barely entered his teenage years at thirteen, beginning his second year at the Academy despite most people thinking he would graduate in his first year except he lacked the discipline to fully apply himself - a possible liability to a team Shun would be assigned, which forced Yazanagi to hold him back. This was the one time he had spent quite a lot of time with Yukiko since Kiyoshi had been dispatched by the Raikage to the Land of Fire for a week in order to work together with the ninja of Konohagakure in order to take an S-Class criminal down from the Land of Lightning. Kiyoshi had been chosen because he was the one who knew the criminal best having fought him numerous times but was never able to capture him. Yukiko awoke early one morning and fully dressed in her ninja garb, something very similar to what she wore originally when Shun met her. She walked into her son’s bedroom and shook him awake. ”Shun, honey, wake up… we’re gonna go train ok?” Shun groaned rather loudly, trying to pull the blanket back over his head and go back to bed before he felt himself fly out of bed and fall immediately onto the floor with a ‘thud’. ”Ouch! Okay okay! Sorry… I will get up, mother..”Yukiko only smiled and stepped out of the room, letting Shun get dressed while she prepared food for them. She had not told Shun that his teacher, Yazanagi, was going to be coming along with them in order to provide assistance and she felt his Earth affinity might be useful if it started to rain. Shun was slowly pulling on his clothing, nothing really changing to his current attire except for the ninja band he was now wearing. Once he was dressed and packed with a few of the essentials, he stepped out of his room and walked down the hall to see Yukiko standing there waiting for him. ”Thank you for deciding to allow me to train you, Shun.” Shun smiled and nodded. ”Well, I mean… we have not really had a chance to do anything as mother and son… and… and… I have always been curious about you being a ninja.. I mean… you were there… back at my village… but I..”He immediately felt her arms wrapped around his frame, holding him close in a comforting and motherly way while she stroked a hand down his back. “Don’t you worry about it. You get to see your momma in action!” She beamed a soft smile down at him before pulling back and tossing him the pack of supplies she had put together. He grabbed the pack and slung it over a shoulder as they headed out toward the southern gate of the village. That was when he saw Yazanagi and looked over at his mother and before he could even get a word in she answered his question. “He’s coming along to help supervise your training and make sure you don’t cheat!” Shun shifted his gaze to the side, grumbling to himself. All three of them took off far into Lightning Country to a small clearing with various rivers all entwining together; not that far from where they were various hot springs were scattered around. This was where Yukiko decided to make camp and to begin their training session. Yazanagi errected a rather large stone barrier overhead of them, providing ample covering from any rain that would begin to fall down and also raised three large stones from the ground into places for them to sit. His teacher would sit on the largest one, smoking a pipe while watching around them while poking holes through the barrier to allow sunlight to filter in and light up their training domain. Both Yukiko and Shun sat on the other stones facing each other, even though Shun was watching the flowing river behind his mother. ”We don’t have a lot of time until Yoshi gets back and I wanted to surprise him, so I want you to work really hard to master what I’m going to teach you.” Shun just nodded, not entirely sure what to say exactly; he had no real way to not work hard… mostly due to Yazanagi watching his every move. ”I know you were taught about the different types of nature transformations, but I don’t think you you ever found out what your affinity your chakra leans towards… you see shinobi have an easier time learning to to create and control a chakra nature that matches their affinity… so before we begin, let’s find out what your affinity is.”Shun tilted his head a little and looked to his mother; he had been taught most of this by Yazanagi or read it in the various textbooks they had purchased for him. ”Er… how are we going to do that? It cannot be that easy… can it?” Yukiko just smiled and pulled small pieces of paper out from a pouch on her vest and held one out to Shun who took it. He just looked at the paper and seemed rather confused. ”That is what we call Chakra Induction Paper, it’s made from a special type of tree that’s grown and nurtured with Chakra. When you expose your Chakra to the paper, it reacts according to the latent element within the Chakra itself.Yukiko held a piece of the paper in front of her and closed her eyes for just a moment and in that moment the paper became damp. This means my affinity is for Water, but I’ve also mastered Wind too… anyway, you see if your chakra ignites and turns to ash it means you’re attuned to fire… wind makes it split into two, lightning will make the paper wrinkle up… earth will turn to dirt and crumble away and well, you see water makes it become wet… go ahead and find out what your affinity is.”Shun just nodded, taking every word she heart and to memory as he closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and began to concentrate his chakra into the paper; it was almost instant and the paper became soaked. Shun stared at the paper, looking over to Yukiko who smiled while he heard Yazanagi snicker from atop his post. ”Water! Seems like we are the same.” Yukiko just nodded with a smile, putting the other pieces of the paper back into the pocket she originally withdrew them from. ”Now I know you learned about clones and how to make them…since you used them to always skip out on class… but what I want you to learn is infuse water into the clone and create a water clone… except you have to learn how to create your own water from your chakra. You can’t use any of the water that is around us.” Shun could almost feel her glaring at him when she mentioned him skipping out of class using his clones. It was when she said that he would have to learn to manipulate his chakra into water without using the water around him, he felt quite a bit overwhelmed. He had never done anything like that before and the thought made him uneasy. ”Don’t you hesitate now… you are my best student, you can do this.”Shun turned his head up to Yazanagi, having never heard him compliment or admit that he was his ‘best student’. He turned his attention back to his mother when she began to speak again. I’ll teach you how to create a water clone…” She stood up and dusted herself off, then hopped down from her sitting location. The female stretched her arms out before bringing them together to make the ‘Tiger’ sign, then shouted loudly. ”Water Clone Jutsu!” Behind her four clones of water massed into a perfect copy of his mother and she made them copy her movements as she waved. Just a moment later she released the clones as they dispersed into pools of water where they once stood. ”This might be too hard for you to do… it takes a higher ability to create the water outside of the body than to manipulate what is already available… think you can do this?”Shun slipped off of the platform and stood before his mother with a rather serious expression on his face. ”Yeah.. I will not stop until I can successfully make a water clone.” Yukiko sat herself back down on the platform she was sitting on and watched while Shun proceeded to begin the training session. Despite saying that he was sure he could do it, he truly was not entirely sure he could complete the task in the time before Kiyoshi returned home. He had remembered reading that it could take months to be able to successfully manipulate their chakra in such a way, but knew of some ways to learn them faster… except he had no access to any of it. Shun had closed his eyes and brought his hands together, tapping into his Chakra and began to attempt to manipulate it. To his dismay he continually failed over and over again, barely even able to to make a small puddle of water beside him over the course of three days. Shun spent so much time day after day attempting to craft his Chakra into water, he even attempted to fool his mother and Yazanagi by pulling a small amount of water from the river nearby into a clone. It would have possibly fooled them except Yazanagi noticed a small line of wet earth leading from the river over besides Shun and he had to start all over again. It was at this point that Yazanagi proposed an idea. ”Yukiko… we have three days left until we have to head back… I brought a case of soldier pills with me that I could give to him. It would refuel himself and his Chakra reserves enough to keep him going for three days… he could work without an issue for three days.” Yukiko shook her head, signaling ‘no’ to Yazanagi. ”No.. I don’t want Shun to have to take a stimulant. He needs to be able to do this on his own.”Shun overheard them talking and stopped his current attempt, turning to look over at them. He knew that it would most likely give him the edge he needed in order to succeed with his goal. The young ninja did not want to waste the time of his mother and Yazanagi to have dragged him all the way out here with nothing to show for it. ”Mother… let me take the pill. I want to master this as fast as I can… it would give me the next 72 hours to master it. Please. Yukiko sighed when even Shun pleaded with her to allow him to take the medication, knowing that he would most likely would be able to master it. She just did not want him to have to deal with the side effects of those pills despite realizing that he seems to always display those symptoms. She eventually agreed with Shun and Yazanagi gave Shun a single soldier pill, which he took and almost immediately felt the effects starting to replenish his chakra. It was now over the course of the next three days that Shun pushed himself the hardest, focusing and attempting to make a water clone. Every time he seemed to get closer and closer, staying awake without a single wink of sleep or an attempt to skirt his duties. The shinobi came to the conclusion that he would rather take the time to master the jutsu instead of mess around because he knew that he would be forced to continue training until this ability was mastered when they returned to the village. In his mind he figured if he mastered it they would leave him to his own devices so he decided to put forth the effort. It was on the third day that Shun was finally feeling the effects of the soldier pill he was given, it was taking a toll on his body to even stay awake. He forced himself as he pooled what remaining Chakra he could muster and made the hand sign. ”Water Clone… Ju… Jut… Juts… Jutsu…” Before he could even see the results of his training the male started to fall forward with Yazanagi catching him and fell unconscious. Both Yukiko and Yazanagi looked besides where he was standing, staring at three clones with two almost perfect and the third one with a few slight distortions. ”Heh… kid did it.”Yukiko smiled and clapped her hands together as she watched the clones dispurse into pools of water to be absorbed by the earth as Yazanagi lifted Shun onto his shoulder. She took the bag of their supplies and the three of them headed back to Kumogakure, Shun sleeping soundly on his teacher’s shoulder. The guards greeted them as they passed through the gate, one of them laughing when he saw Shun, who they nicknamed the ‘Sleeping Nin’, sleeping. Yukiko led Yazanagi into her home where Kiyoshi was waiting for them, sitting at the table with a book in hand. Kiyoshi slipped Shun from Yazanagi and carried him off into his bedroom, putting the child to bed as Yazanagi said his farewell to Yukiko. It was a rather impressive feat to have overseen his pupil, knowing the hard work that Shun had put in would without a doubt to grow into one of the finest ninja in Kumogakure. Once Shun was tucked into bed and Yukiko had unpacked everything she and Kiyoshi sat down together to discuss the events that transpired while Kiyoshi was gone. ”Shun learned how to create a water clone… manipulation of his Chakra could be a little better, but for doing what he did in a week was impressive.” She smiled, but also seemed a little sad when she started talking about it. Kiyoshi looked over to Yukiko, taking her hand into his and smiled at her. He had a feeling he knew why she seemed sad especially seeing how exhausted Shun was when he took him from Yazanagi. ”You did a great job, honey… Shun is the kind of kid who will do everything possible to learn everything even if that means taking one of Yazanagi’s soldier pills. He’s probably so happy right now.”It was during this time that Shun had woken up, realizing slowly that he must have passed out from the effects of the pill and he was brought back home. He heard some voices coming from down the hallway and carefully stepped out of bed, being careful to hold onto a nearby chair to keep himself balanced as he walked over to his door and barely cracked it open. That was when he heard about Yukiko’s thoughts and was about to say something when Kiyoshi had. Mother… thank you. Shun closed his door and smiled, turning back around and dragged himself back to bed where he passed back out for a few days. --- Shun’s focus shifted over to Takera when he walked back into the room, stepping away from the glass pane and moved slowly to the center of the room. ”Takera, follow close to Averus when they let us g--” He knew he did not have time to tell Takera their plan, pending Averus saw it, especially if he did not want to give away where they were truly going. It was only in the moment he heard the click of the lock that he almost immediately knew that they were not going to be going anywhere anytime soon. His blue eyes watched Takera attempt to open the door and then when smoke began to flood the room back in his mind he knew what was happening. This was one of the ‘security measures’ they took if a prisoner in interrogation was being rather rowdy with the smoke being a kind of paralytic sleeping gas. He knew the general make of the gas itself, but also knew Kiyoshi would not make it that easy. It was in a singular moment for him everything seemed to happen at once when he watched Takera make the link to the glass pane as he launched his bag and broke it. He was about to launch himself through it before he felt Takera grab him and pull him over his shoulder. I AM NOT A SACK YOU CAN JUST THROW AROUND. Shun screamed in his own head until he realized that he was now being thrown into the room. Almost immediately his hands reacted as he expelled a large amount of water from his mouth, making the sign for ‘Tiger.’ ”Water Clone Jutsu!” Shun shouted and a clone arose from the water he had expelled to catch him. He waved Averus offer, assuring him that he was fine as his clone set his master down and just seemed to watch them. Shun looked into the other room where the smoke continued to bellow through. ”We need to go. Now or else we will be paralyzed.” Soon enough the smoke would fill the room they were in and all three of them would be in trouble. Shun knelt down low along with his clone, moving slowly past Takera and Averus with both him and the clone looking around the main room on opposite sides. He saw everything but also nothing at all; there was no one in the room, they were all alone. Something definitely was not right as Shun continued a little slower. Two guards had entered the room from a southern hallway, not noticing either Shun or his clone both snuck up behind each of the guards. In a matter of seconds Shun put his guard into a headlock, forcing him onto the ground while his clone covered a watery hand over the mouth and nose of the second guard to drown him to the point he would pass out yet not die. It took a little bit longer for the target Shun had held in a headlock to black out but once he had, he made sure there were not any other guards coming. “All right… come on; Takera, Averus.” Shun called out to the two members of his team. “The coast is clear.” The ninja released his clone, having it turn back into a puddle of water as he started to assess the situation. Taking out these guards seemed easy, almost too easy - he was not entirely sure if this was some grand scheme of their respective teachers or if someone was attacking the trio. He was mostly convinced it was the former, especially with how things seemed to him. ”We should move slowly until we get to the exit… I am not sure what exactly is going on, but… let us try not to kill anyone we come across. I will take point.””This is too surreal… where are all of the guards… there should be more than the two I took out.” Shun began to slowly move through the building, making sure that Averus and Takera were keeping up with him. He would move ahead of them and scout the next room, not seeing anything no matter how many rooms they came across until they reached the entrance area. Almost immediately he spied three shinobi in the room, standing guard at the entrance to the office itself. All three of the ninja were not wearing headbands or indicating what village they were from, even their clothing was relatively different than anything one could find in Kumogakure. Shun snuck back over to Takera and Averus, shifting a gaze behind him for a moment before facing them. ”All right… I count three more ninja in the entrance hall and I cannot seem to be able to locate anyone else… it should not be very hard to take them out.. We can secure the entrance and figure out what to do from there. He would pull a kunai out from coat and quietly carve a rough sketch of the floor plan into the ground in front of Takera and Averus while marking where the three guards are. ”If you guys want to take out the two guards by the entrance, I can get the one on the far side of the room… after we have taken care of them, we should try to find out what is going on or alert the Raikage.”Once all three of them finished their discussion he would head back into the entrance hall, confirming that the unknown shinobi were still gathered in the locations he had specified previously. Shun signaled to both Averus and Takera to move forward and get into position and one after the other they all would move on their respective targets. A whistle would be the signal for all three of them to move on their targets and take them out simultaneously. This would provide the best result as it would not give them a chance to call for backup or go to assist one of their fellow nin. Shun quietly snuck around behind a desk, dashing behind a wall and stood there pressed against it. He peaked out from behind it for a moment, looking at his target and noticed that his back was turned to him. Carefully he flipped the kunai he had been holding previously in his hand, going to use the ringed end and a strong enough driving force to knock the guard out. Shun took a deep breath, slowly exhaling as he calmed himself down and remembered the training that Kiyoshi had given him. A moment later he would whistle just loud enough for Takera and Averus to move as he moved himself, quickly rocketing himself from his location and onto the wall his target was facing, then ricochet his body straight for them. That was when suddenly Shun remembered the building they were in and how Kiyoshi made him memorize the entryway into it until he could recall every detail from memory. The wall his target was facing? There was suppose to be an entrance to a hallway that lead down into varying holding cells. Unfortunately for him it was too late to stop their actions as he came upon his target, swinging his arm down toward their head. He was met immediately with the palm of of the ninja butting against his kunai and then felt the entirety of their other hand gripping the collar of his jacket and slammed him down against the ground with enough force one might assume his ribs would break. ”Ack.. Gaah… erk… Kiyo..”The ninja was now sitting on Shun with his legs crossed, having bound both of his child’s arms behind their back. On his finger was mis mask that was spinning on a single finger, in one point while a grin crossed over his lips. ”You all passed.” Kiyoshi would hop up, grabbing Shun by the collar and bringing him to his feet. ”I guess this means your doubts were unfounded, eh Ishizara-san?” Kiyoshi would set his mask onto his head at an angle, no longer covering his face while walking along with Shun to the remainder of the group.

Takera glanced out to the room ahead of them as Shun rebounded with a clone. Averus had fallen into line just behind Takera, but before any further communication was to be had Shun and his clone flew out into the main room. Takera watched the area around him carefully. He noticed two figures moving in towards Shun. Just then Averus inquired "What do you see?" However, Takera had already begun taking a few steps around the edge of the door way trying to get a better view of what Shun had been doing. What is he thinking..? Takera thought to himself. It seemed as if he planned to take the guards head on. "Shun!" Takera tried to reach out to the boy without raising his voice. It was too little, too late. He made quick work of the two guards and muttered something back to Takera before he hurried off down the hall.
Takera looked across the room at the two guards indisposed on the floor for a moment. The repercussions for taking action against the guards could be substantial and there wasn't any hesitation at all from Shun. Takera looked back at Averus and signalled with his index and middle finger together to 'follow'. Takera took a few light steps towards the direction of the hall way. As he got up beside the guards. Takera was looking out down the hall way, but something caught his eye in the moment. Takera's head tilted as his eyes shot down to the faces of the guard's laying out on the floor beside him. His visual prowess was unusually high, which allowed him to catch the sudden movement. It went by extremely fast, but Takera was certain that the guard's eyes were actually open and staring at him. I don't like this. Something is not right about this picture. Takera thought to himself. He couldn't quite feel at ease about the situation. He turned back to Averus and notioned his hand gently, out of the guards' sight, over his lips to signal the need for silence. He waved with his hand as he quickly passed the guards, keeping them on the edge of his peripherals as they advanced forward.
Once they were safely away from the two laying down Takera slowed to a stop and glanced back taking a concentrated look down the hall. It was all clear for them to speak. Takera glanced back to their front to notice Shun in the distance. He was keeping a steady eye on them as he progressed. Takera turned back to Averus and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm gonna split up here. It's up to you how you proceed, but that nifty little sensory trick you used before might be useful." Takera noted before his eyes glanced up and over along the ceiling. He could make out lines where the ceiling plates met. He took a few steps over below just the right spot and pulled his hand up towards his face in the form of a gun with his index finger and thumb out. Takera steadied his breathing for the second in which he began to look past the tip of his finger. The exhale was smooth, but forceful. A transparent strand of wind moved from his breath and warped into the spiraling orb at the tip of his finger. He stepped back with his left leg and raised the hand toward the ceiling. Closing one eye, he took aim and then released, his thumb coming forward over the side of his index finger. The spiraling orb jettisoned forth and smacked into the ceiling plate causing it to bounce up and just barely flip over onto another ceiling plate. Takera kneeled down and then lept straight up, grabbing hold of the opening's edge and pulled himself up and above the ceiling level. Taking advantage of the momentary mild lighting he glanced around inside the roof to be sure all his bases were covered. "See you at the end." Takera remarked to Averus before he slid the ceiling piece back into place.
Takera began to scurry in a low crouch along the ceiling down the hall way towards Shun. It was hard to adjust his eyes to the steep darkness, but every once in a while a very mellow light will make it's way in through tiny cracks between the ceiling tiles. It also helped that there were beams of cement and wood that ran parallel to him, one on each side of him. Takera began to hear something feint and proceeded a little quieter. He picked up on Shun's hasty tracks, but just then they came to a stop. Very little movement could be heard. Takera crawled up very slowly to the point just overhead and slowly slid back the plate enough to see through the cracks. Just below him was Shun and he was looking back in Averus's direction. Takera slid the plate a little further open and tapped on it to draw Shun's attention up to him as a means of letting the others know he was there. Shun began to draw something from memory onto the floor. It seemed as if the boy had actually paid this place a visit or two as he began to give an idea of where the exit was. Just ahead of them was an open room and the entrance was on the other side. Takera knocked once more before closing up the opening and continuing on.
Finally they had reached the main room. Everything is.. quiet. Too quiet. Takera thought to himself. Just at the lapse of his thought he felt something snagging at his ankle. He immediately kicked off of it with his other foot flipping around to try to make out what it was. It was just dark enough that while he could tell it was a person, he couldn't quite make out any specific detail. Just then he heard a series of low noises followed by a sudden 'THUD'. Someone below began to speak, but the only word he could make out was 'Ishizara'. It dawned on him at that point that he might be in more peril than he once thought. He wriggled his legs, but the figure grabbed hold on his other ankle amidst the distraction. At that moment Takera perked up as he heard a creak and felt a light drop about an inch down. His eyes widened as he looked down towards the caving panel. He glanced back up only to find that the one who had him was actually Ishizara sensei. Ishizara merely smirked as he stared into Takera's eyes. "Checkmate" Ishizara exclaimed. Takera could feel the panel slipping and all at once it gave in. Takera fell straight through and crashed down atop a desk caked in office supplies just below him.
"HNNG!" Takera exclaimed in pain as he arched his back and hopped up slightly before coming back down on the desk. He laid there for a brief moment staring at Ishizara, who was now staring down at him from the ceiling just letting his arms drape down. His face had a nuetral expression. Takera rolled over onto his side really painstakingly slow as he groaned. Misjudging the distance to the edge he slid side ways right off the edge of the desk and landed on the floor with another 'THUD'. He continued rolling over onto his chest to get off of his newly aching arm / side. He sort of just laid there a brief moment before he reached back to his lower back with his good arm. He began to brush loose rough items that clung to him painfully when he impacted the desk. "UGH... Office Supplies... my only weakness." Takera groaned before lifting himself off the floor and reaching a full stand. He brushed himself off as Ishizara dropped down behind him. Immediately he flipped back around with arms raised, but Ishizara caught the closest wrist with his open palm. Takera glanced back to notice Shun now pinned to the floor and his father sitting atop him twirling a mask on his finger and carrying a wide grin. Takera's eyes returned to meet Ishizara's. "Busted..?" Takera said with a hint of confusion.
"No. Actually, you all have done quite well for yourselves. I'd say you all did well enough to pass." Ishizara announced. Takera's head moved back some as his eyes widened. "Passed? ..This was some kind of test?" Takera remarked, lowering his arms back to his side. "I think you enjoyed this more than you're letting on." Takera chimed in with a bit of wit as he shot Ishizara a skeptical, yet confused, look. Ishizara merely chuckled lightly. "The Hidden Cloud would have perished long ago if we hunted our most promising students like live stock for sport." Ishizara remarked. A sweatdrop rolled down from the left side of Takera's face to his jaw line. He shook his head. "That's some oddly specific and rather grim humor you've got there." Takera responded. Ishizara shrugged before a grin spread across his lips. Takera's eyes widened some as he could feel a strange sense of pressure exuding from Ishizara in that moment. He remained silent as he stared.

Averus Ikaru Averus tilted his head as Takera was silent, as he was getting concerned after Shun suddenly moved into the next room with a water clone. Hearing a muffled commotion from the other room, Averus began to worry just what was happening when Takera motioned for him to follow into the room. He nodded, taking careful steps to not make any noise as he walked slowly behind his comrade. Seeing the two guards that were not on the ground, his eyes went a bit wide. They were trained shinobi, more than likely more skilled than the three were, yet here they laid on the ground. He turned his head toward Takera, and noted the unsettled mood he seemed to be in as he too looked at the guards that were on the ground. Something indeed felt off for Averus as well, as he looked around the room. He felt his eye began to twitch a little, and his hand went automatically up to rub it. He was just about to ask where Shun had gone off to when Takera motioned for silence, before walking away from the fallen guards.
Averus nodded, slowly creeping his way through the offices with Takera in front of him. He kept his gaze forward, but turned his head when he thought he spotted movement in the darker halls of the building. Something felt off, as this place would normally be filled with shinobi who were either working on paperwork, or preparing for a mission, yet it felt eerily silent throughout the whole place. Again, his eye itched more and he placed his palm over it. Like with Takera, his eye began to change when he looked toward a certain direction, almost as if it was trying to tell him something. Some days, he cursed this eye as he still had no real idea what it could do, and drove him mad with the slight annoyance of pain. Yet, he learned long ago to trust it when a situation of interest or curiosity happened upon him.
Keeping his senses open for anything, he looked to Takera as he watched him pop a ceiling tile open with a small amount of his wind chakra, jumping up and slipping inside before he put the tile back on. He looked toward where they had seen Shun, then took the advice Takera had mentioned before. Doing some quick signs, he used the sensory jutsu he had used before to see if he could get any kind of reading around the area. What he felt was like ghosts skirting the back of his neck, a chill running down his spine as he got fleeting feelings of someone or something moving around, yet kept itself just at the edge of the jutsu. Averus turned his head around again, and put his hands at his sides. His black eye was active now, moments of itching coming as he looked around the room. Now that feeling of something being off was returning to the front of his mind.
Averus turned his attention toward the room they were in, and moved slowly toward the sounds he could hear above him, as well as in front of him. If he was by himself in this place, he probably would have just stayed back in the room they were in before and set some kind of defense up, but he was glad Shun and Takera were here as well. Averus was still rather surprised with how well Shun was moving along the rooms and hallways, as if he had been here numerous times beforehand. His skill was quite interesting, and he was looking forward to learning more about the mysterious young man.
Takera was as he figured, skilled and thoughtful to the current situation. Then again, he had learned that during their confrontation back in the marketplace. Yet another interesting character he had met recently, and now they were all on a team. He smirked to himself, as earlier he had assumed he would be a loner in the village the whole way toward whatever goal he had thought of. Now he was working together with these two as they moved through the building.
Doing what he could to keep his eyes open for anything else that was out of place, Averus kept his pace. It was when he looked at a particular section of wall, did his eye begin to fade with the pain, yet it focused on that spot. Moving slowly along the other ways and keeping his body hidden behind some boxes, he focused on the wall more with a combination of his eye and jutsu. Someone was hiding there, he was sure of it. His jutsu could feel the slightly movement there, the movement of someone's chest as it rose and fell from the small amount of breathing they were exerting. Averus creeped closer toward the wall, gritting his teeth a bit. His eye focused more on the wall, and he could now see the slight creasing of some kind of sheet over the section of wall. Now he was sure someone was hiding there, but he was unsure if the person behind that sheet could see him or not. If so, then his cover was basically pointless as this unknown shinobi had the advantage over him. Averus thought through the various outcomes in his head as fast as he could, thinking of just either rushing the person and catching them in surprise, or using his jutsu to more silently take them out.
Going with the latter, he moved his hands in a few more hand signs before he aimed his hand toward the wall. A small, needle sized amount of lightning formed, making a small crackling sound before firing toward where Averus assumed the chest was of the person under the sheet. As soon as it landed, he jumped forward to grab the person by their face, seeing it outlined as they fell forward. Catching them easily with no real sound made, Averus smirked as he laid them on the floor. It was then he felt his eye itch more, and gritting his teeth, he had to see what it was about as he pulled the sheet back. His eyes went wide as he saw what appeared to be Shyn, his former master looking right at him. Yet, something was rather off, and in an obvious way. Shyn’s face was stuck with a wink on his face and a smile, and written on his forward was the words “Fooled you~”.
Averus then felt his sensory jutsu flare up, and he quickly stood and turned on his heel. He raised his arm up to block a kick that had been aimed right at him, and he saw the real Shyn looking at him. “Oh, impressive. Didn’t think you’d block that. Well...I did set something up in case you had” Shyn winked at him, as Averus looked down at the fake Shyn, which puffed into smoke. Then he turned his head back to the leg he had caught, and noticed something. There at the heel, he saw a small explosive note, and that Shyn’s leg was more covered and protected. Shyn flicked his fingers and the note turned into light before an audible pop came as heat flashed against his face, and Averus went flying toward the boxes he had been hiding behind. The explosive note wasn’t powerful enough to hurt him, but it was meant to knock him onto his butt. Averus huffed as he went to sit up, before Shyn planted his boot against his chest.
“A good display while it lasted, but if you listen you’ll hear your comrades have all been duped as well. To be honest, I thought that a group shoved together at the last minute wouldn’t pass, but you all get an A for effort. “What...what are you talking about? This was...some kind of test?” “Yep, and you all passed, though of course with notes about what you should and should not have done, but a pass none the less~” Shyn took his boot off of Averus’ chest, and then held a hand out to help his former student up. Averus hesitated for a moment, before he took it, and was soon lifted to his feet.
Shyn chuckled a little, then motioned for Averus to follow as they went to see the others.

Shun was now looking over to Takera and Ishizara in their exchange, noting the specific expression the elder man had used. Hunting… He immediately brought a hand to his head, wincing in pain just slightly as it ran through his entire body; it was as if that word triggered something within him, but he could not figure out what. Nothing of his past would be remembered… could be remembered, it made no sense to him in that regard. He was but a baby when he was found on the doorstep of the elder who had raised him for a fair majority of his life. It was not very clear to him why all of a sudden that he would start to feel something from that time or even if it was from then. The boy shook it off himself, but noticed out of the corner of his eye that Kiyoshi had noticed something was going on. He did not seem to move to inquire with him what was the problem, knowing Shun would tell him if he wished it. Shun made eye contact with Takera for a moment before he came to notice Averus and his teacher arriving on scene to join them. Both of his eyes danced around to the other two men he was unfamiliar with, calculating and committing various things about them to his memory if he needed them for future reference. Now that they were not in any actual danger or nothing was coming after them Shun sighed just to himself. Part of him was tired of the running around, he actually wanted to move forward with their journey even though he was not entirely sure where that would lead to. Shun turned and bowed to each of the older men, telling each of them ‘Thank you’ before he stepped over to the entrance. He looked over to Takera and Averus, signaling to them it was time to go. The boy crossed his arms, secretly making the hand sign of a ‘Tiger’ as he whispered to himself. ”Water Clone Jutsu…” It was then three clones appeared outside of the building, one a copy of himself and the other two disguised as Takera and Averus. He had them hide in a thick blanket of fog that was currently surrounding the office they were located in. It was one he had spent much of his time in as it served as the policing force and Anbu headquarters for Kumogakure. Once Takera and Averus said their farewells and joined beside him, the trio stepped out of the building and into the thick blanket of fog. Once they entered Shun switched places with the clone he had hidden previously and split them both going opposite ways of one another without even realizing it at all. The water clone led the other two with him through the marketplace, guiding them almost effortless through the crowd. ”We will arrive at the restaurant shortly, it is a BBQ. It should be fairly crowded and easy enough for us to not be disturbed.” He would say through the clone while they walked further along until eventually reaching the restaurant and stepped inside. There was a rather young hostess standing at the podium looking at them with a smile, almost as if she were waiting for them. ”Hey Shun! Is it just you n’ yer friends today?”Shun nodded as she bowed, leading them over to a table in the far back away from a lot of the commotion. It seemed like it was nearly evening with how packed the place was, but Shun knew different; the majority of this restaurant was used for more illicit activities from various criminals along with ninja from Kumogakure. Kiyoshi had introduced him to the restaurant a few years ago, telling him what it was actually used for. Most of it was a front for various arms trading going on or others putting hits out on people who could not be touched by official channels, but the main focus was that of dealing in the trading of secrets and information. Most of the policing force and members of Kumogakure’s ANBU unit met here with their informants for trading information. ”So…” Shun began as he looked over to Takera and Averus, placing his arms over his chest as he leaned back in his seat. The hostess from earlier had brought them a wide variety of various dishes even without them ordering. She only smiled and went on her way, joining back into the foray of fighting and yelling that was used to disguise the truth. “... what should we do now?”The clone sat there as he gazed between both Takera and Averus, Shun watching it the majority of what was unfolding between them in the back of his mind. In order to keep up appearances, he would make the clone pick up various pieces of meat with chopsticks and place them onto his plate. He would sit there and slurp up the pieces of meat whole, gulping them down rather quickly and fake chewed them. I do not know how I am going to get out of this… The water clone would reach out and take a sip of water, fakely drinking down the water as he kept both the food and water floating around inside of him since he did not have any digestive capabilities. This is something I will need to remember to work on… maybe a better type of clone… His thoughts raced as he was careful not to convey them to either of his teammates, making sure to keep up appearances that he was indeed there with Takera and Averus. ------------------------ Meanwhile the real Shun was wandering southward with the clones disguised as Takera and Averus, casually making conversation with them as they headed toward the southern gate. It was in that moment that Shun had the same feeling from earlier, a sharp pain rain from his head and down his spine; it felt as if two halves of him were at war and one was fighting for dominance over the other. A few villagers seemed concerned and started to walk over to him, making sure he was alright but he seemed to take off with the clones following closely after him. Something or someone was targeting him, but he was not entirely sure why; he had not done anything of his knowledge except leading the capture of the shinobi when he was but a boy. Would they be looking to get revenge on him or was this something else entirely? Could it be related to his parents and why they had abandoned him? As he ran into an alley the pain slowly subsided and he started to feel ‘normal’ again. He leaned back against a wall and closed his eyes, taking a few short breaths while he made the clones express some concern for him. He needed to keep up appearances if someone was indeed following him. After a rather long moment he stepped away from the wall and nodded over to the clones. ”Go.” And all three of them took off in separate directions, getting rather far from their current location. His original plan had changed just slightly, once they had ran around the village for a short period of time he would disperse the clones disguised as his teammates then head off to join them. He saw everything that was going on back at the restaurant in the back of his mind, committing everything to memory while he danced along the sides of their mountainous home. Once Shun was fairly sure that whomever was following them had lost them he brought his hands together. ”Release!” He felt his two disguised clones disappear as he kept hold onto the one that remained with Takera and Averus as he began to make his way to the restaurant. He leapt down from the flattened platform he had been standing on and onto another, dusting himself off, waving off a guard who eyed him suspiciously before noticing the headband secured to his arm. Shun started north toward the market but suddenly stopped when out of the corner of his eye he saw something in a dense blanket of fog. He focused on the spot and saw two faintly glowing blue eyes staring at him with a low growl following after it. ”Boy.” A voice snapped loudly in his head in such a vicious, bloodthirsty force that it froze him in place. He could not move, he could not even look away from the pair of eyes he saw through the dense fog… all he could do was wonder what this was and if this was his end. It all seemed to happen in a matter of seconds that a hand came to fall onto his shoulder and a loud howling was heard, breaking the silence as Shun jumped forward in a spinning rotation with his hand drawn out as if he had claws about to strike the person who touched him. He immediately stopped when he felt a hand upon his wrist and looked up to see his teacher from the academy, Yazanagi, standing there with a concerned look upon his face. ”Shun..? Are ye okay, boy?” Shun seemed to immediately calm down, his arm relaxing as he just seemed to nod. ”Aren’t ye suppose ta’ be with yer friends? Did ye get lost?” Yazanagi grinned with a joking tone in his voice as he released his pupils arm. ”Yeah… we got split up in the fog, but I sent my clone with them so they should have made it to our meeting spot….. Hey, Yazanagi… can I ask you something?” Shun seemed much more timid than usual as he looked up to Yazanagi who just rose an eyebrow, shrugging his shoulders. ”Sure ye can, what’s it?””Did… when you placed your hand on my shoulder… did you hear a howl.. Like one a wolf would make?” Shun asked him as his teacher just shook his head, shrugging his shoulders. ”Nah, I dinna’ hear nothin’ like that… ye better get goin’, Shun! D’nt let ye mates down!”Yazanagi wandered off past him with Shun standing there still wondering just what was going on. He never experienced anything like this before and yet here he was almost going crazy… seeing things, hearing things… something was going on, but he did not have time to sit around and figure it out on his own. He needed to make his way to where Takera and Averus were led and join them sooner as opposed to later.

'The sound of flapping reaches your ears as a black crow slows it's rapid decent before landing onto your shoulder. Hopping from one foot to the other, it waits for you to take the scroll attached to one of it's legs. Once removed, the crow will immediately take flight with a parting squak.
The scroll reads...'
"You have been enlisted to represent the village in an important diplomatic mission. In three months time you will be expected to arrive in the Land of Earth to assist in a delicate matter that is of the utmost importance. This will be a joint mission with several other Hidden Village shinobi, your actions and results will reflect the strength of our Village, it is expected you will not disappoint. You will be contacted later with more detailed instructions and appropriate funds. Do not share the details of your mission."

Takera noticed as Shun placed a hand on his head and winced. Takera pondered if maybe he had taken the fall much harder than earlier believed. Upon recovering Shun's eyes were cast upwards, meeting with Takera's. He generally seemed fine. Takera and Shun broke eye contact at the same time as Averus and his teacher, Shyn, entered the room. Takera tilted his head back a little at the sight. He had realized that by taking his stealthier route, he left Averus by himself to deal with Shyn. Takera remained silent as he listened to everyone else's input. After a moment Shun said his 'Thank You's and proceeded to motion for Takera and Averus to go with him. Is he trying to lead us? Cheeky youngster.. Speaking of which--when the hell did he go from being so utterly lazy to this impatient and on the go? Takera thought to himself as he questioned the actions of the youngest addition to their team. He happened to catch sight of a seal as the young man crossed his arms. No immediate effects were visible, which left Takera to contemplate what he might be up to.
Takera looked up, breaking free from his thoughts to remember that he hadn't said anything since his last cross word to Ishizara. He turned back to face Ishizara and lock eyes once more. "I'm off." Takera turned to follow Shun outside with Averus. Ishizara elected to remain silent, and instead nod, as the three of them watched the Students off. Takera made it outside where Shun was standing.
Something felt off about Shun, but Takera kicked the feeling and glanced in Averus's general direction to assure himself everyone was together. Takera was about to speak up when Shun charged ahead down the side of the mountain towards the center of the village. Takera elected simply to follow out of curiousity. After all that has happened to us today--, how bad could it be? Takera thought to himself. He shrugged to himself as they made their way down and into the Market. Shun began to speak of a destination; a BBQ restaraunt for them to sit and converse at. Takera glances ahead at the people hanging around. The crowd seemed to have changed since they were last there. It's perhaps possible that they caused a great number of people to evacuate the area by mistake. Or, perhaps the merchants and general townsfolk have different schedules. Either way, it didn't seem as though there would be much in the way of hostility as the crowds were full of more docile and distracted people than the average thief or con artist.
Takera took one last step before he heard something feint coming down behind him. The elongated shadow of some kind of bird stretched ahead of them across the open ground. Takera whipped around to see the descent of some kind of Crow with a scroll wrapped around it's leg. Takera placed his arm out hesitantly as the crow landed. It seemed as if the Crow were antsy as it hopped from one foot to the other awaiting the removal of the message. Takera relinquished the scroll from the Crow before shaking his arm out to send the Crow off back to wherever it originated. Takera decided to hold onto the scroll and address it indoors where they would be having discussion. They continued forth to the restaraunt where a lady greeted them all. "Hey Shun! Is it just you n’ yer friends today?" she greeted them with southern accent. Takera arched a brow as he glanced passed her into the restaraunt. A rather appetizing smell came wafting out from the door ways. The lady guided them forth to an open booth. The restaraunt seemed kind of noisy, but not without purpose. Some of the people Takera passed on his way in were awfully shady just in appearances alone.
Takera took a seat beside Averus across from Shun, who was now laying back in the booth with his arms across his chest. He took a moment to pause as he noticed that the waitress brought no menus of any sort. He shrugged as he pulled forth the scroll, unrolling it and holding it between himself and Averus to read before sliding it across the table to Shun. Once they had all had a good chance to read the scroll, Takera retrieved it and tucked it away in his bag. Takera glanced between Averus and Shun for a moment. "What exactly are we going to do from here?" Takera states. Just then the waitress returns with a bunch of food selections despite the team not actually ordering anything. Perhaps it had something to do with Shun's connection to the waitress.

Averus Ikaru Averus and Shyn walked over to the group, and after some farewells, Shyn waved to the young men as he left the offices to go onto his patrols. Averus approached Shun and Takera once they were done, and noticed how Shun had been looking at Shyn with a curious eye. He chuckled, as his former teacher was sort of an oddball as it were, but from what he saw of the others who seemed to be the former teachers and family of Takera and Shun, he could tell they each had been taught by oddballs. Averus stayed silent for the most part, starting to wonder what they should be moving onto at the moment. He thought of doing a mission, but soon Shun had been walking out the door of the entrance of the offices, and followed behind Takera once he was ready.
“So...what shall we do now that we are free from whatever that strange occurrence was?” Averus asked as he scratched the side of his temple. His answer soon came when Shun stepped out of a sudden, thick fog that had blanketed the area. Averus looked around, feeling a small annoying shot of pain in his skull that came from his eye, though it subsided not too long afterwards. Seeing fog here in the village was rather rare, but not too uncommon. Seeing Shun made him tilt his head, before following him with Takera as he announced they were gonna go for some BBQ. It was then that Averus realized just how hungry he was, and was glad to know they were gonna get some grub.
Along the way, he couldn’t help but remember a few things from his past, the fog revealing some old memories like a page in a book…
--
Averus groaned as he laid on a small, stone bed. He was glad to have at least a pillow, the cold stone clearly uncomfortable as he tried to get some sleep. He sighed as he rolled over, before hearing a click coming from the door of his room. Well, one of his rooms. This was just one of many that he stayed in, and usually just for the convenience of them being close to whatever lab his father was currently working in. He blinked his eyes a bit as he saw his ‘Mother’ enter the room, the woman who pretended to be that as she was his father's lab assistant. She had brought some food, and a large book for him to read. He never learned her name, and he never really cared for, as his father had made specific instructions that he had to call her Mother. So, he took the food and book she offered, and sat up on his bed before she walked out and locked him back inside.
He sighed, as he looked at his food. A green, coconut curry soup with dumplings was what he was looking at. Averus at least could say that his father wanted him to have good nutrition despite the experimentation he had been doing to his own son. Eating his food, he began to browse the literature that his father had provided to him today. It was a book about the basic needs for a shinobi to disguise himself, as well as a few copied missions reports that had been disclosed long ago for readers to see what other shinobi did during infiltration missions. He was rather interested in reading it, as several shinobi had many different methods for their missions.
Some took the more typical route of stealth, finding entrances and exits of homes, bases, and even palaces to infiltrate to complete their missions. Others used fake documents to pretend to be other people, taking on the role of inspectors or commanders to just walk in and complete their missions. The most strange he had read was one shinobi, a mercenary of sorts, who would infiltrate target locations by knocking out someone, steal their clothes and wear them, before heading out to complete his mission, never getting caught as they laid traps to complete an assassination.
The young Averus closed the book, making sure to re-read everything he had learned after he was done with his current meal…
--
Averus shook his head as he brought himself back to the present. He scratched his head a little, before hearing a caw as a crow had landed on near the group. He watched as Takera took a scroll that was attached to the birds leg, then continued on with them into the restaurant. Once they had sat down, he took the moment Takera gave him to read over the scroll. He arched an eye-brow as he read it.
“Interesting…” Averus replied to his own thoughts on the matter, saying nothing as to not give away what was on the scroll. He looked to Takera, then to Shun, and realized that they had been given a very important mission. His only hope now, outside of what they were going to get to eat as no menus had come, was that they were ready for it.

Averus Ikaru
A day had passed after the group had gone through the strange happenings of the prior day. After everything was said and done, Averus left to get some rest back at his apartment. He made his way slowly, feeling the aches and pains in his joints and body as he had done far more than he had originally thought he was going to be doing. After his graduation, after taking on a mission as a favor for his master, he had thought he was going to be a loner. Yet, the village had placed him into a group with Takera and Shun, a surprise to him after the thought of being a loner had been placed in his mind. He smiled to himself as he walked up the stairs of his apartment building.
It was a large, brown box that stood six stories high, the wood old and clearly worn from age. Perhaps it was one of the oldest buildings in the village at this point, no one really knew. It was mainly a joke amongst the inhabitants of the apartment building that it had some sort of great history, outside it being a cheap rent home for those who were down on their luck, or the village had placed someone like Averus when he had no home or family of his own.
Well, that was not entirely true. He did have family, but if you count two corpses who were now worm food in the earth, one of which was not even blood related to him, then one could say he did have family. Averus sighed as he reached the sixth floor, and looked down the lonesome hallway. It was a bare, grey white color, with the very wall paper starting to peel off at places, mainly at the corners and the edges. The ceiling was bare for the most part, the occasional spider web and cobweb in places, and bleach marks around the ceiling lamps from how long the lights have been turned on, leaving an almost yellow stain to them. There was only two doors here in the hallway. One was to the apartment that was given to Averus by the village was he came of age, and the door that led to the stairs that would head up to the rooftop. Creaks came from the wooden floor as Averus took some steps down the hall, yet another factor to how old this building was, or at the very least a sign that it was in some desperate need for some maintenance.
Taking out a small key that he had in his back pocket, Averus stood in front of the door to his apartment. After a small click came, he opened the door to look inside before he carefully reached around the corner of the door, and grabbed a small lever that he pulled. Another click came from the other side of the door, this one a bit louder. Smirking a little to himself, Averus took a step past the threshold of the door, then closed it behind him before locking it.
Around the door was a long, slim rope that led to the lever that sat next to the door. Around the door was a set of explosive traps that he had planted there, connected to a switch board in front of the door. Anyone who attempted to break into his home without his permission, or knew of the trap, would have a very disturbing and sudden case of explosions.
Taking off his coat, Averus tossed it onto a chair nearby. The first room was a large living room, made up of one large red rug, a wooden coffee table with a couch and two chairs, one of which now had his coat on it. Two windows were on the wall that led to a small ledge that would have flowers on them, except that the only thing there was a small bird's nest that had been formed from the various dead branches of small trees that could be found in the area. Averus paid no real mind to the birds on the ledge, figuring that if he had left them alone, they would do the same for him. For the most part, that was true, as the few times he had ever been disturbed by his feathery neighbors was when they would call out to other birds in the area in the early hours of the morning.
Walking over to the right, Averus went toward his small kitchen. It was really just a counter that separated the living room from the kitchen, another counter along the wall that held a few small appliances that Averus had worked hard to acquire. A small fridge sat on one end, large enough to hold a few packages of food and cartons of milk and orange juice. He opened it and looked at the door, taking a few bottles of water for him to drink before walking over to sit down on his couch. Despite everything, the room was rather empty. Shelves had nothing but dust on them, and a few scraps of rolled up paper that had a few notes he had written long ago, but never got around to actually putting them anywhere. Besides his living room, there were two other doors. One was for the bathroom, quite normal with nothing really there outside of a toilet and tub for bathing. Next to that door was his bedroom, and it was where he had most of his things. A small bed meant for one, though two could technically sleep there. Two bookshelves filled with volumes of different texts, either fiction or non-fiction. A dresser that held all his clothes, though he had very little.
Averus sighed a bit in relaxation, trying to go over everything that had happened over the course of the day, review it in his head for any kind of mistakes or perhaps another way of dealing with the situation. After several times, he smiled to himself as he leaned back onto his couch, sipping the water bottle he had opened up and tasting the cool liquid flow down his throat. He chuckled a little, as despite thinking he would be a loner, he was absolutely fine with the group he had been put a part of. He had to thank his former master later, as despite everything it was him and the other two who pulled them into a team. That strange test that had given them also was one thing.
After a few hours of resting on the couch, Averus soon slumped down, setting his bottle down on the small table as he slowly relaxed into the couch. Averus let out a small yawn, then after a few moment, his eyes drooped low before he finally fell asleep. As his mind slept he had a dream of his past, being placed into different rooms as if he was like a sheep being led by a shepherd. Each room held tables, chairs, beds, and some even had nothing but a small lamp in the middle of it. As well as that, he saw small eye balls in the corners staring at him, watching his every movement. Then, a garbled voice appeared, and he was unable to understand the words that spoke. The next thing he knew was large white pillars appearing around the room, turning around quickly to see there was no longer any doors. In fact, the walls around the room changed into a deep red color, strings of red all around him, and as the white pillars rose still, Averus saw it was not a room he was in, but a mouth…
Averus awoke calmly, his eyes fluttering open as he yawned for air. Raising a hand, he rubbed his left eye, feeling a slight itch to it. Dreams like that were common for him, and as a child he would awaken in a cold sweat, sometimes even waking up to his own screams. Now a days, he had gotten used to those sorts of dreams, commonplace for him as he woke for each morning. Sunlight peeked into the room, entering with a small amount of warmth to the room as he rose from the couch. Averus rubbed his back as he grabbed an unopened bottle of water he had left, and twisted the cap off and taking a long draft of water to his parched mouth. Setting it down, he rose to stretch, as sleeping on a couch can make ones muscles a bit cramped and feeling out of place. Averus did some morning stretches to get his limbs moving around a bit easier, before heading over to his kitchen to check to see what he had to eat for breakfast. What he had was way too old bread that he tossed into the trash, and some cups of ramen. Frowning, Averus turned to grab his coat. If he was going to start the new day, it was going to be right.
Walking out of his apartment, he set his traps as normal, locked the door and headed down the hallway. He waved to some of the local tenants that were also coming out for their morning routines, some going to work, others were shinobi heading to start missions, and others were parents taking their kids to the academy. Though he had lived here for several years since he was old enough to take care of himself, he had not really bothered to learn the names of those who lived in the same building as him. Mainly it was the constant reason of that most moved out of the place after some time to somewhere else, or that if he ever had to bug out of his home, best not to have too many attachments.
Averus walked out into the crisp morning air, clouds over head like a haze that blocked some of the sun’s harsh rays. A few people were around, coming out of their homes to head to the task they had for the day. Averus looked around at the roof tops, and spotted a few shinobi who were patrolling running around as they leapt between buildings. He wondered what they were up to in the early morning, though he mainly thought that they were simply heading to the offices to turn in, as they were probably the night shift. Taking the main road, he walked his way toward the market area, though he was not heading that way entirely. Along the way he turned down a different street, and here there was a long row of different food stands and restaurants. Averus smiled to see how busy it was, putting his hood up so that he did not distract anyone from eating from seeing his face. Walking a few more steps, he saw what he was walking to. A small stand with a red umbrella stuck to the side of it, and a small flag that had the name of the stand, Morning Biscuit. A bit of a plain name, but Averus could not deny the good food that the one man owner brought out to his customers. A small line was already formed, and Averus waited patiently as he waited to get himself something to eat.
Looking around as he waited out the time, he noticed something near a small alley. There, he spotted three cloaked figures conversing with a few citizens. He thought it strange untill the citizen pointed them toward the main portion of the village, and the three bowed before walking away. He tilted his head, wanting to follow them to see where they were going. But, his stomach rumbled, and as much as he wanted to sate his curiosity, he was more interested in putting his hunger pains at ease. Once it was his turn, he ordered his favorite food from them; a golden biscuit with butter melted on top with eggs, cheese and bacon put into the middle like a sandwich. It was a bit of a exotic food compared to the normal meals around town, but that is what made it much better than the regular things he had eaten lately. Smiling as he walked over to a wall, he ate his food with a bit of glee, one of the few times he found happiness in the small things. Finishing his food, he tossed his trash in a nearby trash can and headed out to see where his compatriots were today.
As Averus walked down the street with hands in his pockets, the three he had been watching were now on a rooftop, watching with careful eyes on him now before disappearing and splitting up.

After everything had happened between them and all three of them split up for the remainder of the day, Shun said his farewells to both Takera and Averus. Shun was always able to eat free at that restaurant thanks to his father and the fact the owner owed him a life debt. Shun had started on his way home, but he was careful as he moved due to the fear that still resided in his heart from what he had seen before officially meeting up with his team. The boy moved slowly through the market, greeting those who said hello to him until he reached the residential district he lived in. It was more than likely that Yukiko and Kiyoshi were not home since both typically worked rather late. Shun was hoping this was case so he could contemplate what exactly happened. He had never felt anything like that before, the utter fear in his body when he he heard the word ‘boy’ echo through his head bothered him until he stepped inside. He noticed that none of the lights were on as he sighed and kicked his boots off, locking the door behind him before walking down the entry hall and turned into the kitchen. His eyes glanced over to the bowl of fruit that sat on the counter along with a note from Yukiko. Shun, we will be home late tonight… please go ahead and make yourself dinner if you’re hungry. Don’t you dare touch my chocolate cake or I will hurt you! I love you! Shun laughed a little, crumpling up the note and tossed it into the trash can before grabbing an apple from the bowl and a bottle of tea from the fridge. He yawned a little before walking into the living room and sat down on the couch, staring up at the ceiling. Both of his eyes closed as the expression on his face seemed to shift just slightly. ”Begin.”In his mind the city of Kumogakure began to build from the ground up to the skies that were filled with darkened clouds. He recreated his home in his head and began to fill it with people, specifically focusing on the area he encountered the pair of eyes. Fog began to fill the area surrounding the creation of himself as he focused and set the pair of eyes within it. He began to calculate the distance from where the eyes lined up with his body and realized they were lower than he originally thought. That makes sense… the howl… a wolf.. maybe. He started to replay the scene in his head up until Yazanagi startled him and he froze that specific moment, detailing the fact he was not making a fist to attack but a clawed hand. ... why was I like that… why did I seem to become feral..”He did not seem to understand it as he opened his eyes and returned to the real world, saving that scene in his head incase he needed it for future reference. Shun lifted the apple up and began to eat it, drinking the tea in between each bite while he thought further on the happenings of the day. The entire day was something unlike he had experienced before, especially the fact that he seemed more proactive instead his typical reactive, lethargic state. Perhaps it was because he did not appreciate them screwing with his new team, but he was not sure. Part of him felt it was something else… something much more than he had originally thought. He pushed the thought from his mind before stretching his arms out and yawned. Shun was starting to feel the effects of the day wearing on him as he stood up, slowly walking to the kitchen and discarded the apple in the trash after dropping the bottle of tea into the fridge. The boy would retire to his room, slipping out of his jacket before he fell forward and collapsed on his bed and slipped off to dreamland. It was in this dream that Shun was standing in a forest filled with dense fog, footsteps could be heard all around him as if he were being surrounded. He tried to look around at his whereabouts, but nothing seemed familiar… everything was strange, it was different and unlike anywhere he had been before. Shun tried to run forward, but he felt himself being stopped by an unnatural force; it was as if he were being blocked in by an invisible wall or he was trapped within a genjutsu. Shun could feel himself swell with fear and panic as he gazed around quickly, looking around as the footsteps drew closer and closer and various growls were heard. It was in that moment that he fell backwards on his bum and looked up, seeing a large wolf upon a jutted out rock face who was looking down at him. The beast had a twisted, dark expression on his face but it was the eyes that made Shun shiver - they were the same eyes he had seen before. He scrambled backwards and bumped into something, reaching a hand back he felt fur and looked up to see what looked to be the same beast there with a sadistic grin. This seem to scare him awake, making him sit up and gasp for air as if he had not been breathing the entire time. He could feel his body feeling rather cold, icy sweat drenched his hair as he slowly sat up a little more. Shun swung his legs out and stood up, starting to walk toward the door to go into the kitchen and get some water. It was there he saw it out of the corner of his eye, the same pair of eyes watching him through a thick fog that had rolled in from a rooftop. Shun immediately ran to the window and fumbled with the lock, pushing his window open when he saw the pair of eyes through the fog dash off. He could barely make the outline of what they belonged to, but he confirmed it had a canine appearance. He climbed out of his window and started after it, wanting answers… wanting to know why he was being haunted and just what it was that was haunting him in the first place. He was able to keep up with the beast, but it seemed almost that he was being toyed with - that the creature wanted him to follow somewhere. He was not exactly sure where he was being led to, but he could tell he was still inside of the city as they had not passed through any of the gates. Slowly he began to notice and make out a few of the buildings, realizing he had been leading him in a circular motion around the residential district. Shun was about to stop when he saw the creature leap down from the mountain side they had been scaling in between two houses. He followed after the creature and stopped several feet behind him. ”Who… who are you!? What do you want from me!?” His voice cracked, he could not hide the fear he felt that seemed to consume him. The creature turned, becoming more visible in the light of the moon that was now filtering through the gaps in the clouds. It was then Shun saw what he originally thought, what his dream was telling him - it was a wolf… a massive wolf that was almost as large as he. ”I spent months… YEARS… looking for you… for the child of my master… and here you are… being raised by his killer… pathetic…. I think… you should wake up now.” Shun stared at the beast, even more confused than before. He had more questions and zero answers about what was going on. ”What… what do you mean… ‘wake up’!?!?! I am already awake!”The wolf seemed to to have a twisted grin and cackled loudly, stepping forward. ”No… no… you are still sleeping.” The voice seemed even colder, even darker than before. Shun tried to step back, to move away but he could not and only watched at the chaos that unfolded. The creature rushed forward as if it were a rabid, wild animal as Shun gazed upon the maw of the beast opening and sinking his fangs into his shoulder. Shun was brought to his knees as he cried out in pain, almost screaming. The wolf held onto the boy, biting even harder as his razor sharp teeth tore through skin and muscle making blood soak through his clothing. It was not only blood that the beast seemed to be infusing into the child through his bite, he was sending chakra into the child. Shun gagged and gasped as if he had been bitten on his throat and was choking on blood, but it was not blood that he was choking on… it was his senses being increased almost one hundred fold their normal. It was almost enough to make him pass out from all of the new sensations he was experiencing at one time, but the pain was what kept him awake. He felt the creature release his shoulder and step back, cackling maliciously as he licked the blood from his muzzle. ”There you are… you will wake from your slumber… the seal that was placed upon you… unlocking who you are your connection to MY child… now…run little Shun… run… run back to that murderer…. Hahahahahaha… ahahahahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…”Shun clenched his bleeding shoulder as he stood up and ran, fleeing from the animal that seemingly also took off. He was not sure what had happened, but he could barely function as he felt his body was on fire. He could feel his muscles strengthening, tightening as his canines seemed to sharpen all on their own. What happened to him… what was he becoming… who was he… what did he mean by he was raised by a killer… a murderer. The boy ran to the only place that he could… home and he immediately crashed through the door, leaving it open. When he reached the living room he saw Kiyoshi sitting there puttong on his boots. ”Shun! There you are! What happened… why are you… bleeding!? What’s going on!?” Kiyoshi stood up as Yukiko stood in the entrance of the living room, watching the two of them. Shun just stared at Kiyoshi as various memories seemed to flash into his head, memories that creature had. In those memories he saw Kiyoshi standing above two figures during a thunderstorm, a cold expression being shown on his face from his mask that was broken down the middle. They were begging for their lives, for him to spare them… to spare their newborn child. Kiyoshi seemed to slaughter them mercilessly, sinking kunai he had thrown into their upper bodies and eventually one right between their eyes. He watched Kiyoshi walk over to a bawling white haired baby who did not seem to show any signs of who his parents really were. He watched Kiyoshi order to the shinobi under his command to fan out to search for the wolves before disappearing into the storm. Shun was seeing this all from the perspective of the beast that was hiding further in the cave they had been hiding in, watching the murder of his master and abduction of his son. After a long moment he seemed to snap back to reality and stepped back, falling against the wall and slid down it with tears streaming down his face. ”You… you killed… you killed both of my parents… you LEFT me with that village… you knew who I was this entire time, did you not!?Kiyoshi sat himself down when he saw the fear fall over Shun, listening to his accusations while Yukiko stepped in wondering just what was going on. ”Kiyoshi…?” Kiyoshi looked down and was quiet for the longest time before he finally spoke. ”Yes… Shun, I killed your parents and left you in the care of the villagers.Your parents were A-Class criminals from Konohagakure… I was assigned to provide assistance to the shinobi from that village… to hunt down and either kill or detain them…they… murdered an entire family of shinobi… from their own clan… you are… an Inuzuka… your father’s name is Kurotsuki… your mother… Shirohi.” He pulled out a book from his vest and tossed it over to Shun. ”Halfway through… page 238… are all of the details.”Shun just sat there in shock over what he was hearing, he did not want to believe it… he came to love and respect Kiyoshi but now…? He could feel hatred well up inside of him, but he could discern that it was not hatred specifically toward his adoptive father. The hatred burned toward everything… he was mad, furious that his parents had been taken from him… even if they had been criminals. It was the logical state of his mind that began to calm him down as he reached for the book and turned to the page he had been directed to. The details of the entire mission were written along with the documentation from both Kage from Kumogakure and Konohagakure. It… it is real… but that should not excuse him… he murdered them… but because they were killers themselves… I am the son of a killer… multiple killers… and yet that is what the job entails… he was a shinobi first… as you are now… can you blame him? I can!... they begged for him to let them live… and yet he let you live… he could have killed you… it would not take much to have taken the life of a newborn….Yukiko could not believe what she had heard… she knew that Kiyoshi had found a child amongst a shinobi couple he had hunted down, but she would never thought that child would have been Shun. That’s… why he had been so adamant about taking on that mission… he knew that the child might be there… Oh, Shun… Kiyoshi just sat there in the awkward silence that had been created while Shun just looked at the book, still bleeding slowly as he body seemed to begin to normalize a bit. He still was overcome by the senses that were flowing through him now, but the shock of the truth was hitting him the hardest. ”Shun… I should have told you before… I… I’m sorry.”Shun took a deep breath and raised a bloody hand up, wiping the tears from his eyes as he slowly forced himself up while whincing in pain. Slowly the child dragged himself over to his adoptive father and looked down at him while Kiyoshi just stared up at his son. Shun swung his head abck and with all of his might he slammed it forward onto Kiyoshi’s. ”I… I understand why you did what you did… you raised me to be logical… I am mad at you… I am furious… but you were carrying out your mission… I know you checked on me from time to time… so… thank you for raising me… but uh… mother…?” Shun looked over to Yukiko. ”Could you please… heal me?”Yukiko jumped a little as she nodded. ”Oh, yes! Sorry!” She ran over as Shun slumped into the chair next to Kiyoshi and began to heal him, being careful as she poured her chakra into his wounds. It would not take a long time before Shun was healed and right as the scars themselves were going to be healed, Shun stopped her. ”No… I need them to remind me.”Even if what I am now is a constant reminder………. I was attacked by a wolf… a very large one… told me I was still sleeping… that I needed to wake up… called you a killer… a murderer… and then bit me… flooded me with his chakra… I… can smell things… hear things… see things that I could not before… I feel stronger..” Kiyoshi looked over at Shun as he just nodded slowly. ”I thought that was strange… when I found you it looked like something had been performed on you… but I completely disregarded it until now.. Looks like when he gave you his chakra… it awoke the Inuzuka blood in your veins.”Yukiko gave a bottle of water to Shun for him to drink who guzzled it down in a few gulps as the boy stood up a few minutes later. ”I am… going to sleep now… I feel tired.. All of a sud…. n…” Shun fell forward as Kiyoshi caught him, staring down at the unconcious body of his son and shook his head. ”I’ll… tell you everything tonight, Yukiko… but help me get him out of these bloody clothes and into bed.”Shun would awake the next day rather early in the morning, staring up at the ceiling as he seemed to have gotten used to his newfound bloodline rather quickly. He still felt anger, but did everything he could to supress it even though he knew he would have to deal with it sooner or later. He laid there for about an hour before slowly rising out of bed and stretched his body, feeling his muscles had become much stronger than before. He could even tell he had become much more flexible and moved much easier than before and when he sniffed the air, everything in his home came to him in one blow. He could sense that no one but him was currently home, most likely Yukiko and Kiyoshi had gone to their duties for the day. Shun began to dress himself in his typical attire, a pair of black jeans and his signature coat except this time he had slipped on a red undershirt and a pair of gloves over his hands when he noticed his nails had become sharper than they were the night before. He looked at himself in the mirror, noticing he had changed quite a lot during his night of rest; his hair seemed to have grown a bit longer and both of his eyes had a more wolf-like appearance and even his teeth, specifically the canines seemed elongated. ”... this will be interesting to explain to Takera and Averus later…” He said to himself as he stepped out of his room, grabbing his pack on the way and tossed it over his shoulder. The male walked into the kitchen and saw a note from Kiyoshi sitting there. Shun… if you want to talk about it more… I will try to be home early tonight… again… I’m truly sorry. Shun shook his head as he crumpled this note, tossing it away. He knew what Kiyoshi did was only because he had been following orders and it was his job… to track down criminals who entered their country. He could not blame him for that… he would do the same thing if he were in Kiyoshi’s shoes wouldn’t he? Shun yawned and pulled the bottle of tea from the fridge along with a few bananas as he strolled out the door and locked it behind himself. He would consume the food and drink as he wandered from his home, wondering where Takera and Averus were. Shun noticed the looks others were giving him, mostly out of curiousity over his changed appearance. ”Maybe one of them is at the market…” Shun shrugged to himself as he started on his way toward the market, keeping an eye out for Takera or Averus. He seemed to develop an entirely new appreciation from last night about his new found senses as he was able to hear conversations around him, even people wandering all over. Shun ended up catching Averus’ scent and began to follow it, stopping for a moment when he thought he heard something moving from above and looked up. He did not seem to see anything around him as he shrugged, noticing Averus not that far ahead of him. ”Hey! Averus!”Quote: Words: 3334 Total Words: 3334

The three of them carried only short discussions around eating the food presented to them at the restaraunt before they respectfully decided to each go their own way for the remainder of the day and resume the issues at hand in the following day. Takera waved to Averus and Shun as he headed out of the market towards the city gate. His muscles felt stressed and with everything that transpired that day, he felt as though a good long rest would do him some good, if nothing else. Shortly there after Takera would arrive at the gates. The two from his previous trip through were standing guard and happened to notice him as he came up to them. "Hey, look. It's the kid from earlier." the one guard noted to the other. The other was sitting in a chair beside the stand near the gate reading a book. He glanced up from the book to see Takera, his look of one not amused or caring of the events, but curious none the less to see what's going on. The man lowered his eyes and went back to reading his book. The first guard shrugged his shoulders as he gave a concerned and confused look toward his uninterested comrade. He turned back to Takera. "He doesn't talk much, does he?" Takera asked as he arched a brow. The guard shrugged again. "Sometimes it can be a good thing, I suppose. Are you leaving for the night?" the guard inquired. "Yeah. I don't have a home here in the village, so I have to travel a ways in my down time if I want a roof over my head." Takera responded. The guard tilted his head mildly confused. "Surely there's some form of housing assistance you could get within the city, right? It seems potentially dangerous to live outside of the village in this day and age."
Takera shrugged. "It sounds nice, but I've seen those places before. Always riddled with problems and the atmosphere is usually a lonely one. At least where I am at now, there's usually someone there to greet me when I return." Takera explained. He shifted his weight onto his opposite leg as he stood there, slightly altering his stance some for comfort. The guard paused in thought for a moment. "I suppose I can't argue with that. It can be hard to find sympathy in these cold times. So, who's this person who greets you upon return? ..Is it a girl?" The guard teased Takera unknowingly missing a beat. Takera couldn't help, but let out a light chuckle. "Not quite. He's my.. teacher--I guess you could call him that. Sometimes I wonder if there are any limits to just how much he knows and can do." Takera responded. The guard awkwardly smirked realizing his mistake. Takera let out a yawn. "I'm gonna get going. I'll be back tomorrow some time." Takera exclaimed as he began walking passed the guard. "Alright then. Safe Travels." the guard replied as he watched Takera off. Takera put up a hand waving as he walked off. A little ways down the mountain path, Takera turned to the mountainside and leapt off the edge, planting his two feet side ways across the side of the mountain sliding all the way down to the next portion of road below.
He continued this pattern until he reached the base of the mountain where the forest began. He took a moment to breathe and loosen up as the trick he performed was sometimes tiring in prolonged bursts. One slip could result in a very hazardous tumble. Takera began to feel kind of strange as his breathing got worse. He took a few steps forward thinking that it had merely been over exertion, but then his entire being pulsed. "S-Something is.. wrong with me.." Takera uttered haggardly as he placed a hand on the tree beside him for support. He bent over heaving, his expression was one of exhaustion and pain. Etches in his skin began to form in various areas of his body and even on his face. He could feel it. Some kind of transformation was taking place. Slowly a purple glow began to emit from his core and began to spread through his body like an aura. The color of his skin began flushing out of his body in synchronization with the spread of the purple energy. "A..A-AGH!" Takera grasped his throat as the pain grew more and more rampant in his body. He began drooling in agony as his mind began to faulter. His eyes trembed as fiercely as any other part of his body. His knees grew weak until he collapsed to a knealing position, barely holding himself up by his hands. Takera hacked violentally, bits of blood splattering across the ground. Trails of blood from the edges of his mouth trailed down to his jaw line and dripped to the ground below. None of it was making any sense to him. For a moment he wondered if maybe somehow he were under attack. He had experienced genjutsu in the past, but it was nothing quite like this. He felt as if his whole body was metamorphosing into something unknown. He felt his skin crawl, changing like flipping tiles all across his back. His skin began to feel slightly tighter as it thickened, growing heavier from it's increase in density / mass. Takera leaned back as his physical mass all across his body grew slightly and began taking a more sculpted shape. His muscles throughout his body had grown some as his skin tightened and the ending result was a very toned appearance that someone all around physically strong might have. Takera fell forward back onto his hands. He expelled raggedly, a small puff of miasma like chakra exhaling out over the grass in front of him. The grass gradually wilted before his eyes.
The tormenting feeling inside began to disapate as the transformation reached it's completion. His entire being had been altered, the pain that had nearly killed him had gradually sunk away into a mild discomfort. His body still wracked with the exhaustion of the day and the physical toll the transformation had taken upon his body initially. A strange influence found it's way into Takera's thoughts. Clinging on the edge of every thought, was a strong urge for malice. As the thoughts played out in his mind, they would seemingly curve to malicious endings time and time again. His thoughts only began to turn mildly violent at first. He winced in pain as blood began to flow from his eyes like tears as Takera begun shivering. The toll that the transformation had on his body was a steep one. His vision began to blur and go dark. Before he could straighten himself out he collapsed across the wilted ground before him. He had slipped unconcious.
The Inner World
Takera's eyes creeped open, blood shot with heavy dark bags under them. His body felt as if it were in shambles and the world around him was spinning, although it seemed as if it were slowly coming to a stop. He breathed haggardly and coughed struggling for air. His whole body wracked with a mild pain and a great fatigue. Finally everything came to a stand still. The sky above was blackened over, fierce winds blowing about. The wind was as cold as ice on his skin as it brushed over. Beneath his fingers and head he felt only loose sand. Both hands extended their fingers and palms raking the fingers slowly back in collecting the loose grated ground, though he lacked the strength to raise his arms. He turned his head to the left trying to see something other than the darkness. His eyes widened some as he bore witness to Zeru on his knees in the distance, his hand out stretched towards Takera as if in desperation. Takera gripped the dirt harder as he gritted his teeth. His weary eyes widened in frustration as he pulled himself up onto his left side. "ARGH! ..Haa.. aah.." He grunted heavily dropping back to a weary breathing. Moving his body at all was difficult. Wearily, he lifted his head to view Zeru. It seemed as if he was saying something, but Takera's ears rang with the sound of silence.
He heaved once more, casting an arm out and allowing his body to nudge forward. His teeth gritted in pain, sweat drops rolling across his forehead and dripping to the granulated ground below. His eye sight blurred for a moment as he struggled to fight against the weight of his own body baring down on him. Takera took in another strong breath and heaved forward again, his body rolling over mostly onto his stomach, his right arm resting open palmed on the ground ahead of him. He pushed off the ground as hard as he could. Takera's body scooted back a little as his other arm came from. He planted that open palmed hand on the ground as well. Sweat was bursting from his entire body. He managed to pull himself up onto his knees, the pressure of his weight causing his legs to strain. Takera bit down on his lower lip before exhaling strongly. His chest and core expanded and exhaled furiously as he continued to push his body farther and farther than previously thought possible. The only driving force was the image of Zeru in the distance with an out stretched arm, calling to Takera. Gradually, little by little and bit by bit, he moved forward on his hands and knees, leaving a trail in the granulated ground.
With every inch he drew closer to Zeru he felt as if his hearing was re-stabilizing and his strength was returning. Takera stumbled in a moment of weakness, his arms giving out plunging him face first into the granulated ground. He immediately raised himself back up straining his arms further. He shook his head lightly as his right hand reached up to wipe away the substance. He returned his focus to Zeru who was now seemingly closer than before. He continued to push and crawl until suddenly a voice rang through. "Takera!" the voice shouted to him. "You have to grab my hand!" it followed up. Takera focused his eyes upon Zeru's face. "..Hunh? ..Zeru?" Takera muttered, his voice still ragged. He coughed haggardly as blood spilled down from the edges of his mouth to his jaw line. Another heave propelled him forward towards Zeru, the closer he got, the more of his strength he could feel returning, albeit small in overall gains. "Can you hear me, Takera?! I couldn't stop it any more." Zeru cried out to Takera. "Ever since the incident the other day, I have been trying to bottle it, but it didn't last. I need you to come back to me!" Zeru's voice began to alter at the closing of his statement, like someone else's voice over taking his own.
It was hard to understand, but Takera listened closely as he continued to claw and pull himself toward Zeru who was now only mere feet out of grasp. Takera took one final giant breath and heaved with everything he had. He lifted himself straight up off the ground and kicked off with all the strength left in his legs to hurl his body, arm out stretched, palm flat -- at Zeru. As gravity began to pull him down, Takera felt his hand clasp firmly with Zeru's. A strong pulse emanated from his entire body all at once. He suddenly became light head, rubbing his eyes as his mind felt like it was swimming. He pulsated once more. Something was happened. He glanced up allowing the hand at his head to fall to the ground. A golden aura surrounded Zeru and had begun spilling down into Takera's arm. His whole body began to emit the same aura.
The Outer World (Reality) Takera's eyes shot open and he gasped deeply for air. He heaved up a few inches, pausing in place and his vision crossed. A hand placed itself on his shoulder and eased him back down onto the bed. Takera felt the back of his head encompassing the pillow below it. His vision began to clear and before him he could see the ceiling of a room -- his room. A warm light was glowing from his peripherals and just out of sight below his vision. His whole body felt as if it were being consumed in a warm comforting haze. Quickly his breathing became steady. Takera could feel his throat easing up, the pain gradually slipping away. He turned his head down to his body. It was there he noticed something peculiar. He raised an ungloved hand and turned it over back and forth looking up and down the arm. His skin was almost normal again. His skin color more vibrant and healthier than ever before. The golden glow surrounded his body still. His head turned over to view the person sitting beside him who had pushed him down a mere moment ago. It was Doctor Harteze sitting before him, using one arm to wipe away sweat from his forehead. "You are a handful, you know that?" Doctor Harteze exclaimed as he chuckled lightly. "What do you mean..? What happened.. to me?" Takera asked hesitantly. His body now almost completely restored, the glowing golden energy seemed to retract inside of him and settle as it continued healing him.
Doctor Harteze pushed off the floor with his feet causing the wheely chair to glide back about a foot before that same foot touched back down and brought the chair to a stop. He placed his hands on his legs for support and sat up tensing his muscles in his limbs and stretching them. Takera noticed that the lighting in the room was much feinter than it had been moments ago. He looked over towards the window. It was completely dark out. "What time is it..?" Takera asked with mild concern. Doctor Hartize removed his coat and draped it over his free arm. "What happened? That is what I want to know, Takera, but for now it's gotten late. Just do your best to get some rest. I'll check on you again in the morning." Doctor Harteze exclaimed. He turned and began walking towards the door out into the rest of the house, but stopped in the open door way. "Don't go any where." he stated sternly. A few seconds passed and he continued on through the door way, the feint sounds of his steps lightly echo'd through the house, getting farther and farther away. The click of a closing door could be heard.
Takera leaned up for a second glancing back over his body. It was true. His body had more than returned to his old state. It was increasingly perplexing in his mind, and he wasn't even quite sure how it all began in the first place. Blurred visions of Zeru surrounded in a golden light were stirred up in his mind. He shook his head in disbelief. Every thing happened so quickly, from an unreal agonizing pain to a great comforting warmth. His body was completely mended. Takera sunk back into position resting his head on his pillow and reaching for some sheets push over beside him. He pulled the sheets over himself and rolled onto his side bundling up and trying to relax as much as possible. Before long he would pass out, falling into a deep sleep.
Takera awoke several hours later. His eyes opened slowly. Small vestiges of light encompassed the room. It was early morning just as light began to crack over the horizon. Takera leaned up, raising his arm to glance over it front and back. He was still purified. He had almost wondered if it were some kind of dream. He moved his legs over off the bed as he leaned up into a sitting position. His feet touched down upon the moderately cold floor. He felt strangely comfortable. Looking out at the chair that Harteze had been sitting at before he fell asleep, he noticed his primary gear / clothing folded on the chair. He arched a brow as he tilted his head. Looking down he soon realized that he wasn't wearing anything besides a pair of normal brown pants. He rose from his sitting position and crossed the room to his clothing where he reached down and scooped up the pieces. He glanced over at the door for a moment just to be certain that it was closed before stripping out of the brown pants and slipping into his black body suit. Next came the black baggy pants, the gloves and at the end he was partly surprised to find a soft white cloth sash underneath it all. He took the sash and tied it firmly around his waist, allowing the excess to drape down from his left rear side. It dangled just down to knee level and fanned out some.
Takera took another glance around the room. Something seemed out of place to him. Something was missing -- his bag was no where to be seen. Takera arched a brow when the bag's absence became abundantly clear to him. He turned and crossed the room to the door, opening it, stepping out of the room and closing it shut. Takera entered the kitchen to find Dr. Harteze sitting at the kitchen table sipping coffee from a white mug. A spoon lay upon a napkin on the table before him. To his surprise, another full cup of coffee resided on the table on the side of the table closest to Takera. Beside it was a clean spoon resting upon a napkin as well as two containers. One was for cream while the other was sugar. Takera stared at the cup for a moment and then back up to Dr. Harteze. The doctor notioned for Takera to take a seat. He pulled forth the chair, sat down in it, and scooted it forward. Takera reached forth for the spoon while sitting forward in the chair. His eyes trained upon Harteze while his left hand grabbed the coffee cup and his right hand grabbed the spoon. He spooned in 3 teaspoons of sugar and then poured in just enough cream to turn the black coffee into a silky brown. He stirred the coffee for a moment before setting the spoon down. It seemed as if Dr. Harteze were casually musing over simple thoughts. The house was rather silent save for the sound of birds outside the house chirping every so often.
Takera sipped from the coffee cup slowly. He let out a sigh of hot air as he lowered the cup, keeping it suspended at chest level. He took a deep breathe to ready himself. "What exactly happened to me..?" he inquired. Harteze paused, setting his cup down on the table. "I had hoped something like this would have never happened. It's been so long since that day -- years, in fact. It is hard to imagine that it would occur now of all times." Harteze expressed his doubts in a indirect manner. It seemed strange to Takera, but he stayed silent. Harteze cleared his throat. "Deep within the confines of your blood; your very genetics even, may have been altered at the time in which I elected to perform the blood transfusion. A great deal of time passed before you came to. I had come to believe you would never wake up, but you proved me wrong. Unfortunately, something stirred the sleeping darkness inside of you. A curse." Dr. Harteze explained. Takera's brow arched strongly. "What do you mean? Does it have to do with your blood?" Takera inquired. Dr. Harteze placed both elbows upon the table, the fingers of his hands intertwined as they came together, his chin resting just atop them. "It is possible that the introduction of my blood had something to do with it, however it's unclear whether the occurence originated from within my blood or had simply become active within yourself upon my blood's introduction to your system."
Harteze scooted his seat back as he placed his hands down upon the table and stood up. "Quite frankly, you're an anomaly of sorts. It is hard to pin point any kind of real answers behind the changes within your body, but I might perhaps know something about the condition itself." Harteze explained. Takera took another sip from the cup, keeping his eyes on Harteze, he then set the cup down. "So, you can't explain what caused it, but you might know what it is exactly that's plaguing me? ..This isn't the first time it's happened to me." Takera responded, illuminating a particular fact that he thought might be of use. Harteze reached up with his left hand to correct the way the glasses sat upon his face while tucking his other arm professionally behind his back. "This problem is a repeat occurence? How long has this been causing you problems. Be thorough." he stated before turning towards his left and casually strolled up to a book case at the other end of the kitchen. The book case was a head taller than him and mostly filled with books, both composition and regular text books. A large assorted collection of material. Harteze did not possess any kind of formal office or desk, so the wide kitchen table made a fine substitute in most instances. He scanned the books row by row starting from the top, the finger from his spare hand gliding with his eyes as a means of guidance for his eyes to ensure he wouldn't over look any thing.
Harteze stopped upon the third row, and pulled forth a book closer to the right side of the shelf. The color of the book was peculiar just in it's own. It was a solid emerald green with a shiny plastic cover, and purple bindings. Harteze checked the front before flipping the book open and skipping casually through the pages. He stopped suddenly, pulling back a couple of pages and stared upon something within the book. His jaw sort of loosely and lightly swayed from left to right and back -- a habit one of critical thinking might develop as a need for constant physical stimulation while thinking. He moved back over to the table and held the open book towards himself as he listened to and waited for him to finish. "When I awoke yesterday, I had a constant feeling of emptyness and nausea reverberating through me. I had believed it was just my state of mind; my depression, eating away at me, but upon leaving the Academy later that morning, I found myself on a secluded path back into the center of the village. My whole body seemed to be breaking down. Something was tearing me apart in a similar way to last night. I was in a great deal of agony. It felt almost as if my whole body were changing from the inside out, but then.." Takera paused for a few seconds, looking down at his coffee cup and gripping the handle tightly. His expression became mildly relieved. "Something happened. I can't really explain it, but the changes stopped." Takera stated. An expression of curiousity and confusion spread across Harteze's face. "You're telling me.. It just stopped? That seems highly improbable. You nearly kicked the bucket last night." Harteze said with a hint of concern in his voice.
Takera gave it a moment to reflect and find the words to summize his experience. "I saw my brother." Takera started. Harteze's eyes widened with curiosity. "It seemed as if for a moment everything was becoming dark. The sound was fading from my ears and the feeling in my body was almost gone, but then.. I heard his voice. It was so warm and comforting. I brought my to look up and before me he was standing. A sort of.. golden aura surrounded him." Takera recited his memories in detail. He looked upon Harteze's face as he continued. "I couldn't really explain it, but he was there. I felt the agony and the symptoms begin to repress as I got closer and closer to him. He just kept moving farther and farther away, but the more I gave chase the more I could feel everything returning." Takera explained. "..I visited his grave." Takera stated reluctantly. "Normally I might say the obsession and inability to forgive yourself is rather unhealthy, but the peculiarities are starting to connect the dots of this phenomenon. Please, continue." Harteze chimed in during a moment of silence. "I met him there. We had a meaningful conversation, and when it was over I lost consciousness in the field. When I came to, my body was completely restored and around my waist was a root. One like my brother could manipulate. Placing a hand on it, I could feel chakra within it, though feint." Takera stated. Dr. Harteze was intrigued. He placed the book he had been holding down at the center of the table and pushed it gently toward Takera, stopping short of his coffee cup. "I have new theories, but while I do a little more searching, I would like you to take a look at this. It might be what we're looking for." Harteze stated before slowly returning to the book shelf. Takera's eyes glanced down over the page in curiosity while Harteze began pulling more books and flipping through them.
Takera moved the coffee cup off to his left side and lifted the book up. He began reading over the page from the beginning. It was a story of some sort. It began early in detailing a conflict as old as time where humanity's only salvation was the extermination of creatures known as 'Dragons'. "Is this some kind of lore and / or mythology?" Takera asked, not taking his eyes away from the book. "There has been speculation that the latter half of that story may have some truth to it. There are rumors from country to country, mostly originating from areas of poverty or lesser living. These rumors and stories suggest that there are dragons in this modern day and age, and that they are living along side us in some manner. Do you notice any thing peculiar about the picture at the bottom, Takera?" Harteze explained before placing the book he was holding back on to the shelf and grabbing another. Takera's eyes glided toward the sketched drawing with colored eyes. It was the cross section of a person's eyes, but something was strange. Their skin looked rigid and scaley around the outsides of their eyes, and the only colored portion of the art were the eyes. A luminescent green. Takera became a little puzzled as he tried to place where he might have once seen those eyes before, but had drawn a blank almost as if it were on the tip of his tongue, but rather just outside of his reach. "I can't recall any thing. What is it that stands out to you?" Takera asked with a puzzled expression as he looked up from the book towards Harteze. The man turned from the book case with two books stacked in his hands. He stared at Takera and for a moment the air became mildly tense. "You haven't noticed it yet, have you?" Harteze asked. Takera became even more confused by that statement and began to look over his hands and arms. "I don't understand. What has changed?" Takera asked, still puzzled. Harteze set the books down at the edge of the table and scratched the back of his head. "Perhaps it might be best if you looked over yourself in a mirror." Harteze advised.
Takera arched a brow with some concern, looking down at the reference art. "My eyes..?" Takera rhetorically questioned as he stood up. He left the room and entered the bathroom. As he entered he flipped the switch on the wall and the lights above the mirror flickered on. Placing both hands on the bathroom counter he looked into the mirror. Immediately it struck him like a sack of bricks. His eyes had changed to parallel those in the book. An intimidating set of eyes like that of an ancient creature. The eyes themselves seemed luminescent, as if they might still be perfectly visible in complete darkness. Takera flipped the light off and quickly returned to the kitchen table, placing one hand on the back of his chair and reaching for the book with the other. "What are you trying to say, Harteze? Have I become one of these things?" Takera questioned with great concern. Harteze pulled free another book from the shelf before scooping up the other two residing on the edge of the table and brought them back to his seat. "In some sense, the connection is there, but continue reading." Harteze responded as he cracked open the first book on the stack and began to flip through it's pages. Takera sat back with the book and picked up from the paragraph he left off on. The story began a new in a time period where the first part of the story had supposedly already faded into myth. It spoke of a samurai who would go on to be a faithful retainer to a princess carrying a volatile blood line that was hidden away over he frailty. The story goes on to conclude the Samurai's story in suicide as a believed means of redemption for having mistrusted the old women and accidentally poisoning the princess, who bore his child. It was stated that the child itself was born drastically different from normal clansmen within the royal blood line despite still carrying key traits such as the eyes of the princess. This child eventually grew up to become a low end dictator who was then stomped out by the Lightning Country after advancing into other controlled territories too rapidly. It is rumored at the end of the story that despite the young dictator's death, the blood line still lived on as a result of his constant bedding of concubines and innocents alike.
Takera sneered at the prospect of having some kind of blood connections to a seemingly devolved blood line. The repute for the clan was not great and if it still existed, it existed by the skin of it's teeth in scenarios much like Takera's. Members of the clan could potentially be just about anywhere within the world. "I can't argue that it sounds plausible, but I can't help but feel kind of violated." Takera exclaimed. Harteze shrugged lightly as he scanned the open page of the current book he had been scanning through. He slid the book over to Takera and cracked the next book open. "Think of it more like this. Your value should not be based upon appearances, even if it's a connection that is out of your control. Instead it should be determined by your character. What kind of person you choose to be rather." Harteze said. The words resonated with Takera. It made sense to him. He reached out for the next book and laid it open over top the one he had just been reading from. It had been a compilation of doctor's notes dated farther than Takera's life span detailing a patient who condition came on spontaneously and drastically worsened.
>"Day 1 - Admittance: The patient was admitted giving complaints of unexplained nausea and discomfort. It was soon discovered that his insides were rapidly dissolving, though we have yet to find the cause behind it."
>"Day 2 - Cause & Effect: The patient has slipped into madness. The substance spreading through his body was discovered to be a chakra carrying the characteristics of a deadly virus. Tests showed that contamination only required something as simple as a light touch for it begin spreading. The chakra caused everything it was coming into contact with to deteriorate at an accelerating pace. The patient has been strapped down and treatments / testing have begun. It may not be possible for the patient to return."
>"Day 3 - Passing: The patient passed away this morning at 6:04 am. The contamination spread far too quickly for us to properly examine it and find a cure. Shortly after the patient's passing, testing of the extracted chakra was considered too dangerous and the samples were destroyed along with any possessions the patient had and the bed he had been laying upon during his stay. The source of the strange chakra remains unknown. We can only hope no more subjects show up infected. An out break much like this one could be the end of us all."
Takera read the passages about the particular subject experiencing symptoms similar to his own, but not quite the same. None of the documented notes described any changes in his actual being or eyes. It seemed as if he were merely subjected to a by product of what Takera had become. Takera closed the two books and placed them off to the right side in the center of the table, now reaching for the next open book in the center. He pulled the book in front of him, grabbed his cup and took a swig from it as he began reading.
>"There have been reports of a mysterious individual in these parts. The figure reportedly has characteristics of a human being and yet also appears reptilian. A team of researchers were sent out to find this creature on the out skirts of the Land of Rice Fields, but unfortunately after weeks of searching, they were unable to find it. Of the few clues they found, included was the scrap remains of what was later found to be poisonous plants. These plants are normally untouched even by wild life for the level of concentrated poisons within them. Some speculate that the creature actually consumes these plants for sustainance. While others believe the unfound creature might have eaten them as a way of killing itself."
Takera closed the book and set it with the others. Harteze finally pushing the last book to the center of the table, this one did not contain blocks of text reports or compilations of medical documentation, but instead was a copied and distributed book of a famous artist originating from the lesser countries south of the Land of Lightning. Half way into the book there are two pages side by side that come together to show a compilation of drawings. These drawings closely resemble the descriptions that popped up within the other books. The individual sketched seemed to have rigid skin and scales surrounding key parts of his body such as around the eyes. The eyes were colored in with a vibrant green while the rest of the sketches remained uncolored. Takera closed the book and placed it on top of the stack off to the right of the center of the table. He took one last swig of his coffee, polishing it off, he grabbed the spoon before walking around the table and collecting Harteze's now empty cup as well (his spoon resting in the cup). Turning the water in the sink on, he ran the cups through the water rinsing them out and used the sponge to wipe them down and ensure they were clean. He left the cups upside down in the drying rack beside the sink and the spoons in the holder at the end of the drying rack. An air of silence remained between the two of them the entire time. Takera was still trying to process everything that he had learned from the entries in the books. Walking back to his seat, he pushed the chair in and turned to Harteze. "..What do I do? What if this keep happening? It's a crippling nightmare that just won't go away." Takera exclaimed, asking for advice. Harteze took a deep breath and leaned back in his chair. The chair creaked ever so lightly. "Although it's far more complicated than you might think, the answer is simply "Life Energy" from what I have been able to compile up to this point." Harteze responded.
"Life Energy? What specifically is that?" Takera inquired. "Life Energy is a little different than plain chakra. Chakra is born of a body's spiritual energy and one's physical energy. These two property come together to form the tangible substance we know in the ninja world today as "Chakra." Life Energy is normally an untappable source of energy that dwells in all living beings similarly to Chakra. It is the source of one's life. If it were to be diminished or otherwise drained the victim would, without a doubt, perish. Only very rare and gifted people have been able to tap into Life Energy in a meaningful way. Shinobi such as the Legendary "Hashiroma Senju" who began the system of Hidden Villages in Fire Country by bringing together a bunch of allied clans to form a protected city of both citizens and a militia of sorts. His chakra shared properties of his life energy, which allowed him to create living wood from thin air. Normally when an element, and even combined elements known as 'creation elements' are formed they carry properties exclusive to that element, but because of the Life Energy, Hashirama's conjured Wood Jutsu had additional mystical properties. He could sap chakra from other living things through the wood and using a form of Sage Art was able to conjure up a 'boon' in the form of markings on his face. These markings instilled a form of accelerated regeneration or 'healing' that kept him from falling to even some of the most powerful foes this world. To get straight to the real point of the Life Energy, I believe that it is the source of the 'state' your body is currently in as we speak." Harteze explained. "The state of my body?" Takera questioned. "Yes, Takera. The state of your body right now is not actually your normal self. This is evidenced in two ways. The first was your eyes. The second being your skin. While it's not much different from your normal self, it is actually much healthier and vibrant than any time prior to your transformation. It is only a theory right now, but it's the only explanation that makes sense to me until we can further identify the cause of your changes. I propose that your new form is actually like that of a coin." Harteze spoke as he rummaged through he reached into his vest's pocket and pulled free a golden coin. He showed the front of the coin and then flipped it over to reveal the back. A different facing existed on both sides of the coin.
"I believe your new form is sort of like night and day, light and dark, life and death. Let's imagine that your chakra itself is the 'catalyst' per say for the definition of a 'State of Change'. Your normal state of body is likely the darkness or backside of this coin. If this is true, then let's just say for example that your darker side causes your chakra to take on the characteristics of the poisonous chakra that killed the patient outlined in the medical records. Seemingly you don't originate from this blood line, so it seems most likely that during these initial transformations, your body has still been in the midst of transformation and unable to handle the devestating effects of this corrupted chakra." Harteze continued his explanation, flipping the coin back over to reveal the front of it. "Now, let's say that, while corrupted, this chakra of yours is devoid of the Life Energy that currently sustains you. Now, what do you suppose might happen if an outside source of Life Energy came into contact with the corrupted chakra? The mystical properties of Life Energy are characteristic of 'healing' and 'cleansing'. A restorative property. Perhaps by coming in contact with it, the Life Energy creations a chain of purification that allows your devoid form to instead encompass it entirely." Harteze explained. He paused for a moment to recollect his thoughts.
"What if, your brother is actually still on this plane of existence? It's theorized that because of the Chakra consists of a spiritual energy, that the dead actually pass on as spirits or ghosts of a sort. It's a little far fetched, but what if your brother's last ditch effort was not to restore himself, but to instead plant his chakra, his essence into you. If your brother was truely capable of a Wood Creation Element that mimic'd Hashirama's restorative traits, perhaps his chakra is similarly an embodiment of Life Energy? If this were true, your brother's spirit within you could be the 'outside Life Energy' acting upon your chakra to feed it or otherwise keep it in a constant state of Purity. Remember that this is all still a very wild level of speculation, but the information all seems to coincide to appropriately explain your ordeals from the first time you began changing up until now. Your brother, intentionally or not, may be acting as the catalyst to maintain your pure form while your body undergoes this drastic change." Harteze paused after the last sentence noticing that Takera had taken his words quite seriously and was now deeply in thought over all of Harteze's projected theories. Dr. Harteze rose from his seat and walked across the room to the cabinet. In the corner of the top level was a small flat wooden box with a key resting a top it. Harteze pulled the case down and blew the light bit of dust that had accumulated on it away. He returned to the table with it and used the key to unlock it. He raised the top of the small flat wooden box and turned it to face Takera. Inside were pristine sets of specialized contacts. "These are contact to change the appearance of one's eyes. I had these crafted a long time ago as one of many ways I disguised myself to gain entry into otherwise forbidden territory. Your eyes as they are will cause a great deal of alarm to average people, and it might actually be much worse if someone who actually knows you happens to see them. I am going to lend you a pair so that your eyes can return to their normal blue. Do your best not to let anyone see you without these in or it could be disasterous. I shouldn't have to tell you that in this day and age, enemies can be lurking just about any where." Harteze warned Takera upon offering up a pair of specially crafted contact lenses.
"Thank you." Takera replied. He carefully reached into the box for the blue pair of contacts and took them with him into the bathroom. There he used the mirror to carefully insert them one into each eye and adjust them, so that his eyes looked completely normal once more. Takera remembered then and there that he was actually supposed to head out and meet Shun and Averus, though he couldn't quite remember a destination. He quickly settled on the decision to return to the market since it seemed like the best place to start searching for them. Leaving the bathroom, Takera returned to the Kitchen, noticing that his bag was propped up beside the front door just before he re-entered the kitchen. "I just remembered that I was supposed to meet up with the two I was paired up with as a team yesterday. I'm running a little late, so I'm going now. We can talk more later if you or I should find any thing else." Takera stated. Harteze's eyes widened as Takera announced his part in a team of shinobi. Harteze was astonished that within the range of only a day Takera not only found acceptance from the village, but even became a part of a team. He was progressing rapidly, both through the good times and his hardships. Harteze cracked a smile to himself as Takera turned to leave. Takera pulled his shoes on hastily and then snagged the bag, swinging it up around his shoulder. He left in a hurry.
>A Little Later On
Takera arrived at the gates of the city, bending over he dry heaved for a good long moment trying to catch his breath. The guard from the other day had seen him from the stand beside the gate and fetched a bottle of water from the miniature supply bin inside. He walked up slowly to Takera. "Are you late for something, Takera?" he asked extending the water bottle. Takera stood up straight taking the water bottle from him. With no delay he removed the cap and drank down the bottle in one straight shot before releasing a great big sigh of relief. "Wooh. Man that was rough. I was supposed to meet up with my teammates to discuss something important and plan out some things, but I was dealing with some stuff this morning. I need to find some timely transportation, or never be late again. That was really rough running an incline without stopping." Takera responded. The guard was surprised to hear Takera had actually run all the way up the inclined path up the mountain to the gates. It's not a particularly easy feat, even for those steeped in Taijutsu training. "Well, you had better get going. You don't want to be any more late than you are.. that is if you still are." The guard said moving off to his side. Takera nodded and readied himself. The guard watched as Takera took off into a steady jog again through the gates and into the mountain pass towards the main section of the village.
Shortly after Takera slowed down as the number of people on his path began to increase. He dodged people left and right trying to keep a steady pace, but was soon reduced to walking in order to avoid accidentally running into people amongst the growing crowd. He was reaching the thickest part of the morning crowd. Out of the corner of his eye, Takera spotted a fruit stand and beside that a small concession stand of sorts. Albeit being late, he still felt the need for food if he was going to start the day right, so he slipped passed the people to the stand glancing over the product before plucking an apple and two bananas. After a brief exchange of words, Takera gave the merchant a small handful of ryu and moved on to the concession stand where he acquired a couple bottles of half n half tea. He stood nearby the trash can on the other side of the concession stand as he peeled back the skin on the bananas. As he stuffed sections of banana into his mouth and sipped on the cold bottled tea, he glanced around at the people passing by. He had hoped he might spot his friends. He continued to scan the crowd until he had consumed both bananas, the apple, and was just polishing off the second bottle of tea. As he lowered the empty bottle from his lips he caught sight of Shun passing through the crowd. Just then he also happened to pay witness to another figure staying a distance behind him, but watching him carefully. Takera paused. Mildly concerned he tossed the empty bottle and it's cap into the trash can and took off after the two, but before he could get close enough, the person tailing Shun had glanced back to catch Takera focused upon him. In a sudden panic, the individual ducked into an alley they were passing and broke into a run. Takera stopped at the alley, glancing down it towards the figure then back to Shun. "Might be best if I stick with Shun for now. I hope Averus is alright too." Takera whispered to himself before tailing Shun once more. After about five minutes, he witnessed Shun making contact with Averus, who had been standing out in the middle of the street. Shun was now standing beside him, as they both stared toward a nearby roof top. Takera glanced up, but was too late to see what was going on. He walked up to the two of them waving as he arrived, but elected not to say anything as he awaited their reactions. He could tell plainly that Averus was concerned and Shun was wary of something as well. Takera pondered if it might have had something to do with the person tailing Shun.

Averus Ikaru
Averus looked over to see Shun approaching him, and saw the change that seemed to have happened to his comrade. Averus tilted his head, finishing his breakfast as he waved to the young man as he approached. “Morning, Shun.” Averus replied as he turned his head toward the roof top, looking around for a moment. He thought he had felt someone was watching him, yet all he could see was some leaves that blew by in the wind. Sighing a little, he turned his head back to see Takera now approaching them as well. He waved to him as well. “Morning, Takera.”
Averus looked around a little bit, before he turned to them both once Takera was with them. “So...gonna just point this out. You both seem...different some how. I can’t put my finger on it though…” Averus told them as he looked between them, the itching from his eye was the only thing he could go on with how they were, though of course he had no real idea what it could be.
“Anyway, what should we do today? I think we have a bit of time before we have to report in for any missions or such. Have you two eaten yet?” Averus asked as he looked around the street they were on, several shops were opening up now and there was still plenty of food carts serving food if need be.
All the while, the group of cloaked figures looked on from a distance, before disappearing again before they were spotted by any wandering eyes.

Shun just nodded over at Averus when he was greeted, knowing he would most likely have to explain his sudden changes. He would wait until Takera would show up before explaining anything, even though he already knew that Takera was following behind him. I guess having this... heightened sense of smell isn't too bad.. He also knew that someone had been tailing him, but he shrugged off their presence without worrying about it too much. The canine senses he had gained seemed to fully transform him over night yet he still was not entirely used to everything they provided him. He could see perfectly in the dark, even anything lurking in the shadows was as plain as day to him. He had begun to memorize the various scents people gave off, adding them to his bank of knowledge. This newfound bloodline seemed to prove useful to what he had been taught by Kiyoshi - how to track and hunt others down. Shun turned and waved toward Takera when he arrived a moment before Averus had greeted him. His clawed fingers seemed to more prominent from last night as he lowered his hands, pocketing them into his coat. His attention turned back to Averus when he had noticed the both of them changing. Shun noticed Takera had changed, he had a different scent on him than before. ... wait, how did I know what his scent was like before... this is a little odd. He shrugged his shoulders for a moment. "Well... to give you the short version, my mother and father were originally criminals from Konohagakure. One of them was an Inuzuka, the other one... I don't know. However due to that... I am an Inuzuka. I was attacked by a large wolf last night... he.. did something to me that 'woke' up that blood in my body and some connection I had... to something... and well..." He grinned to show off his fang-like canines along with the claws on his fingers. "I'm not entirely sure how to explain it fully... but this is who.. er... what I am now.Shun could smell all of the food from the food carts that were cooking away or awaiting customers to buy them. Every sound and smell seemed to eclipse upon one another that awoke his senses even more. He was able to quickly disassociate them from one another, finding exactly where they were coming from. His eyes noticed in finer detail the people who were passing the three of them by, he knew them by face but he also now saw them much better than before. Shun was not entirely sure how to explain it to anyone else except that his senses were on overdrive. The more he thought about it the more he came to realize he had sensed both Takera and Averus much further off than he had realized. Judging they were about a mile from the gate Takera had left from, he had been able to catch Takera's scent another mile past that. He was not entirely sure how far out that could have been due to outside factors of wind carrying the scent, but realized he was able to find the scents of others around him easily. It seemed overwhelming at first, but he adjusted it to slowly. He decided not to try to test anything else out just yet as he wanted to make sure his body had been fully acclimated to the changes he had gone through. Shun had hoped that he would have run into the wolf from the other night at some point, but he was not sure where he was. He could barely catch his scent, which made him wonder if he had dreamt the entire situation that happened to him last night. Was I.. losing my mind... hmm...Shun shrugged off the thought and refocused back on everything going on around him with Takera and Averus. It was then he turned his head in the direction of where the cloaked figures had been standing. He had sensed their presence earlier, but did not think of it until now... they were new scents to him. He looked back over to Averus and yawned, shrugging a bit. "I ate on the way here." He replied as he took a swing from the bottle of tea he had in his jacket pocket. >"Morning, Takera"
Takera stuck with the wave, deciding not to speak just yet. Glancing over at Shun beside him, he noticed the stark differences immediately. The only word he could think of to summarize the change was 'beastial'. Takera returned his gaze to Averus long enough to hear the remark that he has noticed changes with both of them. Takera's gaze averted back to Shun as he seemed to almost energetically assert his response. As Shun began to vaguely describe his changes as some kind of relation to a hidden blood line, Takera wondered if perhaps these peculiarities were more of an emerging phenomenon with people and that perhaps something strange was going on in the world.
When Shun explained that he could sense Takera almost two whole miles away, Takera became increasingly curious. It was quite the talent. When Shun concluded, Takera raised forth his gloved hand from his side. He debated just what he could and couldn't safely show them while out in the open. He glanced from his hand to Shun then over to Averus, pulling free his glove slowly he revealed the strangely healthy and vibrant white skin of his hand. Something that then became increasingly apparent to the two if they were then take note of his facial skin. Takera noticed at one point that Shun seemed distracted with something in the distance and wondered just what it was he was experiencing.
"I don't exactly know just how to describe it, but there's a running theory presented to me. One that suggests my normal form can only be maintained through something known as 'Life Energy'. I don't really feel comfortable going into too much detail right now, but you would be right to believe that my physical being has metamorphosed. Whether that is a good thing or not has yet to be verified." Takera explained before sliding his fingerless black glove back over his hand and adjusting it just so. Averus would then inquire as to what they would all prefer to do today, even inquiring about food. Takera paused for a moment as Shun chimed in and sipped from a bottle of tea he had been carrying on himself. "I wasn't all that certain I would find you both so soon, and I exhausted myself playing trying to make up for lost time this morning. I ate, but it seems my metabolism is still spiked. I'm not objecting to food, if it were presented, though really a quiet place to sit and drink something while discussing important matters might be more adequate for us." Takera responded, looking to get the group pointed in the right direction to start the morning off. "Plus, it would seem you may have already eaten." Takera stated playfully as he happened to notice a slight grease mark at the edges of Averus's mouth and pointed to what appeared to be a small grease spot on his outfit just about center of his chest.
