Being in the know is very important to him, and gossip a grand weapon to strike out at those he doesn't care for. He's very much the sort that one would compare to a serpent, beautiful but dangerous.

Shesha is smarter then he lets on as well, feeling that it's best to keep that sort of thing hidden so as to be allowed to move about as he pleases. Better that he look the part of someone who just has a pretty face because it gives him access to places others might not be allowed, though flirting helps with that as well when it comes to certain nobles both male and female. If he thought that he could get away with it he would likely flirt with the very king of Oba if it meant getting ahead in the world. Since it's unlikely though he will stick with doing so with the various nobles that leave themselves open to his sort of using.

ASPIRATIONS/PERSONALITY/BIO

Aspirations: To become a member of the upper class be able to stand there on his own two feet instead of at someone's side. He will also seek out the power of magic at some point in the future, but that isn't the first thing on his list of things to do.

Bio: History: Shesha was born very much as a nobody, the last son born in a household with many kids, and it was quite unlikely that he would be all that much if he'd stayed there. His was a bit family, the sort where his father saw a lot of kids as a statement of his masculinity but he didn't exactly have no much in the way of money they they were able to get a lot of things that one might one. Things like hand-me-down clothing that went through various kids, and various patch jobs, before getting to him was just one example of how things went for Shesha. They weren't well off and it led to a bit of in fighting among siblings as they got older, as well as the desire to do what was needed to be the 'favorite' in effort to get more then the others, leading to a bit of strain between sibling relationships. As the youngest Shesha had the hardest time competing for the longest time, leaving him without fairly often, and also built up a competitive streak in him. He wasn't the sort that wanted to remain as a nobody in his family which developed to him not wanting to be a nobody in general, quickly growing far too ambitious for that. He saw what others who were better off had and he wanted all of what they had and more.

It was when he learned that one could use a smile and sweet words to get what they wanted that he started to grow into the person that he is today. It was something he did first with just those in the area around him, those outside of his family, using them first to get what he wanted even if it was simple things. What he got he carefully horded after getting it taken away from him by his older siblings when they found him with some sort of sweet food or shiny bauble that he'd obtained on his own.

The moment that he was able to do so he broke away from his family, finding himself a patron among the higher ups of his neighborhood, the first being an older woman with no children left in the nest. Her having no children around, all of them being quite busy and spread out all over Oba and beyond to visit often, made her perfect. Despite her being at times severe when it came to her new charge Shesha didn't mind, he felt that at least she saw him, which did pleased him greatly. He found himself drinking in all he could from that her when it came to what was needed to fit in in the upper class. She's wasn't noble by any stretch but she was still far more then he was. If there was anyone in Shesha's life that he might have really and truly loved it was her, not because she helped him in the first steps forward, but because of the attention he got from her. She was also able to introduce him over time to people that would aid him in stepping up in the first, putting distance between himself and where he came from. The idea of going back to what he'd left behind, even for a moment, and once more becoming what he was is something he doesn't want to thinks about.

It was through meet and greets that he made his version of friends, those who were more then friends, as well as a few rivals, amongst those with higher standing, something that continued until the present day when he finds himself as the 'friend' of an older Oban woman. He goes with her on her various errands, to social gathers, dances, and plays the part of her arm candy, while looking ever for his next potential patron. He's yet to leave her though because her pockets are deep and they support his various tastes, not to mention she has many good contacts among the nobles he wants access to. Shesha, even with his learning, was below her in station but someone she took, flaunting Shesha in her husband's face, a bit of spiteful revenge toward a man with several mistresses. It caused him to be privvy to more then one of their arguements but even that wouldn't drive him away from her since she is almost perfect in his eyes. Were he to find someone better, he'd likely leave her, something she knows since she is far from his first, but it's something she puts up with for her own reasons.

Deep down there might be a softer, more affectionate part to him but its something that he mostly ignores. The idea of doing something so foolish as to fall in love with the wrong person being the most horrifying thing in the world to him for instance. His mother's main failing, his mind at least, was that she fell in love with someone and it caused her to go along with the man's stupid ideas, the main one being that they needed a lot of kids. He's the sort that wants to keep a tight hold on everything he's gained so far and continue with his upward momentum instead of getting tripped up by such dangerous things as emotions. Why sacrifice his own comfort and happiness for what he feels is a fleeting emotion? Especially when he's seen on various occassions the end result? Especially with him being on the arm of a very angry and spiteful wife. The thing that would cause Shesha to jump ship and abandon one of his patrons faster then anything else is when one of them declares their love for him. He'd much rather be kept around for less then honorable things then something like that. Desire is far more easy for him to understand then love. Lucky for him that awful emotion isn't something that his current patron has toward him, using him as much as he is using her.

~ Currently living as the friend of Lady Alhana Shesha spends his time going to flashy parties, making friends among those of the upper crust of Oban society. He has a lot of fun learning the secrets of others, feeling they will be quite useful later.

He doesn't get spoiled nearly as much and is stuck dealing with the 'old man's' sense of humor but if he will get powerful magic out of it he will learn to deal. On the up side he might have a pet assassin in his future if all goes well...

~ Shesha currently stays in a beautiful room all his own within the home of Lady Alhana and Lord Fiath, playing the part of Lady Alana's arm candy/boy toy. His room is next to that of Lady Alhana herself, complete with a big bed, dressers full of pretty clothing, and a balcony where he can look out over Sulburri. It's where he always dreamed of being, though one day he means to own such a place of his own instead of being a pet for someone else.

~ Amanita is a very strange, very rare creature from a foreign land. The imp was purchased by Lady Alhana and given to Shesha as a present. She knew that he wanted to have a sprite of his own and felt that an imp would be even better since it was more rare and therefore more to Shesha's liking because of that. Not just everyone has an imp after all.

Earthlings: Fire

The people of Oba live in cramped conditions, producing Tendaji's first real cities to reside in its time. These fire earthlings live in a desert-like environment with two large Oases that the cities crowd around. This requires light, breezy fabric and shoes to endur the heat of the sands during the day.

The fire earthlings of Oba have skin ranging from a medium tan to a skin the shade of night, all in a reddish hue. Their hair is dominated by reds and browns, ranging from light browns to dark deep reds and blacks, this red hue seems to also carry into their eyes, ranging from light light red, almost white, to deep wine colors. Like the other earthlings of Tendaji, the Obans have crystals, though these crystals are large, orange, and shaped like smoothed, polished rocks, not round, but not rough either. These large orange crystals are found almost exclusively on their shoulders and upper backs, possibly creeping up to their necks or as far forward as their upper chest, residing in virtually no other place on their bodies.

Due to the structure of their society and the working of their people, they have a wide spread belief that they not only are the favored people of Tendaji, but they are meant to rule the rest of their neighbors. Even those who do not actively want to conquer, can't seem to find it in themselves to care about what happens to the other folks of Tendaji, having the ingrained belief that they are chosen by the gods and turning a cheek to the rest of Tendaji, almost as if they don't know how to acknowledge other's sufferings or degrading positions in comparison to their own society.

Religion: The people of Oba believe in a whole pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, partitioning all parts of life to a god such as birth, death, fishing, ocean, a king and queen of the gods, etc. There is always a different name to pray to depending on the situation at hand. The major players in their pantheon include:

On'os God of time and fortune
Lenoxe Goddess of fishing and feasts
Kiyom God of wood and lumber

Government: The people of Oba live under a nobility system that peaks with a King to dictate all that goes on in his lands. The King and his family, as well as many of the nobles live in Sulburi, Oba's capitol, while there are lesser nobles living in the other large cities as the eyes and ears of the King. The King also dictates the forces of his army, which involve another system of rank including generals, advisors, and strategists that all live within the city of Sulburi in the surrounding area of the palace.
