The Chief frowned deeper, his forehead looking like a crumpled sheet of metal. For a moment he glares at Shinken before stepping forward to stand directly in front of Averus, his height causing him to tower over the boy. "What brings you here, boy? The mines are not a traveling destination, in fact you're very far from the common path." The man asked, his tone was soft but stern as he ignores the question for his name.

Averus Ikaru
Averus looked at the Chief, noticing how his forehead seemed to look like a crumpled sheet of metal when he frowned at him. He spotted the glare at Shinken for a moment before turned back to look at Averus, wondering if the Chief did not like the sudden shift to intimidation that Shinken took toward Averus. In any case, Averus felt he was still in a sort of bad spot already, and looked up at the tall man who towered over him easily. He noted how the Chief did not give away his name, seeming to just ignore that question.
Averus sneezed again, rubbing his nose as water dripped from his hair. He almost felt surprised that neither had mentioned his ash-colored skin, though then again there was several people in this clan that looked more like men of metal, so strange skin colors probably would not faze them.
“Well, firstly, I did not take the common path to get here. I had to take a...leap of faith, if you want to know. Though, plummeting into the mines was not what I thought would happen to me, even more so the fact that I landed in a pool of water and lived. At the moment, I am just counting myself lucky.” Averus told the Chief, looking over at Shinken then looking back toward where the rest of this clan for a moment before he looked up at the Chief.
“Though, from the looks of it, lucky might not be the best word to use…”

Shinken caught the glare from the chief and internally cringed. He hadn't wanted to sour relations at all, but apparently his approach hadn't been appreciated. The man called Averus explained at least partially how he got here. "What could have possibly possessed you to leap off of one of those cliffs?" Shinken asked. He knew why he had done it, but he hadn't leaped blindly into the black, he at least had a safety line. This time when he spoke his tone was less intimidating but still held an air of seriousness about it. After all this could be a trap by the guards. They had been chasing him after all.

The chief nodded, a hand rubbing his chin softly as he thought. "That certainly is a good question..." A grunt from one of the nearby clans men drew the chief's attention. Leaning towards the man, he lent him his ear for a whispered discussion. The look in the man's eye gleamed dangerously as he looked from Shinken to Averus. "We are short on time, we are needed elsewhere. I will be blunt with you Averus, we intend to assault the citadel on orders of Princess Sisirinah. You may die here and now or you may assist Shinken and his team with their efforts. The choice is yours." At the man's words several of the clan step forward, a total of seven men and women. A moment later Shinken would be flanked by the eldest of the chief's sons.

Averus Ikaru
Averus looked over to Shinken at the question about him leaping off the cliff, and what would possess him to do something like that. He mulled over the answer for a moment, unsure on how much he should tell to two strangers. “Well, I am unsure how much time has passed, but before I took the leap, there was several guards who seemed keen on taking prisoners for no real reason from what I could tell. I attempted to run, but they seemed to not like that idea of mine, and gave chase. From there, I tried to leap to a lower bridge level, but...well, I’m here instead.” Averus sighed a little. What a pain, he thought to himself. Out the frying pan and into the fryer, some would say. He looked over to the Chief when he gave him the two options, but it was clear which one he was going for if it meant not dying. Averus nodded to the Chief, but then looked around as he saw several other clans members surround him, Shinken, and the Chief. One of them seemed to even look like a younger version of the Chief as well. “Given the two options, I’ll be taking the one that will be helping Shinken then. So, what’s the mission then?” Averus asked, though clearly a bit nervous as he was thrust into the situation, he was gonna have to do what he could to help. If by some luck, he’ll be able to find out if he can find his teammates. Takera would probably be fine, but Shun went missing earlier before Averus fell into the mines. He hoped his friend was alright, at the very least.

Shinken looked over at the new recruit and sighed internally. He didn't have time to brief Averus right now. Every second they wasted meant their job was going to be harder. "We're assaulting the trial of Leoman, and putting the princess in power. In other words we're getting rid of the corrupt officials and returning the city to the way it was meant to be." The young Uchiha said without missing a beat. The man at least deserved to know he was going to be risking his life. Shinken looked over to the Chief and nodded in acknowledgement that he was ready to start the mission immediately.

Quote: Objective: Locate the Bishop. Kill any guard, soldier or priest that gets in your way. Exit to Holy Citadel Entrance The chief nodded his head once, "Good, good. Then we begin the assault now! Find me the head of the Bishop!" He instructs Averus and Shinken before turning to the rest of the Irikura, the chief raised his arms in a grand gesture. "Today we take back what's ours! We break free of the unholy reign of this city's rulers! Take up your arms, brothers and sisters and strike them down!" With a triumphant roar the clan, the seething mass of metallic skinned warriors begin to barrel towards the paths that lead from the mines straight to the Citadel's entrance.

Kaito will find the end of the tunnel will lead him to a large raised foundation made of metal. Littering the top of it was huts of all sizes. Torchlight illuminated the area and from the entrance of the tunnel he had just exited he could see a stairwell descended from the top of the foundation back to the ground below. The area seemed deserted.

A beat and battered Kaito found himself walking through some dimly lit tunnels, unsure of where he was going. Things were quiet and for that he was thankful after the day he'd just been through. The further he walked the closer he would get to the light at the end of the tunnel, and when he reached that he'd cautiously scan the room before entering. "Where the hell am I?" He'd moan dragging the treasure behind him. Looking around he would realize he stood atop of some sort of metal foundation, covered in small huts. He was doing exploring to say the least, so digging through these huts was on the bottom of his to do list, thus he would make his way to the staircase and follow a path which would soon take him back to the main city.
